I went for the first time this week. I had heard positive things about it beforehand, but even still was surprised at how pleasant the dining experience was. I ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo and was impressed at the quality and richness of the flavours. The restaurant was Covid safe, they checked our vaccination properly, there are plenty of barriers and customers were nicely spaced out. Service was polite and helpful. I will recommend it for my friends who are looking for a casual dining experience with excellent food.
Its always good to come here.The food is delicious, the place is clean and spacious and the staff is friendly. They also have a nice patio outside. Today, our food took a little longer than we expected but its understandable since weve ordered chicken souvlaki and it takes time to cook. It was worthy the wait. Absolutely delicious. 💯
We arrived around 10 on Sunday and goodthing too as within 30 minutes the line was outside the door. Covid guidelines followed on entry. The menu is varied and hearty portions. Staff very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. We did not feel rushed so were able to spend time chatting after we finished. This will not be the last time we eat here.
I did not catch the name of the person who assisted us that day but she did an outstanding job. First she offered the patio since I cannot download my certification of covid vaccine we cannot dine in, Second her service was excellent by checking on us every now and then since we were at the patio, Lastly her honesty. Thank you for your service and please continue doing a great job.
Absolute top notch service and the food is delicious! I had the chicken fettuccine alfredo and it was delectable. The garlic bread is outta this world. This was a journey that my taste buds savoured!
First time we went here and we LOVED the food! We got the Caesar Salad, John’s Famous Pasta and Chicken Souvlaki. All of which tasted great! Sammy helped us today and she was the friendliest, most caring server ever!
We ordered several different options for lunch today, and it is all was very good. Kids portions were very big. Salad was fresh and tasty. I did not like the rice though. Servant was very attentive and friendly. I ordered chicken putanesca, the piece of chicken breast was so big, I could not even finish it. They really cook with love . Definitely I will come again.
It was my first time visiting this breakfast place. I wasn’t impressed by overall management as I had to wait for 20 minutes in the line up to get in but the food compensated everything - It was definitely worth the wait.We ordered Avocado Benedict, which was their meat less twist to traditional eggs benny and it was phenomenal.We also ordered blueberry pan cakes which were absolutely above average. No complaints regarding prices and portions too. It’s a bang for the buck.They could add couple more servers on the floor though considering how busy the place is.Overall I highly recommend John’s family restaurant.
2.5 hours from start to finish for breakfast. Once finally seated took food order prior to drinks. Ordered coffees and waters, we only received coffees. Food arrived, typical breakfast, decent. Werent given any cutlery or napkins so after waiting we just grabbed our own from the bar. When asked for more coffee was given half a cup since they ran out. Asked for bill which took almost half an hour.The service was so poor you couldnt just sit there and not laugh at what was going on.
My bf and I wanted to start off my birthday by taking me here where we enjoy their crab cake Benedict. Usually if you order the small for yourself (which comes with two crab cakes and home fries), it fills you up till dinner time. However, we wanted to share one large (which comes with three crab cakes) and eat again for lunch and dinner.The waitress told us that if we were to share a meal, they’d have to charge us $5.00 extra. Meaning that each of us had to buy something, otherwise they’d charge us $5.00 more if we wanted to share a meal. This was the first time I’d ever heard of such a condition at a restaurant.Recently restaurants like these have made it so much more difficult to order during COVID-19. My bf and I were able to afford two dishes, but what about those who can’t and prefer to enjoy one meal together. It’s a pathetic rule, and I don’t think I’ll be coming back here.
Customer Service is by far amazing. I think we have found our new breakfast spot. Havent tried the souvlaki yet but we will definitely the next time we are there.
Awesome restaurant for brunch / breakfast ….. or really any meal! I love the eggs Benny. On weekends it is super busy so be prepared to wait for a table during brunch time. Portions are huge. Bring your appetite! Prices are fair. Most of the time service is good and attentive (have been there when they are short staff and although they try there is a lot more waiting for food and service) and the staff are super friendly.
We have ordered from here numerous times and have never been disappointed, and Im super picky! We often get breakfast so tonight we tried some of their Greek food and it was TO DIE FOR! Thank you for feeding us well 💖

Great service, short time wait for food and excellent friendly staff. I have to give the waitresses credit for the way they dealt with a group of three males that intent on giving them a hard time, they were being complete as**ole. They were very rude to the staff and very disturbent to the other customers, including myself. I recommend johns to anyone because of the friendly atmosphere and delicious food.
We walked in. There was a waiting time of about 20 min as the the place is fairly crowded. The food was utterly delicious and worth the wait. We ordered salmon stuffed omelette and pancakes. Food was served hot. Giant portions and awesome presentation of food. Very filling. The customer service could be a little faster though. The breakfast just made our day !
John’s is the best in every way. Fantastic food and service every time. John’s Famous Pasta is my go-to. There’s not a better pasta dish in all of Brampton (or the GTA?). Great menu, a little something for everyone and you can tell everything is made with care and quality ingredients.

I went there twice in 1 day.First for breakfast at around 1. Then for some munchies after work and a beer.Food was dope. It belongs in rehab.Staff was also extremely good and courteous.Im definitely going to go back at the next opportunity.

This place was easy to find in comparison to where our hotel was. Roughly 20 minutes away. First impression when we arrived was how packed the place was. We had to wait for a table, but it didn’t seem that long of a wait. The food was delicious. Worth every minute of waiting. Our server was polite and funny. She was helpful in deciding what to eat here. Was discrete with topping off our drinks and making sure we were good with condiments and other things. The place is nice and serene, clean restroom and environment. Awesome stop for some brunch!
Food was good. Service was slow. They had too many calls for take out orders and pick up. Hard to get our waitress attention. Glad the business is doing so well.

It was nice food other than my omelette came and after a couple bits into it. I started notice a crunch when I was eating my omelette. I found out the whole omelette had broken egg shells in it. Worry just check your omelettes or eggs product when you order them there.The waitresses were nice. We didnt have to wait long for the food. Nice surroundings, atmosphere. They just have to be more careful prepping the food.
Been here several times...great portions. Thank God they have older servers as the younger ones are not very attentive and forget things.I ordered pickup and the girl put 3 heavy dinners in 1 bag and 1 light dinner in another. As I was about to mention we should split them up, a senior staff made her fix it. Experience makes a difference. Will keep going back

Im writing another review because I just had too. Johns Family Restaurant never disappoints me with there absolutely mouth watering plates to there outstanding servers and very clean environment. Its usually very busy in the mornings but definitely worth the wait. I highly recommend to try this restaurant if you havent yet!

Food proportions were perfect. Food was so delicious. I had the Salmon and vegetable patter. Perfectly cooked; Salmon, beets, zucchini and asparagus. The service was great. Wick service as well. Also, I had the calamari that was also perfect with a little green leaf salad on the side. I would definitely go back and recommend to everyone to try.
Went before covid and enjoyed it so much but since it opened up again I been twice and it wasn’t the best experience.. the first time was on the patio which is very nice I really enjoyed and the food tasted good but the rice was VERY uncooked, also our waitress wasn’t the best we got more help from the other waitress who wasn’t even our host!Second time I went was for breakfast.. it was horrible the eggs were wet and uncooked, the menu said it came with fresh fruit and when I asked about it the waitress said because of covid there’s no fruit.. I ordered a coffee and the waitress forgot about.. I’m not sure if I would come back
Ordered the chicken souvlaki for lunch - really good portions. Chicken and rice were cooked really well and the salad with dressing is a refreshing. Love supporting local businesses - try this one out.

I would give this 10 stars if I could! THE BEST breakfast place ever. I’ve always got the spinach and egg Benedict with tomatoes added and omg, my mouth is watering as I type this. The best Benedict’s you’ll ever get!! I’ve tried a lot of other places but they don’t even compare close to Johns! Their gravy for fries is also amazing! I’m so glad I started coming here. Don’t let the outside fool you, the place is great, service is amazing and the egg benefits are delicious!
This place has been around and its a sin to not be here. They have along waiting list on the weekends cuz...everyone whose been here craves to be back again 😀. I think we ordered club chicken sandwich and to our bewilderment it came with a ton of fries and like a zillion pieces of bread. But man was it satisfying, not to mention the unlimited coffee top ups which you definitely need to wash down the gorgeous food! This place is a no braner and you could never go wring with this. The 5th star is missing because I had to wait, its high time they should gobble up some real estate.
Service was 2/10. Food and Portions were 7/10. If go back, but clearly no effort on training staff. 6 staff members chatting and doing menial tasks while twice we had to flag them down for attention to get a refill or order something. Cold and rude staff as well. First time... last time.

One of my favourite breakfast/brunch places to go in Brampton. I prefer this place better than Denny’s and Cora’s. The restaurant is clean and tidy. It doesn’t feel like dirty like most breakfast places in the city.The staff are super friendly and the food tastes great. Most places I order sunny side up eggs from end up being too runny, but these eggs were just right. The portions are also huge for the price!The atmosphere was more of a family-friendly environment and serves lunch and dinner options as well. I personally prefer having brunch here instead.
Salmon eggs benedict was great. Loved that they offered a small and large choice. The meals are large portions and all reasonably priced. The patio section was nice and shaded as well.
Waited for an hour people whom showed up after us were seated first despite a table for my exact group size (4) and it took us anthe 20 minutes to be asked for our orders. Worse theyre were bees inside and people took off theyre shoes and had bare feet. The service was terrible. I once loved this place and it has gone down hill as Im typing ths its taken 20 more minutes we got our order taken. After the food came some of the meals were cold. And also the wrong item SMH I will not return the coffee was burnt and the holendaise was separated our server came to us 2 and both times we had to ask her over tl:Dr bad service, bad food

The food is excellent at Johns! Portions are large. Prices are very reasonable. The menus posted on the website are old and not updated. They should reflect what is currently available. Whatever dinner item that I get I can never finish. They have only take out now.
We started out on a beautiful Saturday summer morning looking forward to breakfast at this restaurant that we found with good google reviews as a first family breakfast out since COVID started over a year ago. One of my sons wanted to try something new and it was between this place and AJs restaurant. So we chose Johns family restaurant. We were seated quickly and thats when things went downhill....no greeting came since we were seated, no menu, no water, no cutlery/napkins, just plain nothing; no glances our way to say will be with you in a moment; everything else was happening all around us. We were patient after it happened once where staff (of which there were at least 6 waitresses that we saw for what seemed like a small restaurant); When 2 sets of tables that had been seated after us received attention, menu etc. I got up and told my family quietly, thats it. I am leaving. So without a backward glance, I left the restaurant, soon to be followed by my 3 sons. They told me their dad asked to see the manager. My husband explained to the manager what happened and he apologized and asked him to stay, but we had already left. He said he hired lots of girls and none of them took responsibility and only looked at each other. My husband said he would have understood if it was due to COVID but the manager said he had hired enough waitresses but none of them had an explanation. It was an unfortunate experience since I was so looking forward to all of us enjoying being together for a meal, because my boys had finished summer school and my husband had been working nonstop and decided to take a day off today. I wanted to give an honest review without any emotional comments because I didnt want it to be about race. Sadly, it was very obvious that all of the other patrons were Caucasians who were served before us. We of course are a visible minority. I will let you come to your own conclusions or not...Happy to state that we then went to AJs restaurant and had excellent service and food!

My wife and I usually get the Mediterranean salmon with veggies and rice. Always fresh and delicious. We tried their crab cakes and they were also flavourful, although Im not sure if its cooked using real crab. Today we tried their steak with mashed potatoes and veggies and it was tasty, albeit the steak was a little overcooked for medium well. No complaints there because everything else made up for it! The gravy was especially good.

Sunday morning say 1040 am . Line to get in 25 min. We assumed by that line that it be worth it.Host was nice and came instantly when we sit down. Food came in about 25 min more.By now people in line are told 45 min wait.Food came and yay but mine was cold not room temperature but cold but I was so hungry I ate it . They offered to change it but I did not want to wait . Eggs are ok, pancakes nothing special but my partner enjoyed the Hercules breakfast. I liked it but not worth wait . Sorry
Decided to support local and try out John’s for breakfast take out!I was so impressed by the overly nice staff. I Ordered 2 omelettes, they were ready impressively fast, the portions were huge, and very reasonably priced. I will definitely be going back!Change your routine and try out John’s for breakfast!
Great restaurant. Food is tasty and portions are generous. Staff are friendly. Prices are fair. Restaurant is clean. Lots of space to sit with booths by the window and tables in the center. All round good value.

EDIT: June 2018The place really let their standards go. All the great things about the place is no longer the case. Chicken is so dry and over cooked, I can’t even cut it with a knife.I will not go here anymore even tho it’s a 2 min walk from my place. It’s really sad.Original review:Always great dining at John’s. Friendly staff and good service. The food is actually really good. Breakfast sausages are juicy and melt in the mouth. Order chicken slovaki. My friend has always recommended Johns. My son has eaten here before and also recommended it. We were 5 people today for breakfast and sat on the patio. Service was very good and friendly. Food quality was wonderful. It took a while for the food to arrive but seeing the presentation and portion sizes and quality and the fact that the patio was full, I understand the wait. Ive enjoyed other Brampton breakfast spots but this may just be my familys new favourite spot. Good job Johns!
