This place has some great food. Everything had great ingredients and was prepared really well.This is not a typical sit down restaurant. Its a bit more like a deli style joint.I would definitely recommend it. Just know that the waffles are quite thin and not meant to really fill you up. So, if you are hungry, order two things.

Coldwater shrimp sandwich is my favorite! Delicious and filling, but not heavy where I feel like Im gonna have a food coma afterwards. Their pastries are great when in stock, try the princess cake if theyve got it!

I highly recommend the princess cake! Supper yummy! I also had the Danish hotdog which was super good. The staff was very friendly and I will definitely visit again!

Love this place! All of the sandwiches and waffles are amazing. Had smoked salmon today. Since moving to CA dont get to come here much anymore, but just drove into town and made a beeline for Saga. 😁

Casual deli style place where you can take your time if you want to eat there. We sat outside, in the shade and enjoyed our sandwiches. Great flavors. Freshly prepared. I will eat at SAGA again.

I had such a horrific day on Friday and when my husband and I walked in, all of our work stresses melted away. The Nordic panini reminds me of the delicious, clean, food back home in Poland (hello dill!) Thank you for giving us such a fantastic experience. Youll be seeing a lot more of us :)

We ordered some crepes and cakes and everything was very good. The only reason I gave them only four stars is that the crepes with fruits dont have a lot of fruits as we are used to at other crepes places. Maybe its because they serve them as cones instead of on plates. I would say the size of cone crepes are just right for children.We didnt order but we noticed they are also preparing sandwiches that look good. See the pictures.

Authentic Scandinavian cuisine can be found on Eastern Avenue! I was drawn to Saga Pastry from the pictures Id seen of the Nordic waffles so I made a stop last Friday morning. The owner, Gert, had just opened the doors and proceeded to make a waffle for me.  I told him to just do what he thought would be best, but to please include bananas.  The result was a delicious heart-shaped waffle topped with bananas, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and whipped cream - a simple yet scrumptious treat.  For $8, you can build your own waffle, gluten-free waffle, Swedish pancake, or crepe with 3 toppings. Since I was there on a Friday, I got the Friday special, which is a free Calypso lemonade with any Nordic waffle purchase. There are other specials for every week day, too.Saga offers other authentic Scandinavian sandwiches and baguettes. The restaurant is spacious and super-clean and an excellent place to meet up with friends for brunch.Gert himself has a culinary background that includes working on the Strip as a chef and for IKEA. This is his countrys cuisine and he knows his stuff.  I cant wait for my next visit!

Saga is a wonderful treat. I thought Id made a review the first time I went but apparently not. So here is a new one. First time with friends next time with my mom who is Scandinavian. She loved the flavors. The owner is really super sweet. Definitely ask him for the details about the food because you get so much insight.

Head down Eastern toward Anthem and you end you in Scandinavia. Some of the best Nordic food this side of the fjords is in Henderson.You must try the best sandwich in Las Vegas: the smorgasbord sandwich. The open-faced log starts with a hunk of 7-grain bread and then is overflowing with smoked salmon, rosemary ham, cold water shrimp and Jarlsberg cheese. The chef uses these tasty micro greens to add color and flavor.I also loved their take on the standard ham and cheese. Chef Gert rolls the cheese slices so they look like sails. The open-faced sandwich had in-your-face Jarlsberg with sliced ham laced with rosemary. Unusual and delightful!This is a great place for brunch. Try the Swedish blueberry pancakes. They are smothered in fresh, crunchy blueberries which glisten with blueberry jam and honey butter. Maple syrup sits on the side.The restaurant is known for its classic Nordic waffle. This paper-thin waffle has four dabs of Swedish lingonberry jam sitting on top of vanilla-flavored sour cream. Id never had anything like it in America.The chef, who was the executive chef at the Flamingo for 12 years, stenciled Scandinavian words on the wall to add local flavor. Now I know how to pronounce hygge!Saga has a delicious story to tell. You must go!

This place is top notch. It has genuine, delicious, authentic Scandinavian food. I lived in Norway for two years and visit Sweden once a year in the summer. We occasionally pass through Denmark. This place is 100% authentic! We got the Danish hotdog which was absolutely fantastic. We also got the shrimp open faced sandwich and princess cake. We could not have gotten any better if we had been to one of our favorite places in Sweden, Norway, or Denmark. The chef / owner here is from Norway. We highly recommend this place!!!

Had the Norwegian smoked salmon open faced sandwich. Delicious. Ingredients are fresh and expertly paired, the 7 grain bread was an awesome base. Also tried a lemon square which was also very yummy. Ill be coming back to try the waffles and crepes.

Their food was amazing, service was so exceptional. My husband and I are huge breakfast people and this was a random selection for us. We talked to the owner about expanding to Summerlin, Nv because that’s where we live. This place has more than comparable food to Toast Society + Neighbors. Believe me when I say, the food tasted much better and a little added perk of seeing smiling faces once we walked in! WE BEG OF SAGA to open a brunch bistro in Sunmerlin! Amazing, amazing, amazing!! Excellent sandwiches, tried the smorgasbord, delishes, fresh ingredients. Pastries to die for. Sunday brunch yesterday with ladies, fab! Definitely will be a favorite for these Hawaiian transplants.Touch of class, great place for afternoon tea.

Upon entering was quickly greeted with stellar customer service. I was asked if we had any questions re: the menu and I most certainly did. What do you recommend? So I was told by the owner the Artic Shrimp Sandwich without a second of doubt. So at that point it was a must.We opted for the Baileys waffle, Artic Shrimp Sandwich, and 2 drinks. I was really taken aback by this sandwich. Normally I am a weirdo and dont like things that are fishy in flavor. Usually to me the little shrimp have a unique fishy type taste. This sandwich most certainly did not. It was beyond amazing. Very beautifully plated. I felt guilty eating it. That is how pretty it was. However the taste was out of this world. All of the fresh herbs and garnishes were paired perfectly for this sandwich creation.Interior is several table & chair arrangements, even outdoor seating as well. Of course spacing and limited capacity for good Ol Covid. Everything was very clean and there were televisions going. Staff was wearing masks to ensure safety.Would thoroughly recommend - pricing was very reasonable especially for the portions and quality of the food. I am still in shock by that flavor. It was not overwhelming just perfect.

Incredibly yummy pancakes and waffles. We ordered a pretty diverse number of waffles, pancakes, and even a salad and we were all delighted with our food. The lingonberry drink was especially delicious.

Been here a dozen of times and always the best service, best quality of shrimp and fresh greens. Top notch and such a wonderful asset to our neighborhood. 👍

What a lovely little restaurant! Stopped in today before an appointment across the street and was pleasantly surprised. I asked the young lady at the counter for recommendations since it was my first time and she was super helpful. We decided on a ham & cheese savory waffle and it was delicious! So nice to have something unique in town. I can’t wait to come back!

The classic Nordic waffle was delicious, served on a cutting board. It was the perfect combination of tartness and sweet. The waffle itself was delicate and perfectly cooked with a slight crisp to it. The decor is tasteful and welcoming. Felt peaceful and at ease while dining. The owner was very nice, wish I had more time to chat with him, there is so much would like to know about how restaurant came to be. It is a gem in the desert. Just loved everything about my experiences there today. Hope to be back soon to try other delicacies.

As a Swede living abroad, these dishes are amazing. Reminds us of home and it all taste delicious. I’ve gone countless times for the smoked salmon sandwich, my daughter loves the Swedish pancakes. Tonight I took her to get ice cream from Saga and it was spectacular. One ice cream with a crepe and other in a waffle, delicious!

Just stopped in today! My wife saw her friend post about this place, If you like strong coffee or/and perhaps a cookie. They have top shelf shrimp sandwiches. My wife is Swedish and immediately got a sandwich and a Semla :) Owner is Norwegian and a nice chatty guy!

This is my new favorite sandwich shop in Henderson! The owner, Gurt, is from Norway and he is very kind and friendly.

Fresh salmon in my open faced sandwich (smørrebrød) was delicious and while the bread itself was nothing special, the stack of toppings really made it great. The sticky bun was solid if not unique. Id like to see more Scandinavian/Danish pastries next time Im in, which will definitely be soon. The Scandy aesthetic is cool (in both senses of the word). Try the lingonberry drink, too!
