We officially just became homeowners thanks to Clayton Homes Hendersonville! Derek, Byron, James, and Don made our experience phenomenal! They were so responsive and communicative. Anytime we had questions or concerns, they responded immediately. They made the process easy and as quick as possible, especially during COVID. We didn’t feel like we were dealing with sleazy car salesmen trying to pressure us into spending more money etc. They were super friendly and treated us like family! We are beyond happy with our new home, and we are beyond grateful for all their help! If we could give more than 5 stars, we would! Thanks guys!!

Employees need to enjoy their jobs or at least act and then learn that just handing me a key to look at homes is not what makes a great experience!

I stopped by twice. I spent 15 minutes looking around and not one employee came out to greet me. The second time I pulled in there were 4 employees outside talking and playing basketball. By the time I got out of my truck, they slurried around and disappeared like ants. After 15 minutes I left. Obvious the management doesnt care. I wont be back . To bad Im looking to buy!!!!!

This company is a PLAGUE to hwy 40 west. Every Friday, countless oversized-load trucks carting Clayton modular homes to God knows where clog all lands worse than Big Macs do my arteries.

I didnt just buy a house from Clayton. I bought my family a home from Derek and his team. Derek and Don went above and beyond standard service. They stood behind their product and made things right. My wife calls me at work almost everyday saying how much she loves it. Thanks guys for being there ❤️❤️❤️. Cant tell you guys enough how much this means to me and my family.

Great floor plans. Lots of options. Salesmen seemed nice. Watch the slick steps into the models when it rains. I saw someone slip on the stairs and fall.

New manager Derek has been a trusted coworker for years. Honest man, very intelligent, and always willing to listen. His staff in place have been nothing but phenomenal in years past and now have a great leader as well.

Great location, great staff, nice homes to walk through. Nice booklets with home information. Getting out home through clayton homes right now. The experience has been nothing but exceptional. They help in anyway possible. Handling everything they can always. Going to recommend everyone looking for an amazing affordable home.

ALERT: Real life experience, I work with this home center everyday as I am a building inspector. These folks are second to none. JP and Ed are some of the most professional people I have ever worked with. My wife and I just completed our own home purchase with this store and I couldnt be happier with the process. I would question the authenticity of any negative reviews.

I give it five stars because of the awful treatment I have received. No one reads to see one star reviews. So I give them top marks as the worst ever company to deal with. They have done nothing to help us and have lied and drug their feet. I regret buying from them 100 percent.

These guys have bent over backwards to be great partners with us. I have to say my wife and I were in tears and how great of a job they’ve done partnering with us. We’ve been to all the Clayton Homes stores in this area in a by far exceeded our expectations. These guys are awesome. Over the past few years, I have been searching for a home to buy and have not found anyone who would help with the process the way Clayton Homes of Hendersonville has. They are helpful every step of the way. Anytime there is an issue or difficulty with the home buying process, they helped me get right back on track. I feel like they care about me and my family. Id recommend them any day.

A few months back I called up Ed Massey. We graduated high school together in 1981 and I literally have not seen or spoken to him in 36 years. I told him that my daughter was pregnant and needing a home for her upcoming family. Ed said to bring her up and I promise I’ll treat her like my own. And he did!! Today was move in day. Words cannot describe how grateful I am. Thank you Ed and Clayton Homes.

ALL OF THE SALES PEOPLE ARE HORRIBLE!!!! Honestly never again. Highly sexist!!!

Been hesitant to review based on the fact Clayton was supposed to make everything right but after dealing with this company for almost 2 years only little bits have been fixed. The sales people aside from Kyle Dixon are great. Ed Massey is fantastic and if he had better leadership this home center would do so much better. This company has made countless promises they have yet to make good on, left construction supplies and brush that they told me they would clean up on my property. It took them almost an entire year to build my house with the first house they built me for getting black mold. The new manager is nice however hasn’t kept a promise that he’s made. They messed up my entire driveway so much so that I’m going to have to spend nearly 10 grand for a retaining wall because of something Clayton Homes says they will fix but has yet to fix it. During the process I was told to call the contractors and the surveyors if I wanted something done because “there was nothing more they could do”. Buy somewhere else. Do not fall victim to the endless games like I did.

Talk with Bill about your options. He is knowledgeable and wont give you the runaround. Some companies try to over sell, but Bill listened to our wants and needs. He didnt push options that would exceed our budget.

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT purchase a home from Clayton. This is the absolute worse company I’ve ever dealt with. From the inception things went wrong. The color of the house was wrong, it took them almost a year to set our home up. We haven’t even been in our home for a year, and the linoleum in the living room is coming up. They never completed the final grading. I would never recommend this company to anyone. STAY AWAY FROM CLAYTON!!!

This is not a recommendation for the company on a whole. The only redeemable feature of this leg of the company is Ed Massey. If your options lead you to buying a mobile or modular home I wouldnt recommend anyone else on this premises but Ed. He will go above and beyond for you. He took up my account after it had been neglected to the point that I had started looking to just buy a home instead of doing a land home package. Ed will take care of you and keep the ball rolling and fix things without having to be asked or repeatedly called. He picks up the slack that others drop and makes it better. Thanks Ed.

A real estate broker named Joel that works for Clayton homes thinks he has that right to judge people. He was very rude over the phone and treated me like I was mud on the bottom of his shoe. He is very unprofessional! I have never been treated like that before! I would not recommend this place to anyone! All they care about is selling the house! They dont care where it is put, and you might end up in our situation where we have a 60 eviction notice to move a single wide. Please be careful what tall sign up for!

Helpful staff and imaginative options but not built to last

From day one when we walked onto the lot and meet Gene, has been nothing but lies and deceit. been in our home over a year and things still are not fixed that they knew about since first day on their lot. Don does his very best, however Don is a handyman not a skilled professional. We have problems that will cost us thousands to fix. we thought we were buying a new modular home only to find out we ended up with a glorified fixer upper doublewide. In collusion, if you pull on to Claytons lot you have been warned!!! Run run run as fast as you can, these folks are not in the business to help you only themselves.

At first they get you excited about looking for homes but.....when you see just what you want and start trying to get things done, they drag their feet and do not inform the customer for anything. I feel as if this is a joke. Should i have to call, email and go up there in person everytime just to get some answers on where we are in the process or what else we need to do? I dont think thats how a business should be ran. They are just clueless about EVERYTHING! Been trying for 2 or so month for a house that we are already pre approved for and have got no where. Taking our business else where!!!!

DO NOT BY A HOME FROM THIS COMPANY! Within one year my house sunk almost 5 inches and in less than 6 years my entire roof had water damage because they didn’t install the roof vents properly. When you call them they are no help and will not cover any damages from builder negligence after one year. A sorry company with sorry employees that are only worried about their quota and nothing else.

I was flat out lied to, they didnt give you any options for carpet style, they didnt let me pick out my bathtub,they told me they would come back and finish the touch ups and never came back, I never once met the man who was supposed to be running it.i wouldnt recommend them to anyone unless youre looking for Rude staff and a waste of money and lots of it !! : (
