I was disappointed and appalled when I observed the way employees were treated here, no appreciation or reward for loyalty, dedication, and hard work. One Employee has been there for nearly 30 yrs and is still only getting entry level pay, a mere $20.00 per hour. Thats what a temp to hire makes here after 90 days! This person can run every piece of machinery they have, theres nothing that this person cant do in this warehouse. And yet another employee thats worked there for only 5 years is making more and doing less. One is Caucasian the other Hispanic,See where Im going here...๐ค๐ก
I cannot begin to say how pleased we are with our Marlette home! Even some of the state and county inspectors that came to our home commented on what a nice home it was! We are so pleased with the workmanship and the service that we have received and the finish work was beyond amazing! Thank you Marlette for a quality home we will enjoy for years to come! Keep up the good work!
Worst home liers dont bother to fix things right. Floor creeks pops. Roof has nail holes, told its only cosmetic. Insulation hanging down oh its fixed. Holes in plastic Barrier skidding put on wrong. Oh no were told its all fine floor separate. Terrible homes
This is about the home itself. We are four years into a new Marlette home. It is very poorly made. Things are constantly breaking. Towel racks come out of the walls. The center in the ceiling where it was connected is cracking. The counter surface in the kitchen canโt take heat and is warping near the dishwasher. The carpets became very loose and we had to pay someone to fix it. The lock on the sliding door broke. I would never recommend this home to anyone. We are unfortunately stuck with it. We are older and very gentle on the home. I hate to think of what it would look like if we had kids.
It a good job and fun
Very poor workmanship and very poor service from this manufacturer. I had a single wide installed on my property in 2007. The roof was leaking and I called the store where I purchased the house. Ideal Homes sent out their repair crew and told me gutters would help fix this issue. Nonsense, if gutters would fix this problem, why were they not installed in the first place? It would also void the warranty if I added anything to the house. I patched a couple things and it seemed to work. However, I didnt know water was still getting into the walls. Now I find out that theres dry rot behind the top panels. Store has no record of their crew coming out to look at the roof. Service manager at Marlette (Jennifer) does not return messages.
Would not go back safety nightmare
Been employed there for 15 years
My Review is to:Peter Berkey. You did these particular ones to yourself. You said you bought your house in 2007. That is over 12 years ago obviously. There will be issues. I can imagine Peter that you bought a Manufactured Home pretty much Standard as it would come right off the assembly line, without exploring much if any of the warrenties or upgrades involved. Not doing so is on you Peter. Those two things are there for a reason and you chose to not to take full advantage of making those decisions.Peter, you chose the problems instead and by cutting the corners therefore not protecting yourself. Those type of mistakes Never payoff in any length of time.Gutters are also optional for all Home buyers no matter the type of construction. All because not everyone wants them.Peter you passed on gutters when you decided on your home.
As Marlette Home buyers ourselves. My wife and I of course have our own valid frustrations.3 Stars is being kind in this manner. Nothing to do with what weve heard or read. Solely based on our own experiences through the entire process. The Contractor and Independent Retail Suppliers they gave us the option of working with were each awful people, where we live. The fact too that we couldnt pick our own people. This part deserves 0 Stars.Willing to work with us the best they could is worth 1 to maybe 2 Stars. The remainder and the 3rd Star is because we can still turn our Marlette Home into what we want it to be.However, my wife and I are both very intelligent people and far smarter than those who Marlette works with. So we kept ourselves in the control seat of the whole process and each of them did as we told them too. My long construction background of experience helped with that immensely. We even know individuals who used to work inside the Marlette Manufacturing Plant. Plus, those individuals know others who still do work there.Anyways, all Home buyers still do run across issues. Whether it be a (stick built) General construction home, Manufactured Home, Mobile Home, Tiny Home all the way to even Travel Trailers and RVs. Each one of these methods of construction has all their very own Rules and Regulations and none of which are the same.Everyone will have problems with each and every single thing that is built. Houses are all going to have its numbers of problems over a period of time, many of which are Facts of Nature. Rain being one of those factors. Others are a lack of Nuturing your home and taking adequate care of it. Just like any Home you should. My wife and I on the other hand, took on the upgrades and warrenties to protect us in our future and to give us the Peace of Mind we needed.Peace of Mind does cost extra, but it is worth paying for to us.Our particular house is Fully Independent and it runs its self when were not even there and even when we are at home. We obviously have Ultimate Full Control at all times. But our homes does what we tell it too. Call it a Fully Automated Smart Home with Solar Power too. We reep the full rewards of putting that value back into our home.I suggest those who are thinking the same way to build your own Smart Home.My wife and I made the smart choice to add gutters independently and we chose the perfect company to do that for us. Depending on where you live, going without gutters can be a devestating consequence to make.
