No other gunsmith even holds a candle to these guys. I drive over an hour to their shop, despite the fact that there are several other gunsmiths around me. Their quality cannot be matched. I receive my rifles back to me weeks ahead of when they estimated it would be done, and each time they look better than when they entered the shop. Worth the drive, even if I lived a few hours away!

Just picked-up my fathers shotgun (Belgium Browning A5) that I took to this shop to have the metal and wood refinished. I couldnt be happier with the workmanship! This is a custom gunmaker/gunsmith and their art takes a little time. Im glad I waited! Countless Grouse and Quail have fallen to this shotgun and now I can try to add a few more. Thank you for the excellent work. My grandfathers Colt Match Target .22 will be coming to you soon. Caveat, I understand the dollar value issue that comes with refinishing, but this shotgun is going nowhere. It will stay with the family; preserved by Michael Merker Riflemakers.

Excellent work, done in a reasonable amount of time. A bit proud of his work, but he should be. I would not pay less to have my firearms bubbled up.

Took my pistol there to have them give it a good going over to make sure it was operating ok. The cylinder was rough and sticking in one spot and when I got it back it was still doing the same thing and also I asked them to polish up the stainless steel and I am sure they did not do that. Only thing he done to the pistol was put new grips on it which I asked him also to do. After I got home and used some good polish a shined it up like a new one. He charged me $200 for what he did or lack there of. I will not ever take another thing back to him.

My Kriegoff experienced repeated doubling, despite several attempts by a Kriegoff gunsmith to fix it. Took it to Mike, who worked on a Beretta of mine. He took his time with it, the best gunsmiths do not hurry. Worked the sears, etc and test fired multiple types of 12 ga. thru it. I have now put at least 1000 rds thru it and it works flawlessly. Very reasonable charge too. Thank you Mike!!!!

Stoped in on my way back to SC. They have some real nice vintage firearms.. Talked with a very nice very big guy. Nice place..just a bit too many nice weapons and me without the funds to match.

I needed a grip screw for a pistol. I went in and asked if they might have one to match. The Gunsmith took the pistol to the back and brought it back with a regular flat head screw that was completely wrong and would not let me have the pistol back until I PAID 8 DOLLARS. If he didnt have the screw just tell me. I would have had him order the proper screw. Completely unprofessional store. Do yourself a favor and find another gunsmith.

A little disappointed. My question was not answered.
