I have been to this Pep Boys before and not had any issues. I was very disappointed when I took my car there recently. It started off bad from the first phone call. Guy answering (Phil) the phone was rude from the start and said I was being vague when trying to describe my issue with my car. (I also see another review here who says he is rude.) I was thinking to not even take it there after how rude he was and I wish I would have listened to my gut. The next day after he looks at it he wants to charge me a ridiculous price which after reviewing was well above the market value for the fix. He tells me that it was going to take a week to get the part in and he wanted me to pay half the cost of the fix for a deposit yet I wouldnt even get my car fixed for a week. When I told him I wasnt sure I wanted to do this, he tells me no matter where I go I am going to have to wait that long for the part. This was a lie because I took it somewhere else and got it fixed much cheaper and got it fixed the same day. Also, as I was getting off the phone with him and telling him I wasnt interested in him fixing this issue, he mouthed off to me again and says Well thats all you had to say in the first place. Which I am not sure what that even meant? Just overall poor experience. This man seriously needs to learn customer service skills.

Bought a new set of tires from them and couldnt be happier. Price was great, service was excellent and I only had to drop the vehicle off for a couple of hours. They were definitely fast and friendly.

When I first became a customer at this particular Pep Boys, I watched as the manager addressed an issue with a patron and then not charge her advising her that she needed to take her vehicle back to the prior dealership that she had taken it to and have them repair the problem properly. Over the next few months, I would take my car there for an oil change. When the pandemic hit, I lost my job and struggled financially. When it was way past time (+1,500 miles) to get my oil changed I took it to them. The cost of changing my oil seemed high at $60 and so I questioned it and was advised that I had always paid $60. I was told that I did not have to pay that time but next time it would be expected. I was grateful and my life turned around for the better. I found another job. When I went back to get my oil changed the next time, the cost was $40 which seemed like what I would pay for an oil change. I advised the different associate that I was charged $60 the previous time and that I was told I had always purchased the $60 oil change. She just shook her head. Its a good place to get your oil changed and I am thankful that the situation turned itself around.

Run from this place. Ive brought my car there several times hoping the next time would be better but I was wrong. Phil has a bad attitude and after leaving my car there all day, walked home because no one would call me a Lyft, I was told my car needed a part not in stock and I was quoted $500.00. I just spent $1900 on a car repair so couldnt afford this new cost. Phil told me Id change my mind when I saw the cost of new cars and his tone of voice was nasty. No way to treat a customer.

Ive been going to this Pep Boys for almost 25 years and Ive literally never had a problem there. Thats it. Kudos for being awesome.🤘😎

Ordered a set of tires from Amazon and had them delivered to this store. Did the my appointment through Amazon and two days later got a confirmation for my tires that ready for Saturday to be installed. Went in Saturday got them installed and also did an alignment. Overall really good customer service and was kept informed through the Pep Boys website. Thank you Phil and your team.

Manager was very friendly, he helped me (so did another employee) find a few things, but finding the perfect sunshade for my truck and my daughters was a plus!

We had a nail in our tire !! it was on Saturday around 5pmthey were like 5 mechanics there !!!and no one could it fix our tire !!!!!

I understand this is a mechanic shop and the workers are hardened, But Phil has by far the worst customer service I’ve ever seen, Thank god another worker came over to help. 2 stars because the other worker was nice.

Great place to go! I got a flat tire and I didnt know what to do. They were super helpful and the only ones around with the tire I needed. I even arrived late and they stayed late to make sure I had a good tire on my car. Best customer service. And super fast. Cant think these people enough!!!

This place is fantastic! I needed 1 tire replaced and they had it done in an hour despite being very busy and having to work in 111 degree heat. Price was very reasonable also. Great service!!!

Horrible Horrible Service, dont know how it has 4 stars on an average. Have tried and given this location multiple forgiveness (as its close to where I reside) but each time horrible experience. Staff dont communicate well and dont upkeep with their inventory. Last visit I specific asked for diesel oil change and when I got home I noticed they used regular motor oil. Had to take it to another place to have it done right-

If you dont ask, you dont get what you paid for! Scheduling an appointment means nothing in regards to the wait! I set an appointment for 10:30am. When I arrived they told me it would be 1 1/2 hours. I said, but I have a set time! Why so long?. Their managers response: We are allowed to schedule 5 appointments per hour, this means your time is the same as if you just showed up. I asked for the full synthetic oil change with the full service. When I asked about the tire rotation and balance the manager said oh, you want that?, my reply: well Im paying for it, I should get it. Pep Boys manager response; WELL, YOU HAVE TO SPECIFICALLY ASK FOR IT OR YOU DONT GET IT. I remarked that it was listed in the description of services rendered for that oil change that I paid for, and he said; EVEN THOUGH IT LISTS IT, IF YOU DONT SPECIFICALLY ASK FOR IT, WE WILL NOT PERFORM THAT SERVICE. Watch out for what you get from this place, even if you pay for it, you may not get it. I even had to mark my tires to make sure that they actually rotated them, which they did, but did NOT balance them, even though I asked for it. ~A

Dave at the Henderson, NV store was great. He went out of his way to look up and order a simple air hose attachment we were looking for. He is a huge asset to that store. Also, very pleasant! Thank you Dave for your great customer service!

My wifes battery died in her vehicle today and Dodge doesnt make it easy to swap out like most vehicles. So I called Pep Boys and spoke to a gentleman named Jimmy. Jimmy was great and helped me with the whole process of towing vehicle and getting my wife in and out in a very timely manner. I highly recommend them for any of your auto service needs. Came in for an $18 oil change and brought in my own full synthetic oil. Very friendly staff and did not try to sell me on anything. The staff inside the facility is also super friendly. If you find yourself having to wait an hour or so, there is a local coffee shop called Public Works Coffee Bar, just a 13 minute walk from this location.

I won’t ever go to this location or any location again. I brought my wife’s car in for an oils change, all the sudden it needs new rear struts. Ok, no problem. Get them replaced and bring the car home to see oil start leaking out all over the driveway. After $500+, take it to the dealer and it needs a new upper and lower oil pan, oil housing contraption and then again, an oil change. That’s $2800.00! Then I’ve have take my other car there for oil changes, each time asking how are the pads and to provide measurements on what is left so I know when they need to be changed. This is especially important because I have slotted and drilled rotors, all I ever get told was “enough” or “about half”, about two or three months later I get grinding when braking. Take it to the dealer, buying aftermarket pads, dealer brings me a rotor that is ground down to where about 1.5” in on the rotor, you can’t even see the slot! So NOW, $120.00 in aftermarket pads are going to be eaten up along with an additional need for new rotors and installation for the pads, AND a new set of rotors and pads when I bring the replacements in.EDIT... See the post by the owner. I did what they asked, still have yet to even get an acknowledgement!

I was able to make an appointment same day, which is a Saturday. Quick service, nice attendant. In and out within 1 and 1/2 hour.

Went there because I had a nail in my tire. Person at the service counter was quick and helpful. Dropped off the tire and didnt expect to hear from them til late in the day (experience I have with most shops always telling me my stuff is ready just before they close). Within 2 hours I got a call and it was done. Great service and great price for the fix.

See Cody for service. He got my mustang back on the road fast with a a/c compressor. They were cheaper then the mom and pop shops and the price we discussed was the price I paid. He didn’t try to hit me with weird up charges or additional fees and work. He did have the tech check my belt and shifter for me and they said I was good to go and no charge. I will be back.

I came in to patch a possible hole in my tire and the lady at the counter (Juana) was very pleasant and welcoming. And the mechanic (Lucas) was fast. Im a happy customer and would recommend anyone. (September 4th 2019) I came in to get my oil changed and Juana remembered my name and was able to get my car in very quickly. I am once again a VERY HAPPY customer.

I had to get a new tire to make it to my home state and the tire installer Lucas told me that the sensor will stay on for at leased 100 miles when I know myself that the sensor only needs at least 5 to 10 miles to relearn and reset itself but when I drove the 113 miles the sensor was still on and I called and Jason the manager told us we needed to get it checked out and have it scanned and so I went to discount tire and the guy at discount tire where we live told me that he read three of the four tires which he said that the sensor was not on and he even told us that we could tell by the amount of wiggle in the valve stem and when we brought it back to pep boys to get it fixed the right way Thad the tire guy at that time told Lucas the sensor was not on and that he could even tell there was no sensor due to the wiggle of the valve stem. I will never come to pep boys for anything ever again I will let my tire blow before they touch it again.

Jimmy is my favorite person! He has great customer service skills and I never have to worry about being ripped off. The staff is great and always do an excellent job. Juana and Phil have excellent customer service skills as well. I literally won’t take my car anywhere else or to a different pep boys. You guys ROCK!!!! Thanks for everything!

I just moved to the Henderson area and needed the oil changed in both my wife and my vehicle. I am not much of a review reader but my wife is. She says, Find a place to get the oil changed, and then read the reviews on the place to see if it is somewhere we want to go. So I did. The Pep Boys on Boulder Highway had 2 reviews at the time, one really good, and one kind of bad. We chose to use this location because of the better review. After getting the oil changed in my truck (using the online coupon for a 19.99 oil change) I was very impressed with the service, knowledge, and professionalism of the staff. I liked the service so much that I made another appointment for my wifes 4Runner the same day. While I was in line to work out the particulars for getting her oil changed, there was a couple in front of me. They were having an alignment issue on their vehicle and needed immediate maintenance. The Boulder Highway location was not able to assist them at the moment due to high volume of work and immediately started calling other locations to find them the help that they needed. To me, that was VERY professional and ultimately EARNED my business from now on. Pros- very professional staff (if they cant fix it, they will find someone that can), friendly, deliberate, helpful, and caring.Cons- I cant think of a reason not to use this business. If you read the bad review before mine, they must have gotten rid of the bad seed that caused that delay because these guys are good.

Notable, went in for windshield wipers and found what I needed but only wanted to make sure. I did not receive help. So, I left. Ill just stick with Walmart. Sooooooooooo ended up overcharging my ac yesterday. Living in Vegas I could not go a day with out AC! We took it to Pep Boys in hopes for the free ac check which didnt happen. We had to come back early today day. But after 40 minutes past our appointed time my car was done. They drained the ac and recharged it so it works better then before! Thank you so much!

Had an oil change done. Pretty painless experience. I called when they opened and was back home within 30 minutes or so. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Cost was decent. Always check for there downloadable or text coupons.

They seem to do a good job and theyre friendly. Schedule an appointment with them for anything you want them to do on your vehicle, even a simple oil and lube job as they are almost always very busy and not super quick. Also be sure to shop prices for anything beyond an oil change as I can not speak to their quality or value for larger work.

I never seen anything this slow there was nobody waiting and they took over an hour and a half to change my oil on the diesel truck. Its a very slow business, try elsewhere. They seem helpful though just slow and once i had annoying encounter with one of the associates as well, not sure he is still working there.

Good place normal prices for items. Reason getting 3 stars is because I went in to buy an air filter for my car. I talked to the lady behind the counter and she told me she placed the order for me and it would be in the next day. When I went back the next afternoon they didnt have a record of the order. Eventually they got the filter, but that shouldnt have happened.

I came in for a minor issue of the sun visor on the passenger side being broken . You know they could have told me a needed a whole new everything.. you know how it can be sometimes, but no, no, no! Matt was fabulous and looked at my car right away and told me it could be fixed with epoxy. He did say if it did not work, may need to replace a part, but this should work. I was out of there in the next 15 minutes and paid for the cost of the tube of epoxy. Matt, provided great, honest and quick service. Thanks bunches!

Placed an order for a new battery since my car wouldnt start, when i went to pick it up I had them test my old battery just in case. They said my battery was fine and it was probably my starter which i could purchase there for $140. Paid a mechanic for a house call since I woildnt be able to change the starter at home on my own. Mechanic says its not the starter its the battery, to which i say I just had them test it and it was fine. He tests it with his own tools, a mechanic bill and a week of taking an uber to work later i got a new battery and car is fixed.

Clerk gave me a generous military discount helped me save $ on my air conditioner repair. Vegas temps over 104 & I was taking my friends cat to her sisters, because she was in the hospital in ICU. Unexpected and very necessary repair. I saved a lot of money and time.

Who would have thought Pep Boys would be the best auto repair facility I have ever used (Im 65 years old). I took my 2004 VW New Beetle to them a year ago because they would honor my warranty I had bought. The small VW shops wouldnt. So I thought, Well, Pep Boys is close by, so why not?They did a perfect job at a reasonable price. Jared, Greg, Matt and the whole team are the best customer service people I have ever seen.So here I am back again two weeks ago and things hadnt changed, thank goodness. Same people, same great service. Jared worked with me and the warranty company to get the best deal on repairs for ME!!! A sign of true excellent customer service. The customer comes first.Keep up the good work, guys!!!!

My new favorite place to get parts and my oil changed

I came here to get my power steering fluid changed on my 2012 Jetta. It took about two hours and they charged less than half the price of what the dealer was asking. Their maintenance prices overall are significantly cheaper than the dealership. They have definitely won my business.

Charge me a $150 in labor And they were only 15 minutes! They said they charge a $110 an hour for labor OK thats fine but no one there was certified!

Not happy a little over a week ago brought my wifes 2000 Ford Taurus in because the AC was blowing hot air. The work order stated they did a complete evaluation of the AC System and determined that a new Compressor was the answer to my problem total cost $1161.99 Today 8 days later the problem started again(blowing hot air ) now I am told need a Suction and Discharge Assembly cost $193.49 asked why not covered Andy really could/would not explain at this point told him to refund my extended warranty that I never asked for to begin with and he did . if a complete evaluation of the AC was done why was this not caught ?? because it is difficult to reach ???? I will be talking to the Store Manager about this.

If you want to get ripped off youll have your automotive repairs done here! I had my water pump replaced in Nov. of 2015. I go in to find out that it needs to be replaced again according to them. Get this. The water pump has a lifetime warranty on the part but the service doesnt. The service came out to $288 dollars -- gets better. They will waive the service fee if i have them work on another job that they suggested (the air condenser) for $1100. I told them just give me my part that is warrantied and they refused. I only get the part if they do the work. The other hilarious crap is the itemized list of repairs. Replacing the thermostat for $124.00 -- unbeknownst to them i replaced that myself for $25-30 dollars this last month at OReillys. Who knows what else shady extra charges they have added to estimate. I have complained to corporate and I again reiterate. If you want to get ripped off-- have PEP boys do the work. Be careful of DAN! Super nice... dont be fooled! Acts like hes giving you a great deal... NOPE! Was it because I was a women and I can be easily fooled? BIG MISTAKE PEP BOYS! Update: Had a mechanic look at the itemized bill I received from Pep Boys -- Do your homework on what parts and service costs. Lets just say they gouged me on service and parts. Put in refurb / cheap after market part and charged me tipple what was appropriate. The auto shop Im having the work done has quoted me half the amount for both water pump and compressor. Saving me $500-600. Plus i will not pick up my water pump that was 100% warrantied at Pep Boys because they were so shady and I want nothing to do with them other then to warn consumers of their highly questionable customer service and price gouging! Just in case you dont know what price gouging is: Price gouging is a pejorative term referring to when a seller spikes the prices of goods, services or commodities to a level much higher than is considered reasonable or fair, and is considered exploitative, potentially to an unethical extent.

Usually I have to forge my own way. Here I needed replacement headlight bulbs and the associate quickly took care of everything.

Super staff and I got a quick oil change. I thought there was something wrong with my car, but they put my mind at ease and took care of things for me.

Paid for a suspension inspection. The mechanic did not find the problem. A different shop did. Service managers were arrogant know it all that nickel and dime charges on top of $105+/ hr. Service fee for simple work.

I paid for a complete engine check and was told they couldnt find any issues, only to overheat and blow a transmission 15 minutes up the road. It took a Ford technician all but 5 minutes to find that my radiator was plugged. What a waste of money!

They had good prices on the items I needed.

Took my work truck in for service asked for oil change and tire rotation per manual recommendations. Picked truck up told tire rotation was not done because the were fine I explained that was not what I asked for service guy was condescending. Any way get back to my shop and check air pressure different in every tire, not close to spec and one tire did not even have a cap on it. Front tires had a 10lb difference between tires. Ok, I will call and they will make it right (like I run my business), wrong, guy was a complete jerk. Thats my experience, just so you know.
