This us the cutest little shop! Its right in the heart of Old Hickory in a revamped store front. The young ladies that run this are very knowledgeable about their products. They can explain what each crystal can do for you and the best uses for them.
Will never shop at this store again! They are rude and unprofessional. The one with the pink hair is awful and has a smart mouth! When working at a place like that you have to know how to treat&customer serve people! Professional CS is so important! Many sign up for the job just for pay and don’t won’t to do the job properly or been trained properly with in Customer Service! I’ve heard so many speak badly on the employees there and how they treat older, disabled or people of color! Will never get my money ever again! 👋 And their Products are Trash anyway!!!! Would suggest Sephora 🌸
2 stars only because I love ulta and shop here often. The employees at this location are consistently rude and unfriendly. Not a single person spoke to me the entire time I shopped and I walked past several girls working the sales floor. This seems to be the norm whenever I come in. I overlooked it and just grabbed what I needed. At checkout, the girl was nice enough but it felt very forced and disingenuous. I complimented her trying to lighten the mood but I just felt very awkward. The customer service needs major work.
Big, clean store. Very well organized. I ordered online for pickup but was still too tempted to browse a bit. Most items were well stocked and the staff was very friendly.
I have gone to several Ulta stores in the Nashville area over the years, but this store is by far my favorite! They were so kind when helping me find the right products for me! Jada and McKenzie were so great!

I went in to get something that said was in stock online. I got there, but it was out (to no fault of their own, I know online isn’t always caught up). However, when I was inside I felt as though I was being followed around and kept getting greeted. This could have just been a miscommunication but I felt scared to even ask about the product I was looking for so I bought my things and left.When I was getting checked out, the woman was not very kind. I went to my car and called to ask about the product I originally went in for and whoever answered the phone only made me feel worse about my experience.It could be just the employees having a bad day or me reading into it to much, but the customer service was not up par in my opinion and made me feel bad.

I love the Ulta store!!!!! I can find everything I need in one store..from nail polish..tanning products..hair brushes...the list goes on..I can go in there for one thing and by gosh I end up with way too much.In the only issue I have, which I guess could be stupid, the associates could be more friendly and ask you if you need anything...I work retail and i love making sure the customers know Im glad theyre shopping with us.
You should consider updating the hours on your door to match the accuracy of the true store hours. We came by tonight and the lady at the door was too lazy to open the door and say Hey, our hours have changed we are closed instead she stared at me and shook her head no to me like a child. Super unprofessional.All while customers were inside and all of the lights were on. There was no indication that you were closed. Communicate with your customers.
Employees VERY helpful and they have great black Friday deals before Thanksgiving. Love this location. Everyone was social distancing and helping at the same time.
I have been very disappointed in the way the staff talks to the customer and the attitude towards them. We are in there shopping and or returning items to try something different (like the item I returned because it burned my skin) the management really needs to work on customer service and friendly faces. And NOT leaving the front unattended for so long that a line forms of 5+ deep because everyone is to busy chatting with each other and being rude to the shoppers.I worked in retail for 10+ years. If this was my store I would be in big trouble. I hope that someone actually does something and really works on the staff and the way they handle customer service.

What’s the point of curbside if you must wait in your car for 15 mins? They had time to pick up the phone when I called. Also, the female with shoulder length brown hair whom brought out my package needs to lose the attitude and most likely a review of customer service standards. This is why people order online instead of in person! Brick and mortar will be a thing of the past if y’all don’t get it together. Will not be visiting this location again.

Employees are more concerned with standing around making snarky comments about customers, than selling or cleaning. The store could be so pretty if anyone cared to try. Thank god for online shopping, so I can get the products without dealing with this nightmare and being treated as an inconvenience, instead of a paying customer.

This is the best Ulta. Everyone there on staff is friendly and kind. Sometimes if you go into a makeup place looking super casual they treat you differently, but not here! I went in today with no makeup in work out clothes and they helped me and treated me the same as anyone else.

The staff here was very friendly compared to some makeup stores I have been in (and I am a makeup FEIGN!) Which really goes a long way with me. If I dont feel like Im being watched & judged, Im definitely going to return. There is typically always a coupon available, tons of help readily available & you will definitely walk out with a bag of 1, 2 (or 12) items! The points program is pretty good too, the only downside is they do expire after so long (if I remember correctly & this hasnt changed)
I was very disappointed with the store associates today. Apparently I’m not young enough or pretty enough for them to offer to show me how to apply eye shadow. One of the associates did spend time talking to me about eye shadow but she did not offer to show me how to apply it. I plainly said I needed help with that. No offer to help. The other associate who originally helped me with foundation just abandoned me and the next thing I know, she had passed me off to someone else. I looked up and saw her helping someone else. I decided to pass on buying it. I’ll buy it where I am made to feel like my business is appreciated. Don’t ask me if I need help you don’t really want to actually help me. I’d just as soon be left alone. That’s how you made me feel anyway.
As a guy walking into this store I guess they don’t assume I’m actually shopping for anything, therefore no one ever asks me if I need any help. Ive only ever bought my perfumes from here sense they’re have a wide selection and carry the Ariana Grande brand. The store is pretty clean and well organized. I mean the people at the registers are nice, but that’s probably cause I’m spending my money.

Why is it Every One of these stores has such poor customer service! The products are good. Cashiers are always mean and hateful, workers on the floor never check to see if you need help and act annoyed if you ask them a question. I would not recommend the hair salon located in the back of these stores. Very unprofessional. They do a terrible job. Inexperienced. It’s never been clear if they do makeovers in these stores or not. If so do you have to make an appointment or what. I suppose whoever runs these stores needs to start over!
I love this place too much. I have to have tunnel vision going in to get what I need or else I end up buying up everything in the store. Thats not an insult though, its my lack of self control for beauty products.
The staff is always lovely, helpful, knowledgable and friendly. I love coming here for all of my makeup needs. They have everything from drugstore to high end. I have yet to use their wax bar, hair services or facials but I cant wait until I do!
You can find a wide selection of makeup that you cannot find anywhere else. We were able to buy my girlfriends mascara there.
I was not pleased when I saw an employee at Ulta Beauty ask a Hispanic mother if she needed any help, only to find that she didnt speak English and the employee walked off and said, Ok, didnt catch any of that.That wasnt cool!
My daughter and I went in so that she could get a new foundation. She has beautiful fair skin, and it is really hard to find a good shade for her. The women who worked with us were amazing. They tested and really worked to find the best shade for her. They shared in her frustrations and got excited when they found the perfect match. They didnt make her feel rushed or pressured. I was definitely impressed.
Worst experience ever!! 1st time going and ever having anything done at the Salon, but won’t be back!! Stylist was rude and done an horrible job just waxing my eyebrows. Had to go home and correct her mess which I paid for without so much of a discount. The manager was supposed to call me the next day, here we are 10 days later and not so much as a phone call. They don’t care about you or how you look when you leave. Won’t go back, worst mistake ever!!

Ulta is your go-to place for any beauty needs whether it be skin, hair, or nails. They have top Salon brands or just regular store brands. Just about whatever you need they have in store or theres always online for any unique or particular item that they may not have in stock.The staff is friendly and very helpful. If youre not sure what to get for a particular reason they are very informed and can assist.
I’ve been getting my hair done at a different Ulta location for 2 years.I booked online to get a full set of highlights with a master stylist. I didn’t need much work done to my hair just the highlights $145 was the cost with the master stylist.Once I got there the man doing my hair told me that I needed my hair dyed, toned, then highlighted, and retoned. He told me that he was going to change me $100 per hour- doing a minimum of 3 hours of work.I told him to do what I booked for ONLY. And this made him mad.He pulled my hair so tight it was literally painful, then kept pushing my head and neck around throughout the process. I have never had someone be so rough while doing my hair and I’m not tender headed.He didn’t ask me if he was hurting me either.He was also working on another client at the same time and treated her so kind asking if he was hurting her.He refused to trim my hair saying I was being cheap because he was going to charge me for a full hair cut.Then he also charge me for a keratin treatment and something else totaling $45.My entire cost of service was $190. Which I didn’t mind paying if he had told me what he was doing. Instead he just did this with out my approval or consent.I went up front to pay and the manager took off the $45 charge to I was only charged what I booked for.I am absolutely astonished by the extreme unprofessionalism that I experienced at this Ulta location. I’ve used Ulta for years and had excellent services and experiences. I’ve even referred family and friends to stylist in the past.

Dont ever do an online order for pick up. Worst mistake ever at this location. I realized I had damage goods once I got home. I followed the directions on the email to walk in and look for the online pickup sign. Stood there for 10 minutes while the workers kept scanning people at the registers stared at me waiting to pick up my order,knowing what I was there for. When finally greeted, no ID or email was cheaked for confirmation. I mean I guess thats what happens you start back trying to give ULTA a chance.....back to sephora I go. Huge mistake
Ulta stores give me mixed feelings. Sometimes I get great service. Sales people are attentive and full of info. Other times they practically sneer at you. It’s infuriating and hurtful. I’m a large sized lady and love all things beauty. When I feel I’ve been treated poorly, I tell whoever is playing manager and order online. Their customer service is always pleasant.
The Clingue rep was amazing and I finally found a perfect match for my face.
After not finding exactly what I needed at another close by beauty supply, I tried Ulta. Ive now been there several times & each time I was able to find what I needed. I love the music they have playing & the fun atmosphere it creates. The staff are always busy but never hesitated to help if I had a question. Its almost like going to a beauty supply department store...I love it!

We had gone in to Ulta wanting to schedule an appointment for The Brow Bar. We stood at the counter waiting for someone to help us with no luck!! Even a simple we will be with you in a min but no... so then we found a group of 3 employees standing around talking and they totally ignored us. They offered other people help while overlooking my daughter and I. When I finally did speak up they seem so confused with one employee saying umm I don’t know how to check that! Well we didn’t stay because the wait was over an hour and we just felt very disappointed with the lack of costumer service.

Today I decided to use every giftcard I had accumulated over the past two years. Treat myself day. Went into Ulta looking for something new for my lips. Walked in not one employee welcomed me. Walked around the store still nothing. Plenty of people came in and were assisted. I left the store and went to a couple more. Came back hoping for a different outcome. Same thing. Finally asked the associates having a conversation by the register if one of them could help me with trying on the lipsticks I was looking at. She bought me one applicator and promptly left. Needless to say I still have my Ulta giftcard and wish my friend hadnt used her money with this company.

The salon manager Tracy is amazing! Best haircut in years! She followed my picture, gave suggestions on styling, and hair type....really knows hair! Cant recommend highly enough!
Hair salon is extremely expensive. I was charged $165 to do an ombré.. it took 5 hours for her to get done and my hair is a little longer than shoulder length. Got it done 3 weeks ago and the color is already coming out. Love the store, not so much the salon.
I showed the stylist a picture of long layers that dip below the shoulder. What I walked out with looks nothing like the picture I showed her. The hair on the sides of my face is cut too far up and way too far back resulting in what looks like the growing out stages of a poorly executed mullet. The shortest layer is a strange chunk of hair on the right side of my face that falls right at my eye. Its not angled or blended, its a blunt chunk of hair right in front of my face that isnt long enough to pin back. Its truly bad. If, after looking at a picture, you are still unclear with what your client wants, dont cut first and ask questions later. The damage is done, and it will be months before my hair looks normal again. In the meantime, there is no way to make this haircut look better. The best Ive been able to come up with is just bobby pinning it all back to disguise the botched layers in front.
Its a little crowded, staff is nice but sometimes I dont like being bothered when I shop.
Staff was all friendly and offered help. They may need a bit more guidance on understanding which products are Vegan as most brands I was pointed to are not 100% Vegan (only certain items are) or the companies they stated as Vegan are owned by companies which are not vegan or cruelty free. The Vegan cosmetic world can get pretty confusing, so I wasnt disappointed in the staff at all. Just wondering if there are ways a Vegan shopper can find options without having to Google to double check their recommendations. Hopefully they will get in Pacifica make up soon at this location. ;)

I love this place-- everyone is so helpful. And, I got my hair done yesterday at The Salon by a girl names Jackie and she was awesome. She listened to everything I wanted (and it was a tall order!) and did my hair exactly how I wanted it, which is a MUST for me at any salon! I hate it when stylists do what they want and dont listen! I give this place and The Salon a 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend Jackie as a stylist :)
Looks like a kid went through and destroyed all of their display product. I wish the drugstore make up wasnt so close to the checkout area, it makes it hard to shop.
On July 22 a post was made to the Ulta Beauty Hendersonville Facebook page advertising a back-to-school makeup class for girls. The class was to be with Chloe on August 5th, from 6-7pm. I knew it would be something my daughter would thoroughly enjoy, and I wanted to make her back-to-school experience extra special this year. I called that day to get her scheduled. I should have known something was amiss when i had to speak with three different people before anyone even knew what I was talking about. Finally I spoke to a gentleman named Robert who seemed familiar with the class. He took my daughter’s information and assured me she had a spot in the class.Tonight we drove 45 minutes to Ulta for the class. We arrived a few minutes early, and went to the counter to check in. When I told the lady we were there for the class, she looked confused. So I pulled up the post on their Facebook page and showed her. She stated that it was odd because Chloe wasn’t even there tonight. She was apologetic and offered us a private lesson with another lady who had an open spot at 6:15. She also indicated they would “do a little something extra” for our inconvenience, though she didn’t specify what that was. My daughter had been looking forward to this class since I told her I had signed her up, and not wanting to disappoint her, I took the 6:15 appointment. It was 6:21 when we were called back; not a big deal. However, the lady was there alone, obviously overwhelmed, and was answering the phone and scheduling appointments while we continued to wait. Then she had to go gather makeup from throughout the store before she could begin.She was very polite and kind to my daughter, and she did a nice job on her makeup. However, we were only with her for roughly 35 minutes. So I was quite surprised when the ticket she printed showed a charge of $60 for one hour. To be clear, I do not mind paying for someone’s time if we actually used the time, but I prefer not to pay for time we did not receive. I approached the girl at the front desk and told her what had happened. She seemed unconcerned, and then asked to see the “flyer” from their page, so I pulled up their Facebook page and showed her the post that was STILL THERE, and very clearly stated the date and time. We had shown up for an event they still had posted, with nothing indicating it had been canceled.She called her manager, and I once again explained what had happened. I let her know that I didn’t mind to pay for the service if I had gotten the full amount of time, but being charged for an hour when we had gotten 35 minutes max did not seem fair. She was clearly unconcerned about the entire inconvenience of the matter, and didn’t seem the least bit concerned about my daughter’s disappointment over not getting to do the class we had specifically signed up for. The manager acted as though we were an inconvenience to her for having the audacity to suggest that perhaps we shouldn’t have to pay for time we did not use. She agreed to reduce the fee to 30 minutes and left to get a new ticket. When she returned, she handed me the ticket and walked away. No apology, no “something extra” for my daughter, NOTHING. The worst part is that they didn’t even own the mistake that was very clearly still on their Facebook page! Nor did they do anything to try and rectify the situation. They could have easily fixed this, but they truly could not have cared any less. Completely unprofessional and grossly incompetent. That’s all that I can come up with to describe this place. ZERO stars is too many.

Terrible experience. Called and asked if they had any of the nail polish that the website said they had in stock and they said no. They told me to drive up there and it was at the front of the store.
My usual stylist was sick and I had to do an emergency root fix at home before going out of town. Scheduling conflicts prevented me from making another appointment when I got back so I decided to book here to get my color fixed up and a trim. The cut came out fine (not perfect, but okay). When I got home I looked closer and saw there was dye on the back of my neck and ears and she didnt rinse well enough so my scalp looks like it was painted on one side. What was worse was how awkward the whole situation was. While my dye set I was left alone with nothing to do but play with my phone. Its an open air salon; so Im sitting out in the open in the store, no one checking on me, nothing to do but stare at the wall or floor. In fact, it almost felt like I was being ignored. Plus, the shampoo station is in the back next to an exit door and it was freezing. Price was on par with a lot of places, but at other places you arent left totally alone with nothing to do and no one checking on you and you leave with undyed skin.
I could spend hours in her and never get tired. Its a dream come true

Last visit there were two items that they ordered for me and when it arrived, it was not what I ordered. Asked for refund and was told to call customer service, then customer service said we did not order this from them. MONRY EAIDTED ! Will not be back!
