When I first move to HP I went to them because I felt they were courteous & seemed reasonably priced. I had my family bring there cars there (4 cars) all of them still have same issues we initially brought cars in for! Every time we bring cars back about the same problem they say it’s something else! I wanted to support them I wanted the to be our mechanic but when you’re paying $1k to 2 cars $1.4K for 1 car and almost $2k for the other ALL in a matter of months it’s time to give up!!

I do not recommend going here. Dropped my truck off at 8 am per what the lady I spoke to told me to do. I called 5 hours later and they still haven’t started working on my truck.

High Point Tire is a wonderful auto repair shop. I called needing tires before we get snow the next day. Danny answered my call, enlightened me on the options they had for tires, then got me scheduled by Robin all in a few minutes. Even though I waited until the last moment, they took my problem, solved it and did all of this with a smile and treated me perfect from start to finish. If you need work done, GO TO HIGH POINT TIRE! They do good work, and will address your need as best as possible.

I was traveling for Furniture Market and as soon as I pulled into the parking lot of my show room I found out I had a tire going flat. I googled this tire shop and drove straight over there. I was greeted right away and they immediately got to work plugging my tire. It took about 10 minutes total and completely saved my day. I can’t say enough nice things about the guys that were working there and how helpful they were!

My husband and I had been taking our family car to High Point Tire and Automotive for a while and had been pleased with their service...until Christmas Eve. My husband took the car there and spoke to an older gentleman (who he had never spoken with before in his many trips there) about the issues we were having with our car. Issues that we had had before, and were recently “repaired” by them. After explaining the issues, the gentleman got very irritated with my husband and interrogated him as if he were lying about what was going on with the car. Finally, my husband left after expressing that the gentleman was being rude and said he would take the car elsewhere. This gentleman proceeded to follow my husband to the car yelling for my husband to speak with him. My husband, of course, did not want to speak to him because he was being rude and unprofessional. So my husband got in the car and this gentleman waited outside the car, still yelling for my husband to get out and speak to him, and then when he got tired of yelling he stood there and stared at him waiting for my husband to get out of the car. It was very disappointing behavior to see from an adult, on Christmas Eve, and from a business that up until then I would’ve highly recommended to people. We have an older car that has needed a lot of repairs lately, and we will be giving our money to another business from now on. ✌🏻

The most transparent, friendly, informative mechanics I have been to! I would highly recommend anyone to come here. They didn’t try to sell me more than what I needed, they didn’t try to tell me something else was wrong with my car that wasn’t, they were completely honest with everything and I got exactly what I paid for and more. They took me right in even though I didn’t have an appointment because my car was almost un-driveable after hitting something the night before and having to be towed. I will definitely be a returning customer.

I dont leave very many reviews, but this was just bad. I took my car here because I was unable to get it started. It would run, but not start (manual; roll start). Clutch safety switch $140.00 later I pick my car up. Everything is fine at this point, however, I get home and notice my lights wont turn off now. I take it back up there, within 10 minutes of picking it up, and get charged another $46.00 for some break switch. Did not have a problem with my lights not turning off before! So something happens to my car while they are working on it and I get charged for it? This is the society we live in now, this is what weve become. This is why I go to work everyday; to get overcharged on car parts that break while someone else is working on my car. The one star is for your employees being friendly, otherwise Id leave zero. Ill be sure to let everyone know my experience.

I highly recommend this auto shop. They are honest, timely and cost efficient. We took my 2007 Toyota highlander to them today due to an issue that we expected to be costly. This shop could had told us something major was wrong and over- charged us as many shops are guilty of but High Point tire and auto did not do that, they fixed only what was wrong with out adding on unnecessary expenses. They did this all in the same day although they were busy. I traveled from Burlington, NC to High Point NC as recommended by my brother because of bad experiences in the Burlington area from previous shop visits. The staff are nice and polite and down to earth. Thank you guys!

Go to Auto Service Shop when I cant do it myself and others wouldntTook my 06 Ram 2500 diesel, 4X4, extended cab, dually, long bed to two much closer local Auto Service Shops, both came up with lame excuses as to why they could not/would not even look to see if they could find a Freon leak, AC not working.Call H P Tire n Auto made an appointment, left it there, a few hours later, Danny calls me, I expect the worse, found the leak, not expansive repair. i know from past experiences, this would have been made out to be a much more expansive repair by any other shop I would have taken it to.The integrity and honesty in this shop are outstanding. Great people, all around. Thank You Dale and Danny for keeping it old school🙏

Friendly people with a welcoming atmosphere! They don’t overcharge like some auto shops. They had to order a part and I was thinking it was going to take days to come. Luckily, all they had to do was wait for NAPA thats down the road to deliver it and it was there within the hour. I was very impressed by that and satisfied! They didn’t have time to do an oil change. But I’m guessing it’s because they are so popular and probably had a lot of customers ahead of me. Also, they offer complimentary beverages while you wait, access to TV with a list of channels and they have comfortable seating.Overall, I am happy with the service here and I will definitely be returning. I am very impressed with the friendly smiles that greet me when I enter the front door. Luke has been servicing our car since before he got out of school and when he moved to High Point Tire I and a lot of my friends followed. I havent regretted it. High Point Tire also has a clean waiting area and offer TV and coffee while you wait. That in combination with the care and friendliness, make me very comfortable about doing business there. And I appreciate the follow ups they do also. Im hooked.

On Friday, I was quoted a price of $71 per tire for 4 tires and $405 total with an alignment. When I had my car serviced on Monday, the price on the tires jumped to 84 dollars per tire with a total of $457 for the alignment. I didnt know of the price change until after they had serviced my car. My fault because I should have asked for the original quote in writing on Friday but I wont do business here again.EDIT: Do not dare call me a liar. Receipts attached. The first one shows the $155 that I paid when I came in on Friday the 28th. That was supposed to be half of the price for the tires that needed to be ordered. The second one shows the balance that I paid when my car was actually serviced on 03/02.

Tick, tock. The hours are winding down before my NC State inspection is due and I have to pay the late fee.My car has a tire that could not pass inspection. Dealership performed my routine service and inspection, but said it would be a day until they could get the tire for my car. While they were figuring that out, I was on the phone with another place up the street. Took the car up there, got the tire replaced, but the guys didnt express a whole lot of interest in finalizing the inspection - even though I had thoroughly documented paperwork from the auto manufacturers dealership themselves stating the car had passed save but for the bad tire; should have been the quickest State inspection that place had ever conducted and those guys would have been home on time (it really didnt look like they were anywhere near closing up shop for the night, anyway). Nope. Tick, tock. It was between 4:30-4:40 - too close to yabba dabba doo time for them, I guess.I had passed High Point Tire & Automotive several times before on Westchester having never known about it. It stood out to me because I live in this part of HP, but I dont do anything on Westchester.4:55 p.m. I pull into High Point Tire & Automotives lot (uh, warning to the wise.....its a little cramped and has some terrain in parts) and was greeted very professionally and courteously by a young lady that asked the right questions and expressed genuine interest on why this was such a pressing need for me to have this service done so quickly. The desk attendant was back two minutes later saying that theyll have my car taken care of in a few minutes.No more than 30 minutes (and several very kindly provided refreshments and snacks) later, my keys are handed back, car having passed State inspection. Ill come here again without a second thought.

They seem to be nice people. Because of this, I hate to write this review. But I thought I had an obligation to let others know I was disappointed in my experience at this shop. Their prices are on the high side. They recently did a trip check for me that cost 55 and it appears they missed issues with my car. Everyone makes mistakes but this is not the first time it has happened in my experience. In fact, the last time we went to them, my girlfriend had them to look into why her ac didnt work a couple years back. They claimed she had a leak and needed to spend 300 dollars to repair it. Given the cost, she went to another mechanic for a 2nd opinion who said she was just out of coolant. Her ac has worked ever since.

Im a decent shade tree mechanic and have been turning wrenches as a hobby for 20 years. I have successfully tackled transmissions, cams, clutches, timing belts etc. There are times, however, when an issue goes beyond my expertise or I dont have the time or tools to deal with something. When those times come, I call High Point Tire & Auto. I have had 4 appointments thus far for a variety of things such as A/C, suspension and a drive axle and each and every service has been a fantastic experience. As a hobbyist experienced at working on vehicles, I can tell you with utmost confidence that you can trust this shop. The parking can get a little crazy, but think about it: thats a very good sign that so many people are at this shop! Keep up the great work guys!

My 2005 Volvo XC 90 was acting up and the check light come up and I took it to there and they said it was a line that was broken and they told me it will cost me $300 to $500 to fix. I said okay go head fix it and after they finished Dale called me again said that wasnt the issue now they will have to change the spark plugs and I have to pay an additional $380 or almost $700 to fix. I told him which owner of the chop if the line wasnt the cause why I have to pay $300.00. and started to curse me out told me to leave his office. Usually, I always take my car to the dealership but my brother was suggested to him. and they not being honest or has any kind of conscience. I suggest everyone deal with the dealership only some of those guys ripping people money.

Lots of people will work on your car. It takes a real professional to say- I am not the one that you need. My car has only 4000 miles. On the way out of town every warning light on the dash illuminated and the gear shift locked. My husband is ill, we were headed to Duke. Needless to say, I was in a bind. I called High Point Tire. Within 10 minutes they had a tow truck there who stayed until a ride arrived for us. The next morning High Point Tire called to tell me what was wrong, that they could fix it, but that they shouldnt. It was under warranty and this costly repair should be on the dealerships dime. Now that takes a special kind of professionalism and care for their customers. High Point Tire has always taken wonderful care of us and our cars. We will never go elsewhere.

High Point Tire take their time to do a professional analysis of your auto trouble and then reviews the recommended repair path. My wife feels comfortable and is treated with kindness and respect and professionalism. The owner even looked at my tires and instead of selling me a new set, let me know I had 6 months more on them. Thats honestly that is rare these days. Every repair has been complete for our vehicles without any issues following. We will continue to take our car and van to High Point Tire for our repair and tires! Simply the best. Look no further. You will thank me.

Recently took my vehicle to hpt & auto, I was told my problem was fixed only to find out it was not, they replaced a different coil than the one my error code indicated,my car was just as bad when I got it back as before i took it there, I took to a another local business that did the job correctly. Save yourself the headache .

I contacted them via their website to obtain a pricing quote for a power steering repair. I was contacted by email and told to bring my car in to see what the issue was. I asked if I could make an appointment for when I get off work after 4pm and received a rude response. I was told I needed to bring my car there in the morning and leave it all day for them to do the repair. When I asked if I couldn’t just bring it down there for an estimate before any work is authorized I did not receive a response. I am unable to leave my car because I commute to work and I don’t have anyone who can drive me to work and I don’t want to miss an entire day of work for car repair. I don’t appreciatebeing told to just let them do the work without knowing what it will cost me first. I’ll take my business elsewhere.
