Worthless. 2 week reservation that they didnt actually hold, refused to give a discount on miles for a MUCH smaller one since wed have to do more trips. Will be pursuing legal options after the loss of money caused by their lying

I was given the options on my rental to move out of town and decided to get a rental at that locations as well. Aresha provided me option/prices on different trucks. I was overall satisfied clean unit and the truck clean and excellent customer service. The process was smooth.

I had a 26ft truck rented and has a reservation for over 2 months at this location. The DAY that I needed it I called and they told me the reservation was cancelled and that the reservation wasn’t at their location but a location over 40 mins away?No accountability. This will be the last time I use Uhaul.

Beware! Use another uhaul location! After CONFIRMING the night before my pick up time for a uhaul with this location to my ultimate shock- the next morning this location was closed! A sign on the door saying closed due to personnel shortages and referring to another uhaul rental location in Hickory. Of course, the uhaul 1-800 wasn’t aware, the referred to location wasn’t aware and I was told there were no available rentals. ( and there were a parking lot full of trucks at this closed location).I had movers scheduled in 1hr and in a panic. Then Steve at the 311 Hwy 70 location created a miracle and got me a truck! He and his location were AWESOME and saved the day!

Cant hold a reservation, despite being 2 weeks out, no customer service to provide fixes or any kind of discount for screwing us over. Greedy sinful company

Very unprofessional credit card machine was broken, the computer went down guy wrote the contact on the back of a piece of paper. We were there for over an hour trying to get a truck, ended up having to pay cash for the truck rental guy never even walked out there with me to inspect the truck. Never again will I ever use another Uhaul truck for our business. Received a bill today for a $25.00 cleanup fee and $35.00 late fee. This is our second time using Uhaul and both times we have had issues. Beware of the extra charges from Uhaul you get what you pay for. I have included the contract from the Hickory, NC Uhaul.

Tyreek was great at helping me rent a 20 truck for the day. He even stayed calm when the computer system wasnt cooperating and made the process longer than usual. He was very thorough on explaining everything and was even waiting at the door when I dropped the truck off the next day. Would highly recommend using U-Haul Moving & Storage of Downtown Hickory!!!!

I reserved a Uhaul a week ago for 7am today. It’s 7:30 and they still aren’t even open. I was given no notice and am unable to contact them. Huge waste of my time during my moving day.EDIT: The store called me back and after I told them I had gone to another Uhaul location, she hung up on me! I cannot believe it.Uhaul Moving and Storage of West Hickory will get our business from now on. Their customer service was impeccable.

Worst customer service experience. Aresha Mclean is the rudest incompetent person i have ever encountered. She is unprofessional,emotional and cant do her job properly. I rented a uhaul truck and uhaul storage. She claimed she could not find my reservation. After an hour she finally reserved the unit and told me she would be in contact with her cellphone. I never got the call or text. I arrived later that day to find out my unit did not have the companys lock removed. I contacted customer service was on hold for an hour finally got in touch with Benita who contacted Aresha . Aresha said she had a busy day and forgot to remove lock. My family and i were standing outside uhaul for over two houra with a two month old baby, a two year old, a 6 year old and a 15 year old waiting for Aresha to remove the lock that should have been removed hours ago. Aresha never arrived. She sent her mother (Renee) who did not know how to open the unit and took 3 trips to office and calling Aresha. Once Renee got the correct key she then could not open the door due to it being jammed. When the door was finally opened we loaded our things in the unit. I contacted Aresha upon completing the loading and asked what to do with the truck and she said i didnt have to do anything. I was mentally and physically exhausted and decided to deal with it the next day. The next day i called to find out how to again return the truck . Aresha was again rude and stated i needed to return to that location only. When i arrived she was again rude and upset because i had contacted customer service. I finally was able to get my key activated and the truck returned safe and sound. Aresha has made threats and stated she was emotionally unstable and lost custody of her child and is constantly getting into arguments with her customers. Aresha stated she works over 80 hours a week because no employees want to work with her. The unit was clean but the customer service was awful.

Aresha is #1 when it comes to customer service! She is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond to make sure you have a good experience at U-Haul! Moving is stressful enough, yet she eases up some of that stress by making the U-Haul experience smooth, with no problems! She is definitely an asset to your company. Thank Aresha for your continued FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Tyree was the best getting my brother checked in to pick up a 20 truck today! He was so nice and had the greatest sense of humor. He showed my brother a huge level of respect! He helped make the process so much easier.

Aresha is amazing! All staff their work hard and are so polite. A pleasure to have rented two vehicles and a storage unit from them. I am sad to go.

Awesome service! I called and reserved a van. I picked up the a few days later. They had everything ready for me. When I returned the van the service was awesome, quick and simple, just the way it should be. Thank you Uhaul

Tyreek was a very helpful! He was very informational, professional, and also had a great personality that made you smile! If you ever need a u haul rental, I believe this is the best place to go! We also had gotten complimentary water for a hot day of moving! Another young lady there who was also very sweet and welcoming to the place, and did an amazing job as well!

Aresha was both knowledgeable and helpful. She spent extra time helping us determine what we needed and what was most cost effective! I highly recommend Aresha and her uhaul store!

If you ever want to rent a u-haul truck, do not ever do it from this location. They have the worst customer service ever & the so called “manager” Aresha McLean was so rude not only on the phone but in person she was even worse. She has no customer service experience whatsoever. I will never step foot at this location ever again!

Highly recommend! Lakeia made it so quick and simple. She even made sure everything was correct before we drove off with the truck. Definitely recommend coming to this location and seeing her.

I moved one-way to Hickory and wasnt given my free month of storage. I was told by the manager that I would receive my second month free if I paid for the first month, but was charged for the second month anyway. When I tried to call back to clarify, they never answered the phone. After a few days of that I was charged a late fee.One positive thing about doing business with this storage center is that I know to avoid all uhaul locations in the future. Im going to need storage in a few months so narrowing down my options is a helpful service this location provided!

Wow! Its a full service U-Haul with everything you need but what made the 5 stars was Areesha who helped me. It is so rare these days to find someone. (Autocorrect offered sunshine which is very accurate!) who actually offers service. She was super helpful, friendly, doing everything and still managing to give me her full attention. Ill probably use U-Haul for my move entirely because of her!

They have always made renting trailers and such easy. I appreciate them.

The facility and customer service were outstanding. They were incredibly helpful with our storage and U-haul trailer return.

If you have used this U-haul location you need to check your bill and make sure you werent charged a $25.00 cleaning fee. We have used Penske trucks for our business for over 15 years and have never had a cleaning fee. Unbelievable, I would suggest checking your records and make sure this doesnt happen to you. Rent a Penske this doesnt happen with them,

This is a very clean facility. The manager is very friendly and customer driven. Units are clean and each have their own security alarm. They have indoor units as well as tape boxes, anything you could imagine for moving.

This is the best place to rent a U- haul in the greater catawba county area. I have rented from all kinds of places and this was the best experience by far.

Absolutely horrible experience! When I walked in no one was to be found and there was a posted hand written note with a cell number to call if help was needed. It was very unprofessional! The girl working was rude, impatient, condescending, and had a major attitude problem. I tried asking about supplies I may need to move and was met with an eye roll and a loud sigh and then she told me I didnt need their supplies because they are highly over priced and she didnt have time for that. NEVER again!!! I will drive out of my way to a different uhaul establishment rather than use this one in the future!!!

Aresha McLean is managment and always the one there when I go. Ive been 4 times but this is my first review. This is more like a shout out to her and for Uhaul trusting in her to run this place. She is always helpful, courtesy, nice and even on a bad day. This time she was called on her time off to coach her fellow co worker through the steps to save me money and she came through. I dont remember prices at other places but I recommend anyone to come here even if it was to be the highest priced because outstanding quality in a business this big is worth every mile you pay for!

Literally one of the worst experiences with any sort of customer service Ive ever experienced. As someone who works in the customer service industry, our agents would have been fired on the spot for how the Manager and customer agent acted. Already emailed corporate to get this addressed and taken care of immediately.

This uhaul was understaffed during my visit so it took a while to get help. However, they were apologetic and helpful once it was my turn. It was fast and easy!

We had a horrible experience with jason msrt, who we rented our truck from, but the good people and quality facilities at u-haul more than made up for it. It was a little on the expendive side though.

Owner functions as manager and had very bad attitude...With this owner the customer was not always right
