In response to your google comment--it appears you take no responsibility? Too busy to inform customers of work progress--I initiated all calls--no calls from you until several calls to you? Cash payment why not check or credit card?....On your work estimate why did you advise me the work will be completed in 4-6 weeks (not 7+ months to actual completion)--you had the clock for week+ to determine what was wrong with the clock? Nonetheless, we do agree I need another clock repair person.I have had several clocks repaired for over 20 years. I brought a cuckoo clock in for repair. It took about 7+ months to get it back. Paul (owner) said it would take 4-6 weeks for completion. Every time I called Paul (after 6 weeks) it was being tested (on the bench) he needed two more weeks,(last call he needed to order a part from Germany--new reason?) etc., etc. His call backs were slow and the last time I called he was rude and unprofessional. After several months (from the 4-6 weeks original estimate) I asked for the clock back and his reply was you need to pay me first and in cash! This clock in my collection is one of sentimental value (repair cost not worth clock value). I needed to deal with him until I got my clock back--overall, he repaired the major part of the clock and some unexpected adjustments I needed to do--did not want to bring back clock! to him). I do not mind if you are straight with me and he should have apologize for his rudeness and kept me updated (consistent reasons) during the process. I will never use him again.

Paul is amazing!! I brought in my familys grandfather clock and he was so informative and helpful walking me through all the ways he could go about fixing it. He turned the clock around in a timely manner and was overall so fun and pleasant to talk to. We are so happy with how the clock turned out! Absolutely cannot stress enough how awesome Paul is as a person.

My husband and father in law brought a clock in for repair. After about 4 months, many phone calls, left messages (calls never returned) an a trip to the store the clock was finally ready for pick up. The clock was repaired but is not 100%. We recently took another of Dads clocks to Andrews Clocks in Hillsdale and this clock was repaired in 2 weeks and delivered to his home. Much better customer service. Do your research.

Unfortunately, when I visited I wasnt able to get any service done to get my watch strap adjusted because they were busy. Probably wouldve taken 10 minutes tops. They did however offer to get it done the following week. Not a big deal. I went to find another store that was able to do it the same day (I was in a rush). I raised it from 2 stars to 3 stars since the owner did reach out at the very least for clarification.

I have found a great place for my watch needs, he is honest and truly cares for your watch. I have brought many watches here and once my watch did not need a battery, something was off on the watch and he was honest to tell me he will not charge me as my watch did not need anything. I was shocked, and have come back many times since. Great honest guy, and fixes it right away in person. Prices are great.

Ive been using The Village Timekeeper for a few years now, and am very happy with the service. Being a small business owner myself, I understand how busy someone can get, but Paul will call you back if you leave a message. Ive never had a problem with communications or repairs. I would (and have) recommend him to anyone looking for clock repairs.

Mr. G is a master at his craft. Be prepared to wait a long time for a job well done. I had a Mystery Clock over 100 years old and he repaired and regulated it to near perfection. A very happy customer. Would recommend his fine service in a second!

So very satisfied with the repair of my forty-year-old clock (had been a wedding gift) that suddenly just stopped working! I left the clock on Thursday afternoon, and the very next day it was ready for pick up! Not only did Paul repair the clock (replacing the clocks motor and the mechanism controlling the pendulum) he also polished the wood case, giving the clock quite a facelift! Also, the cost of the repair was very reasonable.

I was never able to use the village timekeeper. Despite the hours be listed on the website the owner sell seldom answers the phone. I was trying to bring a grandfather clock in for repair and had gone to great effort to get a truck and someone to help me. I left multiple messages and never even received a phone call back. Clearly customer service is not something that is important at this business.

Had clock for 3 weeks with no estimate given. Called twice, got no response. Went to pick-up clock and he could not find it. He told me I should have called and told him I was picking up clock. He told me to come back next week because he could not find clock in his shop. The shop is 1 hour round trip from my home.

One star is far too generous, but sadly I can only rate one star as the lowest review. We would NEVER recommend The Village Timekeeper to anybody for these undisputed FACTS1) Dropped off clock June 20182) September 27th agreed to fix clock for $2453) Numerous phone messages left at The Village Time Keeper, withoutone return call4) Very poor business practice!5) More than a couple of times we had to personally go there only tobe LIED too. One time the owner Paul Grandinetti told us sorry butI am waiting for a part. Which was another LIE! He never replacedanything on the clock. He only repaired the clock?Paul Grandinetti stated a few times that we can pickup the clockafter 10 days. NOT TRUE6) The owner Paul Grandinetti is not man of his word7) Finally after 9 months we could pick up the clock (MARCH 2019)8) The price was $50 more than what we agreed upon. Without anyprior notification9) Paul Grandinetti stated that if we paid cash we would not have topay tax10) Paul Grandinetti is very unprofessionalI wonder how many other customers hes ripped off????I know by him not charging tax he is ripping off the GovernmentSo if you dont mind being ripped off or lied too than go to the Village TimekeeperMike F.

I cannot comment on the quality of his work however, he gave me an estimate of $325.00 to repair a clock. I was given the same explanation of what had to be done and had the clock repaired to my complete satisfaction for $165.00 by Andrews Clock in Hillsdale.
