I purchased my Subaru a few years ago from Grand Prix Subaru in Hicksville. For awhile they were awesome. I recommended several friends,neighbors, and co workers to them. They WERE very accommodating and thorough. The employees WERE extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and caring. Unfortunately all that has all changed and not from the pandemic. Prior to COVID I had several issues with them and so did the people I recommended. The employees have gotten nasty, rude, and seem to have acquired an extreme lack of knowledge of anything that is going on. Jessica who answers the phone seems to show up to work when she feels like it and laughs about it. I witnessed this my self on one of my many Unfortunate visits. Iris has no clue about what is going on with customers cars and gives them the wrong information. It seems like they have changed owners and the new owner doesnt care about the quality of employees he or she hires. The customer service has gotten terrible. I have spoken to Clinton the service manager and he was rude. I have spoken to Dan Ross the GM of that location, he didnt seem to Care about my concerns and actually hung up on me. Shame on the owner of this company to allow such horrible behavior of their employees. And if it is the same owner shame on you for allowing the quality of your service department go as far downhill as it has. This was my first and last purchase from Grand Prix Subaru. My recommendations moving forward will be run as far away from this dealership as you can. There are many more places to buy cars from that still value their customers and put customer service as their top priority.

I had a very interesting experience with BRIAN KOCHNOWER. When I first met him he was professional but it was just a business nothing personal ( but Im Russian so we kinda on the cold side and dont talk much to people we dont know. I even gave him little weird look when he said some joke :). ) But then while waiting for all the paperwork I told Brian Im going to smoke and he came with me to smoke too. What an interesting amazing knowledgeable person he is. Brian has some stories! Real life stories! I you ever have to do business with Brian please ask him about his beautiful diamond ring (some cool story), ask him about his yellow car and the Vietnam War. Its amazing how from almost barely talking we were talking with no stop. (I dont think I ever talk so much in my life :) Yesterday I went back to visit Brian. There were so many hugs and so many more stories! I didnt want to leave. Also I never had a Subaru before but this is the best car I ever had! Im so in love with it! ( I told Brian my Camaro was my favorite car of all cars I owned and I love my Subaru even more!) Thank you Brian! The smile I have on my face every day! People at work all noticed how happy Im lately. Oh, and on top all the amazing stories from Brian, he also educated me on some things about the car! I live in California and was in the market for a 2019 STI S209, given the car is so rare I had to search nationwide. Good service recovery - after a frustrating start. Brought my car in for appointment to address a tire recall. Arrived at appointment time but had to wait 40 min until service write up. I was then told itd be at least two hours until car would be seen. When expressing my frustration to a staff member, she said “I am sorry you feel that way”. She could not find my recall repair on file, but her colleague did. Kudos to Clinton who is dealing with a high customer volume in a limited space that the dealerships success has caused them to outgrow. Clinton arranged transportation for me home and had my car dropped off that afternoon, washed. General Manager Dan also called me to address my concerns and outlined efforts they are taking to resolve issues noted. There is room for improvement even with space confines, hence no 5 star rating, but I give 4 stars because of the very good service recovery. I hope they are able to expand capacity soon for my sake, other customers and theirs. Its tough being in the service industry, especially during this pandemic - including personnel and equipment shortages.
Got my very first Subaru about a year ago and got it from here. Very friendly staff. Service is done in an appropriate timely manner and is now very organized and by appointment. Super dog friendly! We went for a walk and then waited in the lounge area for 20 mins. (My pup is 2 years old and is VERY well behaved, she just lays beside me whenever we have to wait for anything).The waiting area is very spacious which is great (specially during our current circumstances) and it has very comfy chairs.
Brian Kochnower from sales could not have been any better in helping me buy my pick-up truck. He wasnt pushy, and answered all the questions I had. I simply told him the vehicle I was looking at, he handed me the keys, said Take it for a drive and let me know what you think. It was as simple as that. I was in at out within a couple of hours and was able to drive the truck off the lot that same day. I would recommend this dealership, but Brian to anyone. Not to mention when it came time for the finance side of things, even they werent out to get you. I told them what I wanted to put down at what interest rate and they made it happen. BEYOND pleased with this experience.
Marie Marshall who was my salesperson was great; very knowledgeable, understanding my needs & she worked to hard to satisfy and she delivered. She is true customer service material. Shes a keeper and deserves a bell ringing for great service!!
Service Department & Danielle F. were great. I had bought a certified used car with all their recommended warranty plans. After taking possession, I noticed some small problems (slight steering vibration at highway speed, some rattling on uneven roads at slow speeds, water on floor from a/c). They gave me a loaner without hesitation! They took the time necessary to fix everything beautifully. Danielle kept me apprised every day (it took over a week). But everything done great and I had no inconvenience!
This was the best experience I ever had at the service department of any dealership! Dan took care of my recalls, warrantied service and the other services my car needed. He was honest, efficient, and professional. But mist of all, he communicated frequently to keep me informed every step of the way. Wanted to give them a try cause they are close to my job so I took it in for an quick oil change. Took it during my lunch break and asked them to do nothing but an oil change so I could get back to work. After making me wait over an hour in which the sales person kept on trying to get me to trade in my truck, the service guy came out to tell me that after they performed a full inspection they have a list of stuff I need. First they strongly suggested I change my brakes since they are so low. I spoke a little louder and I asked him to repeat that part and then I pointed out to him that they are brand new and only installed 3 months prior. So please explain how this inspection could be accurate! He stuttered and said well he is only telling me what the machanic told him. He had a few other things but dropped them quickly when he realized he was already caught lying about what I really needed. Not only was this a huge waste of my time when I was in a rush but they felt the need to also take off my license plate bracket and installed their logo one so I can give them some free advertising. I didnt realize that till I got home. I quickly unscrew those and threw them in the garbage. I give two stars cause they did change my oil but they are some shady people. Will NOT be going back.

We bought a car from Grand Prix in the summer of 2016. Initially it was a poor experience. Since then, they have really turned things around. The service experts have become considerably more knowledgeable, considerate, organized, and just plain old helpful. My husband really only deals with one rep because of aforementioned poor experiences, but since then they have changed up the staff. If you can, ask for Randall as a service expert. Hes got you covered from the initial call, all the way through getting your car back, and beyond. Definitely a major reason I will be sticking with Grand Prix in the upcoming years.
My husband took my car in to get the oil changed and they told him we needed the filters changed, and a tire changed as well. My filters were changed 3 months ago and the oil change should not have been charged as we are still within the year of the purchased date. According to them for the first year we would get free oil changes. This is really disappointing as I have had great service until then.

Went in for service on Saturday for my 2017 Outback. Randall was able to get me in and out, took care of all my questions, and was extremely courteous and helpful. 10/10 service from this guy.
Greeted on Arrival. Promptly Attended. Kept me updated. Professional Service. Clean and large enough waiting area with tea and coffee. Chris was pleasant to work with. Despite being in by 7.45 am on a Saturday Morning it took 2 hours for an oil change. Too long. The cost of oil change in terms of time very very very costly. Probably thats why auto owners relegate it to back burner.

Service at Grand Prix Suburu is always excellent, but that always depends on the people providing contact with the car owners. Daniel was excellent at my last service call, providing up-to-date information and excellent communication and follow up. My only complaint about that dealer so far is that I had to wait 20 minutes in my car before anyone logged me into the system to check my information for my oil change; that’s because they are so busy…which is a good thing. However, that is a minor complaint in the overall scheme of things.
This is my 2nd leased Forester from Grand Prix Subaru. I recently drove in to have an oil change on a Saturday, and Danielle Forchelli, my Service adviser this day, took me in on this extremely busy day. She was very pleasant to deal with and kept me informed the entire time. She made sure everything was completed in a timely manner. Amazingly, I was on my way in an hour and a quarter. Danielle Forchelli was incredible in the service department. She explained what was needed to keep my Ascent running as new and was able to replace two parts that were under the original warranty. When I finally decided on buying a new car, and then a Subaru, I was told by a good friend Vinny and the team at Grand Prix Subaru was who I should turn to. Man, he was 100% right. It is rare today to find a company that goes out of its way to do the right thing when a problem with their product or service occurs. Grand Prix Subaru stands out in trying to make things right! I recently had a service problem with Grand Prix after purchasing a Forrester from them. I placed a negative review on Google as a way of venting my frustration. Almost immediately after posting this review, I received a call from Dan, the general manager, asking to make things right. He even offered to pick up my car and return it after service. Living far from the dealership I was amazed at the offer, but brought the car in myself. Once at the dealership I was personally greeted by Clinton, the service manager, who saw to it that my car was brought in immediately for service! I have to say that I am blown away by the lengths these two gentlemen went to to create goodwill. They both should be commended in making customer service priority one at Grand Prix Subaru!! Did an oil change and waited for my Forester. It took about one and half hours. Processing my car, the paperwork, took longer than expected due to short staffing, Disappointed Grand Prix no longer provides any refreshments, except coffee. On the whole, the experience was fine.
I went to get my scheduled service and Daniel was my customer relations guy. He could not have been nicer or more helpful. I remain extremely satisfied with the Service Department of Grand Prix Subaru and recommend them highly.
My first Subaru was purchased from GrandPrix Subaru 15 years ago. Since then I bought two more, and my wife got her first Subaru from the same dealer. These four purchases were all conducted without any of the typical “sales pitches and pressure”, I and many others have experienced when buying a car from other dealers.I have always found the dealership staff to be courteous, professional and transparent in all of my interactions. The service department has, and continues to be attentive when I have taken any of my family’s cars for service. They detail the reason for the service requested and provide reasonable expectation as to when the work will be completed and what they’ll look at.I have had the pleasure of working with Dan in Service for the last year or so when my car is in for routine service. Dan is calm, detailed oriented, professional and called me when an issue arose. He called me, explaining the service technician’s finding which was something I thought was possible based on my car’s performance before they proceeded to do any work. Dan took the time to review the findings, showed me the changed part when I picked up my car. I drove away gratified that a bigger problem was averted.I believe that Dan and my Technician Bryan Loh give me piece of mind whenever my car has been brought in; from an oil change to an alignment or installing an after market Subaru accessory. Dan and Bryan you have another very satisfied GrandPrix customer.

Very happy from start to finish with my experience at Grand Prix Subaru. I sat down with salesman Joe Iucci and was impressed with the in depth knowledge he had about the car we were looking at. No pressure, no cheap sales tricks, instead very direct and receptive to my needs. The purchasing experience was also on the money. Management, finance and Joe were all very helpful with making the experience stress free. I went there today to lease a vehicle. The front desk notify the sales staff for assistance and I waited for a while but no one came. The staff were just passing by infront of me not even saying hi or assisting with my inquiries. So I left and went to a different dealer even it was farther from home but I was happy because they gave me a good services.

This was my first car buying experience and he made it a lot less daunting than I thought it was going to be. He was honest, patient, and I could tell that he genuinely wanted me to be happy and confident with my purchase.
Called last week when I made the appointment. I was told it would cost $245.00 plus $21.00 a spark plug for a tune up. When I dropped the car off I was given a completely different price. $210.00 an hour with a minimum of two hours and $ 21.00 a spark plug. In the end Mikayla did the right thing and honored the price that I was given over the phone. I am very happy with my Subaru cross trek And would consider buying a new one.

Took car in for safety recall...not from NY state...but i am with the US Army...had an appointment...but felt a little upset when I had to sit and wait...in the car..for over 15 minutes for someone to take care of me...but great customer service by Jessica made the experienceso much better...hence the 4 stars 🌟
I have had my Forester serviced at Grand Prix since 2019, major repairs and minor repairs, you name it. Any time there has been an issue, the staff has been eager to fix the issue and work out a plan.
