The owner Sam is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He wasnt pushy, I got what I needed and wanted. All the guys in back work hard to make it sound and look amazing. They make it happen. This Guy Made Me And My Children Sit Around In The Burning Sun For Over 3 Hours He Lied About The Installment The Guy Who Did The Work Did Not Do A Good Job What So Ever! Wasted 600.00 For A Very Bad Job Would Not Fix The Problem And Messed Up My Whole Radio System

Only the facts. They charged for a part that was not installed. He said in order to play my dvd/video player while driving, they needed to install a part that will override the Factory safety device. He said it is $45 installed, better to do it now instead of later when we have to take apart your dash again. I didn’t have enough money on me at the time and he asked how much I could put for right now and I said $35. He accepted that amount. I thought that was very nice of him. Come to find out, that “part” was not installed. I don’t know where it is, nor if there even if device exhausts. In reality, all you have to do is connect the wire for the power of the video player to your vehicle’s ACC instead of the parking break, bypassing the system. It even explains it in the owner’s manual of the stereo.You decide if these guys are honest or not...

I had my front and rear view dash cam installed on the same day . The job was done very professionally and clean with minimal wiring. The staff are very knowledgeable and explained the process and the job in a clear manner. I would highly recommend street beat audio to anyone !

First I am not a competitor in the car audio business as Sam tries to accuse most people of who post a negative review of his company. Second I thought I saw a good deal online which would help me with on my car audio build on my new truck. When I purchased the item online I saw all kind of references that they don’t do refunds, sales are final which should have altered me not to do business with this company. After I made my purchase online I got an email which said my item would be delivered in 3-5 days, great I thought. I emailed the shop a few days later to verify the ETA of arrival and was sent this message by the owner” Leon, we apologize but, because of COVID-19 we are not shipping anything due to low stock and high in store demand of JL audio products.” I have bought many products online during COVID, online is probably the safest way to shop during this pandemic. If you choose not to honor sales of items purchased online then why are they on your site available to buy and or purchase. I doubt my review can stop anyone from patronizing this business, but they are not professional, these are amateur tactics. I am still waiting for my refund to be applied to my credit card as well. Folks, if they are so busy and can’t honor legitimate sales and purchases, I would find a different business to spend your hard earned money with.This is the real response from owner after waiting 2 plus days and still no refund on my credit card so I let him know I will follow through to the BBB. This review is long over due! I have been a customer of Street Beat for about 15 years. They have worked on several of my cars by installing alarms or stereos. The service they provide is exceptional! The quality of the work is close to flawless. They do their best to make whatever modifications to the order or request work to accommodate the customer. One of the first experiences I had was an alarm installation. They ran longer then expected and knew I had young children at home. Rather than having me go pick up the car in the evening, they drove it to my house and dropped it off. Finally, the owner Sam is as kind and human as they come. He is flexible and real about prices. Told Sam from the start i needed radio for my h-d street glide so you need a marine radio, right? A GREAT salesman would know this and suggest water resistant option. Instead he sells me a regular car radio that will die on me in the rain, so i had to return it, wasting my time and my gas.

Took my g37 for tinting my windows and to get a car alarm. Best stereo installation place in the Bay Area!!! Been doing business with this family owed business for nearly 2 decades. Doing business with them for all my vehicles and no complaints. They’re like FAMILY!!!

I wanted to like these guys. But they consistently promised me acceptable work and refused to provide it. My car is a mess since I let them install over $2900 worth of equipment and I have speakers falling out and jagged holes in my car where they insisted on using self taping screws after I specifically asked for the adapters. I have been in and out trying to get the car to a point that’s acceptable but at this point I’m afraid of more damage. They are nice guys but I can only assume at this point that is part of their sales pitch. The technicians couldn’t be trusted to wire a chicken coupe.

I had 3 vehicles ( Corvette, Camaro, and Ford Edge) serviced here for new audio components and they did a wonderful job each time. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for audio upgrades.

I have a 1997 Toyota Camry I inherited from my mom, and I blew the speakers out (I play music a lot louder than my 91 year old mom did). Went to Street Beat to get new speakers and WOW did they do a great job !!! They were prompt, courteous, and fun to deal with, and cost was reasonable. I totally love the speakers they put in, I hear things in the classical music and jazz I play that I never heard before, and when I want to rock out to Springsteen or Stevie Ray Vaughn so loud it shakes the whole car the speakers handle it just fine. Great experience all around, highly recommend.

I came to Street Beat with a reasonable budget and not much of an idea for what I wanted; Sam guided me through the process to meet my budget and fill me in on what I needed to know about my options so I could make a sound choice. This place was quite a refreshing change from any of the other stereo installation places I visited. The gentleman who runs the shop, Sam, was very interested in what I was looking for, and he demoed a few different setups for me. He asked me my budget and he made things work for me within my budget. My new speaker system setup sounds great and has all the bass I wanted of it. I brought my 2007 Toyota Tundra to get some Lights and head unit installed street beat staff took really good care of me I was in and out within a two hour time frame they were very honest there wasn’t any up selling in between my deal I got what I wanted and I was very satisfied I recommend this business to all my friends and family I definitely will be a returning customer. The tech, David, did a great job installing my car alarm, but there were just a few things that happened so I couldnt really give it a full 5 stars.Its a family run business; you will see Mos mom walking around the store. (It was a little weird when you pull you wallet out to pay, and she comes around, hovers and looks at the inside of your wallet, and double checks if you paid the right amount) Also, the crew and some customers were all waiting outside at 10 am (time store is supposed to be open), but the owners didnt get there until almost 25 minutes later. It must be a regular event, since the employees were kicking it, laughing and just waiting; so were the customers and me.My car was supposed to be done in 2 hours, but it was almost 4 hours. I didnt really mind, since I wanted them to do it properly, and I did give them some extra work. However, it would have been nice to have been given a call before I got there instead of waiting the extra time. Also, I was added an addition charge because of the extra time they took, when I specifically told Mo to make sure that everything is complete when I paid ahead of time for services.Lastly, is the fact that the car spaces closest to the shop area where the techs worked were littered with loose wiring ends, and merchandise debris. I understand that the techs have a job to do, and they have to be quick to get all the cars done, but cleaning up after the job is also a requirement especially for a better environment.Again, Mo has lots of experience and knowledge, and the techs do a great job. They promote JL Audio. And, the store is well known.If you are getting work done, make sure you bring it in the morning, and probably expect it to be there for a bit, since they are a busy shop.If you come in the afternoon, you may have to come back to have your items installed. 2 hours time is a average, but it really depends on the scope of the work. Theres no real waiting area inside the store, and only a table with four bar stools outside.I will be back to install a dash cam soon.

The store is very well equipped and has some very knowledgeable people. The downfalls are the labor is very expensive, theyre predominantly a JL dealer and they dont accept any returns. Overall I gave them three stars. The knowledge of the person I was talking with, Sam, is by far one of the most intelligent people in Industry Ive met. But for me I personally dont like doing business with companies that dont except refunds. They do however take items back and give you store credit.Update; because I liked the products he was selling I went back with my motorcycle a 2002 Goldwing, to test the speakers to see if they would fit. Unfortunately they didnt have anything to fit properly it was either too big or too small. However I was rather impressed how Sam took the speakers out of the packages and let me test them not only physically to see the fit but also let me hear them in my bike. I came to the conclusion that my bike originally had a 3 ohm speaker and those are not available anymore. only 4 Ohms. so they were too quiet and I need to install an amp to get True Performance out of the speakers. I decided to put the project off for later.

I had my 2018 Tundras audio system done at Street Beat on January 2019. Sam and his awesome team did an excellent job with regards to what I wanted. Sam was extremely fair with pricing for my system. Anyone that bought the Tundra with the JBL system knows that it is one of the worst sound system ever made for car audio. We decided to go all JL Audio system. Sam and his team was able to keep the factory deck but made the sound incredible! I was in disbelief of this incredible sound when I came to pick up my truck and heard it for the first time. I couldnt believe I was driving around for months with that horrendous JBL system. Sam also notified me that it would take a little bit of time for the system to break in and he was spot on. Do yourself a favor and head over Street Beat if you want quality sound and quality workmanship.Thank you very much, Sam and your entire staff, for letting me have a great music experience every time I drive!

When i first got there i was greeted right away. I had an issue with a old HID system for my 06 Dodge Ram. They educated me on why HIDs are out dated. I ended up having a wiring issue from my truck. Shah totally hooked me up and got it going. Price was spot on!

My experience is something of a mixed bag. Im a do-it-yourself kind of guy, but recently have not had time to learn how to install my own car speaker system. After seeing what was available online and at Frys, and reading reviews on google maps/places, I decided to bite the bullet and pay someone else to install a new sound system in my car, knowing that it would cost a bit extra. I had heard Street Beat treated its customers like royalty, and figured I didnt mind spending a little bit extra to make sure I ended up with something I liked.A little bit of background on my situation. I had just gotten a new car, and not only was the head unit physically breaking, but the front left speaker was chopping in and out, making the whole car sound terrible. It was probably a bad speaker, but I also suspected that some of the wiring was broken along the way.When I went in, Sam was incredibly nice and showed me the different head units and speakers he had available (many more than are on the website, which isnt finished yet). He assured me that regardless of what the problem with my front left speaker was, they would fix it, and that they replaced all the wiring during the installation anyway. After listening to a few different speakers, he gave me a pretty good price on a set of speakers way above what I had originally thought I would get (Hes a great salesman, what can I say?) I also specifically requested that my stock speakers be returned to me, so I could reinstall them if I ever needed to sell the car. Sam said that would be no problem. I paid upfront and brought my car back the next day to get everything installed, feeling like the reviews were all spot on and I was in for a great ride.When I picked up my car the next day, I didnt immediately realize, but my stock speakers were not given back to me. I spoke with Street Beat about this, and they said that they were sorry, that they might have had to cannibalize the speaker frames to install the new speakers, and that they would sell me some cheap speakers instead if I needed to sell the car. While not ideal, I can respect this. I just wish they had called me before cannibalizing the speakers during the installation.A second complaint, the new head units display is angled upward, and due to the orientation, the screen appears very dim when I drive (practically invisible during the daytime). This is a HUGE disappointment for me, even though it isnt really Street Beats fault. I asked them what we could do to fix this and, short of upgrading to a double-din head unit, they said probably not much. Id need to get a custom housing made, which would cost as much as the head unit itself, if not more. Im mostly disappointed because Ive never had this problem on any other head unit, and I wish that they had warned me about the orientation problem so I could have found a different head unit to install, or at least to have made an informed decision. I feel like I got slapped with this and now Im stuck with it.However, the car sounds absolutely terrific. Im actually disappointed listening to music in other cars now. Except for not being able to see the screen, Im pretty happy with what Ive got.As a side note, they did *not* replace all of the speaker wiring, even though I thought I was paying for that service, but it turns out the front left speaker sounds fine now, so that must not have been the issue previously.At the end of the day, I feel that for the price premium I paid in order to have someone else do a great job, I would rather have done it myself and made sure everything came out just right. I think Street Beat did a better job than Frys would have, but I was specifically looking for an experience that would make sure everything was set up perfectly for me, and while Street Beat did everything they could, they fell a little bit short.

I went here to get tints as they advertise they do tints as well as audio. When I got to the shop for my appointment, I paid, then the owner Sam informed me I had to drive across town to their other shop to have the tint job done there because they dont do them at the same location they take your money at. I had to reschedule as I was not prepared to take my car to another location (Lizards Auto glass Hayward) after I got my tints done, there were bubbles in every single window even 2 weeks after they were done. I went and showed Sam at Street Beat and he said they would do me a favor and have Lizards Auto Glass do them over again, which means I had leave my car again for the weekend so they can take the tints off and do them all over again. I have a newborn and it was a huge inconvenience to not have a car for the weekend. I asked Sam if he could give me a discount for the all the issues and he said they didnt make that much money off the job and her was already doing me a favor by having them done over. I told him I really didnt agree and that was bad customer service. He offered me 50$ back. ... When I told him I wanted 50$ more (100$ discount off 350$) he said no, they didnt make that much off the sale so he wouldnt give me more. He then said he was gonna call Lizard and tell them to just take tints off and give me a refund. At the end of the day I was disappointed in the bad customer service. The tints were not done properly and I had to get them done all over and all he could do is tell me they didnt make a lot of money off the sale. I will tell every person I know not to go there because at the end of the day they care more about their comission than the quality of work and customer satisfaction. Very disappointing and a waste of my time.

Do not go to this place. i bought a old school dually 4 door truck that takes diesel for $2,000 on Craigslist for my landscaping business. I Decided to install a deck and 2 6by9 speakers because my original stereo doesnt have aux . the installer did his job and I Drove home. on the way my speakers were making squeaky noise. I took it back right away and the installer seemed frustrated. he told me theres something wrong with my wiring. obviously because he installed it. it was fine before. supposively he fixed the problem but it was the same next day. i turn on my a.c. and my truck burn down due to bad wiring. i pay $350 and they burn my truck. I was on my next mission on getting auto insurance but didnt get the chance for investigation. i had truck only for a month. $2,350 down the drain. do not go there. i told owner but he doesnt care. I almost nearly died from the burn.

Approximately 2 weeks ago I went into Street Beat looking to get some more oomph/bass added into my 2000 Honda Accord. I was first assisted by Nate, who not only helped me gain more knowledge about mobile audio systems, but also helped me compare and contrast the differences between different types of subwoofers. We spent a good hour comparing different brands and types of subwoofers, and in the end I was satisfied with the system that we pieced together. When I went to pick up my car after the installation I was very satisfied with the cleanliness of the installation; it was better than I anticipated it to be. Overall, I was very satisfied with the way I was treated as a customer and how the installation was done in my car. Definitely would recommend my friends and anyone else to go to Street Beat.

Im replacing the dash tweeters in a 2012 Subaru Legacy with 3 full range drivers. I drove to three auto audio places looking for 100uF electrolytic capacitors to replace the 3.3uF capacitor on the stock wiring. Other places said they either didnt have them or wanted four times the price of Best Buy.Street Beat was my last stop because they had a selection of bass blockers at a fair price.

Was referred to by a friend and I would say these guys are exactly what they say they are actual professionals . They will actually show or explain a layout before your purchase to make sure you are satisfied. The wait was a little long but thats because they actually took their time to make sure everything was perfect unlike other shops ive been to in the past want to rush everything with the car just so they can be on to the next. Moe is definitely the guy to ask for if you want to walk out with a deal! I had my factory deck switched on a company van to a Pioneer NEX that came with a built in updated navigation system and back up camera and i couldnt have asked for anything better. To top it off they made me aware that due to the line of work im in, security was definitely a plus so they gave me an awesome deal on a viper alarm with remote start! They are definitely the go to guys.

I went into the shop looking for a new 10 subwoofer, cone only no box. I asked Sam the owner what subs he had in this size on the low end of the price spectrum. He patiently showed me all the different options, and even though he knew I wasnt going to spend a whole lot of money, he took his time with me and even sat me down and blasted some hip-hop through some similar subwoofers for me to listen to and feel (per my request). Even though he knew he wasnt going to get a huge sale out of me, he probably spent 45 mins with me 1 on 1. I ended up spending about $90 on a new JL 10 sub, and boy it was the perfect purchase. Once I got it installed on my own, it sounds sooo nice and he was not kidding when he said it would put a big smile on my face. They are also one of the few shops who is an authorized JL retailer and can honor a JL warranty. Thank you Sam and Street Beat for your great customer service and great products!

Amazing work I went in and got LED lights out in my Car and its latterly 10x brighter and I love the white color had my stock lights that looked ugly now my car looks sexy thanks guys!!!

I Have the worst experience in service with this guy, I pay for stereo and back up camera, and the workers break my rear windows, they tell me will replace my windows but, they buy a used and no the same quality, olso the windows do not fit well, I loose money, time and very fustrated with this guy, only say is not your fault, I not recomended, also I cancel all, and this guy tryes to sign for not do a claim
