I have been taking my pants (jeans, suit pants) shirts to her to have shortened. She did pretty good job to cut it to lenght, stitches and ironing as well.Beside that she also had helped me to custom alternation for my suit, pants waist and kurta (Indian Traditional dress). She also had helped me for my daughters dress and sweet sixteen dress for friend of mine daughters as well with an excellent job and trun around time is pretty quick too.I definitely recommend to friends and family for her work.

I brought a dress to Sonu that I planned on wearing to my nieces wedding. Sonu did a terrific job of taking the length up on the 2 layered dress. When I tried it on, I realized that I decided that I wanted it made shorter. Sonu shortened the dress, no questions asked, completed it quickly and didn’t charge me anything extra. Ive been going to Sonu for almost 18 years now. I can confidently say that Ive yet to have a bad experience with her. Everything she has stitched for me has fit like a glove. She truly is an artist. My blouses are all one of a kind. She is extremely creative and so good at bringing my vision to life. I have called/texted her late night in a panic saying I need something done in two days...and bam...its done. Shes a pro. She has been my go-to tailor for every milestone from my my sweet 16 in 2002, my engagement lengha in 2015, my wedding saree blouse in 2016, and most recently, the suit I wore for my sons baptism. If I had time I would wouldv posted more pictures of everything shes tailored for me over the last 18 years. We currently live in NJ but any time I have an event...I take that trip out to Hicksville.

Sonu is the best! I have been getting my clothes altered by Sonu since 2012. She altered my wedding lehengas perfectly. I live in Jersey now and have tried a couple of tailors out there and have been left completely dissatisfied. They are just terrible. I stopped wasting my time with them and come to Long Island everytime I need my clothes altered. She fixes them perfectly in the first try and happily makes any other necessary adjustments. I had been going from tailor to tailor in Hicksville looking for someone who could stitch a sari blouse when I came across Sonu. She was available to quickly take my measurements and within a few days had stitched my blouse, petticoat, and sari itself. I am so happy with how everything looks. Even when I decided later on that I wanted the sleeves a bit tighter, Sonu offered to fix them for me the morning of my event. She is incredibly sweet and talented, and I will definitely be back. Her studio is very welcoming and she has some great ready made clothes available that I will also be going back for.
