Very nice and helpful with what I needed to do to get my pool water stabilized.
Just left PP&S asked if they had any chlorine tablets and the fellow behind the counter was busy on his phone. Pretty much ignored. Then received the “Covid Excuse” plain and simple Covid has a soy nothing to do with Piss Poor Customer Service.
I’m not sure how the pool company is but the owners are also land lords, and they are horrible, have to Constantly remind them of issues like leaks and bugs I n the house and then when they do send people over they never call you we have a six-month-old and we were just woke up at 8:10 this morning by beating on the roof and had no idea they were coming. If their pool company is anything like their rentals good luck on having a descent place to stay for over 800 a month I would hate to see there pool company Professionalism
Very happy with this pool company. Very easy to work with and have been super responsive to my questions. Highly recommend.
Terrible...I called over two months ago to have someone come out and open my pool, then again a few weeksafterthat...Ive not yet seen or heard from anyone yet.
The staff is genuinely informative, courteous, and helpful. Its great to do business with folks that really care about their customers, you cant go wrong at this store!!
Best place for all your pool and spa needs!
Never have had an issue in the past five years. I purchased a home with a pool that was in need of a new liner. They came out measured and placed a new liner and showed me how to operate the pumps and how to maintain my new pool. I always get great service when i have to go by to get my water checked or purchase chemicals.
The house we bought was a Fix and Flip so we did not know the previous owners or what brand of above ground pool we had so Bud, the owner, came out to our house in a broken down Astro van (that should not even have been licensed to drive on public roads) to look and make sure that the correct liner was ordered. He also did not know what brand of pool it was and didnt bother to look at the liner bead he just said the liner he sells was going to be $569 and a ensured me it would fit. I picked up the liner and when i tried to install it the bead would not go all the way into the rail. ( see pictures) The owner also came out with his installer and when the installer tried to hang it, it kept falling down. I showed him the pictures online of the different liner styles and asked if he could order the correct one and he instantly got ANGRY and said if you know so much about pools why did you call me? and that he was not going to order another liner but that I could return it and that he would resell it.At first I thought okay well at least theyre making things right but when I gave them the credit card for the return I was VERY surprised to learn that they were going to charge me $100 to ship it back to the manufacturer and 15% restocking fee. No where on any of the receipts was this information stated.Bud has been by far the most unpleasant business person we have met since we moved to the area and I definitely recommend shopping around and reading other business reviews and avoid this place at all cost!! My wife read other pool companies reviews and we went to Sunshine Pools. Tim, the store manager was extremely helpful; there were several people working in the store and its always very busy when I drive by it which turned out to be a sign that they have great customer service. I should have gone there first.
Very helpful staff! They took the time to talk about my options as a first time hot tub owner
Pool guys that either come regularly for an entire year and randomly decide not to come back when we first moved down here.Tried to get a pool contractor to replace my ladder and rail, gives me a quote, sets up a day to come over, reschedules twice, never heard from them again. Take your business elsewhere if you need a pool guy. Never been to the store, just spoke to many contractors for pleasure pools.
Helpful and kind staff. Provided what I needed as well as information for using.
Had 3 stooges at my home from another co. Putting in a liner! They did not have 3 parts on the truck, I had to call 4 pool places and this store carried what I needed, plus they were all sooooo kind! The company had left my home (3 stooges) and said these piece could only be ordered because my pool is 20 years old. Ha haDo not ever use Ronnie from any pool company! It took 3 1/2 weeks to get him to my homeI found what I needed at this pool store and they came back. Water is now filling up so THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Wish you all were closer to me.
Not one employee was wearing a mask to protect their customers!
Awesome people very nice and helpful!!
We apologize for any misunderstanding that Mr. Teeter may have had. As a small business, we pride ourselves on the customer satisfaction that’s maintained and grown our business for over 35 years. It is disappointing to read this Google review and I am compelled to provide our version of this business transaction. Our vehicles should not be at issue, but for the sake of a reply, the van is a construction vehicle. Our intent is to drive our vehicles as long as possible. We pay no interest on auto loans which mitigates financial risk, minimizes overhead cost and provides our customer’s competitive products and services. I think most of our customers judge us by quality, service and cost as opposed to a vehicle.Bud owned and operated Pleasure Pools & Spas for over 35 years prior to his son assuming the ownership role. Bud, at 73 years old, has over 40 years of experience in the industry and still remains active in the business working in excess of 50 hours a week during pool season. Mr. Teeter’s request was for a material and installation estimate which Bud provided. After ordering the liner, Mr. Teeter chose to cancel his work order stating he was going to install the liner himself from internet instructions. He insisted that our cost was too much for a project he could do himself. After attempting, unsuccessfully, to install the liner himself, Mr. Teeter called Bud to tell him the liner was ordered incorrectly. Please note that the liner purchased was a “J” hook liner from PoolCorp which is universal for someone educated in their craft.Regardless of Mr. Teeter cancelling the installation portion of his liner estimate, Bud insisted on making a 2nd trip in excess of 40 miles round trip to assist Mr. Teeter. After we installed about 5 feet, Mr. Teeter insisted the liner would not work referring to internet pictures. Ordering a new liner for a customer that doesn’t trust the judgment of a 40 year veteran of the swimming pool industry would likely only compound the financial losses that we had already incurred. I feel certain Bud was offended after trying to be helpful and only receiving criticism. I imagine most of us including Mr. Teeter would have been as well.Allowing the installation cancellation, driving to the customer site to provide installation recommendations and proving that the liner would fit speaks volumes about how our company is always willing to help. We put the other numerous customer requests on hold to try to help Mr. Teeter and only received criticism regarding the liner fit, install process, etc. Mr. Teeter never gave us a chance to help with the install but rather just observed and told us we were not doing it correctly. As for the costs to return a non-stock item, our policy is clearly stated above the store counter. Our receipts are generic much like many small businesses keeping our costs low. We do not determine the cost of freight to return a liner. In fact, we underestimated that freight cost and lost $20 in addition to the time, labor and fuel.Mr. Teeter and I unquestionably disagree on the course of events, but I hope he has found someone to meet his needs. The Hickory area is fortunate to have many knowledgeable and helpful swimming pool dealers including Tim at Sunshine. All of us genuinely care about our customers and do our best to satisfy everyone sometimes even at the risk of losing money. Small business is as difficult as it is rewarding. At Pleasure Pools & Spas we are exceedingly thankful to have been rewarded with thousands of satisfied customers over the past 40 years.
Good place to go
Hard to get ahold of the pool guys. They say they are coming out and they never show. Tried several times to get ahold of them to no avail.
