I had a daith piercing done by Kala a couple weeks ago and my experience was the best! Kala is very knowledgeable and kind. I appreciated his perspective on the art of piercing not having levels to master but being a continuous process of growth and learning. The piece he made for me is beautiful and unique anodized to look like gold, matching my other jewelry. I also appreciated Kala taking the time to explain the whole process and aftercare. The studio is very clean and full of art. Cannot recommend enough, mahalo nui!

Kala did my nostril piercing and it was the best experience. He was very detailed and informative when it came to the piercing, process and aftercare. High quality service and supplies! I went in a week later to ask about a piercing bump and he was really helpful and informative about why it happened and how to heal going forward. Adjusted the rod and stud size and helped it look and feel 100x better! Couldn’t recommend anyone more real and knowledgeable.

I had a great experience getting a septum piercing done here. Everything was very professional, well done, and we had a great conversation. You can definitely tell that the owner knows what he is doing, loves his job, and is committed to giving every client great work. This was my first piercing ever and I was really anxious, but he was wonderful with talking to me and keeping me distracted. But still talked me through the actual action of piercing my ear with the needle. Calming music for chill vibes beforehand! Loved the environment he has set and definitely goes out of his way to make you feel as comfortable as possible.

Kala is rude. Made me and my friend feel pretty unwelcome. Probably having an off day/maybe even an off month or year but man.. I didn’t expect that, I won’t be returning personally and I’ve had loads of body work done/piercings in the past so it bummed me out to try and make something work here and have it flop. I didn’t get work done by this guy so mind you, this is a low star rating based off of an ice cold encounter.

He has done my lobe piercings and my industrial. He was very informative and explained very directly what I needed to do to keep my piercings from getting infected. Other reviews said he was rude but I assume they took that because he’s blunt and straight to the point. I will go back there for all my piercings. He knows what he’s doing and explains if a piercing might be hard with your body anatomy.

TERRIBLE SERVICE AND RUDE. I came in to get a piercing and was judged for having a disability . i wouldn’t go to this place to get a piercing if you want to get treated terribly for something you can’t control go here! no respect smh. the piercer also left a cuton me from trying to pierce me and gave up after.

I got my nose done here a while ago. Just got a custom industrial and I love it. He is very knowledgeable and straight to the point. Love this guy! I would definitely recommend this place! The bad review is not true. He doesn’t do only what he wants, he just does what’s best for the customer. Sometimes the anatomy of your body is different and doesn’t allow the piercing, and he does explain that. He’s awesome!

Immediately when I walked in I could tell the place was very clean and sterile. Kala was very cordial, professional, and knowledgeable. He knew exactly what he was talking about and thoroughly explained everything to me. Before the piercing he asked if I had any questions and concerns and was patient with me. After the piercing was done, I wasnt aware that I had to pay with cash and he let me run to the atm at the gas station to go retrieve cash. Primal Soul and Kala has left a memorable impression on me and I have already recommended/recommend that people go get their piercings done there as well.

Ive been going to Kala over 10 years, he is by far the most knowledgeable piercer on the island. He takes the time to explain why some piercings I wanted just wouldnt work. He also educates you on other piercings which would be more suitable.

Kala is awesome. He was on his way out but instead he fixed my piercing that someone else messed up. Then explained why I was in pain. If your planning to pierce anything go to Kala not a store.

Don’t go here, make the drive to Kona it’s worth it. The reviews here were good so that’s why I went. They said that he really knows his stuff and will advise you if he thinks there’s a better way to do your piercing, but that’s not true he only wants to do what he wants. I went in to get some piercings and he was very rude to me and didn’t want to do what I wanted, he tried to talk me out of it by showing me a book of messed up percings to scare me (I should of left). When he realized I wasnt going to budge on what I wanted he got even more rude. He made negative comments about my vision and my body. Please don’t go here he is so negative and rude I wouldn’t what to give him my money and wouldn’t want anyone else to have the same experience as I did.

Went to get my tragus pierced on 04/13/2017 and I was referred to Kala by some coworkers. I will only go to him from now on. He tells you if he thinks a specific piercing is right for you and the area you would like to put it. I wanted to get both done and he gave me his opinion as to doing them both at the same time due to needing to sleep on one side of the face, he stated that one of the piercings would more than likely get infected and for that I I trust him completely... THANKS KALA see u in a few for my other tragus piercing!!!

The name has changed from sin City to primal souls, so if your driving around looking for the sin City sign its not there. And just be prepared for someone who knows what theyre doing but is Stern and not really empathetic.
