Nice place, but the employee followed me around EVERY single isle. I would go from one isle to the next to grab the items and he was RIGHT there behind me 2 seconds later just watching.The area is not the best or safest so maybe that’s why but still it was Very uncomfortable.

The best customer service EVER! The young gentleman behind the counter was extremely helpful and kind. He is very knowledgeable and takes great pride in helping his customers.Update: I had to back to BSW hair to get more braiding hair for my daughter. I was hoping to see the same young man, because he was so wonderful. Unfortunately, he wasnt there. I believe the owner of the establishment was the one who helped me. He was amazing as well! I love shopping here. They have so many fun things!!!! I bought cute hair clips for my two younger daughters to use on their American Girl Dolls! YAY!!!!!! Wait, and a little wave brush for my hubby!!!!! It is so cute and tiny. He said, hell use it on his beard!

I have gone to this store maybe 200+ times over the course of 7 years. I always get the same great treatment. The staff are greatvand knowledgable and always help when needed. There are hundreds of wig stores such as this around and they may vary on what they carry. Ive been going here since they first opened. And theyve improved a lot. The display counter and wigs have really stepped up. Theres whatever kind of hair you may need. Make-up, jewelery, hair products, etc. Something for everybody at reasonable prices. And theyre about 4 mins. From downtown where restaurants and all other stores are located.

I walked into this store, looking forward to a great experience based on the reviews. I was in there for less than 5 minutes total. I began to collect hair for a variety of models in a hair show, clearly I came to spend a lot! My well behaved 2.5 year old then told me that he had to go the bathroom urgently. I asked the young lady, who was politely following me around, to direct me to the restroom so my son could quickly relieve himself. She told me I had to speak to the young man at the cash register. I went to him, repeated my request, he then rolled his eyes at me, dismissed me with a wave of his hand and told me to go across the street to the laundromat...with my 2.5 year old....in the pouring rain. In case he misunderstood me, I repeated my question, making it clear that I was asking for a 2.5 year old child who would not make it across the busy street....in the pouring rain. He then refused to even acknowledge me, waved his hand dismissively again and pointed out the door. I set my full basket down and left the store. I will not be back.**In response to the owners audacious reply: there is nothing fake, nor inaccurate about my review. It occurred last summer (2017) and I am very well aware of what store I was in. In fact, it was my experience at your store that made me aware of the other 2 stores nearby, since I had to quickly find someplace else to make my purchase. Do better!***Whether it was 1 or 2 stores nearby, the ridiculous response from the man at the register caused me to be aware that there are other options nearby. For the record, there was 1 across the street and 1 further down the street. That = 2. Instead of trying to discredit my unfortunate experience, your time would be better spent accepting accountability for the circumstance and committing to treat people better than we were treated. I love bsw they are very helpful and friendly .. I love the fact that you get points. sometimes I get $5 - $10 dollars off my purchase, you could even get more off if you let your points add up.. very affordable hair and nice lace fronts..👍👍

I am THE WORST CUSTOMER! However the BSW team always always assist me with a SMILE! I am the cheap charley customer but thats the only place in all of Hartford i can go and jump into my 5 hair box. I live in East Hartford and i take two buses to get to BSW. They are professional n my personal hair product advisors. I appreciate u ladies n i give u 6 stars.

Owenr doesnt have respect for no one but himself.Very rude and unprofessional. I have being to so many other hair store around Hartford and this one turn out to have the worst management.The girls that work in this store is very lovely and if it wasnt for those girl this store would have no customers at all.Since this store open there is so much people I know that decide to never go back to this store because of that rude man they called owner. And I promise myself that I would never go back because too much lovely hair store with professional management to waste my hard working money on manager that behave so unprofessional.

Prices are decent, whenever i feel like playing with hair the Avenue is the quickest move for me and their lashes prices arent bad either... They always have the lenght and color hair i want at the time i want it and the style of lashes as well. Bsw is the bomb for that quick last minute 1 stop 2 shop 4 all 4 the low...

I bought a wig yesterday at this store my customer didnt like it she didnt try it on or anything I broth it back the next day to exchange it and just because I rate the store two stars as a mistake he did not take back the wig telling me the wig smell like cigarette trying to find every excuse just not to exchange it.... but first when I went in the store and ask he said as long as its in contact as you bought it out the store then it but as soon as he see the two star no he have all the excuse so its smell like cigarette I cant take it back. But if you didnt see the two star you would have exchange it right
