Service is always great. Food tastes fantastic. Try their crab Benedict but make sure to ask for an English muffin because it does not come with one.

I love this place! They have breakfast all day and they arent too crazy expensive plus their portion size is perfect. You have to try their french toast. Its my favorite. Its made with a different type of bread and they add something called marscarpone on it... I dont think I spelled it right, but get extra of that. Its almost like a dessert dipping your french toast in it. Perfect combination. The people there are so friendly and it makes you want to come back everyday. Their breakfast food is great Im sure their lunch and dinner are amazing too. They are definitely the best restaurant in Leland. Family friendly as well and they have outdoor seating for those nice days. A+ guys good job

Small place BUT BIG ON FLAVOR AND SERVICE. You can dine in or outside. We would highly recommend for Leland area or even a drive from Wilmington to here. Thanks for the great service Morgan.

As someone who loves breakfast and breakfast foods, this place is heaven! The food is always delicious and theres something there for everyone. They also have lunch and dinner meals which I assume are just as delicious. The staff is friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs. JC is the waiter we normally get and hes so polite and friendly, hes a pleasure to interact with. If you have a craving for breakfast, or just wanna check out one of my favorite places, give New Day Cafe a try. Ive never been disappointed with my food or my service. The meals are not that expensive and you get decent portions for what you pay for. 10/10 experience for me and I hope yours is just as good!

The food was delicious. I had the salmon special and it did not disappoint. Service was also great. The food came out quick, was hot And had a wonderful presentation.

So I had never been here before despite living close by. I will say Ill be coming back soon. The food was actually really good and service was on point. I ordered the shrimp creole special and it was delicious.

First time going and definitely not the last. I decided on the short ribs because of other reviews here and I wasnt let down. My girlfriend had the crab cakes and she loved them. Food presentation was on point and the service was awesome 👌.

My husband and I have eaten here twice and it has been incredible. The service is great. The atmosphere is fantastic (I love the new hits turned classical music). Last time, I got a breakfast burrito that was absolutely delicious. My husband got corned beef hash and it was the best he has ever had in this area! This time I had an INCREDIBLE meat lovers omelet. Husband had the All American and was extremely satisfied. The bacon is probably the best thing we got eat time. It literally melts in your mouth.This has become our go to breakfast spot. Our hidden gem, if you will. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for some delicious food at a good price.

First time at New Day Cafe with my wife and mother. Very well rounded menu and specials. We had two special reubens . Their Reuben is different then the traditional Reuben I have had. The meat was not shaved more like a lunch meat, it was chunky and tender, excellent. One of the best versions I have eaten. My wife had a club sandwich and thought it was delicious. Each of us had homemade chips that were excellent. We finished with two excellent desserts. We thought the prices were reasonable, the selection was excellent and the service and management were friendly, helpful, and courteous. For our first visit there is nothing I would have changed. We will be back on a regular basis.

Today was our first time at this place. Let me tell u this place is amazing. Room temperature was perfect, waiter JC was nice and very helpful on what was good or tasty. The food was outstanding and the presentations were beautiful. We will definitely recommend to everyone to eat here. We’ll be back for sure.

Love this restaurant! But our server today never came back after our food was delivered. We needed a few things to really enjoy it! We had to go get her to even get our check! She was sitting at the counter talking the entire time! Right now I’m getting back up to take her my credit card to pay! This is ridiculous when it’s a lunch place and people have to get back to work! I believe her name was Jade.

Fabulous place to eat, menu is excellent & has something for everyone. The owners are personable, hard working & in tune with their customers wants & desires. A must visit that will quickly become a favorite go to spot!!

So we have gone there 4 times total. We are a family of 5 with 3 small children. And have had 2 bad experiences here now. The first bad experience was about a month ago, I stood by the door waiting to be seated for about 10 minutes, and the staff would walk past me, purposefully avoiding eye contact so as not to have to talk to us or whatever, so I eventually left. The next experience went really well, food was good and the staff was timely and polite. This last time was horrible. My wife went in to get a table, once seated we waited 22 minutes (I know this because my wife called me to bring the kids in once she was seated) before we had had anyone take our order. Our kids were restless and they didnt have any childrens menus. They offered some paper for them to draw on which they never delivered. We waited a further 10 minutes before canceling our order and leaving, meaning we waited over 30 minutes before we even got a drink. We wont be going here again. There are equally good non-chain locations in the area, and frankly Id prefer Applebees to New Day Cafe at this point. Also it always stinks like bleach.

Few restaurants open close to river walk at lunch time, so resorted to google search for a lunch place. Glad that we came! Great food. My family loved all the dishes that we ordered: crab melt, flounder po’boy, chichi shrimp quesadilla, French dip. House chips are also good! Thanks!

Food was good! Wait staff kind and cheerful!I suggest you read your receipt. Breakfast wwith 2 eggs, 2 sides, and bread - menu said $9.99 but we were charged $11.50 with.50 extra for fruit ( when fruit was NOT extra for breakfast, according to menu). When asked to correct, the new charges were way too confusing and total still to high. Owner said the waitresses were supposed to tell customers the price wasnt correct. I will never go back! Dishonest folk!

Mom and I dropped by and split the breakfast burrito and veggie omelet with the excellent potato hash. We swooned over a neighbors french toast. Chelle (to distinguish her from another server called Michelle) was friendly, helpful, and attentive without staying overlong with us or any table that we noticed. The meal was delicious, quickly delivered and reasonably priced. About 2/3 full at 10 on a Sunday, I think this might be the last time we get to go without a wait; it deserves a steady stream of breakfast aficionados. Definitely a new favorite spot in Leland!

Breakfast was perfect. They were busy, but there was no noticeable wait for a table or the food. The portions are incredibly generous and staff are very friendly and attentive. I would certainly recommend New Day for anyone looking for a good, filling meal.

I leave reviews based off of 3 things. Waitstaff, wait time and taste of food. In this review the taste and waitstaff helped get it to 4 stars. The waitress was certainly on top of things and the food definitely hit the mark! Only reason it wasnt 5 stars is because it took an hour to prepare food for 3 people. We had to eat in the car on the way back to work. I do recommend for the taste of the food but be prepared to wait for it.

Pains me to say this experience was negative from the start. I can understand the establishment is small and busy on a Saturday morning, however it was obviously that we as women of color were overlooked numerous times even with a white couple coming in after us being served before us. This was just bad customer service and felt intentional. We will not be back.

This is our go to place on mornings we get off work and have the night off. Great breakfast options and theyll make us mixed drinks... 8 am is our Happy Hour. Staff is awesome!!!

The hubby and I had breakfast here for the first time. Me being a foodie was very impressed with the menu. My hubs being a diner lover really enjoyed his steak and eggs. I ordered the crab cake benedict and it was honestly one of the best crab cakes Ive ever had. You can tell that the chef really takes pride in the food they are putting out. There is alot of thought on the menu/dishes being served. I cant wait to get back to this place and trying everything on the menu!

This visit was as incredible as the first, which was a leisurely luncheon with long-separated friends. This was Prime Rib Thursday, and three 12 oz primes literally disappeared off the plates. They customized a seafood pasta just for me. Dessert was simply indescribable-my family ordered it and oh! I wish I were a photographer. Doug is an attentive, efficient, personable server-his personality is a huge plus.

I ordered the Beef Shortrib dinner....it was so good. The meat just pulled apart and was very tasty. But the exceptionally fantastic part of the meal was the lightly coated fried triangles of grits. They were so delicious and I conveyed my comments to the server. I was told that they were freshly prepared on in house. I highly recommend stopping by this Cafe for a great meal!!

It was alright had to wait for a table to be cleaned and that took way too long the people was sitting there was gone for eight minutes before anybody started to cleaned it and in that time they seated for other people that came after we did and got two small table that was cleaned before the five people that got up from the table we findly got but after the waiter got over to us had to tell him three times want i wanted but when the food did get to us it was good dont know if I will go back on my own but my daughter wants to Ill go back with them

This place does not know what hollandaise sauce is. They have something that tastes and has the consistency of american cheese. My mom ordered a ham and cheese omelet that came without ham and with cheddar cheese as opposed to swiss as the menu states. The waitress is rude. Hollandaise is butter and lemon juice not american cheese!!! This restaurant is trying to be bougie however they dont even know what the ingredients they are claiming actually consist of. I dont cook and I cant even mess up hollandaise sauce. Furthermore apparently they apparently they dont know how to operate thier P.O.S. system. They charged to full bill and then had to refund in cash for the eggs with american cheese they call hollandaise sauce.

Top-notch food (breakfast/lunch/dinner offerings) beating out the vast number of Wilmington competitors. With a nice staff and 1950s Miles Davis and Stan Getz on the sound system one day it was a delightful experience.

I remember when they just opened, and I said I have got to try this place! Then, the shutdown! Well I finally got there on Tuesday. The place looks organized and clean, ready to safely serve! The staff was so friendly and the sandwich was great! The coffee was fresh and perfectly brewed, a great cup of coffee is sure bet that a cafe is doing all the right things! Be sure to support this business, they deserve every dollar we spend there!

Warm atmosphere, would go again.

We had breakfast there. We each had something different. Omlets, pancakes, eggs, French toast, hash browns, etc.. Everyone loved what they ordered. Go there. You wont be disappointed.

Amazing! I had seared tuna covered in a wasabi sauce and mango salsa with rice and green beans. Hands down, the most amazing green beans Ive ever had. Who raves about green beans? No one until now! Yummy!!

Stopped for lunch. Ate at counter/bar. Pretty good patty melt w/side of fruit. Has a bar & extensive breakfast menu. Not sure if thats offered all day. They also appear to have a limited dinner menu. Ill go back.
