Did a reservation online pay for everything didn’t get a confirmation or nothing had to go up to the storage place in find out that nothing went through I ask the manager what should I do how can I get my refund. But I needed the storage so I had to do everything all over again I was mad but James what so helpful and apologetic in pretty much explained everything to me that I did not understand thanks James for all your help yesterday even doe he was in so much pain he push through with it great guy

I am still waiting for my refund. It been a month, and they decided they would mail it, to the addy i moved from. I told the lady via chat and she said she would change it before they mailed it. Guess she didn’t. They probably mad because my reason for not needing the unit was uhaul was cheaper. Uhaul is better though, my first month was free with a truck, which i did need. Im still waiting for a refund from public storage on a unit I never even used.

It was quite easy to setup my reservation online and even pay for my storage unit and get everything ready for me to move my things in quickly I even got insurance on my things an Easy way to open the gate with there new app hade 1 little issue in finding where my unit was other than that no other problems I recommend public storage to all my friends and family

My experience at the Public Storage on 173rdHalsted was awful. They tried to get me to pay for the month of April knowing that I moved out in the middle of March and the property manager or one of their employees refused to look to see when I used my gate code last. I will never go there again. They kept on calling me and emailing me.

They went up on my rent !! WHY !! Im already paying way too much for the space Im in.......🤬

Had a military account, they cut my lock off anyway. Now I have to purchase another lock. They attempted to auction my things and I was only delinquent two months. Highly recommend if you’re military, don’t store your things here. They claimed to have contacted me about proof of my military status to which when I opened my account, my ID was sufficient. Clerk gave me a letter the day I showed up to get into my storage with a letter that again I never received about me proving my military status which I didn’t know was of question. If you have an option to store your things on base, do it. It’s not guaranteed safe with this business.

Nina was amazing! She was very knowledgeable about products as well as being able to advise us on the appropriate size storage unit! She was very courteous and efficient!

I must say that the overall experience in its entirety has been disappointing. If it was not such a costly hassle, I would definitely leave them for U-Haul. I had a particular issue come up and I just believed that how it was handled was unfair to me as a customer and it appears to be another form of getting the most bang for their customers bucks because in the end, it cost me more than double. I spoke with Ebony and she did not have the authority to resolve it, so I then spoke with the Director and I would go so far as to say that he was not willing to work to resolve it based on customer satisfaction. We played telephone tag a couple of times, but after his last return call, I called him twice and he never even attempted to return my calls from that point. I eventually tried a week later and a couple of days later, we finally connected and that too was a disappointing experience. I plan to pursue the matter further.In all fairness, I must add that my experience with Ebony was good. She gives great customer service, was professional and knowledgeable. I recently spoke to Yolanda due to another issue surfacing and she resolved the matter professionally.I am a reasonable person and know that retail in all its forms is probably one of the most difficult jobs to perform because customers can be rude and demand unreasonable request, but this is just not that kind of story. Knowing that, this review has been well thought out and I have made every effort to be consistently fair, but considering that I am a new customer and how my issues were addressed, I can say that I would not do business with them again. If I could give a minus star, I would. They are not a company with integrity.

On a day of a predicted twelve inches of snow and below freezing temperatures, I was greeted by Yolanda. She greeted me on a first name basis, upon arrival, a rare gesture these days in the world of customer service. It was quite evident that Yolanda is an experienced customer service guru. Not only was Yolanda very helpful, but she guided me in the slushy, snowy grounds, in her classy Public Storage four wheeler to two units to ensure that I would be satisfied with the needed space. Every opportunity Yolanda got she went the extra step above, sweeping the unit upon arrival to ensure that the cleanliness of the unit met the top notch expectation. Yolanda was quite personable and truly had a joyful spirit; you could tell quickly that Yolanda loves and appreciates her job and the customers that she serves. The East Hazel Crest Public Storage location is truly blessed to have an employee like Yolanda who doesnt miss a beat. Im pleased that I made the decision to come to this location and look forward to our business relationship, for the duration of needed service. **My one point of feedback is that the company consider putting an arrow or sign outside on Halsted street that will notify prospective customers of the access road leading to the location. After going around the property twice and twenty minutes later I realized that the off the beaten path road is the way to the storage location. For ease and a hassle free experience this would be very helpful.

Being a stickler for service, Im usually not impressed by individuals unless they go above and beyond for the customers/clients, and i must say Ebony did just that. Amazing front of house personality, very professional and wise of the industry and sales, however down to earth and uniquely personable. She has truly exceeded my expectations and I would sincerely recommend public storage to anyone based on her performance. They say that first impressions truly count, and she left a lasting one with me, and I will be forever grateful.

Public storage in east hazel crest Rocks!!!!! The staff was friendly, approachable and ready to help in anyway possible. Yolanda exuberated customer service skills that will make me tell all my friends and family about this place. She was patient and answered all of my questions without hesitation. She gave me prompt follow-up and called the next day to ensure my move in went well. Customer service is very important these days and having someone like Yolanda managing the business is a plus for Public Storage!!!!! Also the location was very clean.

A joke of a place got here at 10:25 only 55 minutes into the place opening and associate left and stating on the sign she would be back at 10:30 and it is now 10:54 and shes not back a joke of a place not even an hour into their shift and they are gone.

My most recent visit to this facility (5/29/16) was well worth revisiting as I purposefully set out to do business with Ebony. She was very professional, instrumental, and knowledgeable in making sure I received the best service possible by upgrading yhe very last unit that appeared impossible to secure b/c the system was tied up. However, Ebony was very instrumental and knowledgeable of the system and was able to secure the unit! I was very impressed with her tenacity in making sure I got the unit and I did!! I recommend you see Ebony at the East Hazel Crest facility youll be pleased you did!Ebony is an excellent manager. Although Id made reservations for assigned unit, I walked into the office with some uncertainties. Ebony took the time to go over into details what my options would be based on items to be stored. I really appreciated her knowledge and service to detail. I left the office feeling less stressed knowing what I need to do. In addition, another employee (Jessica) was just as helpful with her politeness and service with a smile.

DeniseI visited the Public Storage facility in East Hazel Crest, IL. Yolanda was phenomenal. She exhibited excellent customer service skills and was concerned with my needs in making sure I have adequate room to store my furniture. Yolanda was also very efficient in expediting the paperwork in a timely manner. The facility was very clean and all packing accessories were available to meet customers needs. Without hesitation, I would recommend this location to others.

I had a very pleasant experience signing my new storage lease. The property was very well kept, and feel my belongings will be safe. The ladies in the office were great! Especially Yolanda.

I would not recommend this or any other public storage location. They leave you uninformed. They literally take possession of your property. One minute they email me saying my payment is due on the first, the next theyre emailing me telling me they have a lien on my property. As you can see by the date on this post, the first has not arrived. The worst part is they are doing construction and I dont have access to my property! They dont have a number to voice your complaints and fix the problem. The rest of the reviews were probably done on the first day of obtaining a unit, because I felt the same way. Great customer service does not make up where they fail. It is only manipulation and a gimmick to trick you into entering a contract with them. I strongly suggest you not fall for the antics, especially the $1 special. It is only smoke and mirrors. I highly recommend that this company not be considered to handle anyones property. This was a bad decision and I am very disappointed that I chose this company.

I love Public Storage! Moved from Milwaukee to Chicago and I have a storage in Milwaukee with Life Storage (very expensive-Public Storage didnt have any open at the time) and one here in East Hazel Crest (very affordable). If you want somewhere that is affordable with great customer service-Public Storage is your place! Yolanda has been great through my entire experience here!

I came in about a week ago looking for storage.I had been renting at another storage company that I was very unhappy with at the time. As soon as I walked in I spoke with Raquel she was very friendly and helpful to my needs and concerns that I had. I explain to her I was only shopping for prices. I refused to see the space at first but she convinced me to take a quick look at. Raquel also showed me all the packing supplies I would need to protect my furniture and clothes I would be putting in storage. I did not rent that day but I will be coming in this week to rent just because the customer service I received was wonderful!

Mike is the best he really helped us gave us the tour told us about the great insurance they offered he was awesome. Brittney was as well she was on the phone when my husband wanted to ask a question and as soon as she got off she was there to help him. Our experience was great.

An employee called me to inform me that my payment needed to made today or I would receive a late fee. I was so grateful to get that call. My schedule is so busy that I overlooked the payment date and would have received a late fee that would have been almost twice my payment. I would like to say that this place is the best! The Staff Yolanda & Dewon, are Fantastic People and find it a joy to talk with and to answer questions. Anytime there has been anything that has come up, they are making sure our customer needs are met with Pure Professionalism. When I came to public storage on Saturday, May 16th, 2015, I was greeted with professionalism by Ebony and Ms. K (Cant recall her name). They were very courteous and accommodating. They were very detailed in their explanation about the unit itself and the cost of the unit. Ebony took us to view the unit before we signed on the dotted lines. Thank you for all you did, girls, in making my day a lot easier to move.

Since Ive had my belongings at this location I havent had any problems. Every time Yolanda is working she greets me and my son with the warmest welcome, and when its time to pay my bill she gets me in and out. She provides excellent customer service.
