Awesome shop. The new owner is super personable and knowledgeable. I needed a specific tool to repair my pistol and I couldnt get it in a reasonable amount of time. I stopped by and they let me use it right away, no questions asked.
I was new to shooting when I arrived at Nova the first time. The guys are extremely helpful and never come across as patronizing or dismissive. Ive now bought three handguns in addition to accessories and ammo. Ive also recommended them to friends who have been very pleased with the experience.Whether youre new to guns, or a seasoned pro, Nova is a great store.
Its not on the ground level anymore, you have to go around back and go downstairs to their new location in the basement. Its a smaller area, but just as cozy, nice, and welcoming. These guys are great here, put no pressure on you at all, and they know their stuff.
Transferred a Gun here, Went to pick it up and they had a great friendly staff! Did not push me to buy anything. When i asked about Optics they let me see how a few looked on my rifle. Found one i liked and they knocked a few $$ off the price so i bought it on the spot. Will go back again for any of my local gun needs, great place!
Awesome guys at Nova Armament. Thank you for your help today. So knowledgeable & helpful. You made me feel comfortable, even though I was a little nervous handling the guns, at first. Your calm demeanors helped me remember my confidence at handling guns. As a survivor of a serious crime, I needed that. Thank you.
Terrible brokers and atmosphere. First time I went in one of the workers at the store dropped my gun that had been just recently customized. Second time I walked in the broker at the store bought my gun for $180.00 when I bought the same gun from him that same hour for $400. Do not sell your gun/s here. Do not even put them on consignment because they raise its price for profit.
Great shop with a great atmosphere. The employees there are very friendly and knowledgeable and they have a pretty decent selection for the size of the shop. The firearms inventory is mainly pistols but there are some MSRs and the occasional shotgun (at least from my three visits) there that will pique your interest.
Consigned an old firearm here. Smooth business transaction and staff was helpful. I recommend Nova arms, especially since I like to patron local businesses first.
Very nice and clean place. Not the typical gun store. Very comfortable for women patrons. But their prices on some stuff are outrageous. Virginia Arms in Manassas has a larger selection, lower prices and more genuine and honest sales reps. Not going back to Nova Armanent ever again unless I want to get ripped off on paying too much for guns.
Michael Great guy very helpful knowledgeable courteous gave him gift certificate to show appreciation :)
Great shop, staff is very helpful and took the time to let my wife pick a great gun at a great price. No pressure or rushing thru. A++
The co-owner is a jerk. Ive been in there a couple times now to check out their second hand gun rack and last time he went nuts on my friend for (supposedly) accidentally pointing one of the guns in an unsafe direction. Of course gun safety matters, but getting loud and beating your chest is the wrong way to handle it. He was probably trying to show off to his underlings, or emphasize safety to them or something. It was weird, we just said ok, and said sorry and left.In my humble opinion you should go to Sterling Arsenal or Loudoun Guns. Unless you like unstable people.
I was looking for a Walther PPK .380. They had one used that was perfect. I showed them my drivers license and found out I needed an extra form of ID (my bad). The sales guy was a space case and did his best to discourage me from buying the Walther because it was hard to find a holster to fit it. All you have to do is look on Amazon and there is a whole plethera of PPK holsters.I made the return trip the following day with 2 forms of ID. A new sales guy who was extremely young and cocky greeted me with Hey dude Im in my 50s and dont appreciate some young punk calling me different names. I started to fill out paper work and he says Cant make this work - your drivers license needs to be more than 30 days old. It would have been nice if the idiot who looked at my drivers license the day before and told me that. I told them to sell it to someone else and left. Very annoying. The owner or so it seems is an Asian guy who know his stuff and is professional. However he didnt intervene or offer alternatives as I left. Dont go to this place. I called Clarke Brothers in Warrenton who had what I was looking for and agreed to hold it for me until I could get there. They have been in business for over 50 years and are a pleasure to deal with. Its worth the drive.
Very nice local gun store. Have bought 3 handguns from them, and also had them FFL a few shipped from elsewhere. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, not pushy at all, and always happy to help out, whether service, parts, advice, or just helping you make the best decisions for your purchases and arsenal. Prices are fair - not lowball but not inflated either, just the prevailing market-rate, and theyre willing to wheel and deal a little. One thing I really like about them is the service you get for products you buy from them. Ive made numerous modifications to two of the Glocks I bought there, and theyve been great about doing these mods at very low cost. Also, they have a Glock armorer on staff whos there for full business hours every day. Overall, this is a great store to have in the area and I encourage folks to check them out - we should support good local businesses like this one.
Great hometown store, personal service, knowledgeable staff, good prices...
I never owned a shotgun or rifle but I do carryAfter the dems ramrodded obamacare through with blatant disregard to the desires of the majority, i knew i needed something more...I was surprised to find NOVA in Herndon on google, has no idea they were thereIts a small place under a dog parlor : )But at that time (before gunpocalypse) they had a huge selection of great new and used stuffI got my first AR there, a spikes tactical, that performed flawlessly, then got another, then my sister got one, then two, then three, then four, then my mom got one. Then I got a mossberg blackwater 12 gaugeThen gunpocalypse happened, and I wanted a scar 17 and they had em, but they sold out before I got there so I one of the last ones from another place and paid 600 more for it.I have never had a bad experience thereThey have always been friendly and dont have the typical gunshop TUDEI paid fair prices for all my guns there and never felt ripped offTheir mag prices were in line with fair pricesSo I would disregard any negative reviews on this store, the big problem right bow would be lack of stock
