Today was my first time coming to Dream Beauty Supply. The staff was so nice and helpful. I had no clue what type of hair to buy for my braids. The young lady was so patient with me. This is my new go to! I only wish I had known about this place sooner!

The women in their were very helpful.They helped me with different selections that may work for my sons hair.IVE NEVER BEEN TO A BEAUTY SUPPLY STORE WHERE I WAS ACTUALLY HELPED.The products i purchased were awesome and i will be purchasing again.I live far (but i stay 2 minutes away from a different beauty supply store)and i will ABSOLUTELY drive back for all my hair supplies in the future.Their customer service was everything and i highly recommend them.My new go to spot

The new little girl with braids that started working here is rude. Her tone is aggressive. & nasty. I like the other girl better. She is friendly, patient & helpful. The mask mandate in the business needs to end. Its discouraging to enter. Other people are saying the same thing about this location.

I come here often and always have a great experience... I recommend this location to so many people. Today I stopped by quickly as I had limited time. Google said they opened at 9:30am and I got there at 10:15am to a dark store and locked door. What’s the point in being listed on google with your business hours if you’re not actually open?

Friendly atmosphere. the aisles are to closed together. Still quite new, but they are always stocking the shelves.

Such a warm experience. Genuine & kind customer service. I didnt realize that Id never been to a black owned beauty supply before and the experience was different. The energy of this business is peaceful & wholesome. I never felt so welcome before. Will be back for sure!

I go there all the time. I Love it. I literally spent hundreds of dollars there. Last night I needed help with a piece and they helped me get the right hair the right amount of packs and the perfect color that will compliment my dress. Since they opened they actually been the best beauty supply store and I go out my way from norfolk to go to this one.

I love this place and love black owned business. However, the operation hours are not correct. I look them up on Google and it says open, go too the site and they are closed. Happened to me twice! When are you open and would you consider being open earlier?

I really love this beauty supply store because I love to support anything black owned but I had a terrible experience today, I went in the store to buy some edge control and the lady that rung me up on the register had a very nasty attitude. She spoke to me as if I was incompetent and The person I was with even told her she could keep the change and instead of saying thank you she proceeded to ask her why she waited until she collected all the change to say that, even though we were trying to be nice. Her nasty attitude towards us made me want to stop shopping there and I hope that something will be done about this. By the way it was not the sweet young lady with the darker complexion that’s usually in there. To the lady that rung us up, you’re lucky I’ve turned my life over to God sweetie.

Would not give this store any type of rating but I have to give 1 star so I can post my terrible experience here! Walk in store was not greeted as I guess cause I was white! Was being watched like a hawk like I was going to steal something. Light skin female who was working register very rude and disrespectful and told me my kind was not welcome in this store!! Needless to say there was a brief argument between us. I alway support small black businesses!! But as for this one the need to teach there employees some respect!!!

Went to this beauty supply store because the one I usually go to was closed before 8 p.m. Got a chance to meet the owner and she was very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. The prices were even CHEAPER than my regular spot! Needless to say, I think she gained a customer! I will be back! Being black-owned is a PLUS! :)

I love coming into this store ! This is the only place I can find design essentials for a reasonable price! Every time i’m here the girl at the register is always so sweet and knowledgeable about the products in the store .On top of that, they’re black owned !

I dont really go there to shop, but it is a great store and they have a huge amount of inventory to choose from. A lot of nice products too. I go there specifically for this one girl that works there that caught my eye lmao. I dont know exactly what she looks like, but I do know that shes brownskin and I think she has braids or faux locs and she had them up in a little half-up ponytail. I go in there all the time with my friend just to see her, but I can never work up the nerve to talk to her. I know trying to get in contact with someone through a review seems kinda weird and to the owner, if you see this I hope Im not wasting your time. I cant believe Im even doing this but to the pretty girl with the braids and the soft voice, if you happen to see this... I think youre really cute and I would love to get to know you. I came to the store at exactly 8pm and instead of saying I couldn’t come in, the girl with the long braids unlocked the door for me and allowed me to shop. Being that it was my first time there, the store is very nice and carried a ton of products . Hopefully, next time I come I can spend more time in there !

Omg! I LOVEEEEEE THIS HAIR STORE!!! First things first! It’s blacked owned❤️ They carry all of the top products and are well informed on which ones your hair type needs! Sooooo helpful for someone who doesn’t have time to sit and watch reviews and judge on her own. I was also amazed by all of the high quality lace fronts they have! Super soft and natural! Even their Tik-Tok and synthetic wigs are poppin and everything is SUPER affordable. The owner was so nice! She let me in to shop a little bit before the store officially opened. She saw me standing outside waiting. Y’all that helped out so much! I had a really busy morning. I totally give Dream Beauty five stars for their fantastic customer service and positive attitude. GO CHECK THEM OUT LADIESSSSS! 😊

Simply put this store is amazing! The prices are very reasonable the staff are friendly, helpful, AND don’t harass you while you shop. It is inspiring to see black people stepping into and feeling roles where we are needed! By shopping at Mels businesses I not only support black owned business but a well managed and thoughtful business, the experience is 10 out of 10!

Most of the times when I come here they are closed, they open when they feel like it .

I’ve come here multiple times and google says they are open but no one is ever here. If your hours have changed please post that. It says you open sundays at 12 it is currently 12:40 and still no one is here.

Supposed to open at 12:00. Staff didn’t get there until 1220. When I asked about the time, staff stated they open between 12:00-12:20, with no apologies. Maybe they should put that on google. So people aren’t wasting there time.

Terrible experience! Completely unorganized! Boxes of braiding hair was all over the place. No customer service help was given. Will never return! Hope this improves because I wanted to support a black owned beauty supply store but until another one is opened in 757, I will just have to stick to Vietnamese beauty supply stores.

I shopped at this business and the salesgirl did not want to help me.I had to go to the head woman to get help.What I wonder is WHY the salesgirl wouldn’t help me? Wow! So unprofessional they are never open. Will literally open up hours later if they even open at all. I drive over there just to turn around when their website says they are open! Would love this place if they knew how to open up on time or update their time on google.

I come to this beauty supply store atleast 2x a week its like a one stop shop for me from my Dr. BRONNERS wash to beads for my kids hair everyone is so warm welcoming and helpful everytime I come in and the store is always stocked and clean so happy that this store is in my local shopping center now been waiting ever since they took Sally away a few years ago

Called the day before to see what the hours were or if they were going to be open since it was July 4th and the gentleman who answered said they would be open from 10am-8pm. Arrived at 10:01 a.m waited til 10:20 and no one showed up. I did my part. Smh
