I’ve have used this company several times in several houses over the years. Today they installed some hardwood flooring in my home and once again they did a beautiful job. These guys never disappoint me. They were very friendly, professional and did an amazing job!

Had New Horizon carpet install carpet in our home scheduled for January 2, 2014. At 0905 in the morning, ONE person came to install carpet in three bedrooms and the connecting hallway. When I came home from work at 4 pm, the installer was still working on two rooms and the hallway, with only the master bedroom complete. I was angry, and drove to the showroom. The gentleman that sold us the carpet was there and told me to my face that I was LUCKY that they had sent me their best installer, and that he liked to work alone. He then told me that we have no contract in writing, and that he never told me that it would be done in one day. I asked for a discount for the inconvenience, and he laughed at me stating that he had given me a rock bottom price for that carpet. The price was not that bad, and the installer, after staying until 630 pm that night, and close to four hours the next day, the carpet installer did an awesome job. I will not be purchasing carpet from this store ever again just because of the attitude of the old man who sold me the carpet. My wife and I are completely for trying to spend our hard earned dollars at local retailers, but never again at this store. Rude, with no loyalty to their customers.Update..... On December 2, 2014, Ken, the owner, contacted my wife to find out what the problem was that we had, and try to resolve it. I returned his inquiry later that afternoon by phone. Ken was extremely apologetic for what took place, and asked what he could do in order to make things right. I explained to him that it had been almost one year, and as far as I was concerned, the matter was water under the bridge. Ken was insistent on making things right, and I told him that at the time, a refund of $50.00 for the inconvenience and disrespect I suffered at the hands of the salesman would have been sufficient. We talked for a bit longer as Ken continued to apologize for taking such a long time to make things right. He then talked about giving us a gift certificate to go out to dinner or something like that, and assured me that we would be hearing from him and his company to make things right. I am not going to get into specifics, but today I received in the mail something very generous from the company that changes my mind about the loyalty they feel towards their customers. I will now recommend them to anyone and everyone I know that is in need of carpet or other flooring options. If you have a legitimate problem, make sure you contact the owner Ken, and he will do his best to make you a repeat customer.

We had just bought a home in Hemet which needed all new flooring but I was having a hard time deciding on which product to go with. Garrett in the showroom was ever so helpful. He explained the price differences between tile, carpet and vinyl plank as well as the durability of each. We ultimately decided on vinyl plank and he helped us reduce our choices down to 2. We were desperate for the old carpet to be torn out as it was stinky and nasty with old dog urine and the temperature was well over 100F every day! So the next day the owner and his son showed up for the measuring and gave us the quotes within minutes. They too helped us in our final selection and amazingly didnt try to convince us that the higher priced one would be better. Once they saw the condition of the existing carpet, they went over to where their installer was doing a job, and called us back within minutes to say that the old carpet would be torn out tomorrow (Saturday). The next morning Ron (the installer and ripper outer) got busy and by early afternoon had all the old carpet and tile gone!! No more nasty smell. We then coordinated installation around our painting schedule. It took 2 days to install, and the guys were very polite. The vinyl plank looks great. As for Cost, I had also been working with C&C carpet and New Horizons were $1,000 lower, plus they really went out of their way to accommodate our predicament. I highly recommend them for all your flooring needs.

When New Horizon agreeded to travel the distant they did for estimate, I thought great a company hungry for business, Ill use it as a bargaining chip. Was I surprised to have father and son team Rick and Richard doing the estimate themselves, within minutes it was clear i had over 4 decades of knowledge at my disposal, and it was there personal attention to servicing there neighbors, which has made them a land mark business in Hemet. lacking a true sense of decor in what is in style and accepted in the real estate market (you people should have seen the colors i first picked out, thanks Liz at home depot hemet, you saved the day) or what was even available, the insightfull questions regarding the use, and look, as well as with past issues regarding floor covering, enabled me to make choices that have added functionality, and beauty to my home. And then began theconstruction issues that were dealt with in such an accommodating way,it was so helpful almost like they were the only ones willing to work with me, a huge burden lifted from my array of issuses. I was surprised at the level of craftmenship from the entire installation crews, when you see the pride they take in the job well done,matched with great quality products, is truly a winning combination, and i had tile,flooring, and carpet installed, not a hiccup. Im walking barefoot in my house for the first time. Thanks New Horizon

Had a great experience with New Horizon Carpet today. I just needed a remnant for a couple of cat condo scratching posts. I could not find any place in the Temecula/Murrieta area where I live who sold remnants so I drove to Hemet. Even though I only wanted a remnant Benny treated me as though I was carpeting my whole home. He even gave me a discount because I had traveled the distance. If I ever do carpet my home, that is where I will go.

Using New Horizon was the absolute worst decision and worst day of my life!!! We used them on May 27 2016 and They out and out lied to us and when confronted with the lie and the obvious mistake, they resorted to name calling and making ultimatums!....They have a history of taking advantage of seniors!!!!!Richard Jr. Lied to us on 5 separate occasions and Rick Sr also lied to us, BUT more about Rick Sr. in a second!My name is Bill Gianakos I am 58 years old and you can find me on Facebook or email me at (THEY WONT LET ME USE IT)....I give you this information so that you can have a real person to talk to when asking about how I was treated!!!...and I am writing this 5 days later because I didnt want to write this in anger!!Richard Jr was asked on 5 separate occasions whether the rug could be installed when the tile is 1 1/4 inches high and on every occasion he said yes. We called him up and several occasions to once again make sure because we were being told different things and on EVERY occasion he insisted that they are trained professionals (LOL) and can easily do that!When the installer came in he immediately said it could not be done and when I called New Horizon and talked to Richard he all of sudden started to back track and started trying to say :I never actually saw it when I explained to him that he didnt have to see it that I gave him the measurements, he repeatedly would say. well, I did not actually see it and then I measured it in front of the installer and it came to the exact 1 1/4 inches I had told him for the past 5 weeks!!!!....He continued to back track and just say he didnt see it!!!!NO good ideas came forward from these so called professionals (LOL) NOTHING was offered to help in fixing this problem ...Then Richard Jr just hung up leaving us dumbfounded as what to do!!!Then Rick Sr. called up and started calling me names and my wife names and told us to take it or leave it knowing we were moving in the next day. I was flabbergasted. I have NEVER been treated in this manner and VERY badly wanted to walk out and find a legitimate carpet co but my wife was scared about not having a rug in when we moved in, so we gave in to his ultimatums....I have NEVER seen a more unprofessional and rude business in my life. The UNBELIEVABLE and UNNECESSARY and UNWARRANTED name calling was beyond rude and I wish there was a way to have some recourse!!!I look back and wish I had trusted my instincts....I had asked them about the bad reviews and they very nicely explained them away.....That is why I am giving you the information to actually get in touch with me....There is no way to nicely talk away how they treated me.....They knew they made the mistake, the VERY obvious mistake and they still acted so INCREDIBLY rude to us and NEVER, NEVER even tried to offer a solution OR even offered ANY money back so that we could at least fix THEIR MISTAKE!!!!!Once again my name Is Bill Giankos and I am a real person who went through hell with these Jerks!!! I will write several other reviews on various sites and also report them to the Hemet Better Business Bureau and I wish I had other recall resources!!!
