On 8/7/21 I took the concealed carry class with clay he was great. I’d recommend this location any day. The gun salesman is prior military and he’s amazing! You won’t regret it SHOP WITH SUPERIOR.

We went here to get some practice in and loved it. The range is smaller, but I preferred that. Ive been to larger ranges and it was overwhelming. The staff is very knowledgeable and kind. They arent just gun owners, but come from careers that support their knowledge

Ive had dealings with Superior for at least 15 years now and have always had a good experience. If there was any issues the staff couldnt handle the owner was quick to handle to satisfaction. If they didnt have something in particular I wanted they would go out of their way to find it and keep their price as reasonable as possible. When it comes to selling my used firearms theyve always giving me a fair price and treated me with respect. They were also very helpful with making modifications and Gunsmithing which they have on site in case any repairs or adjustments need to be made. Whatever your need Superior can handle it and are very fair with their prices and you will be treated with respect and most important the staff is extremely knowledgeable.

Superior Pawn & Gun has always been my go to gun purchasing store. The whole staff has always been very professional and knowledgeable. Two thumbs up to Chauncey Blackwell. I spoke with him on the phone about what I wanted prior to arriving at the store. He had several makes and models waiting for me upon my arrival. Professional staff, always great customer service. They have a great selection or can order what you are looking for. Also has an awesome layaway feature, lets you try out calibers on the range you just pay for the ammo. Plus there is a range membership that lets you bring a guest for free when you use the range (great for couples or if you have a buddy that wants to go). Highly recommend this place.

Excellent indoor range with outstanding ventilation. The range itself is definitely top notch. Very friendly and supportive staff. I called them a few times prior to visiting for the first time and each time they took the time to answer all of my questions and reassured all of my concerns. I was really impressed with the way they are willing to go to the extra mile to accommodate all of us in the Law Enforcement community. I changed my review because I went in today and stood there for 15 minutes looking at your used inventory without anyone acknowledging me. Hawk is the only reason why I did not give this place a 1 star rating. He is a great and honest guy so if you go here ask for him. Other than that I recommend going somewhere else

Hubby and I went there this past Wednesday to use the range for the first time. Thank you for a great afternoon. Excellent customer service. My sight flew off my 380 while shooting and they checked for it after hours but couldnt find it. Guess Ill have to buy a new sight later. I would definitely come again. :)

The trainer was so patient and wanted to make sure we felt comfortable. He kept asking us “Does that make sense?”, “Do you have questions?” This meant so much to me and my grandson. We are fans and will be back at least every other week. The other customers were so friendly and inviting. I love this place!!!

I called ahead to see if Superior Pawn has what I wanted. Caitlyn informed me that they did. I showed up with some stuff I wasn’t using and left with some stuff I can make use of. Doesn’t get more straight forward than that! The point of owning any business is to make money so I knew I had to come with items worth more than what they would give me for them so they could make a profit. The key was that I wasn’t using those items so they had no value to me. The transaction was smooth and amicable. I’ve bought firearms from these guys in the past, used their range and now have used their pawn services. Each time it was a good transaction or I wouldn’t have returned. Their gun shop has expanded and honestly their staff is top notch and very knowledgeable. I will do business with them again!

Overall great experience every time I come in! The staff is very knowledgeable and professional. The range is clean, and very safe for all shooters, whether you’ve shot for years, or if it’s your first time shooting! The showroom has a very wide selection at some of the best prices I’ve seen!

I understand being closed on the 4th of July; however, we called earlier in the week and asked if they would be open and were told that they would. We drove a good distance to shoot and when we arrived they were closed. There were several other customers in the parking lot. When we called, they even told us to get there early because they would probably be busy. We arrived at 10:00 to locked doors. Disappointed, especially in their customer service. Won’t bother with this place again.

Went in for the first time today for some range time. Signed in, bought some ammo and targets, shot, and I left, no problems at all. I was not shopping for a gun (but they did have many for sale), and they offer a VA CHL class if ur interested. My only ding really isnt against the store, but the price of 9mm FMJ ammo is ridiculous, but I guess thats just a sign of the times, retail availability, and my failure to have enough on hand to get thru these price surges. Ill go back after the cost of ammo drops back closer to pre-panic prices.Update: Went back to sell three no longer needed firearms. SP&G made me a fair offer and the sale/transfer process was quick and smooth. Another thumbs up!

Great guys and always happy to support a local business. Plus anything over $500 gets a $25 gift card and 7 range visits. It’s really nice to also try a gun and shoot 10 rounds for $10 to make sure you like the gun if they have a rental. Great experience.

This place is incredible. I really like how they split the business and made the pawn shop and the gun store/shooting range separate. This place has an outstanding selection of handguns and rifles. They typically carry handguns that are unique and that you cant find very often. The range is excellent for regular target practice with handguns. The range is fair priced and has a lot of rental handguns to choose from, not to mention a good selection of targets as well. As for the pawn shop, they have the best prices on jewelry i have ever seen. Great selection of electronics and tools/yard equipment as well. All the staff are very friendly and professional. If you want a great deal and great customer service i would highly recommend Superior. Support the small locally owned businesses instead of the big box stores that are in the area....

Used the range for the first time a few days ago. Staff is friendly and courteous. Range only has 6 lanes. But very convenient and location is good. I plan to return a couple of times a month. Looking at the selection of firearms, good selection and reasonable.

I think the most important factor that keeps me coming back is the attitude of the owner and the employees. Sure they want to make money, but they are sincerely friendly and good folks!! This is my go to Pawn and Gun shop. They are extremely fair, friendly, understanding and crazy knowledgeable. We go to them to shoot at the range, but things and pawn things. I have never had a bad experience there. When Ive run into any issues they accommodated me and my family. We go there so much they recognize us and greet us by name.

Good place to shoot. It is what it is though, dont imagine to shoot rifles or shotguns or go Rambo on your target, its a calm, sedate inside 50ft pistol range, and it does that well. Very clean, attentive staff, and all the staff had smiles on. Good joint for the money If you live in the Hampton area and dont want to pay 500 a year for Lafayette. I will definitely be returning.

The staff was amazing, helpful and very welcoming. The gun selection and prices were pretty good as well. The only minor complaint I have would be their ventilation system in the range; it started to get a bit cloudy and hard to breathe after about 30 min. Of shooting. Other than that its a great place for your gun needs.

The shop is nice & has a large selection of guns to chose from, and one thing I REALLY love is that you get 7 FREE RANGE VISITS with the purchase of a firearm. Excellent customer service. Listened and helped me pick out the perfect gun. Experienced people showed me how to clean, load, aim, and fire the gun. They also explained the laws in Virginia.

A girlfriend of ours planned a girls night out...at a gun range. We all thought it was a bit out of our league, but we went. IT WAS AMAZING! We learned specifics about gun safety, proper techniques (how to hold a gun, load a gun, etc.), and gun range etiquette (I know that’s not the right word, but you know what I mean). IT WAS AMAZING! Great service especially for the range. They answered all questions without hesitation. The range is a little small but has outstanding ventilation and very user friendly. Their rentals are always cleaned and oiled. I recommend it to anyone.

Took a CC class with Clay and he was very eager, respectful, and an effective teacher. I brought two friends with me who were also interested in CC. This was my first step into the gun culture and he made it a great experience. We were offered a free hour on the shooting range and decided to take advantage of the deal. I got some odd looks from some of the staff because I had never been on a range before and was anxious to not make a mistake or foul in any way. As I waited for my turn, one employee working made some sort of joke to the older employee, “Garby”. Something about “ancient Hebrew” and then made another remark saying, “well by the way things are going in the world better get used to it...” I’m sure it was just a joke, despite it not being funny, but as a professional establishment it would behoove your employees to not make anti Semitic comments like that. Everyone in the store heard it because he had to say it loudly to he heard over shooting range. Don’t know if I’ll be back to buy my first firearm from there, especially if those comments reflect the views of this establishment, but otherwise it was an empowering experience and I appreciated the service from Hawk, Garby, and Clay.

Great experience. They took the time to endure I was comfortable with my gun before I made the purchase. Paperwork was easy and didn’t take long to complete.

Helpful staff and guy who was dealing with me was pleasant. It’s to bad he’s not a Glock guy. I probably would’ve got offered just a little bit more for my Glock. Although sad about the offer I am very happy with my new purchase and will definitely suggest to any of my friends.

Was robbed of 200 dollars because of a new law that just came out. They said they were going to refund me then when I got there to get my refund they refused unless they could get something out of the deal. Very unprofessional and money hungry they could never get another dollar of mine

6 lanes of indoor shooting, well maintained facility & well ventilated. I don’t enjoy shooting indoors, but the staff is excellent, and that makes the experience enjoyable. Nice selection of merchandise for the firearms enthusiast, as well as gunsmith services. Check them out.

Great place to purchase guns Ken and Jesse are very knowledgeable about guns, accessories, and ammo. The range is good havent had any problems shopping here the customer service is great. The layaway program here is perfect especially if youre on a budget, I would say my overall experience with them has been great Ive purchased all of my firearms from here so far and havent had any issues and bad service. I read one review where someone complained about them being racist, well Im African American never once got treated wrong due to my race, never once got a racist comment out of anyone there and/or never once felt a racist vibe. Theyve always treated me with respect and as a valued customer.

Conveniently located. Very friendly staff. They have great selection of targets and offer a very nice Law Enforcement discount.Only drawback is the lanes are really close together . But unless it is full then crowding isnt an issue.

Checked out the gun shop and range. Staff was very friendly. I had to wait a few minutes on a range stall to open but that’s okay. I talked with some nice folks while a spot opened up. The guys gave me a couple quotes on new guns as well. A nice surprise was to see that they offer a layaway deal on firearms. It’s also the only place I’ve found that sells Balistol.

Kelly provides great customer service and is very friendly.They make beautiful custom made holsters to your specifications. Made by Grady.My experience isnt based on a pawn. This is pretty much my gun store. They have a 4 lane shooting range. The waiting period isnt too long to get on the range, but it can get packed during peak hours (after 5). You can also get your gun smith services done here as well.As far as what I saw of pawned items, the selection isnt very impressive.Mario Ruffino is an outstanding gunsmith. He can identify a problem in seconds of seeing a weapon. Superior has a gunsmith named Mark P. and I tried getting work done by him, but kept getting the run around. Thats when I went to Mario and I was absolutely pleased with his work and customer service.

Greetings Jay Dunbar, I recently had a pawn experience that did not go as planned. I made a payment on a loan for the remaining interest the loan had accrued on the 24th of August. I had a great pay history and paid off loans in the past. This one time I lost track of my due date became late and the loan went into default on 9/24. Up until this time I would always get text updates and reminders about my loan. This particular month I did not get any. I was told that someone left a voicemail but I never got that either. My pawn items were confiscated/pulled on the 9th of October. I called to inquire about my loan on the 12th of October and I was told that my items were not there by one employee. Then told they were still there by another. The third person I spoke to on that following business day said that they have already be sent to a refinery. I am so heartbroken about this because one of those items were a special inheritance piece from a late grandmother. I am devastated that the loan agreement ended like this. I had all intentions to pay a satisfy the debt like I have always done before. This piece was a Jewish necklace charm with the star of david placed in the middle of a gold nugget. The fact that my gold pieces are gone and how I was treated so unfairly I know this is discrimination because. I am African American and so was my Grandmother. This gold piece was the foundation to me understanding my familes history and cultural influence. I believe I was racially discriminated against because of the looks I would get from the employees whenever I showed the piece to the the pawnbrokers. They wanted it and couldnt understand why I had such a religious and sacred piece. The lack of information regarding me paying only the interest on the loan back in August and now being told I should have paid more that day make me understand so much clear that It was planned and intentioanlly done so that I would loose the jewelry. I never imagined being in this situation. I am not trying to accuse your employees of anything.I am only stating my experience and how I was treated. I cannot understand how come my items were pulled on the 9th, and nowhwere in sight on the 12th. No one can give me correct answers. I was not treated Fair. I want to share my experience to help someone else not go through what I experienced. That gold piece was very precious and dear to me. Im a single, hardworking mother and I needed the money for a bill. Im not some street junky without a job. This was a big mistake. I didnt even get an opportunity to try to buy it back and this is not right I know I am within my rights. yes. I did miss the due date for the payment but I feel that this was intentionally done because I always got a heads up payment reminder. I have always had a open honest communication with the staff and purposely they waited until i missed the date to snatch my stuff so quickly with out notice. As I humbly vent the worst financial experience I have encountered, I can only image what my Grandmother went through to inherit that piece jewelry in the first place. Okay... Let this be known, I NEVER put reviews up, but god this place man... You have to buy frangible ammo that they upcharge the absolute hell out of. A dollar a bullet... and when you get a box of 50. you can see that added up fast! and ironically the only thing that saved me from buying another box unknowingly for the price is that they ran out of ammo! Didnt tell me anything about the pricing or anything UNTIL they rung me up. I paid more than a 100 dollars for an hour of range time and a box of 50 special rounds. PLEASE take the drive to other ranges. Its not worth spending a cent at theirs. The ONLY reason Im giving them 2 stars is for their variety of rental guns and guns for sale.

Whole staff was awesome. MJ and Ken were the ones who helped me. They had awesome attitudes even when the shop was busy. You can tell they enjoy there work. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

Shopping for my first gun was a little rough. This is the first place I went. The salesman lied to me about being $100 cheaper than any other store for the SR9c and tried to tell me that he was active duty military (hes gotta be nearly 40 years old and working full time at the pawn shop so this is not possible). I found the gun for cheaper at several stores and nearly $100 cheaper at the base BX.Pros: the gun range is alright. The guy who works the gun range is cool.
