I love my local Safeway and I dont mind the higher prices. The staff knows us and are super friendly. The store is clean and the veggies are fresh.

Safeway may give the impression of being a higher price grocery store, but my recent trips there show that its not true. Just do your due diligence and download their app. Watch their weekly sales and clip their digital coupons. I have gone in there and literally cut my bill in half by 40 to 50% off the original bill just by clipping the coupons . Their quality is always excellent. If you shop correctly, you can save a whole lot money than going to a super Walmart. I. I am a fan.

Absolutely love the produce and meat departments. Just wish it was a bigger store! Then they could have even more variety and check out stands. Not enough check out stands.

I shopped the Hermiston Safeway Deli this week on Sunday and Tuesday which I normally love doing!! But I was completely shocked and appauled by a employee in the deli..This middle age brown haired rude woman was rude to other employees raising her voice and using aggressive language. Then I was there when high school students were lined up and there she was again yelling and completely rude to the high school students in line. SHE NEEDS A NEW ATTITUDE OR A DIFFERENT JOB.. Next time I will find a floor manager and take a little video of her rage like antics.

We are new here and ran into an issue on a Sunday at the Safeway pharmacy in Pendleton so we called Karl in the Hermiston Safeway store pharmacy what a awesome guy life saver he was so on top of it and such a caring human we need more people like him THANK YOU KARL WE ARE TRANSFERRING ALL OUR PRESCRIPTIONS THERE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PHARMACY Again thank you so so much

Shop elseware! .It has completely gone down hill and very apparently poorly managed now..Its always understaffed and mis-management consistantly in many departments...and it shows .They refuse to fill empty cashier stands, (even temporarily) while there is lines leading to the back of the store everyday.. and frusterated customers always irritable and bickering at staff and each other..Lack of the normal cleanliness is apparent too.Theres now flies all around the deli counter and in the kitchen...This place is becoming greasy-spoon quality of grocery stores. Dirty, messy a dump .

As usual. Quality products. Slightly higher than Walmart, but way less hassle and stress, and asking....where did Tey move it to?

My husband and I went in for our Covid vaccine, the pharmacist was excellent at administering the shot didnt even hurt at all!

Clean store!! The employees sanitize the carts, so you dont have to, but you can sanitize them as well...they provide the solution (never runs out). Great deals on soda and meats weekly!! Love their gorgeous flowers and they are always fresh and taken good care of. The cashiers are friendly and efficient. If theres a sale going on and you dont know about it...they hook you up!!

Its better than the other option on town. Usually have good service and friendly help. Have what I need and usually in stock.

Wide variety of items from flowers to pharmaceuticals. Friendly staff that will stop what they are doing to help you. Wide lanes without dozens of in aisle displays. I was well pleased by the great hot foods section but they would not let me roll out my sleeping bag..so sad.

Best place on town to get your groceries especially the meat department and the dely. They almost always have a good sale going on.

Was in Hermiston Safeway and although I absolutely love dogs, I saw a pretty unkept looking dog riding in a grocery cart. I saw no Service dog markings on the dog. I asked an employee why they allow dogs in the same grocery carts that we put our groceries in and I was told that person too asked their management who told them that they wiped down the carts after everybody uses them. I know this not to be true because I usually return my cart to the cart area and before I walk out the door I generally see the next person grab my cart. Im all for allowing service dogs in businesses but I dont think they should be riding in grocery carts.

This quiet little lake and resort area is great for a kayak, canoe, or small fishing boat. Lots of big rainbows frequently come home for dinner. When I went with my dad on a Friday morning we had the whole lake to ourselves with only the birds for company, and theres an abundance of wildlife there to entertain you between bites. And this little jewel of a lake is only a short 45 minutes from Spokane Valley.

Visiting family in Hermiston, stopped at Safeway, picked up some steaks for dinner. Store was stocked, not empty shelves like alot of stores. Check out was quick, and cashier friendly. Great sales on alot of items with the Safeway app.

The building is fine, but for Jesus sakes please limit self check out to 15 or less items and enforce it. If I get stuck behind one more granny with a technology deficit as well as a whole shopping carts worth of groceries I may have an aneurism in your store, Safeway.

I always have a good experience at Safeway. Always nice, clean, and things ate usually in the same place. I dont care to have to hunt for things. I like to know where they are and want them to be there the next time I go.

Not all employees are friendly well help you but dont say anything to you when finished. floors need sweeping during the day. Some parts of store are good.

100 times better than walmart, just wish the soda prices were a little lower. $6.99 ➕$1.20 deposit. Thats $8.19. I still buy it. Just wish it was a little lower.

Safeway may be a bit more expensive if something isnt on sale, BUT... if something IS on sale, usually it is a GREAT BUY!!The store is always clean and the employees are usually very nice and competent!The rewards system is another reason to shop there. You earn fuel credits and that can REALLY make a difference when filling up your car with gas or diesel. You can also use your rewards for selected grocery items, if you dont need fuel.These area just nice bonuses. Things HAVE changed since the covid-19 situation. Safeway no longer gives rain checks if they run out of a sale item, before the sale is over. Thats kinda sad. Hopefully the rain checks will eventually come back!Its a good store!

Worst Safeway Ive ever been too. The deli clerk I dealt with was extremely rude, did not listen, and did not pay attention to what he was doing. Id give a 0 * review, but that isnt possible. I rarely come to Safeway, and when I do, its just for Chinese food, which I will never do again.

I was pleased to find some household repair items there and happy that they are open until midnight. The store is very clean, employees quite friendly and helpful and later in the evening you can avoid any crowding. Prices are bit higher but if you shop by their ad and use coupons or rebate apps you can save and that makes it much more affordable. Have a great little variety in their deli, the best doughnuts in the morning, beautiful produce, appreciated imports like Lavazza espresso and often times great deals on 12pks of soda the best being buy 2 get 3 free. Free WiFi, public restrooms, byob or buy one from them, also mini Starbucks Coffee shop inside.

I personally think Safeway has a great meat department and has excellent 20 to 24 oz Lobster Tails when available!! Safeway also keeps their store nice and clean!!

Safeway has a wi-fi problem, most visits I get a notice on my phone that says wi-fi not available so my digital coupons dont get used and Im not saving anything! This seems to happen more times than not!

Went in for cookies n milk for a quarantined friend. No cookies but got the milk. Bakery was pretty wiped out at 7am which is the only time I can get there. So....I cant get deli food either.

So I had the worst experience ever at this Safeway. a check out clerk named Denise was so effin lazy. I shop here because we only have Safeway and walmart to shop at.TO Safeway you need to make your cashires like Denise from hermiston Or be more friendly and not so condescending.I will never go to a check out line again I will only go to self checkouts they are much faster.the reason I thought Denise was very unfriendly is she wouldnt help me bag my groceries or help me use my reusable bags. Oregon kate brown made us switch to reusable bags andDenise the cashier clerk refused to use them. I didnt want to spend more money on bags. than I have.Remember The Name Denise from Safeway in hermiston oregon. She was so very RUDE.

I really like Safeway because its always well stocked and I pretty much know where everything is. My only complain would be that its expensive. I live alone and am on a fixed income. For example, in the meat department they have value packs that are at a great price but I still have to spend more than $15 or $20 when I want to be able to get a variety of meats at the same price per pound but less in the package. I love the fact its in a mini mall and I can get things I need at some of the other places too!

We save more money here than at Walmart. Its cleaner, had way better produce and meat. Everybody that works here are more than happy to take you right to whatever youre looking for

Safeway has a good variety of products. May cost more than other competitors, but the quality and atmosphere make up for that. Also if one utilizes the Club prices and the Just4U app, as well as other coupons and deals the prices are still good.

Oregon Lottery available.Checkout was pleasant, no lines, fast, courteous and accurate on all pricing. Probably the best place to shop groceries in Hermiston!

Yeah thats got back from the pharmacy had one girl cut in front of us because you didnt go to the line so then I was getting my medication to another guy came up behind me and was going to cut in front of everybody else tell him you didnt back line twice so the management at Safeway needs to do something about this because your little ropes need to go back up because people really dont like people cutting in line and the people at the pharmacy are great I got stuff dont change their and having people cut in line on me Im just going to move my prescriptions to another store

The store is clean and the people are helpful and nice. Their hot Chinese deli is terrible in my opinion but I like the hot chicken deli. Regular prices are higher but sale prices are great.

This time, not so good. Deli was out of the roast beef on the ad. The meat department did not have most of the stuff on the ad out and did not seem to know what was even on the ad. In both departments, I was treated rudely by the person who seemed to be in charge. The other employees were very nice.

I was a little bothered that things were priced much higher then other an stores. However they still had things for baking when everyone else was sold out.

Perhaps our last camping trip of this year & needed some pork and veggies for a stir fry in our 5th wheel.What? Laura and Lee arent eating at a restaurant? Yep, it happens. Safeway has almost always had good produce & today was no exception. We went in @ 7:30am & were out in 15 minutes! Now, what time is dinner?
