We had an incredibly positive experience ordering our new washer and dryer from Hutchins. I went into the store not knowing much about which brands or models would meet my needs, and the sales staff took extra time to answer questions and help me make an informed decision. I did not feel any pressure to buy any particular product or buy something that day. When I called to place our order later, the process was fast and easy. And when the delivery person arrived, he was friendly, super careful bringing the machines inside, completed the installation quickly, offered to change the door position on the dryer to make unloading from the washer easier, and taught me the best way to use each machine. The whole process from the store to my house was pleasant and easeful.

Hutchins is a local, family owned appliance store with a nice showroom and excellent service.We purchased 3 appliances from this store and we plan to purchase from here again next time we need an appliance. I really appreciate Jim taking the time to educate us on options and guide us in a much better direction based on our needs. There was no sales pressure. The pricing and delivery dates were all clear. There is no way to get this level of customer service at a big box store.We are happy with the dryer, dishwasher and freezer we purchased. Our refrigerator went out on us after 17 years of faithful service on an early Tuesday morning. Wife and I visited the Hutchins show room later Tuesday and -- within 15 minutes -- Michael Swanson helped us select a great new refrigerator. Installers came by one day later and got the old beast removed and new one working in about 90 minutes. Friendly customer help and the store and in our house by the installers. Got exactly what we wanted in the replacement unit, too! Thanks guys. What a difference from a big box warehouse or chain store. Youre our go-to store for future appliance purchases.

It is great to have a local appliance store with employees that were so much more knowledgeable than the big-box stores. They knew what was in stock and what was back-ordered off the top of their head which helped me make a decision so I didnt get my hopes up for something that wouldnt be available.

As a Kitchen Designer and Remodeler, Hutchins is my pick for appliances! I love the local feel, the HIGHLY knowledgeable staff, and theyre truly excellent service. When the schedule to deliver their window of time is 1/2 - 1 hr. - NOT 4 hrs which is the norm for Big Box Retailers. Overall it is a lovely experience and you cant go wrong. I highly recommend them!

My wife and I were searching all over for a new dishwasher after ours died. We found the model that we really liked at Lowes and was told...theyre sold out all the way to Bend. Same with all of the other big box stores.Then we called Hutchins, maybe 30 minutes from closing time. Jim was friendly and polite to work with: he confirmed that they had the model we were looking for, were competitive on price, and issued the invoice to us that night.Even before settling up the bill, Jim had given the all clear for delivery so that we could get the model installed the next day. Talk about prompt service: from first phone call to cleaning dishes in ~18 hours.Next time, well just skip the big boxes and go straight to Hutchins. Im glad we found this store!

These guys are pretty amazing! They were very pleasant to deal with. Courteous, friendly, helpful. The washer they delivered wasnt working quite right so they fixed it immediately and now everything works great. The washer had just been delivered to them by the factory so the problem wasnt on their end in the first place. Before they repaired the washer they told me if, worst case scenario, the washer was unfixable and theyd have to order a new one for me, they would take the old washer and loan us another washer to use while we were waiting for the new one to arrive. Great people. 10/10 would buy appliances from them again!

Purchased a refrigerator and was delivered that evening!!! .My refrigerator stopped working and needed immediately...unfortunately was not able to deliver until later in week....It was a warm day...proceeded to put my items in a cooler. Jim from Hutchins personally came out after hours and delivered my refrigerator. There service was above and beyond any I have ever had. It was truly a blessing. None of my food was lost! I was excited when I found this place thinking I could buy local and the reviews were great so I went with it.Price here was identical to the big box stores and overall initial service was pretty decent but that was the end of the quality service for me.First I went in on Wednesday, was told I could pickup my appliance on Friday. I called Friday they then told me Wednesday. I called Wednesday they then told me Friday. I called Friday they then told me the next Wednesday. 14 days to get an appliance didnt sit right with me and not even an apology for the delay.Then to top it off they seemed irritated by me asking for a simple receipt for my order.Sadly I would have been just as satisfied if not more so just heading to the big box store. I really wanted to have a great positive experience I could share to boost local business but for me I wont be making further purchases here.

Were still waiting on our order to come in which has been backordered due to the pandemic but when we had a minor issue (that seemed like a gigantic issue at the time) Jim from Hutchins called us up and made sure everything was OK. They didnt have to do that and its things like that which make the biggest difference in quality of service.

Outstanding service. My wife and I went to Lowes and looked for a range. It was ok but we found the smaller Hutchins quite a bit better. They actually listen to you and are not in a rush to sell you something. They take the approach that the appliance sells itself - they are there to guide you and answer questions. They dont try and point you to the most expensive item. Really great folks. We bought a GE Induction range.

A limited selection of appliances; Extremely friendly and caring staff.A few months ago a friend was looking to replace her wall oven so we spent a few hours visiting some appliance stores in the general Portland metro area. We ended up at Hutchins TV, Video & Appliances on a spur of the moment, last minute search of appliance stores near us as we were driving.The first thing that you can not help but notice is the bright yellow truck from an era gone by and it brought a smile to both of our faces. When we walked in, we were quickly greeted by a young man who worked there, but we did not get that pressured feeling that we had gotten from other stores. We quickly looked at the selection of appliances and when we did have a few questions, the young man was knowledgeable and friendly and displayed a friendly demeanor.The one tiny improvement that I could suggest is that he could have been a bit more familiar with manufacturer rebates. We knew of a rebate that he didnt, but that was because of our shopping around previously. But to his credit, he stayed positive and didnt display any abrasiveness that Ive gotten from sales staff for knowing something they didnt.Ultimately, my friend made 3 purchases from Hutchins and does not regret that decision. There was clear communication on all fronts regarding the expected delivery of the appliances, when we could expect a call from the installers and what to expect when the installers arrived, including some possible extra charges due to appliance size differences.Kudos to the staff at Hutchins for their friendly and comfortable environment!

Went in looking for a fridge with relatively little idea as to what we wanted but left with the perfect one. The sales team did an outstanding job helping us just one that fits our needs, and they did not push the most expensive one either. The whole process was smooth and painless. Nice and friendly service .Clean store with products that we didnt see at the big shops. Jim helped us pick out a washer and dryer without being pushy. He seemed very knowledgeable about the appliances he showed us. They even managed to do a same day delivery witch saved us a big headache. Delivery guys were nice and professional and put in the extra effort to keep our house clean when removing our old unit. We need a new fridge soon and Hutchins will probably be our first stop.

My dryer knob broke so we went to Hutchins nearby for a replacement. They ordered it, got it in quickly, and its actually the right color. The old knob didnt match. While we didnt get the call when they got the part, I explained the problem and they kindly reduced the price a few bucks. It was unexpected and very nice of them.

We arrived late. We called and he waited for us. He understood our needs and in a few minutes had us comparing several choices. Friendly and knowledgable and a better deal and a fraction of the time of a big box store.

My washer broke down as my grandchildren were being dropped off for the weekend. Since it was time for me to start working on their dinner, I did not have time to research.Our go-to place is Home Depot; however, they did not have anything that could be delivered for at least 5 days. By the time we left there, it was nearly 9pm so we came home and I started looking on the internet for anything local. (were fairly new to the area).I found Hutchins Appliance and I arrived as they were opening hoping to find a nice set, for smallish money, that could be delivered same day....I know the impossible want.To my surprise, not only the pricing was comparable, but they could have it to me by the end of the day....turned out it was within a couple of hours. Ive been bragging to my neighbors and family since.The salesman could have told me only the pricy models were in stock to get a higher sale since they could deliver right away, but he showed me the sales special first, and they were in my price range - and similar to big box pricing.The gentleman who did the delivery was polite and very knowledgeable. When he was done setting up the machines, he explained the features as well.Guess where Im going FIRST should I need an appliance instead of the big box store :-) Hutchins!!!Thank you for saving me and being great!

Called for help with finding a tiny replacement part for our microwave. Considering the part was about $10, they were very helpful and friendly in looking at the problem, figuring out possible options, and helping identify a path to resolution.Customer service was fantastic, well definitely go to them for future appliance needs.

They connected me with their in house repair person who gave us advice over the phone without the fee to come diagnose. He even texted me pictures and part info to help us out. Over the last 15+ years I have purchased over 10 appliances from Hutchins.While I still shop around every time i need to get a new appliance, I always come back to Hutchins. They meet and beat prices, bend over backwards to help me out, are courteous. We couldnt be happier with our experience with Hutchins. We purchased a washer/ dryer set, and the sales person was very knowledgeable and helpful. When the set was delivered they had reconfigured the dryer to vent out the side instead of out the back to fit our laundry room. They also had all the needed paper work and receipts for the rebates. Their prices are competitive with Big Box stores and if you shop here you will come away with a smile on your face.

Hutchins provides phenominal Customer Service! I had a hard time getting answers and a delivery date that was soon enough at Hdepot. I drove by Hutchins on my way home. Stopped in and had such an enjoyable experience. It didnt even feel like I was buying a stove. These guys know their appliances fully. Its impressive. They delivered super fast and even took away an old appliance!! By the end of the week I have 2 move appliances scheduled to deliver! These guys work really hard to deliver fast. I appreciate it. I just got amazing customer service by Hutchins. I had a problem with a washer that I bought there 3 years ago. When I called them, they helped me out. The amazing part came, when they went and found my file, called me back and told me that per the warranty, they would pay for the labor as well as the part to be fixed.To recap, they spent the extra step to find my file, call me and cost themselves money.They have a buyer for life.Doug
