Good finds. Bought a full size headboard and metal bistro table for less than 100 in really good condition.
Advice for any young person who is moving out and needs furniture. Buy from here. It is affordable, good quality and always unique. You can get nice stuff here without handing over your entire paycheck for a couch.
Very nice people. I have them five stars because the store was clean and the staff was friendly.
This is one if my favorite Restores. Great selection, friendly people.
I always question why I go in here. I love the books and that is always what draws me back to give it one more chance. I love the prices on cookbooks and usually find several to add to my collection. But then when I go through the rest of the store, I get mad that I came in. While it is well organized, clean and brightly lit, the prices are very high. A new Cuisinart deep fryer for $50, pictures for $60 and dishes for $5 each seems a little over the top. While I will go back occasionally to check out the books and support a worthy cause, I wont shop the rest of the store because its just too expensive. Maybe they need to rethink some of the pricing structure and move more inventory through their doors.
They are very helpful they go out of there way to makeyou feel like family . I love you guys
Staff is always friendly and helpful. Because of the managers connection with the furniture world he is able to get donations from companies. The companies rightfully expect them to sell the brand new unused furniture for a higher price than the used donations. It is still under retail price if you were even buying it in an outlet. And remember all the money goes to build affordable houses for people who might not be able to realize that dream. It’s a fundraising company.
Things are over priced, you can go next door to Home Depot and find better prices. Also trying to donate here is unpleasant and a nightmare. 🤷♀️ Will not be coming back. The Habitat for Humanity in Caldwell county is run much better and the employees are always very kind.
We found a very nice table. Always fun to go looking because the inventory is constantly changing.
Prices are somewhat higher. But have gotten some beautiful things.
I I tried on three attempts to have you pick up a donation and even after answering voicemails and text messages nobody ever got back to me so the donations that we were making went to the dumpster
Pretty much a waste of time unless A) Youre looking to buy used (and in some cases), damaged furniture, or B) Just looking for a place to donate a lot of money to Habitat for Humanity without much product in return. More old furniture than anything else in the store. Sadly disappointed.
Love to shop there because you never know what you will find there.
I love the mission of Habitat. And I love they continue to support as local as possible.
Love this place not only giving to a good cause but usually find something that I can put to use unique and enjoyable at a fair price and sometimes its even things I need I will shop here prior to going to Home Depot just to see if what I need is available. Management and staff always kind and courteous good place to check out prior to DIY projects
Overall I like what these stores are about. But this location is the most expensive of all Ive ever gone too. Ive gone to the Morganton location and it is beautiful and staged as well. All of the items are category based. They are there to sell and rotate. The staff is anything but rude. Hickory should go observe. North Raleigh is a massive store and manages to keep it organized and sectioned as well. And they arent overly priced either. I wont buy here again.
I love what Habitat for Humanity does for communities all over. But sometimes I think that they & other thrift stores forget that the things they sell are donated items. Although they say they sale their items for a fraction of the retail costs, thats not always true. They forget that most people go to thrift stores so they can furnish their homes w/out being over charged in a regular store & because some of cant afford to buy a $500 couch or dresser. Just because we cant afford high end items doesnt mean we cant have high end items. Thats why alot of us thrift. But alot of these stores charge $500 for a used nice dresser that they received for free so they can help the community, not try to charge retail prices. Thats not right what yall doing. Sorry for my rant yall. May God continue to Bless and Protect Us All! 💪🙏👣💜
Boy, has it changed over the past few months. Items are priced as if they are an antique store or Belk. Found a small used motor for $10 MORE than a new one at Lowes. Obviously, we didnt buy it. I know the store sales benefit people in need but when we ARE people in need looking for used items to fix what little we have, the prices they are charging sure doesnt help us at all.
Had a good book selection but not really anything I needed at the time.
I cant understand what this one wants to be... Upscale furniture or a thrift shop their hours are not that good for working people
Has alot of high end furniture ... Reasonably priced. Can be a little expensive but its one of the better restores around
They forgot my mirror... Then the furniture started falling apart before I could get it all the way in my house... The people there were wonderful thou
They have some great finds and prices are reasonable. Ive managed to find a few diamond in the rough items.
Awesome staff is always and will always bring my business here.
I thought it was just like thrift store wasnt what i expected.
Ever-changing variety of items with a focus on furniture which makes sense, being in Hickory.
A frequent visitor to this store. I have found many great items for my home. If you care to look up the original pricing for most of the new or newer furniture, you will find you are getting a fair price indeed! I love a good treasure hunt. Everyone in the store (most of whom are volunteers I believe) has alway been very polite, friendly, and helpful.
Love this store!
Clean store with friendly staff, some things are priced a bit high for a thrift type store though.
It was ok prices were a bit high but I guess it is what it is
Great place to shop for deals. Found a new leather chair and 10% off! Have to check periodically to get those deals.
Visiting the ReStore is always a treasure hunt. The store, under new management is evolving into an interesting gallery in the front portion. At times a bit pricey but unusual items abound. The back portion has a plethora of raw materials to be used for all types of creative projects... your imagination being the limit. They also offer at times a make and take for youth as well as classes on a number of subjects. Definitely worth while to check it out.09-10-2019They have moved to a new location on hwy 70 adjacent to the uhaul rental. Their space has increased, more furniture and other items have been added. Check them out because you never know when you might find an amazing treasure.
I love it
I have to say as a thrifter I visit stores all over the country when I travel and I live in this area and the store is super high. Well organized, especially the book section which I appreciate. Even books are way pricier even compared to other local Goodwill shops or non profit thrifts.
Lots of furniture here. Clean and well staffed.
Love looking for teasures.
A very nice store!
So Im probably not going to gain any popularity with this review however I am going to give my honest opinion. People go to this place to try to find a bargain however they are greatly being deceived. An organization that is supposed to be dedicated to helping out members of the community should not Jack prices up on second hand furniture and items to the point that they can no longer be considered a good deal. Over the years I have bought many items from Habitat Stores, however it is a parent more than ever that they have become a for-profit organization. I am unsure whos pockets the money is lining but theres no doubt in my mind that this once great organization has turned out to be like so many others and I have lost their vision when it comes to the reality of why they were created in the first place. I sincerely hope that the company reassesses its principles and dedicates itself to accomplishing the tasks that it set out to do in the first place.
Always find something great!
I have been shopping at this particular restore for several years and I never fail to find a great deal whenever I go in. The employees and volunteers do a beautiful job of keeping the store looking clean and organized, and are generally very kind and helpful. Sadly my past couple trips to this restore have left me shaking my head in amazement at how rude the lady with short grey hair has been to not only myself but other customers as well, on top of her blatantly ignoring me and others. Everybody else that I have encountered there has been nothing but polite and professional. Unfortunately I will not be returning any time soon due to the rudeness and disrespect I have encountered from this employee.
I love this place and seeing what great things they have, but their prices are way too high and a lot of things. You are catering to people who do not earn a great amount of money and therefore shop in stores such as Habit for furniture, clothes, and things within their means. So, I do not understand their reasoning for the high prices on donated second hand items.
More like the goodwill of furniture.
I do love the restores but dang some of those prices are almost showroom prices I thought the idea was to be affordable?
Best restore weve been in. Clean & well organized
Interesting find in here sometimes
Best ReStore on Earth! I dont think Ive ever left this one without some sort of treasure in hand. Staff is very friendly, and selection of items is phenomenal!! I live two hours away but make a point to stop here every time I pass through.
Over priced on a lot of stuff not a large selection
I usually spend a dozen or so hours week going from place to place in search pots of items for families in need. Furniture is a requested item no matter where the person is in that stage. Every single time i go into this restore, i walk out very angry. I do not care who you are, if it is a donated item, you do not charge retail for it. The items are given to you to sell, in your case, for those on need. I know for a fact that this money is going into the pocket of a few management members as there has been recordings of two higher level up management was heard talking about it.And you can best bet that i will not step foot in this store again, but if god willing i have to, youd best bet if i hear one more mouthy management belittle ANY employee again, you will be in a lot of hot water.
Enjoy shopping here. Usually a good selection of items. Know this is a for charity store but still some prices are somewhat steep. Thats why not 5 stars.
Over priced. I know theyre trying to help others but theyre more expensive than Amazon and Walmart. I asked the lady about some vases, if the price was for all three of them. She said no, 39.99 per vase. I made the comment that I could get them at a much lower price from Amazon she said. Well then get it from Amazon and walked off
Pretty regular turnover of inventory here. Combination of like new, used and well used furniture and such.
Something you might need they might have it cheap
Place is way to high to he selling donated items. They do have alot of furniture to pick from and antiques as well. They have an awesome selection of books to.
Everytime I go in this place I get upset. Its a thrift store but I believe those who price think its a high end department store. You can find good furniture but I wont shop unless they are having a half off sale.... at least then its priced appropriately.
They have nice furniture and a big selection of books. Some things are way overpriced in my opinion. Ive been able to find a few things I really liked here. Its been a hit or miss for me. I can go in and find a few things one visit then walk out empty handed the next.
This Habitat is way overpriced. They get really good furniture, but be prepaired to pay handsom for it.
Prices were a little high.DVDs $3 really
Nice furniture, big furniture. Youd need huge house to use most of the furniture. Good selection.many other things also.
Great place with a huge selection. You never know what you might find here. If youre looking for second hand furniture this place has a bunch.
Neat, clean store. They always seem to have what Im looking for
Sometimes some real good stuff. But waaay over priced for used items. And especially if you shop as much as I do, and know the price of things purchase new cost for the same item.
Great prices and customer service
This place was way over priced for their USED furniture!!!!!
The folks who work there are so nice and the place is cleaner than most ReStores.
Some really neat items, but pricing is crazy... Sometimes equal to or when higher than new retail for damaged or used goods. I know sales are for a good cause, but they really need to examine market value of items.
Clean but very strick hours
Very nice place for new & used household items plus others.
Always a treasure hunt! I never walk away empty hsnded.
Good place to find new and used items at a very low price at the while supporting a worthy cause.
Had a good time looking at items. Saved lots.
I thought this place would be a good place to look for a little treasure but I sure didnt expect to pay an arm.leg.and foot for something. They were high for things that was just not worth it. There was something that was priced good but still they are high sorry to say.
Great manager Terry great prices great products they deserve to 5.5
Just ok. Prices are too high.
Good selectionGreat prices
Found what I was looking for not too pricey. Had good bargains if your budget is limited
It a good good place to find thing.
Great prices, great selections. Love the staff!!
I thought they sold discount stuff... Most of what I saw was over priced junk. You can tell the people that price the stuff dont really have knowledge of what theyre pricing.
Great place to find unique items. Many items are way overpriced for their age and conditions.
Had a lot of things. Does not have delivering service though.
Clean store, helpful staff! Enjoy weekly specials and periodic sales!
Wide very of inexpensive house products. Just what you expect.
Clean. Good furniture selection. Have found some real treasures here. The only issues have been the occasional staffer/ volunteer asking my religious beliefs and being preachy.
Wife bought enough fabric for 4 chair bottoms for $1.50 - really just $1.50.GREAT BUYS!!!
Never know what youll find. Good prices and the people are friendly.
Super pricey for a thrift store and dont plan on returning. I know its for a cause but seriously would sell more if it wasnt so high. For the furniture you can go to places like bargain for less or online shops.
Love these stores everywhere Ive lived, except here. Too high, not that great items either.
Small but clean and well-organized. Prices on furniture are very high.
Great stuff, great prices, great organization. Keep an eye out for their 50% off days!
A good place to go shopping
Cool store, they have a big variety of stuff furniture, hardware, etc. Every so often they have sales and stuff is from 20 to 50% off.
Staff is friendly place is clean and so much to buy from furniture to floor tiles all for a great cause and always need volunteers
Priced a little high for some of the pieces of used furniture. Well organized though.
Everything is to expensive, I .repo see to the message I got, I understand that you help habitat for humanitywith the money from people who buy from that store but when you are a evacuating who has lost everything from a hurricane and youre looking to replace everything that you have lost and you cannot even begin to afford what yall price it as and you are told to go to habitat for humanity because they have good stuff at decent prices when it is a lie its devastating four people to go in there thinking that they can replace what theyve los and find out that they cant
Lots of interesting goods at astoundingly cheap prices!
Not as good as Lenoir. As in small idems anyway
Found a great team set I didnt know I needed!
The staff was friendly and helpful. Alot of nice things.
