Great bike hire shop, right on the 10.5 mile marker of the river mountain loop. They loaned me a bike in as new condition, were helpful showing me the route supplying a map and showing places to stop etc. Even gave me two bottles of water for the bike and a free soda when I dropped it back.The river mountain loop is a fantastic traffic route, with amazing views of the mountains, Vegas and lake mead. I took the recommended clockwise route to avoid the steep climb in the first few miles for the more gradual climb

My family and I rented the electric bikes for the 35 mile bike ride around River Mountain Loop Trail. We arent avid cyclists by any means so it was really helpful to have the battery assist going up the 9 mile long elevation gain. The fella at the shop was extremely helpful and gave us directions, a couple water bottles each, and even a free drink after. Make sure you grab a tube of sunscreen and a snack from there though if you dont already have one packed. Its a long ride in the hot sun.

My friends rented here and they were great. We ended up storing our ebikes here when our Lake Las Vegas rental ended and we decided to stay in Vegas 8 more days. Fantastic riding on River Mountain Loop and Wetlands Trail. Friendly, polite, and reasonable pricing. Great snack/drink selection for before or after ride, including some very tasty beef jerky. I will return next visit.

Cant say enough positives about River Mountain Bike Shop. They are friendly, knowledgeable, fun, caring and conveniently located right along the River Mountain trail. The ride is scenic, just long enough, challenging yet enjoyable. Highly recommend the eBikes!

BEWARE BEWARE The owner has serious anger management issues. Will yell and scream at customers not letting you present your side of any issue. Parked RV there and a issue arose. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. Could not reason with him as he would not listen to logic, or anything else. I felt in danger of physical violence as he screamed in my face then stormed around the back of the the shop slamming doors and throwing things. Was afraid of leaving RV but had no where else to move to that day. Found another spot and got out of there before my RV was damaged by this psycho. It really was very bad!!!

I love the river mountain bike shop. Darin is an amazing bike mechanic...I highly recommend him for major or minor repairs or just a tune up. Prices are fair and the parts are superior. Also check out his rentals both E bikes or regular ! The best !! I will continue to support Darin and encourage anyone reading this review to do the same, I promise you won’t be disappointed. Rented some bikes here to ride the beautiful River Mountains Loop Trail. The owner and staff were friendly and accommodating to my slightly awkward schedule. I rented both a mountain bike and a road bike. They both performed excellent and were reasonably priced. The services and trails offered here are both world class.

Found this gem by doing a search online. After some digging found this shop and picked due to location right on the 35 mile bike loop and the fact they had e bikes for rent that didnt require a group tour. We are not cyclists ourself unless you count peloton. The shop owner was very detailed about the trail and went over how to use the bike. Helmets included and he was able to give us extra seat padding. We have a great few hours on the trail and the bikes were amazing. They retail $3500 so they are not cheapies. The e assist was excellent on the steeper climbs on the way back and gave us more range to explore the sights than with a traditional bike. As long as you have some exercise capacity you can enjoy the trail with these bikes. After returning we were offered beer, drinks, snacks from the shop and got the run down on e bikes, would love to purchase one in the future.

These guys are the best!! We rented three bikes and road the River Mountain loop along with Hoover Dam historic railroad gravel trail. We rented the comfort bikes which were perfect for the combined paved and gravel trail. The bikes worked flawlessly and they provided helmets which really helped with packing for the trip. They even swapped out saddles for free so I could ride with a saddle I’m used to. We were delayed getting started and wound up getting back well after dark and their quitting time. They waited and made sure we were back safe and sound. It literally was the best experience I’ve ever had renting a bike.

Excellent bike shop. They really went above and beyond. I rented one of their comfort bikes and it was tuned perfectly. They swapped pedals and frame size for me without hesitation. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend.

We had a great experience with River Mountain Bike rental.   We rented E-bikes and loved it.   River Mountain Bike rental was very easy to work with.   They made sure we were all setup and that we were confident riding the E-bikes.  We went on the River Mountain Loop Trail which is 34 miles long, so he made sure that we had extra batteries.    We will definitely return to River Mountain Bike Rental if we are back in the Lake Mead area.

Awesome jerky, friendly staff and great bike rentals!

Chain broke while riding the trail. Called these guys and they said bring the bike right in. They installed a new chain on the spot and adjusted my gearings. They also made extra sure I had enough water. Quick service, nice staff, appreciate the social distancing, fair price and great service.

The owner is rude af. He blocked the entrance of the three kids mine so people pay him to park on his lot. It’s not about the $5 but this is not right. He also tells people that if you park on the by the entrance your vehicle will be towed. It’s a public place and who is gonna tow it? There is a place to park ! Such a shame.

5-star experience from start to finish. Rented a hybrid bike on-line a couple of months in advance of a conference I was attending in Vegas. Had a few questions prior to the trip and shop owner David was quick to respond, answering all of my questions in detail. The bike was tuned perfectly and ready to go when I arrived. David installed my pedals, a bike rack and trunk bag, offered water (I had brought my own) and made sure I didnt need anything else before heading out. Thoroughly enjoyed a beautiful sunny day on the trail and am very grateful to David and his mechanic for helping to make my experience a very enjoyable and memorable one. I will definitely be back to ride the River Mountains Loop Trail and will DEFINITELY start and end my day at River Mountains Bike Shop! Thanks guys! David - Ohio

Electric bikes were almost brand new, if you think its expensive, well you get what you pay for. Only thing is Dave could of lied and say he was a Tampa Bay Rays fan.

Wonderful experience! My husband and I went in not knowing the trail or how an ebike worked but we had such a fun day. The explanation of the trail system and map was all we needed, they explained how to ride the bike, change the battery and supplied us with water and helmets (and a free tube of sunscreen for my lips since I forgot mine!) They are located right on the bike path and you literally follow the dots out of the parking lot to the path. They haven’t forgotten a thing!!

You cant beat the location when you are going to ride the 34 mile River Mountain Loop trail. The guy at the bike shop has rode the trail personally and was happy to give advice. I grabbed some sports drinks and a few nutrition bars and was off to the trail with one of their Trek bikes. The bike made the ride so much easier than my normal older road bike! Quite a difference in the quality and ease of ride! The staff was very professional and knowledgeable and definitely showed they appreciate their customers!

Good quality bikes available for rent. The guys are very helpful getting you set up, even provide water. Some of good biking nearby in the Wetlands Park and Lake Nevada area.

Rented bikes to ride the River Mountains Loop Trail. 34 miles of paved trail with spectacular views and varied terrain. The shop had great new bikes for a good price. The owner was so helpful. Provided drinks, advice and was instrumental in the great ride. Another wonderful way to enjoy a vacation in Vegas.

I have rented road bikes all over the U.S., Europe and Asia and will say that this was the best ever. The bike was ready when I arrived and performed perfectly for the two days I had it. The owner was helpful with maps and directions and even threw in two bottles of water. I look forward to many return trips to this shop.

Great place to rent a bike. I dont go biking much, so I did the Wetlands Park trail. To get onto the trail, you first have to ride on the Lake Mead Parkway for a little while (a couple minutes). Aside from that, it was a nice relaxing bike ride. Note that the Wetlands Park is not very bike-friendly, so dont plan on checking out the park during the bike ride (its a great park and worth a separate trip, anyway).

My wife and I rented Hybrid bikes the first day and Road bikes the second day. The bikes were brand new 2019 Treks. The road bikes were high quality (carbon Trek Domane). We were provided complimentary drinks and a post ride refreshments. The owner gave us a discount for being return customers which was very nice of him. Being able to get on the trails right from the bike shop was a huge plus since we had a rental car. Definitely will use MRB again when we return!

Rented 3 e bike, bikes were in perfect shape, very clean. Rental shop is just near the trail .The staff very helpful and very friendly, great customer service, he gave us plenty of water to help us with the temperature ! And a lot of info.The loop had nice scenery even if sometimes it s a little boring. We had lunch in Boulder city, it took us 5 hours to do the loop but we took a lot of pictures !

Come to Las Vegas twice a year from Aspen to ride mountain and road bikes. Always end up doing the River/Mountain Loop which takes us past the shop. When in need weve always been taken care of. EXPERT MECHANIC!

I would not suggest renting from this shop. Myself along with other teammates were charged a higher price for a bike rental than the price we agreed on. Because we were on vacation we did not have many options so we paid the higher price. When we questioned the discrepancy we were either blown off or berated by the owner. After this experience I was happy to return to my LBS in Chicago where they treat their customers with respect and do not blow up at you when you ask a question.

It s a good place to relax, you can even buy fresh beers. The bike shop is very close to the trail. Darryn is very nice and a good worker, he helped me to fix my bike when I was in bike trip. Thank you so much

Rented great road bikes for 2 days this week. Great team there to get you set up for the River Mountain Loop.

Unfortunately, multiple members from our team got scammed by this shop. We were coming from Chicago and so agreed upon a price ahead of time and then when picking up the bikes, they were charged $50 more than we agreed upon. At that point, our trip was already booked and we were counting on them, so we had no choice if we wanted to ride so begrudgingly paid the overcharged price. Darryn said he would discuss with the owner David. I never heard back so after returning home, I gave David a call. All I had the chance to say was that some people were overcharged and that I was calling to make sure it was going to be taken care of. David immediately started berating me. When he paused, I asked him to stop yelling at me and give me a chance to talk. He claimed that he was from New York and this is how they did things and that hes a very good business man and that us Chicago people think we can do whatever we want and those were good bikes and on and on. I eventually had to just hang up. I know that sounds completely insane and it was. Ive never been treated like that in my life. If you dont believe me, I dare you to call him and simply state that you believe you were overcharged. This man is a bully and a scammer and I will never go back. We do this trip every year for the last 8 years. We previously used JTs bikes until JT retired. It was so amazing and makes me really appreciate JT and JTs bike shop.

Rented a rad Cyclocross bike there a year ago and rode the loop trail and around the area. Great price, equipment was new, raceable stuff, and it was in very good condition.

Do not go there! - I can only advise against this store! I left my bicycle there to have it pack for the return flight to Germany - this was my wife and me a price of 50 USD called. At the time of pickup then $ 110 were required and when I complained, the owner was also cheeky. To get my bike back, I had to pay more than double the agreed amount - pure rip off!
