Going here for years family of 5. Long time loyal patient of Dr Whithers. Walked in for appointment and approached desk at 1110. Front desk and office manager said I would need to reschedule as they have a 10 minute late policy. Interesting as I usually sit and wait 20 plus minutes to be seen. No worries - if they can’t be accommodating we will take our family of 5 business elsewhere. Dr Whithers was great, but he left. I was going to buy some new glasses but the reality is this place overcharges for glasses so I highly recommend you shop around around.

I had an appointment in the building and needed a new Eye doctor. I walked into Myeyedr to see is they take my insurance and deal with my conditions. I was greeted by the assistant manager, I believe her name was Michelle? She was able to look up my insurance and give me information about the doctors and told me about the testing they can do in that office for my condition. She was also able to call my old doctor and get my records which made this very easy. I also appreciated that everyone in the office was wearing a mask it made me feel safe and comfortable. Because of that both my husband and I will be scheduling appointments here.

Walked in to get my glasses adjusted and was greeted right away. The young lady that helped me was so kind and quick. She not only adjusted my glasses but cleaned them and gave me new nose pads. Great customer service. Will definitely be coming back.

Great experience! Dane, the optical specialist, took the time to call our insurance plan to work around a rule. He truly wanted to give us the best deal and help us out! He deserves kudos!!

Recommend getting glasses elsewhere. They are great at taking your money. Not great at providing a service. Sat there waiting on an adjustment to brand new glasses and watched while I got bypassed by walk-ins with no appointments. I will spend my money elsewhere.

Dont ever give them your phone number! I quit seeing them several years ago after screwing up my CL order, and they wont stop with the harassing robo-calls and messages trying to schedule a new appointment -- Ive called, E-mailed, told them Im not a patient any longer, asked nicely for them to stop, everything, but they still wont stop.

Great place! I had an eye appointment with Dr. Ridder who was very nice and knowledgeable. I was having some issues seeing with my new glasses. The staff was very nice. They got me in quick and got my glasses fixed and adjusted!

I had a great experience here! I was not happy with my first set of glasses and the frames I picked. The optician staff were very patient with helping me figure out what would work - I must have tried on every pair in the store! They cheerfully replaced my original glasses with the new ones. The had to shut down before I was due to pick up the new ones, so without me even having to ask, they sent the new ones to my house. It cost me nothing to exchange the original pair. I am very satisfied with their service and product selection, and they take my insurance.

I had to switch eye doctors due to a change in insurance, and was hesitant to leave my previous office. I’m glad I was forced to make this change, because I was so pleased with Vision Care Specialists! Everyone was so kind and welcoming, from the front desk staff to the techs, and Dr. R was great. The visit felt thorough and all information was made clear (billing, explanation of tests, etc.) Highly recommend!

This a great office with a really awesome staff! All the way from from the check-in process, to the sizing and fitting of frames (if you so choose to get them from here - which you dont have to do by the way; and Ive never felt pressured to purchase on-the-spot).Ive been going to Dr Witters for about 5 years years now and honestly feel very comfortable trusting him with my eye health. I have the early stages of AMD and Dr Witters has always shown great care and empathy, as well as the right degree of concern for honestly for what I need to do for my own personal eye health. He is realistic about what his capabilities are, and if it comes time, will refer me to a retinal specialist.I truly appreciate that they are honest, forthright and respectful about what the can and cannot do. I will coming back and recommending these guys for years to come! :)Oh, and by the way, I believe that the Teri Dames review is a fake. There arent any part time doctors at this office, and the lack of details says fake all day long.

I had an excellent experience working with Vision Care Specialists; everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I’ve been ordering glasses online for a while now because I was intimidated about going into a store, dealing with actual people, and trying to work out insurance. However I decided that I wasn’t really happy with any of the cheap frames I got online and wanted something a little higher quality. So happy I came here, the entire staff (and Sean - the manager - in particular) were super helpful. They worked with me to find new frames that I loved, get an updated eye exam, and a new prescription for contacts. They were super patient with all my questions and gave me straightforward honest feedback without making me feel stupid. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

I came into Vision Care specialists with my glasses and contact prescriptions in hand from another office, and Camill helped me find a great pair of glasses, as well as helped me to get my contacts for the best price possible. I truly felt she had my best interest in mind, and I will definitely be back! So nice to find a place you can trust.

The whole staff is amazing! They are very courteous and nice. They made the whole process so easy and I absolutely love the selection of eyewear that they have. They’ve been nothing but helpful!

I applied to get a $200 rebate on some contacts. The contact distributor was arguing the $200 to $100. I told Sean White about it and that they only gave me $100. While most vision places would have said thats their deal and they did send $100...Sean called up the chain and went WAY above his scope to get me that other $100. While not a big deal to him, a big deal to me! Sean and his team always go above a beyond are so fun to be around. You will always have my business!!!!! This was the best experience I have had in my 60+ years of wearing glasses. Most everyone I dealt with was upbeat, knowledgeable wanting to help. Only down side was the cost. However, I will say that part of that was because of options that I picked and the style of frames. They did offer a Veteran discount and that was wonderful. My opinion, that if you want high quality eyewear and high quality staff I would go to Vision Care Specialists.

I was taken care of in a very timely manner. I had only sat down for a minute after checking in before my name was called. The entire staff was very friendly, helpful and patient with all my questions. I went to Vision Care Specialists after my sister recommended them. My experience was excellent and Im so glad I took her advice. Everyone from reception to optical was great! It is a refreshing change to have eye care professionals treat you like a person as opposed to another anonymous customer. I havent worn contacts in years and Dr. Roberson totally took the time to make sure I got the right ones. Highly recommend!!

Dr.Ridder is my absolute favorite! He is always very patient and makes you feel so at ease and comfortable. He is wonderful at explaining/addressing any questions I have. The Dr. made me wait 2 hours and was incredibly rude during a medical eye exam. I left crying and was absolutely appalled with how I was treated

Ive now been to both the Highlands Ranch and Aurora offices of Vision Care Specialists and have had a great experience at both. Last weekend my I brought my son and he had a very thorough exam. He was thrilled to not have to have dilation because theyve got retinal scanning technology that works even better. We picked out an amazing pair of glasses and everyone at the office was amazingly helpful and knowledgeable. My whole family is switching to Vision Care Specialists from now on!

I have been going to Vision Care Specialists for almost 15 years. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. Dr. Witters is great and reliable. I’m always happy to see him to get any adjustments needed to see clearly. So..... HAPPY.

Made an appointment for a specific day because it was the only available day on my calendar, but the person I spoke to over the phone messed up the day on her end. When I showed up, I was told I had the wrong day despite having verbally confirmed for 1/18.If I can’t trust them to get the date of my appointment right, can I really trust them with billing my insurance? What about my Medical records?I judge medical offices of any kind by the weakest links in their chain, so maybe I’m being harsh, but this was definitely a really bad first impression.

I look forward to seeing Dr. Ridder, I appreciate being treated by a doctor who knows me as a person as well as my vision issues. He is masterful in fine tuning my contact lens correction. The entire staff is helpful, professional and knowledgeable.

Greeted as I came in with a cheerful voice and a beautiful smile! Very short wait and a charming and knowledgeable tech did the routine tests for glaucoma, etc. the basic eye tests (can you read the bottom line which is 1/16th of an inch tall from 50 feet?--I couldnt) and then Dr. Witters came in. He explained what was going on with my eyes, we talked about the very first indication of cataracts, the importance of protecting ones eyes with dark glasses, etc. No pressure to buy anything at all -- and a very productive hour spent. My prescription for glasses is always available there to take anywhere I choose but, the staff who fit and help you find the perfect frames are a good bet when it comes to more good service!Im a great fan of Dr. Witters but, Ill bet all of the professionals are as good as the support staff.

My husband and I see Dr Ridder, and have for several years. We absolutely love him and his staff. My husband would not trust anyone else with his eyes. Dr Ridder got him in immediately diagnosing his detached retina and sending him immediately to an eye surgeon, all within a couple of hours!

Was in this past Saturday for an overdo exam. I got taken back within minutes and after doing the pre-exam stuff saw Dr Witters pretty quickly. He was thorough and answered all my questions. Once done with that sat with Marissa who was incredibly warm and friendly. She did a great job of picking out frames I liked and at no point did I feel rushed.

This office is not yet MyEyeDr as they claim to be. I have been to MyEyedr locations in the past, however my receipt from this location says Vision Care Specialists. MyEyeDr accepts my insurance and this location does not. When I called the Myeyedr customer service they told me they had no records of me being in any location recently. They should not be advertising that they are a MyEyeDr until they have fully merged systems.

Dr Warta is very professional and knowledgeable. He is thorough with the eye exam and is very willing to answer all my questions.

I hate to write a bad review, but this one was earned. My husband used them first, had to have his glasses re made because the lens was not made correctly and there was a spot that had no prescription in it what so ever. So I looked when he picked them up and decided to get a pair for myself. I was talked into a new type of lens that could be life changing, well it did not work for me and they kindly re made my lenses into what I usually have. So I called to see if they were ready the day after they were supposed to be, and talked to a very arrogant man who told me that they had to go through a thorough inspection before I could pick them up. I picked them up after waiting for a few minutes and had to run. Turns out that there are 3 marks on the lenses themselves. So I call again and was told that the marks would come off over time by cleaning them. Well they didnt. So I go back yet again and the lady tells me that they are etched into the lens and that it will not come off. She was kind enough to look at my record and said that since they had already changed the lenses once they would not re do them even though I think theyre defective. Ive never seen or heard of lenses having permanent etching that I can see when I am wearing them. Very disappointed!

Great doctors (Dr. Ridder and Dr. Chonka are my favorites), great opticians to help you choose eyewear and fit it to you, and great selection of frames!

I am only giving 1 star because they won’t let you give none. I really don’t know where to begin. I will say they have tried to get the script correct on my lenses, but I am on my 4th visit to attempt to get the script right. It doesn’t help that they gave me a part time doctor at the facility. I, like most people, have a job. We are lucky if we get/have flexibility. I was trying to take advantage of the flexibility, but they don’t care about your time. Thursday, i was taken back to the exam room at 8:30 (the time of my appt) I sat there & sat there & sat there. 30 minutes later & the doctor is still in another room at the EXACT SAME TIME as my appointment. I was lucky to have been given the time for that appointment. I showed up at 8:15 for an 8:30 appt. I feel like I was more than patient......I sat in the exam room for 30 minutes, no doctor & no update. DO YOU THINK I WOULD HAVE BEEN SEEN IF I WAS 30 MINUTES LATE???? HELL NO!Not only did the staff not know how to handle someone that was walking out after being disrespected, it is over 36 hours and NO ONE has called to apologize or correct the situation. Horrendous customer service!!!!! I sat in a room for 30 minutes, I let the front desk know that when I walked out & let them know that I also had a job and that my appointment was at 8:30 & it’s now 9:00. Blank stares. They were unresponsive & said nothing. The entire situation is reprehensible. I work at a title company. If we tried to make our customers wait 30 minutes AND PROVIDED NO EXPLANATION, then we would have NO business.

This time I went to VCS because I had a bit of an eye infection. Given that was a Saturday and I was a last minute appointment, I was seen within a timely fashion. Dr. Roberson and Staff were very kind, especially since I had to bring my 6-yr old daughter with me. There is only so much sitting she an do and I appreciate the kindness shown to her. She was very curious and the doctor allowed her to look into the devices once he was finished with my screening. I did not want to be there, but thank you (Dr. Roberson, & VCS Staff) for making it easy.

Vision Care Specialists made an appointment quickly, and Dr. Warta quickly diagnosed my eye problem, with a remedy that is working now. He even looked up my medication to see where I could get it at a reasonable rate. Ive purchased my eyeglasses there as well, and I always get compliments on them.

I went to this location about three years ago, and the service was ok. Why have I decided after so long to write a review about them and one that is so negative?Well, after my first visit, I had received a reminder telling me that I had an appointment when I had never set one up. When I called back they said, Oh, well we have you down but we can remove you. Thats why we call to confirm. I am certain I had never made that appointment but I let it go. Another year goes by and it happens again. Same thing. So, they basically lying to the people who are in their database so they can increase business. Im not sure if thats a legal business practice but it certainly is sleazy.Today as I am reviewing my email I see that Vision Care Specialists thought it would be a good idea to try to make referral money by signing me up for spam email about Jimmy Choo and his trunk show. Its about time Doctors, Dentists, and now eye specialists need to be reminded that their primary function and purpose for existing is to serve their patients, not sell them snake oil, walrus teeth, or monocles.

Dr. Taylor and his team are the finest in south Denver Metro. He was my O.D. 6 years ago, then I had to travel significantly, moving around the US for work. I am back and the first and only eye care team I called was Vision Care Specialists. I trust them with my eye health care and vision, and so should you.

Dr. Warta visits two offices, and this is the first time I went to the Highlands Ranch location. The staff there is just as friendly, courteous and helpful as they are at the Lakewood location. They take the time to explain what they are doing and why, and Dr. Warta is awesome!

Quoted $132 and promised a call back on Monday. No call Monday. I had to call back twice before getting the individual (Todd). He then tried to quote me $280. I asked him why, and he said, oops, no its the $132 as promised. Later, a charge on my card for $182. No call from Todd of VCS telling me that they had to charge an extra $50, they simply just charged it. So I had to call them and was given the run around. Wasted 3 entire days and now have to start over

I had an emergency visit. There was a question as to whether my insurance would cover the visit. Michele from the Highlands Ranch office made it her problem and took care of it. She was concerned and I am so thankful! Dr. Ridder, as always, wonderful.

They ordered the wrong contact lenses for me twice, and overcharged me for them. I received a check in the mail from the lens distributor for $276 for the overpayment. They gave me the incorrect trial lens so many times that I have no idea what I’m supposed to be testing out. And I still can’t see well with any of them.

Dr. Ridder is the best! Ive been his patient for about 15 years and since go many miles out of my way to continue to use his services. My son has also been his patient now for about 5 years. Dr. Ridder is extremely competent, but he is unique in the way he really listens to a patients complaints and experiences and then thoughtfully works to come up with solutions that fit the individual. I also have had very positive experiences with the entire staff as well as the optical staff who help out getting your prescription filled for glasses.

Dr. Ridder is wonderful. Weve upgraded my contact lenses to newer materials and improved the wearability as my eyes have aged (ack!) and to improve the oxygen balance. Ive been to both the downtown and Highlands Ranch locations based on work locations over the years, and have had a great experience each time.

Somewhat disappointed with my recent visit. The doctor was running at least one hour behind. I understand that some patients require more time, but I wish I had gotten a heads up by way if a phone call to come a little later. Also, the office temperature was unbearably cold.

The help here mislead me into thinking that my glasses would take 10 days or less and after waiting 14 days I have to recieved my glasses. If glasses are all you need, I suggest going else where.

Nice enough people but Im still amazed as to why the bill was ~$430 for a normal contact exam. ~$130 after insurance.I was charged for the *exam* as if it were for special contact lenses such as toric or gas permeable even though I am just getting normal Acuvue Oasys contacts.I probably would have saved $100 by going to Wal-Mart.

I have been a patient of Vision Care Specialists for 30 years. My family goes to them and we always have had great service. Our Dr. Jaehning is now retiring but we will still be seeing them.

I have been going to Dr. Ridder for about 10 years and it is amazing how much he can tell about a person health by looking inside their eyes. I am dreading the day he retires, however, I hope to be a patient of his sons one day if Dr. Ridder does retire!

They fit me in ASAP when I came down with shingles in my eye. Also sent in prescriptions to Walgreens while I was still visiting my doctor in their office.

Good doctors but the glasses folks dont get it right. I have purchased glasses here multiple times because of the good selection of frames, but I have had problems everytime.

Their doctors are good but holy cow are they ever pushy for you to purchase your glasses with them! One of their associates even texted my sister asking for her credit card number for a pair of glasses she DIDNT want. Totally weird. Would not go back.

Never go to this place. Spam equivalent. Took $39 for opthos saying it is optional but even after I specially asked for a copy, kept saying email not working or CSR is busy etc. and never sending the copy. One person asked me to come and get a hard copy. Went again to know they cannot get a print out even. Pretty pathetic customer service and waste of money.
