This place has a lot of really good books

One of the white female elder staff with blonde seems to be ignorant and have an attitude when a customer is wandering and asking what to do. I was looking for the access code of my course. She said there was no code for me to sell when I asked couple of the same questions to make sure if the bookstore had the code or not yet. She started getting frustrated when she thought I had poor understanding. I can tell she has a lack of understanding toward her international customer. Plus, I am not sure if she is doing her job correctly when she accidentally canceled my order a couple of days. I just walked away.

The Barnes & Nobles Store on USM Campus has everything an Eagle fan is looking for. Shirts and Sweatshirts, Ball Caps and Little Cheerleader outfits, and student accessories, theyve got it all!! Even snacks and laptops to boot!! Go by and check it out for yourself.

The customer service was top notch. My shopping experience was wonderful.

Just moved to the Gulf Coast and wanted to show my support for a local College team, I didnt want to root for Bama, LSU, etc. so i chose Southern Miss and this is a real good location for shirts, caps, misc. team items. Bought a couple shirts and the prices were fairly reasonable. Buy one get one 1/2 off. Nice and clean, students are very nice and they were very helpful with letting me know where the book store was located.

Setup of the store is user friendly. Employees are nice and helpful.

Prices are higher but they do price match on books. They dont price match online code prices. The staff is knowledgeable and are really friendly.

This was on southern miss campus and it was an awesome experience lots of employees to help fast and friendly

This store is terrible. They only have one guy checking out downstairs, two people upstairs, and one person at the technology counter. Do you even realize how many students need things at the beginning of the semester? I understand that its busy but you have plenty of registers. Hire more people and put the people that you have to work! Most of them just stand around and watch or try to find something else to do rather than check people out. I had to just leave my spot in line because I was late for class already and you arent open any time that Im not at work or in class other than in between my classes. Get it together people!

As far as it being a Barnes and Noble it fell flat on book selection. 2/3 of the store was dedicated to school merchandise. I get its on school grounds but its a bookstore first.

Nice selection, but clearance section is too small. Most likely because its a branch located in a university campus, therefore, a large storage space is devoted to USM overpriced merchandise. Other than that, great customer service and decent books selection

We waited in line for at least an hour to purchase books. I would have expected them to be better staffed:(

Books are expensive compared to other stores. I waited in line for 20 minuets, when there were only 2-3 people in front of me only to be told that I had to go upstairs for textbooks. The line for textbooks is a nightmare and they never pick up the phone.

Nice store great customer service, but there were very few manga which is a big thing for me And there book store so they should have the manga

Stay as far away as possible. If you expect any of your school books to be delivered in a timely manner, think again.

This Barnes and Noble in Hattiesburg, MS is absolutely horrible! I was so happy when I found that there was a Barnes and Noble in Hattiesburg so I wouldnt have to travel to Gulfport, MS to get books or help on my Nook Book. Can you believe none of the workers there in Hattiesburg didnt know what a Nook Book was? My gosh Nook Books are a hugh part of Barnes and Noble and I had to drive from Tylertown to Gulfport to get help with my Nook. I will never go there again. And they dont sell hardly any real books or best sellers. Barnes and Noble you should have a real store set up in Hattiesburg since you are rated #1 in book selling and Amazons books is in second place. Again, I have to drive over 3 hours to go to a real Barnes and Noble . Thats not fair since Hattiesburg is a big city.

A little pricey, but they have alot of USM gear. You can rent and buy textbooks here for class. They also buy back books.

They are way over priced and they lack the amount of people it takes to handle the thousands of students USM houses. Please hire more people. Student are great people to start with.

They are absolutely horrible! Worst customer service! Everything is over priced! The stuff that you do buy doesn’t work! Never shop here!

Iwish they had more of a selection of graphic novels to choose from.

It had an okay variety, relatively small, though. Also, very expensive. Make sure you have at least 30 bucks for a book.

They do not open at 7:45. They open at 8. I was almost lasted for my class because of this

The lines too long waited 1hr just to be told that the book was sold out and purchase the wrong lab book in which employee gave to me

If you ever need to each the textbook department by phone, you might as well just give up right now.Ive been at USM for 2 years and they rarely, if ever, answer their phones. Ive left messages and tried 4 or 5 times throughout the day and the result is usually the same: no answer.Being a commuter this is basically unacceptable for me.

This is the bookstore from my college days. The customer service is always outstanding and they always have everything and more I could ever want as a alum.

Bad hours bad service dont let them fool you this is just a campus store for textbooks its not a real Barnes & Nobles
