Love this cute blast from the past type grocery. Wonderful little deals to be found. Always worth not having to fight the crowds, and cant beat the friendly employees.

The staff at the store are super friendly, it has a down to earth feel. This store reminds me of the stores I would go to with my grandmother when I was a kid. Thier prices are not bad either. The meat select is good.

They had some really good cuts of pork but all in all the prices that they had for the stuff that they have is extremely high with Walmart being down the street its amazing that theyre still in competition with them

Everyone is really friendly. They have great deals sometimes. Wish the store could be renovated though because sometimes it smells musty and moldy and it sends me into a sneezing fit.

Its a dirty dump they sell old rotten fruits and vegetables, I dont think this place has been cleaned in 30 years. I dont know how it even open .

Clean and easy to get around

Store has been in Hewitt for as long as I can remember. Hope it stays....takes me back to times I shopped there with my Mom as a kid.

Higher prices, not as large of a selection. No deli meat counter. Good place to go if you just need a few things.

No, it’s not as clean or as well-stocked as H-E-B or Walmart, but the staff are always friendly and helpful. They have great “managers special“ sales once or twice a month that last one or two days usually. I don’t do my major grocery shopping here, but if I only need a few things it is much easier and quicker to get in and out and the checkout lines are rarely long.

I try to shop here as often as I can. Its not always as cheap as bigger stores, but its super close and convenient. They have a great selection and I can always find what I need here.

Old school grocery shopping at its finest. We need more folks to shop here. They have everything you need with a small town customer service feel. They even play those oldies we all know and LOVE! Just noticed too, now they carry organic eggs!!

Their meat department is awesome with a huge variety of prime cuts at VERY reasonable prices. This small supermarket is a hidden gem. Super clean & friendly service!

Excellent meat department with in store butcher (meat quality/selection is much better than other local big box competitors). Employees are friendly and helpful. I would encourage anyone to stop in and support this wonderful local business.Open daily 7am-10pm

Great place to stop if youre looking for just a couple of items. Employees are very nice and helpful. Prices are a little high, but its worth it to not have to fight the crowds at the other stores.

Right around the corner from my house thats a plus its your hometown grocery store has the mom and Pop feeling theyre have real good prices on their meat only place I buy my meat they have an in-house butcher gourmet breads for a dollar $3-$4 at other stores always have little Debbie snack caked for a dollar & you just cant beat the monthly manager specials

Small hometown grocery store, they dont have everything, but still i like to go here to avoid the insanity at the other big stores. Clean, well lit store with friendly staff. This place also has a nostalgic look from the past.

Outstanding produce department. Nice selection of meats and a butcher on staff. Keep in mind this is an IGA and does NOT have a bakery or Deli. It is not a full-service supermarket. It is a basic Supermarket serving a rural area. If you want the bells and whistles you will have to travel into Waco.

I like the store and they have good deals. That being said I hope no one else needs to use the restroom as there is not one for customers. So you either check out with What you have or leave it and head out.

We love the convenience of this place. If you live in the Hewitt or Lorena area, this is a great place to grab those emergency grocery items! The selection is pretty good for a smaller supermarket and the prices are always reasonable. I would certainly recommend it!

I absolutely love this place! Its been there since the early 70s. They have amazing products that you cannot get at H-E-B. And the nostalgia is very real!

My husband and I like to go shopping at IGA on Saturdays when they had their manager special. We love to shop at IGA. The people are friendly and nice. If you dont know where something is at, all you have to do if ask somebody.

The staff is always friendly.

Their entire freezer where the Frozen potatoes should be was completely thawed. No one seemed to care. And they were still selling everything thawed

They have some great sales here. But only if youre lucky enough to be a member.unfortunatly supplies dont last long.

Its okay they have some stuff I mean its still cheaper to go to Walmart and only a minute away but if youre feeling lazy and just want to run in. Seems like the produce is always kind of all maybe old or spotted or bruises all on everything. Sometimes they have good sales on bacon but its not the best quality. most of the prices are a little bit higher than what you pay at Walmart sometimes quite a bit

While the place wears its age on its sleave, its been kept in good shape and clean. Add a friendly staff, and easy to find selection of goods and you have fine place to get in and out without the stress of some larger grocery stores.

Clean and very organized. Prices are shockingly low.

The entire store needs a good cleaning from top to bottom ~ many times the freezers on the mend and the meat cases smell. The employees tend to be little interested in helping you and more interested in talking among themselves ~ and the bagger there makes me feel uneasy as he talks about the other employees in a negative manner when carrying out my groceries. I ONLY go when I need to get and in and out quickly and I NEVER buy meat or frozen!

This Super has an cool old-school feel to it, and I feel like it would be a great location to film a zombie or slasher film (lol). Now after that digression, this store is in a convenient location to those residents that do not feel like traveling far from home to somewhere like HEB or Walmart where you have to walk a mile to grab milk and then wait in line for 30 minutes.You do pay slightly more for the convenience and because it is a small business, but I think the price increases are negligible. They usually have exactly what I need, even if it is a substitute. The staff is friendly and there is always great parking.I would recommend this store to anyone that needs to grab something quickly or that does not want to tackle the stress involved in shopping at big box stores.They also updated their card readers recently, which to some may mean nothing, but I do enjoy the new card readers.

I came in wearing a mask thinking since store is small I would have more protection. I was trying to protect others. I spent $60 . When I checked out, I mentioned being surprised when she was not wearing a mask. Her reply was its not required. I WILL NOT BE BACK.

Very impressive produce and meat! Not a huge selection but the best Ive found in the area. Everything else is a little pricey, but not as high as some stores charge. Go check them out!!!

Meat is good. Very rude employees and the female older manager is extremely rude to the customers. Store is very dirty and items are incorrectly priced and the customer is forced to pay anyways. If they werent convenient, theyde be out of business. Ive havent met anyone that says they are nice there.

I usually find what I need whenever I shop here. I wish they had a deli and other features you find in other grocery stores. Its kinda stuck in the 80s but I think its purposely kept that way for a nostalgic feel.
