I have never had contacts before, so called in to get a cost for the exam and to see if I could walk in. I was quoted $120, and I was told that includes everything included a sample set of contacts. I took the 20 minute drive down to find out the real cost for me will be $170. I am principle based and walked due to the deception, the bait and switch and or lack of honest communication when I called in to decide if I wanted to be a new client of theirs. Of course when I was upset at the used car salesman tactics, they justify their charges and tell me all optometrist offices quote a range is acceptable to them, like I am supposed to know this. I called in as I didn’t know the costs, but it is ok with them to be deceitful as that is the industry standard. What they failed to miss was the frustration due to their added charges. They said they are not connected to the Vision center who answered the call and quoted their rates. Isn’t that convenient, have another entity answer the calls for your business and blame the unassociated business for the false information to justify your add on costs of nearly 50% more. Any way it goes, for whatever poor business practice they have, the experience as a potentially new customer was like dealing with an old school used car salesman, or a really shady attorney...I see why Doctors are now viewed just like used car salesman and shady attorneys, because they are lying thieves. How hard is it to simply list the costs on a website, so a person doesn’t walk in and feel zero trust and like they are getting screwed over. Really bad practice, I suggest going to an honest place if you can find one, or certainly one with transparency! This is what I get for trying to go generic....
Had an eye exam with Dr Le. Outstanding experience. She explained everything in detail and found a solution for me. Thanks Dr Le—so good to see clearly again!
We had an excellent experience from eye appointment, (Eye Dr is separate from vision center) ordering glasses and picking them up. Flawless experience.
8/21: Normally a good experience here. Ordered contacts last week. Received a call they’re ready for pick up. Called ahead and went to pick up my order. Waiting over twenty minutes and left as there were only two staff members and won’t allow pick ups to just grab order while they assist other customers. Would’ve been another hour wait just to pick up my order.8/25: Updated review. Called ahead again. Lady put my order aside for a quick pickup.
I called to get my prescription for my glasses because I would like to order online rather than going into the place right now with everything going on and the lady told me she wouldnt give me my prescription over the phone. So I asked if I needed to come in because its taped off and then she asked my name to look me up, just to tell me that she wouldnt give me the info?? Why even look up my name if you are not going to help me????
Doctor was nice. Front desk was incompetent when it came to insurance. My biggest issue is the doctor gave me the wrong prescription. I filled it. But when I put those glasses on it made my eyesight worse. Went to my prior eye doctor over at Eyediology in summerlin. Got a new prescription ( only a few months after seeing this doctor) got new glasses with that script and can happily see great again. Going here was a waste of time and money. I do not recommend at all!
Really frustrated with this vision center. Was told glasses would be ready today but now another week which is very unacceptable especially when there basic glasses shipped from usps I dont understand seems like someone probably put in my order in late now another week i cant see cant drive cant work if u need glasses from emergency do not come here it was a waste of my time and my money u go cheap EXPECT cheap cheap service as well
The doctor (women) was so rude and snappy for no reason. We had to leave and not get and eye exam. Should have a receptionist if you dont want people to ring the bell when they walk in or put the bell away.
In 10 years, Ive never had a bad experience, only good.
Not usually a commenter, but this was the most thorough, informational eye exam Ive ever had. Highly recommend Dr. Campaña and office.
I had the pleasure of having Dr. Campana provide me with an eye examination to update my contact prescription, and I have to say it was a great experience from beginning to end.The examination itself spanned a few minutes, but he provided me with concise, informative feedback throughout the process. Dr. Campana answered all of my concerns/questions regarding alterations to my previous prescription, and was overall enjoyable company. For reference of prospective customers, I came into the vision center to update my contact prescription. I originally had my prescription assigned from O.D.s at a Pearl Vision, which is a bit costly without a visual insurance (take into consideration that I have a stigmatism, the exam itself is pricier than normal). The examination at Walmarts center only cost $120 (additional fee for a stigmatism included), including a complimentary pair of contacts upon leaving. I chose Walmarts vision center as ordering a Biofinity (my preferred brand) contact resupply is much more affordable than ordering from Pearl Vision.Very much satisfied with the entire experience, would definitely recommend for those who are without visual insurance plans.
They lie about the eye exam price. Then when you get to the store they add extra fees. I will not be coming back to this place.
