Rarely shop here anymore. I hate how they house (small cages) and sell rabbits for meat or for novelty (doesnt matter as long as they get their money). This is why so many rabbits end up being turned loose to fend for themselves and perish. They add to the problem.The music choice they play is also enough to drive someone out. I dont know how the employees manage to hear that music all day. They do have a big employee turn over. Rumor is they dont treat employees very well, which also bothers me a great deal. A pleasant atmosphere starts with staff with good morale. It doesnt show there.Tractor supply to me is so much nicer and Im glad I have the choice to shop there for my livestock feed instead.

Ive always had favorable experiences at Rural King but not this time. No one was on the floor and where the mice and rat killing products were located, the shelves were bare. After waking 2/3of the store, I finally found the vanity poison.The check out was friendly and polite.

Employees are sometimes are either unable or unwilling to assist you. It may have just been a bad day I went there. The store does have a lot of items for sale though...from clothing to food, from animal food to yard things. They also have a great gun department.

I like our Rural king. Always friendly people. They are always willing to help load my heavy stuff. Products always seem to be in stock.

Was at st. Joe store and bought mulch and told the cashier I really needed help with it getting it loaded waited and waited . Know one came out to h t lp so I had to load it myself .I had back surgery and its still affects my back really bad and I told this to the cashier when I asked t o get assent. However ai made it though it really is not right however bit nothing I can do .unless I totally stop showing at real king . And go to another store such as tractor supply or place on kratesville road .that has nicer much and better prices on most things .

Very clean and well organized, unlike the Marion store. You can actually walk down each aisle without having to dodge boxes and other miscellaneous items. So neat and clean. Love shopping here!

They have a great, and huge collection of fresh spring/summer flowers. So if you like to garden Id come here. They also have lots of fresh herbs, and fruits/veggies to plant. Plus the employees are always very polite, and helpful.

If could give negative 5 stars I would. The customer service is absolutely rechid. I will never be spending another penny at Rural King and you shouldnt either. Why support a place that could care less about how they treat their customers?

I can’t say enough good things about Rural King the best prices on guns and ammo with a knowledgeable courteous staff. Now that ammo is back in stock there a one stop shop for all your sporting needs.

I am disabled and need to use an electric chair. Harrisburg rural king has 3 chairs but has a lot of disabled customers and all the chairs are usually being used. Man6 rimes the ones available has dead batteries. I discussed this problem with the manager after i had drove 35 miles one way to shop there. I asked if they could at least put a couple of metal folding chairs in the area of the electric chairs so people like me can wait for a chair and asked if the greeters could keep the chairs charged up since they are where the entrance is. Was told that would be implemented that day. 3 months now and no chairs to sit on and i see electric chairs outside in the parking lot instead of inside where they could be charged up if needed. Nothing like being lied to!!!!!!!!

I can always find what I’m looking for here! Whether it be for horses or water lines they usually got it!

I was surprised when I went into the store and as soon as I got a view of the entire store I was struck by the lack of merchandise. I think part of the problem was Covid related but there was 3 items I went to get and they only had one of the three.

Rural King is the best store, just not enough of them.

A great place to shop.my husband loves going to the rural king to get any kind of a tool you want or any thing to do with gardening or planting floweres.

Parking lot was a little scary with thick ice and snow. I was able to grab an outside cart and take in to help walk. Switched out with a clean cart inside😊Was able to find products quickly and check out with a friendly cashier that wanted me to take advantage of the extra staff they had on hand for loading assistance.

Its a farm store, what can I say. It offers a lot of different items and is great to get your bird seed and dog food.

Very well kept, friendly staff, but very sad coming in and seeing some dead baby ducks or chicks. I know its a part of life though.

My new chicks are so healthy and doing amazing!!! They are only a dollar each for 🐣 chicks this size at this Rural King in Harrisburg, Illinois. They had a bunch this size, two days ago May 17, 2021.

2 employees sent me in the wrong direction. Gun employee took me to the merchandise I was looking for. He was very nice.

I have learned to be disappointed with going here. They always have plenty of t-shirts with catchy phrases, yard ornaments, off the wall outdated food items and decorations but are usually out of stock or the location where the hard core farming item you need has another item stuffed in its place. I have also noticed you constantly have to chase down the location of where the item will be from the last time you were there. It really must be a let down to vendors that Im sure worked hard to negotiate allowing their brand into the stores and have their brands own employees come to the stores and build the display of lets say Dewalt tools to only find the area moved around or out of stock or the designated area plugged with fancy foo foo air fresheners or hand sanitizer. It appears once the initial stick of the display is sold down thats it for that brand because no one re orders or maintains it. Another one fir ya, you try to order an item online, it declines your order and says In Stores and yet online says limited stock! You go to the store to find they dont have any or have 2 and u need 9. Instead of them doing the leg work and contacting local stores and getting your quantity of 9. They tell you a store 45 min away has 5, another store has 2 and call ahead because u cant trust the online quantity the store website claims to have and tells u to have that store to do a visual of that item and hold it for you. Poor way of doing business....

Great place for buying unique products, also has pet products hunting product, clothes at a good price, so many things to choose from, grey place if you dont want to shop where there is a lot of people a clutter.

Great store, wonderful service as always!I only have one problem right now and thats that nobody wears a mask,the employees I seen all did but the customers look at you like their going to beat you up in that store for wearing a mask . it wasnt a very unpleasant feeling to say the very least. Only a handful of customers had mask and the others that didnt just blatantly defending protocol were rude and innocuous. I wont return until this passes

My only complaint is that I couldnt find the price on a few things. I was looking for a dog bed. Found some on a end cap, not a price to be found. I left without a bed. Looked at some leather gloves...no price. Other than that its a really nice store. Very clean

Bought a new 9mm from the gun barn. I cant remember the guys name(Travis??) but he was super helpful. They were very knowledgeable of what they had. I highly recommend the Harrisburg Rual King. Super friendly people as well.

RK has just about what you need, the the employees make you feel at home inner always courteous with a smile the only thing I wish they had more of is a gun selection and ammo but with the times as it is its hard to do for any business

A wonderful store with reasonably priced farm & home and hardware items. the only reason I give it a four is because they are getting worse that have enough people on duty. I walked all over the back of the store and that was no one to help me.

We showed up 15 minutes before they closed. After standing at the counter for 5 minutes waiting on the cashier to call her boss in order to figure out where the fence we wanted was located and finally determining it was outside, they then refused to sell my fiance the roll of fence because they were about to close and it was lightning with a light drizzle of rain, yet had an employee in the parking lot collecting shopping carts. They lost a good sale. Well never go back, except maybe to share our experience with a manager.

First of all getting some one that knows anything is bad enough but I made a purchase of ammo that is very hard to find these days so I was happy about that and didn’t have a problem with the two box a day limit but the sales man unintentionally gave me the wrong size so I went to exchange them for the correct size and the so called Manager said it was against her policy to exchange ammo I wasn’t wanting reimbursement I just wanted what I bought and with her degrading tone she just repeated herself ! I have a farm and I spend a lot there but I can go somewhere else just as easy

Good place but they should clean up and organize a little bit more. Maybe remodel the bathrooms. At less they have free popcorn and coffee. And there open till 9 if u need something. Its nice to see dogs there every once in a while, something different from other places.

Always courteous and helpful staff. I can usually find what I need, or ask a worker if I cant find it. Most seem very knowledgeable about their departments. The pricing is descent. Love their sales! You can get free popcorn when you walk in the door. You can bring a leashed pet.

This places customer service is ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING! I wasnt sure if they had something....when I walked in I asked the last at the cash register and she said yes, and found a young man to take me directly to where it was located.
