Three weeks after a tuneup I pulled into the shop because my bike had a bent derailleur hangar. They properly aligned it, insured everything functioned as expected, ordered a better grade replacement, and told me I could ride using the existing hangar until the new one arrived. Excellent timely service, very professional!

THE best everything - starting with the phone CALLS and incredibly friendly and inviting customer service I received and same friendliness in the flesh - foreshadowing the next piece of this review - as I entered the retail shop...The retail shop is flush with GREAT merchandise, and there are at least two and usually three or more options (typically good better and best) for every type of tool or accessory that they stock. Their inventory is well managed because NOTHING is out of stock and the prices - hard to believe I know but its true - are competitive... With AMAZON let alone every other shop in town.As far as the bicycle service goes, youre not going to find yourself in better hands than you will here, and THAT is probably the best thing about Rock Creek Cyclery. Im not necessarily A person who needs a lot of assistance with the services that my bicycle needs, but so many folks DO need it. And the no nonsense friendly service that I received here was OUTSTANDING. They treat you with respect and meet you where you are at in terms of your knowledge and understanding of your particular bike and biking in general, and THAT is so much more than can be said about SO MANY bicycle shops in and around Portland. Thank you so much guys I will be back and Ill continue to come back for everything I need.

I just get myself in Hillsboro for 2 weeks and 2 days for now.Covid-19 made me to go through kind of hard time. I have money to buy a car, but DMVs appointment congestion shows no way to get a car. I couldnt get my license converted.I needed something faster than walk, or run. desperately, to bring my life more normal.Almost 6 days passe since I ordered bike from Canada, finally got a package and brought 2 bike repair shop for basic tune up.but every bike shop was busy. they told me I can get my bike at least 2 weeks from now, maximum 1 month. but I need to go campus, go hospital within 2 days.but this guys, they could relate my situation. Once I said the DMV and less than seconds, they could squeeze me in. they knew I couldnt have a car.It would be unfair for someone in the line, but I tried to walk for places. Literally took me 1 or 2 hours. so what they provided, means a lot for me.they tuned up quite fast and precisely. I kind of assembled all the parts, but I couldnt feel sturdy. after tune-up It felt different. like He said, tuned-up to last.I can definitely recommend this shop. I commuted by bike for 4 years once I was a university student. having a trustful bike shop is a big part of bike life. you really need one you can trust.Thanks again. RCC! I had to go through all the reviews to see if I had made one before, and I cant believe I havent. Ive been a customer of theirs since they were in Bethany Village, and Ive NEVER had a bad experience. Their prices are more than fair, service turnaround is lightning fast, and theyre the friendliest of any bike shop personnel Ive ever been to. Went in with a bent wheel and they gave my nearly defunct bike a new chance at life. the building is a little cramped but service is amazing and you can tell that the people there actually care about you. highly recommend !!!

Utilitarian spares and thoughtful accessories at this local shop are welcome local offerings by experienced, supportive cycling staff. I really did just need one thing a few minutes before closing time, they cheerfully helped me and another late arriving family with a first kids bike and many questions.

We never even got to go there!Their door sign and website said they were open on Tuesdays, so early that morning, my husband called to see about making an appt. They werent open, so he left a voice message. When they hadnt called back by Thursday, early that morning I sent an e-mail with a brief description of what he needed done for his bike and with all of my contact info. Here it is, Saturday, and we still havent heard from them.Despite their good reviews, well be finding another repair shop.

I contacted rock creek cyclery to fix flat tyre of my bike. He explained the procedure, time and price over the phone clearly. After I brought in my bike it was super quick... in less than 10min its was all done. So fast...If I remember the name correctly it was Martin who took care of my bike. He explained a lot about each parts and mentioned what was the difference between mine and the ones he had in the store since my was a basic model and was looking to get better one. Overall it was great experience. One thing for sure was that he knew in and out of what it. They also have different accessories for the bike for sale. I would reccomend anyone to get their bikes tuned and repaired from rock creek cyclery

I brought my bike in for a tune up. They cleaned up the bike and fixed issues I did not know about. They originally suggested new tires. After the technician looked at, they decided it wasnt needed. It ended up cheaper then I thought. The bike repair took 5 days including the weekend.

Im happy with the service I received at Rock Creek Cyclery. My only issue was that they got busy so the tune-up took longer than initially discussed. This isnt a big problem but I would have appreciated a quick call to let me know. I really liked that the final cost was exactly what they estimated.

As far as bikes go, I admit I have limited experience and knowledge but as far as customer service and treating customers with kindness, dignity and professionalism goes, I can speak to that. My interactions have been with Martin and Nitin and these guys are amazing. Not only will they genuinely do their best to take care of your issue, they will treat you in a way where you won’t hesitate to approach them anytime you need help. Yes they are a business but it seems it’s not just about the dollars for them, they will gladly answers your questions and give you straight up, honest advice. Oh and they actually know what they are talking about.The only thing I’m upset about is that I didn’t go to them sooner! So if you are thinking about this shop, stop thinking and just go talk to them!

Wow! What an awesome little bike shop! They were super helpful, affordable, friendly, and did my repairs while I looked at their fish tanks with my daughter for a few minutes. Every community needs a bike shop like this. Ill be back for sure!

If I could give a rating to this Business, I would give it 10/10 Always because it has the most amazing, friendliest people, when my first bike broken, I went to them and the owner was so nice to give a bike for (I think) $200 it is a very nice bike whenever it needed a repair i would go to them (this was when they were in Bethany). They would give the estimated time when it was done. Even tho they moved to a bigger place I still go to get my bike fix. Thank you for helping me! ❤️😊

Awesome shop! After damaging my rear caliper beyond repair the staff helped me to purchase a replacement. I dropped off the part and the shop did a timely repair. The price was more than fair and not only did they do an awesome job, they provided a technical explanation that will help me in the future. Im so happy to have this shop so close to home and Ill definitely be back!

After struggling with a Kryptonite Wheelboltz all morning, contacting 2 other bike shops and not getting a response, I called Rock Creek Cyclery. They said they could do it right away. I came to town for a couple of days and really wanted to ride a bit. I was fortunate to rent fro Rock Creek - the rate was amazing (nearly 1/2 of what bigger shops charged) and the service was great. The real tipping point for me was the quality of the bike I got. Not just disc brakes and carbon fiber everywhere - it was the quality of the maintenance! The gears shifted properly and effortlessly, the brakes were flawless and the position was easily adaptable to my needs (I moved the hoods, dropped the saddle a bit, and moved it back to be closer to my normal position.) 2 rides and over 100 miles later I had no pain or discomfort and the bike was terrific throughout - including substantial dirt sections on the ride to lost lake! Excellent customer service. As I walked in, they greeted me immediately even Martin was working on bikes of other people. Very friendly & easy to communicate. Have the job done quickly. Very convenient location. Reasonable price & I personally think it is cheaper than other bike shops I have been & it also saves me gas & time to drive out of Bethany village. Had a simple tune that went swimmingly and got valuable input on a bikes for my daughter in conversation. Friendly and knowledgeable people that enjoy their work.Been back a few times and they continue impress. Even when swamped they do what they can to give accurate information and best possible options.

Staff was nice enough, but they wanted $8 for about an ounce of brake fluid. I try to support local businesses and I understand that they need to make a profit. I was told by another shop not to even consider paying more than $6 for a small bottle though.

My back wheel was stolen and I tried every other bike shop in Hillsboro with little luck. I took my bike in and the staff talked with me for like 20 minutes, making sure I knew all my options and listening to my needs and wants. The quote was spot on. They shipped my parts from Washington, so there was no long wait. Really glad to have my bike back, thanks guys.

Bethany Bike Repair is awesome! Martin was very helpful and is a fantastic bike mechanic. He got my road race bike running smoothly again after other shops had not. This place has great service and quick turn-around time. I highly recommend Bethany Bike Repair for bikes and cyclists of all kinds.

Great little shop, with good owner. I went there to get a quick look and finish on my bike at 6pm. Store closes at 7 pm. Still they gave my bike a look over and quickly fixed it.Also, the shop is a bit inside, there are yellow coloured small signs along Nicholas drive to guide you. This street is between alocleck and ccherry drive.

Great shop with a personal touch. Martin has brought a much needed service to the west side. I am sure you will find that his experience and personal attention is great for families as well as elite racers. I highly recommend this shop if you live in Washington County.

Took my bike that had been unused for several years and made it like new again. Its dialed in, with good brake and derailleur adjustments. Bike was cleaned very well too. Maybe better than new now👍

They were very nice there. They were very courteous they even put the stuff that I had gotten there onto my bike without any extra charge. And even though I went a few cents over what I had they said it was fine. I would go back here for any bike repairs I ever needed to especially since its local.

The mechanic was very knowledgeable regarding mechanical disc brake performance. Provided a variety of options to improve my brake performance and do the repairs on the spot. Quite reasonable prices as well! Will definitely continue to get my business. :-)

We loved this shop when it was in our neighborhood and after poor experience with REI, followed to their new rock creek location and again got great instant service and a correct diagnosis of a problem REI couldn’t fix. We’ll be coming hack for all our bike needs. Saved my butt too because got a new saddle as well. Great staff, great service, great shop puppies!

They did a very nice job on my bike. The work appears to be 5 star worthy. There is one issue which will keep me from coming back until they fix the issue. At that point, I would probably review 5 stars.The bikes are in front of their space, on the sidewalk, not locked up. On the day I dropped off my bike and the day I picked it up, the bikes were sitting out for the taking. There is no way the repair guy can focus on his job and see all the bikes outside the building. A simple cable running through the bikes wiih a lock would fix this issue.

Ben had good service. He fixed my flat tire fast and I was in and out in no time. Cheaper than other bike shops around but still high quality service.

I would rather support a small buisness that does a good job, and has excellent customer service at a more competitive price than REI or the Bike Gallery.

Martin was awesome in helping me assess the fit of my current main ride, a Trek Crossrip. Ive owned it for three years and the original shop I purchased it from never peformed a valid fit for me. I was almost to the point of wanting to ditch this otherwise sweet ride (which is what brought me into this shop in the first place). Martin would not accept my frustration. He offered to observe me ride in the quieter parking lot behind their store, made some adjustments to seat height and position, and gave me a tutorial on proper posture for the geometry of my bike. My shoulder tension and pain went away immediately. He advised that I continue to ride with these changes for a week or two, then reevaluate things at that point. To top things off, he didnt charge me despite my offer to pay. No matter the outcome of my saga, I endorse Bethany Bike Repair and their way of conducting business.

I am unsure about comments from Martin regarding kid bicycle. I went there due to issue with rear tire (not flat tire but improper air pressure which cannot be easily fixed). He said something wrong with front tire as well, and suggested replacement of whole tires. But I put accurate air according to manufacturer recommended value and double checked just before been there. It does not make sense. I do not have experience with adult bike but I do not at least recommend for kid one. He said too many screws on it which appears implying ate up too much his time (it seems to me he is not happy with), and it is because of foreign product. It is decent one as I know of.

I am very Satisfied with my experience at Martins bike shop. I came in with a broken front shifter for my road bike, he assessed the problem and got me back on my bike swiftly.I highly recommend this shop if your an avid road rider.

I had my 2012 Salsa Vaya serviced here (major tune) and was very happy with the results. As I mentioned to Martin, my bike hasnt looked this clean since I bought it. I had one follow-up appointment where I asked him to install new brake boots for my BB-5s and he did that free of charge.

Bethany Bike Repair has the best customer service, the most reasonable prices, and the repair is perfect.I had them replace the headset on my 1985 Bianchi mountain bike. The replacement headset matched the original. The headset is smooth and perfectly set up. The bike was ready when promised. The cost was one third what I expected from experience at other shops.Time to ride! YESSS!
