If you dont mind seconds or imperfect materials for your project then this is the place for you. I on the other hand, dont mind paying the extra $1.00 or $2.00 for a piece of material that Im sure my customers would like. They are only less than 5% of a discount that you would spend for faster customer service, load, carry and Warranty. And the ability to pay fast and get home quicker. Is it really worth the discount?

When I first drove into the yard I saw a lot of wood building supplies. I walked around and finally found the entrance to the warehouse. Then a store employee offered to help and he gave me the prices on the products I need. Their prices are substantially lower than the big box stores. My project does not require high end materials so I will buy from Salvage World.

A lot of these 5 star reviews are made by employees... if an employee has to leave a good review for the ratings to go up there is something very wrong with that business.

The employees dont even ask if you need help we was there for an hour wanted to buy a few things but none of what we wanted had prices on it. We asked one guy for help he didnt come back. Needles to say salvage world in Hattiesburg lost all my business Ill pay home depots prices before I go back to salvage world Building supplies.

The workers are nice, the prices are questionable, check with other places to make sure youre not getting the spurs.

The staff in the lumber yard was very knowledgeable and helpful. Price of material was reasonable also.

My husband got a great steal on an air compressor. He was very excited about it.

It’s a steal “not a deal”, slogan is right! I found out the deck boards were about $7-$8 more at Lowe’s. So, I did get a deal. The ugly brown decking boards were cheaper at Lowe’s but I wanted gray boards that were $10 more. I would recommend you shop around to see what your deal is at Salvage World. You maybe surprised.

Had just what we needed

On 03/31, I purchased 380 fence boards and 48 2x4s. When I ran out halfway through putting up the fence, I thought my calculations must have been off. On 04/07, I purchased 144 more fence boards. Total number of fence boards purchased was 524 boards. I ran out again. I decided to count the fence boards and 2x4s that we had received from them. I received 41 2x4s (purchased 48)and 366 fence boards (purchased 524). The manager said that they came in bundles and he doesnt believe that the bundles were short that many and they must have blown off the trailer (security video shows they were tied down). He watched the video which shows the bundles being loaded (he couldnt tell how many)so he could just give me a percentage off of what more I have to buy. Im fencing 190 ft. He stated Ive already purchased enough to fence 260 ft. He has no explanation for the discrepancy but theres nothing he can do since boards were loaded, although he said theres no way to count what they loaded in the video. I Have to purchase 40 more to complete the job now. I should have only had to purchase 406 boards total. The total will now be 564 fence boards with 158 that I never received I do not recommend doing business with them.

I was searching for lower prices...But dont get caught as its a steal not a deal...

Way overpriced for what they have. If you want broken stuff, go to bucks and you will have better luck. If you want overpriced broken stuff, salvage world is the place for you.

Horrible experience unprofessional staff sloppy bowed boards some broken and I was shorted 125 boards on my purchase and the manager complete joke instead of making it right offered a discount to buy the boards that I had already purchased again at a discount.
