Nothing but good experiences here. I have had both my cars serviced here (brakes, oil changes, inspections). I have been able to get in same-day when I needed to. Quality work, no up-selling stuff you dont need. Very happy.

I tried to have my a/c fixed there with little success. I am from out of town and needed my a/c fixed and they went through all the steps of checking refrigerant and all the other parts of an a/c unit (compressor, condenser etc...). They found a leak in the schrader valve and replaced it and checked the a/c before i left and all was good. The next day my a/c didnt work, so i called them and they said there must be another leak somewhere and i asked why they didnt find it when they found the other leak ? their reply was it must have happened after i left . Amazing coincidence. I do have a older car and they did say my compressor clutch is weak, i will give them that but to have the same symptom as before within 12 hours ? must be another leak somewhere they didnt find or look for .

I have used G&H for several years. They are the best around our area. Nice friendly people.

I work for a local business in town with a fleet of vehicles that need servicing. We were taking them to a different business in town who were less efficient and who took hours for just an oil change when we made appointments. So we started taking our vehicles to G & H about several months ago. Let me say, it has been so easy talking with Frank and the girls in the office on the phone with scheduling oil changes and maintenance. Im glad we made the switch over to them. They have our vehicles in and out so we can get our installers and service guys back on the road. It has been a pleasure doing business with them and I hope to continue the relationship we have with them. Yall are AWESOME!!!

They are an amazing company, they are $85/hr but they ensure every bit of that hour is earned. Unlike other places they also call you prior to any repairs extra that you have not agreed to. Absolutely recommend this company!

Surely surprised by this place, all the cars out front. Never ever thought to stop to get anything done here. Until a friend recommend them, amd they had me in and out in a very reasonable time. Service they are a 5 star in my eyes, but the outside needs to be cleaned up and cars moved.

Fails in communication regarding update status on repair, additional prices added without calling us and completion time especially if we drop off our vehicle @ appt hr 7:30am and to be completed in 3.5 hrs., we didnt get a call until 5:15pm that my car was done, such an inconvenience not have my car the entire day. Will not recommend this shop...

So funny story went to help a good friend and her daughter because their tire came off their SUV and when I was there I picked up a screw in my tire at the parking lot behind Dunkin’ Donuts! So took my suv up to G and H after I got them safely home and they fixed my tire for free! Amazing people! My dad has gone her for years and now I know why! Really nice people! I can’t say thank you enough! 💜 I highly recommend G and H!

This was the first time I have ever used them I have to say that I was scared to leave my car with them because I had heards bad things about how they over charge people and not fix your car right but I am here to tell you dont always go by what other people to say my car broke down on me a month and a half ago on the way home from work i had to leave it at Dunkin donuts for that long because I just didnt have the money to move it with my husband being sick and out of work and me the only one working it got towed because I was unable you to move it so G&H end up with it not having the money to have it towed again I ask if they could take a look at it and IAM so glad I did they fixed my car and keept me up to date on every thing and was so professional about everything I just want to say thank you all so much for everything I will be using you all again if I need to in future you are awesome thank you for the awesome job.

G&H is a wonderful auto shop. It is not AAA affiliated but depending on the service required, still cheaper than a place that is. Staff members are very friendly. While their auto shop isnt AAA affiliated, their towing is! All the tow truck drivers Ive worked with have been kind and compassionate when my car broke down and I was freaking out.

This place is absolutely horrible! I took my Nissan to get serviced there and they not only put the part on wrong they destroyed my car now it isnt drivable at all and they arent trying to fix it. When I took it back to them they told me countless stories about how my car needed this & that done but took no responsibility for their wrongs. Now I am taking LEGAL action!!!! I highly recommend you take your car somewhere else to get serviced. NOT THIS PLACE!!

Got an allignmnt for a 2010 dodge challenger. Made an appointment and they were on time, expedient and did a good job.

Got my 99 cougar towed there because it wouldnt start. They charged my $700 for a bunch of things I didnt need, like a new water pump and thermostat. I replaced those just a couple years ago, and my car wasnt overheating, it just wouldnt start. They also drove my car a lot, since I was missing a 1/4 tank of gas, and they had changed my radio station and adjusted my mirrors. And they screwed up my alignment since my car shakes if I go over 50 mph now. Do not go here, they will rip you off.

Asked them to change my tail light and liscense plate bulbs so I could get an inspection done and they were talking about having to take all kinds of stuff apart just to do it saying that it would be a big process, I went and changed them myself in the oreillys parking lot and it took my not even 5 minutes

This place is terrible I wouldnt bring my bicycle there. My bf brought his car there to have fuel injectors put in they blew the engine and claimed it was already blown. Then kept it for almost a month trying to rebuid engine failed at that just put a bunch of new parts on it. Needless to say my bf had the car towed home today with a burnt up motor and was charged $800 dollars for a pc of metal that is decorating my front yard. I wouldnt recommend to my worst enemy.

I came here on a Saturday to get some tires ( I already had) removed from one set of rims to the set on my vehicle. I went to Baldrees tire first but they were to busy and not real friendly and inviting, I had heard a lot of bad things about g&h from other mechanics and locals in Havelock, but I was desperate to get these tires on as I was showing wire, so I stopped in since I saw they were open. The woman in the front was really friendly and ready to help, which was promising. I asked her if they would have time to switch the tires for me she said they could but it would be a 30 min wait. I was desperate so I said Id wait, well that 30 min turned into an hour and a half, I thought OK I can deal with this I had no appointment and it was Saturday. While I was waiting I asked her if I could get an alignment while I was there, she said if the mechanic felt he had time which was also reasonable. Finally our time had come and the mechanic came up to us (we were waiting by the car) he was really friendly and listened to me when I was explaining what I wanted done. I was putting bigger tires on in the back than what was on there and it was questionable about if they would fit without more lift, he agreed to try one before mounting the other, and if we needed to make an adjustment to the rear he was willing to help me accomplish this (we didnt end up needing to do anything more, as they fit), and said he could do the alignment. While I was waiting I kept asking the woman more questions to get a feel for the place, then I made an appointment to bring another vehicle in for a diagnostics. Finally my car was done the price was fair for what they did the alignment price they quoted me was cheaper than Baldrees, but the alignment didnt happen. Turned out I needed to replace the Pitman arm, idler arm, and ball joint on the left side before it could be aligned, fair enough, I knew there was a problem down there I just never took the time to figure out what. The woman quoted me a price for the one side... And the magic number was $800 (?) I was thinking really? you really think Im dumb. I told her I would do the work myself, she said I understand. Now here is why my review is three stars, there was one of the mechanics standing behind her at the counter waiting for her (not the mechanic that helped me with my vehicle), he put out a loud quick snicker like ha, yeah right you dont know what youre doing and cant do it, you DONT do that in front of customers and maybe you shouldnt judge them either. I am female and hate being judged because of it, yeah all those nuts bolts, ball joints and bearings really make my head just spin and I dont know what to do (sarcasm) . What that prick didnt know because he was too busy judging me is that I work with cars too, but in a different way... Autobody. Cars in Autobody need some mechanical work done sometimes. I am no mechanic, I can diagnose some stuff, but I am one heck of a parts changer. I had the job they were going to do, plus the other side as well, done myself in four hours for $190 the same quality parts they were going to use. Needless to say because of that guy I never took my other car there for diagnostics, and I will only take my car there if I need tires switched on a Saturday...
