I was thinking about buying a new stereo system for my car and was shopping around. I walked in and just stood there for 5 minutes or more. I saw a man having a very animated cell conversation and didnt know if he was the owner or not. Then this guy wonders out of the back area and muttered something about I didnt know you were here. Can I help you? I wanted just a very basic system and he gave me a price. But guess what, he just sold the last one he had. As for myself, I will not be returning to his place of business;

Not much of a selection on pipes and such. Stickers, incense, and CDs are the main things that caught my eyes. Great deals for stickers. Wish they had a larger verity. Also the skateboard accessories were pretty neat!

Will never shop here again this 1 particular guy has a rude attitude and he is very unprofessional this is nothing like the old Music Express will not do business with again!

Music Express is the Jam! I was very appreciative that they took the time to explain all the options to me. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about all aspects of what they do. The pricing was reasonable and the installation was flawless and efficient. I felt very safe leaving my vehicle with them. Small upgrade or crazy out of the box stuff - They do it all!

Our experience with these folks was horrible. We drove 45 miles to their shop, left our vehicle there and were told later that they had decided they did not want to do the work. They said they did not know how to do the basic installation of a stereo on a van conversion. What is odd is that the stereo in the front of the van is the same as any other van, but they claimed to not work on vans.They had promised to help out with a ride that would have only been two miles from the shop, then reneged later - lying and claiming they had not made the offer - out of pure spite.Happily, all ended well because we took our vehicle to another, much more experienced shop and had adults work on it instead. The work the new shop did was phenomenal - they are highly skilled and experienced (almost 30 years of experience) and it shows.Music Express Car Audio and Skate Shop are the most immature, unprofessional group of people we have ever encountered in a business setting.Not recommended.

My recent experience with Music Express surpassed all my expectations! My dealership quoted me an insanely high price to get my radio swapped out as it went on the fritz. Music express did the same job with better quality and service for 20% of the original quoted price by the dealership. It was done in 20 min flat! Dont let the small town location fool you. This is a well versed and extremely skilled team of home and car audio professionals! This guy is only one of a FEW high end audio dealers (i.e. Focal). If you dont know what Focal is, then you probably cant afford it. Regardless, dont make the mistake of going elsewhere. Music Express pricing and perfection is on point!

So after having major technical difficulties with my custom designed stereo on my 4 wheeler, I decided to Google car stereo repair in Hammond LA.I briefly discussed my problem with my amplifier over heating and BJ the owner told me to bring it by his shop for a simple bench test...After a successful bench test and a very professional and interesting conversation with the owner, he decided to install a cooling fan within my amplifier enclosure. He not only told me step by step how to hook it up with new wiring that I purchased from him, he also drew me a very nice diagram of how to do so.I would definitely recommend this business to anyone in need of not only parts and labor as well professional detailed information.Thanks for all of your help today :)Doug

BJ is a genius with wiring. I was having some issues with things not working correctly in my vehicle, they were able to diagnose the problem and get me all fixed up in no time. I live in New Orleans but drive all the way to Hammond just to make sure Im in good hands with people I trust. I highly recommend them for any car audio work you need done.

First shop where the installer came and talked to me about my build, and was willing to show me what I needed as opposed to what he could make a quick buck on. Best installation work Ive seen vs. several shops in Slidell, Covington, and Baton Rouge at very fair pricing. If youre considering upgrading from stock, or even looking to upgrade your after market system, Music Express is the place you want to go to get the correct information for you vehicle and have them help you with the installation.

New owners are rude! I have been buying cds from this place for years. My daughter was with me and she was looking at all the album covers while I looked too. I was not letting her mix them up. The owner walked through and rudly told a worker, Hey can you fix all these cds before she destroys all of them. I will never come back again! Seriously? What the hell?

So Ive never once been compelled to leave a review but this place was so fantastic that I just had to breakdown and do it!! Music Express is by far one of the BEST shopping experiences Ive ever had. They were extremely friendly, very helpful and actually listened to what I wanted/needed without trying to oversell me on something else. Which honestly, it could have been easy to do since I didnt know much about car audio!BJ was very knowledgeable, professional and did my install in only 20 minutes! Other stores told me it would have to be scheduled and would take anywhere from 2 days to a week! Ive done my research and I know for a fact they have the best install prices in the Hammond and BR area! (BR & Big Box stores were 2xs higher) Not to mention the best quality products with the BEST SERVICE youll ever find! I picked out my stereo and walked out of the door with it installed in less than an hour! (I think it was actually closer to 45 mins!)I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE support this local business! (No more box stores!!!) I had such an awesome experience yesterday that Im heading back there later today to purchase more equipment and give them more of my money!!! They earned a customer for life yesterday and Ive already referred several people to them. Youd be CRAZY to shop anywhere else!
