I was so happy they finally reopened after the storm. I had to go pick up my necklace.

It is a pretty nice store. You can find employees in different locations in the store and they are glad to help you. The only thing I didnt like was they have some of the same things in different places. If you like walking and exercise, this is the place for you.

Good deals and great selection of clothes. I appreciate Ms. Lora for helping me find clothes for my grandkids. She was very patient and friendly. Prices along with selection are reasonable and plentiful.

The store was clean. Not anyone around for customer service. I was able to speak with a young lady in the makeup area. Checkout was fast. Great customer service there. If they would have had someone on the floor I would have given a five 🌟.

I ordered curbside and there was no signs in the parking lot for curbside. I had to go inside the store and was told there was a tiny 8x11 sign with small writing on the side of the main entrance door. It is not visible from the parking lot. They could not find half of my order. I was in the store at least 20 minutes. I could have shopped my items in the store in this amount of time. The whole purpose was contact free shopping. They touched my drivers license, my cell phone, my credit card, and I had to sign a pad. This was the worse curbside experience ever. Very unorganized!

Needs more clearance and better clothes

I have shopped for a long time at JcPenney and I am tired of the poor customer service from my last two visits. There is no need to shop for clothing if I can not try on the clothes. Even though, the dressing is supposed to be open I never get to try on clothes. At my recent visit we got in the dressing room line close to 6 pm (5 min before because I work) and waited for 10 minutes and then the employee came to put up the closed sign.

Very disappointed at how dirty the store is and how the employees have no motivation to work quickly. Line was a mile long and they just acted as though there was nobody there waiting.

Girl on phone for curbside was downright rude.

Lines are long. It would have help, if the cashier had the coupons at the counter. Customer searching for coupons on theirs phone. Thats what take so much time.

I always get Good Service at this JCPenney. A fairly large selection on clothes with Great prices. I would also recommend getting the JCPenney card.

Went there around noon today to pick up an order I’d placed online. Forgot to get her name but the woman working the returns/online order pickup counter was so sweet,confidant and helpful. And she kept that line moving! GREAT JOB!

Went in to do an exchange for something ordered online. They were helpful and completed the exchange for me quickly. Ordered it to be shipped to the store for pickup to avoid another shipping fee. Overall good experience.

Nice sale going on. Found everything I went in there for. Actually looked at several items to purchase but there was no price on any of the boxes. No sign, nothing. Could have had possibly additional sale had merchandise been tagged. No salesperson near by to help and it wasnt something I was going to hunt someone down for to ask about. All in all though I was pleased with the store.

NEVER ANYONE THERE TO HELP WHEN YOU NEED IT. THE jewelry is HORRIBLE quality, super expensive and they are PUSHY to force you into buying a protection plan. The jewelry isnt made well and will fall off of you. I bought $1700 pair of gold and diamond earrings that has not fastened correctly and they say, well you DIDNT BUY THE PLAN. WELL HOW ABOUT SELLING GOOD JEWELRY????????? DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!! GO TO A REAL JEWELLER

Pushy salespeople. She practically forced clothes on us, shoved my friend toward the dressing room. But I couldnt find Anyone in the shoe dept to help. After being badgered to buy, my friend got to the car saying he didnt want the things, he just felt bad saying no since she was so nice. I sent him back inside to return the items he didnt want. I got a nice dress but No Shoes so I still had to find a shoe store.

Compared to other Jcpenney stores this one is small and does not have much in it. The juniors section did not have much of a selection and it resembled a store getting ready to close its doors.

I went to buy some dress shoes for work had some trouble trying to decipher what shoes are on what sale price.. there was not a soul working near the shoe department from 6:30is untill I left. I finnaly figured out and settled on 2 pair mainly because I was just tired of looking, headed to front to check out and that is where they redeemed themselves a very nice young man scanned the shoes even added a little more discount to the shoes I left spending 94dollars regular would have been 160 plus

Employees are helpful, friendly and respectful. The store is set up a little odd, but I’ve only been here a few times. I also didn’t have to wait for an hour to check out on Black Friday (like other stores)

Sales were amazing, the prices really impressed me. There was a large variety, they had something for everyone.

The manager, Brandon, was a huge help and promptly assisted us. We recommend asking for Brandon in regards to large purchases such as mattresses.

Went there last Friday evening around 7:30 and could not find any help...so I went to the front and asked, is there anyone working the mens dept? The woman responded w an attitude and told me that there was but theyre helping someone else- in the childrens dept...suggestion: have more than 1 associate assigned to multiple departments. If you go, dont ask for help.

I kept getting emails of a sale so I went shopping. The sale was 40% off certain items which would have been awesome, however, you had to buy an item for full price to get the sale. I have never seen a sale of this nature other than at JCpenney.

This is the most horrible JCPenney’s. It took 3 weeks to receive a order that was shipped to the store. 4 days of calling customer service and going back and forth to the store, they said my orders were never shipped because of a shortage so they issued a refund. After they issued a refund, a couple hours later I get a text that says my items were at the store for pickup. Come to find out there was a shipment of items that were delivered and they had been sitting on the dock for about a week! Ridiculous!

If you shop when they’re having sales, you can really get a good deal. And their clothes & swimsuits are much cuter than they used to be!

Not only is JC Penny one of my favorite department stores but they have Sephora inside and we had a blast doing our makeup, experimenting, and getting great tips.

This store has the worst service. I notice the same people standing around talking with other employees doesnt matter how long the line. Three people talking behind counter while one working the register. Need outside management to come in and clean house. Im telling you its the same people talking to each other and dont care that your even standing there. This starts with the current management. Its almost like they are better than you.

Pretty good place to shop for clothes. Sales are great and sale PRICES are great too. Regular pricing not so great.

The service at this location is horrible. Store associates need better training on how to process transactions and learn the stores merchandise system. Ive never worked at JCPenney but it is a shame that I had to tell the store associate how to complete an order in the system and cancel a pending item.

Now the service here is pretty slow but that’s a common theme of most department stores. Don’t think you’re going to run in and pick up your online order. Carve out about 30-45 minutes. I had one person in front of me and it seems like time goes in reverse here. But it is much more organized than the JCP in Metairie. I went at opening and the workers were actually helpful. The displays were laid out neatly and you could find the size you were looking for. There are miniature baskets to put your items in. Everything is fine until checkout time. Play on your phone while you wait.

Kathy from the mens clothing section was so helpful. I was buying clothes for my grandmothers funeral and she gave good advice on the color tie to match my shirt and was very nice. Kathy ur awesome!

Why does JCP only have two open registers for the whole store? JCP, you need to do better. I see from the other reviews Im not the only one the thinks the service is horrible.

Poor customer service not only from this store, but JCP in general. I purchased 4 pair of jeans, which were buy 1 get 1 half off. I noticed only one rang up half off. The cashier “didn’t know” why the other didn’t ring up, and she said there was “nothing she could do about it”. I should have asked for the manager then and there but I could tell she was getting aggravated. 3 days later I come back with the receipt and tags of the jeans. A rude customer associate told me I had to have the jeans, and that there was nothing else that could be done. I was not trying to return the jeans, I just wanted my money back for what should have been discounted in the first place. She then tried to argue that some styles weren’t on sale, but EVERY section of men’s Levi jeans had the sign displayed, so there were no exclusions. To make things worse, she said if I don’t come back with the merchandise by the next day when the sale ends, they will not be able to refund me my money that should have been discounted on day one. I am VERY dissatisfied with JCP’s policy, not for returns, but THEIR ERROR. And of course, the manager could not be reached. Will NOT be shopping here again.

This location is a sorry excuse for retail. The back to school sale has been going on since early July and there hasnt been a single new shipment of new school clothes. The store is severely understaffed, theres never more then 2 people working in a department. If youre lucky, you get help when you can, because theyll get called away to work on the understaffed registers. The theft rates are outrageous as well, they refuse to prosecute thieves. Management practically encourages it with their complacency. And dont even get me started on how the store looks. I feel sorry for the people who work there, tirelessly, on the same unending projects. I see this store going no where but down unless there is an overhaul of management.

Worst customer service by members of management ever!!!! Went to Penneys tonight to purchase a new purse and wallet. Spent over 1/2 an hour selecting the products I wanted. When I reached the cash register the clerk took the wallet I had selected and said there was an emergency stop sale on it and she couldnt sell it to me. She let me speak to the Cashier Supervisor whom I questioned because the item was on the shelf and priced to be sold so they basically had to sell it to me. She stated she couldnt and wouldnt sell it to me and that was that.....when I wanted to continue the conversation was was basically brushed off and treated as if I were insignificant. The cashier actually apologized to me on my way out the door. Is it any wonder why the store in Hammond is void of shoppers most of the time.

Home dept manager was rude. Didnt recieve everything I ordered online and was basically told there was nothing they could do. No wonder they are going bankrupt

I dont visit often, but when I do, its usually quick in and out. I normally do not have any issues with this store. During the holidays, it gets hectic, but overall this is a nice store.

No associate on the floor except in Sephora we only stopped in to make a return the cashier was wonderful. The woman Ashley in Sephora was wonderful. We looked around at some bathing suits but it was a huge mess so we couldnt find anything.
