I recently had my 2014 Sonata in the service department at Bill Hood Hyundai for an engine replacement. The job was completed faster than expected and the service was excellent. This was the second time my vehicle had service at this location and no issues. I had to give this review only four stars because i had some special tire valve caps that my wife loved stolen from me. We reported it to the service manager who said it could have been some kids passing through may have taken them off and he would replace them with some regular ones. I know its not his fault but it looks bad on a department when something, anything comes up missing. Valve caps one day and something more expensive the next day. I took out everything of value from the car before and didnt think someone would take valve stem caps. So if you have to bring your vehicle in for service, remove everything that can be stolen off and from it. Very petty and sad but i guess it my fault like they all tell you.

Service department has ensured that I will never do any business here again. I will never purchase another vehicle from here. Love my car and the guy that sold it to me, but dealing with the service department for oil changes, maintenance, and tires has been absolutely awful. I can’t get anyone on the phone hardly ever and when I do I can’t take what they say as truth Bc I’ll get there and everything is different. Be ready to wait 3+ hours just for one tire and the service advisors won’t tell you how long your wait time is expected to be. They won’t update you during that wait to let you know what is going on and when you finally have to go up to the counter and ask what’s going on they treat you as though you’re the rudest person they’ve ever met. This has been my experience the last 4 times!!! I will never ever ever do business here again after today. This is an awful way to make a customer feel.

Fair price on vehicle. Didnt try to tack on fees after price was negotiated. I test drove 2 models and bought the vehicle Monday, even though the trim I wanted wasnt in stock. They got the vehicle from a different dealership and I drove it away the next day. Also, salesperson (James Mike Price) was friendly and showed me how everything worked. I would definitely recommend him. Do your homework before going to any dealership, so you know a fair price when you see it.

Don’t ever go to bill hood for a car key replacement. They say it take 3 days for it to be made and programmed but it takes more like 3 weeks. They lie and say it’ll be ready but when u call them they don’t pick up sends you right to voicemail then when you actually show up to the place they say that it hasn’t even been made. So we tried to call a local place that makes keys for a cheaper price and he was gonna do it that same day. But once we arrived they said that the local key maker can not make key for us cause we’re under a contract and that our key will be ready tomorrow. But I could’ve sworn that the key hasn’t even been made. They charge too much for a key to be made anyways so pllllzzzz if you lose your key call a local car key maker instead of a dealership. Very disappointed and will not work with any billhood car dealership ships ever. There are places that exist that are cheaper and have better customer service

Easiest car buying experience ever. My salesman and finance manager both get an A+++++ . I told the salesman over the phone the exact car I wanted. We agreed on a VERY good price over the phone. I drove two hours there and everything was just as promised. The exact car and the exact price. No surprise fees and no push to buy add-ons. Easy, friendly, and an overall pleasant experience. Reviewing service I received a couple months ago from Mr. Paul and the service department: Mr. Paul was so helpful with doing major engine repairs on my vehicle. He was able to use my warranty I bought from Bill Hood, did an excellent job of explaining to me what repairs needed to be done and why, even providing picture evidence when necessary. He found solutions that worked for my needs and my budget and the quality of work was great as my car is running great again! When another dealership‘s service department was trying to give me a run around and not do their best for me Mr. Paul cut through all the fluff and told me exactly what he could do for me honestly, which is so invaluable these days. Great place to buy a car. When other dealers gave me the run around, the salesman at this dealership made a point to be honest and upfront. The pricing was transparent and they didnt try and upsell anything. He listened to what I said I needed and actually gave me what I needed. I can not express how painless they made the process. No one seemed pushy or aggressive. They respect your personal space and avoid the head games.If you need a car I highly recommend this dealer. Ask for Jerry. He is awesome.

I am a firm believer that good customer service, and an exceptional buying experience should be recognized. I had a hassle free buying experience at Bill Hood this past week. Met with the salesman Kevin on Friday evening to test drive and discuss some numbers. Decided to take the evening to think things over, and gave Kevin a call on Saturday. Went back in to finalize things, and come to an agreement. Bill hood is a no pressure, professional car buying experience. They are fair in their pricing and are willing to work with any budget. Scott the sales manager was also very kind. Steven in finance was great. Trying to give everyone their shout out. Finally Mr. Jerry, with whom my parents have purchased multiple vehicles, gave me a thorough run down of the ins/outs of my new car. My first, and previous car buying experience from a dealership in New Orleans was nothing compared to this. I will purchase all my vehicles from Bill Hood, thanks again!!UPDATE: 4/8/2020Just purchased my wife a 2020 Sante Fe from Mr. Jerry at Bill Hood. Going with bill hood was the best decision ive ever made! i live in pineville, 3 hours away from bill hood in hammond and was worth the drive in the pouring rain. i was looking for a 2019 hyundia elantra locally at places such as m&m hyundai and was a little discouraged about the price. jerry from bill hood was able to come down over 1,000 dollars farther than anyone else. upon arriving to bill hood, we were greeted by jerry and received excellent service throughout the process. we drove away feeling wonderful about our purchase and have received many follow ups from jerry and his team at bill hood!

World class service department led by one of the most professional service managers that I have ever encountered.LES was absolutely professional, honest and amicable.I drove to Hammond after two attempts to have preventative maintenance performed by my local Hyundai dealership here in Covington. Every time I get my car serviced here it’s just a down right horrible experience. I’ve had to wait extreme amounts of times for basic services such as oil changes or changing a tire. The people at the service desk are always rude, don’t seem to completely know what they’re talking about, and seem to try to over charge you or force not needed services on you. The last time I went however, will be the last time. I bought a defective tire that blew out within the first year. The team argued with me and said I never bought the tire from there and that they don’t do tire warranties. So I brought my receipt and it was funny how fast they could see that I did buy the tire all the sudden too. They continued to argue that it wasn’t the tire however until the eventually changed it. I had to wait 3 1/2 hours to get the tire fixed then. Then when I asked for a manager, they told me to call back tomorrow. Called the service department the next day to ask for their manager, they said they’ll take my number and have them call me back. I’ve never been called back

Ive had my 2019 Nissan Pathfinder for almost 4 months now and Im in love with it! Im very impressed with the gas mileage and the space of the 3rd row seating. I love the extra storage space in the hatch (its where I store all my workout gear) Kyle Brown was an outstanding salesman. I wouldnt even grant this dealership, or service department, one star!!!!!I had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience with the service department. I will NEVER step foot on this lot again and will continue to share my experience with anyone who is affiliated with their lot.I have a Hyundai Sonata, 2013 limited model. I have been hearing a noise with my engine, even after it got serviced by them. I was told by Gerber collusion to contact the service man, Erik, to follow up with the review. After SEVERAL attempts to follow up, I NEVER got a call back from them.One day, about two weeks later, my problems progressed. I attempted to call once again and spoke with a man named Les. He was COMPLETELY rude and insisted that there were NO problems because THEY serviced it. I told him, Sir, I would not call if I was no longer having service trouble.Three days later, after having more problems with the car, I came into the office and spoke with a guy and told him all of the problems I was having with the car. he told me that I would have to speak with Erik, who serviced the car prior to me coming in.When Erik entered the room, he came in with disbelief and a horrible attitude, stating that the car has a clean bill of health and that there is nothing wrong with my car because THEY serviced it, along with Progressive and Gerber. THEN, he made the remark, I think youre making up an excuse because you just dont want the car. I was horribly offended by the way he spoke to me, when all I was asking was for someone to listen to my engine.(Let me make this point clear: If i did not want a car, I would either sell it, or not buy it in the first place!)I told him that I will be taking my car to get a second opinion, and will be turning it into the insurance company and he threw the clipboard on the desk and stormed out.I am disgusted by the way I was treated.I have tried to seek higher management but have failed.I am leaving this comment so others know the professionalism of their service department. The service dept at this dealership is horrible, they will tell you whatever they can trying to get you to spend more money than needed, I went for an oil change they came back saying my air filters needed to be changed, when they were just changed recently. I was told the wait was 30-45 mins I waited way over an hour, when I told them I didn’t want anything else done besides an oil change there attitude changed and I was told it would be an additional 20 minutes till my car would be ready. I will be visiting another dealership just to avoid giving this one my business again. save yourself the time and go to another dealership.

My husband and I would have had a wonderful experience at Bill Hood Hyundai and left with a 2020 Hyundai Elantra Limited had their sales manager, Scott Navarra, not explicitly treated my husband and I as if we were below him due to our young age. He completely degraded us by repeatedly telling us we could not afford the car and asked us multiple times if we “knew how much money we were financing”. We had very well done our research on the brand new car we were buying, along with multiple test drives and coming in on two separate occasions to speak with our salesman Jerry, who was nothing but helpful, kind, and understanding. We were ready to buy when Scott Navarra refused to run our credit and was arrogant and rude when we asked simple questions concerning the finances. After we had enough of not being taken seriously by Scott, we ended up driving to Hyundai of Metairie the next day and were treated with the utmost kindness and respect and left that day with our 2020 Elantra Limited. Scott told us multiple times we could not afford the car and would need a cosigner, among other things that were simply derogatory due to his arrogant persona. We are happily financing and loving our new car that we are able to afford with ease.

Extremely unprofessional. Take your business elsewhere. I made an appointment for service using their online scheduling system. I never received a confirmation. So, this morning I called to confirm the time of my appointment and got sent to voicemail. Left a polite message and asked for a call back. Two hours later, no call. So I called again and got sent to voicemail. Decided to call a third time and speak to the operator. She was nice and promised I could just bring my car in any time today and then offered to transfer me to Mr. Les who could help me out. Unfortunately, Mr. Les didnt answer and didnt return my call. Around 1:15pm I decided to head to the dealership to get an oil change. I found that the service department was closed and locked. I went into the main lobby and was partially greeted by a sales man eating his lunch. I asked if the service department was open and he told me they close at 2. I explained that I had an appointment and that I had called several times today and that no one had answered. He said I could try to go over to Nissan and get an oil change - but at that point I decided Id take my business elsewhere.Complete waste of time.

We were jerked around about price. Which we expected, this is a dealership. And honestly, thats not what bothered us the most. It was the finances guys professionalism. I know we are in the south, but this guy came out to talk to us with a mouth full of dip. I watched him spit in the sales mans trash can. He talked down to us both like we were children and he had a huge attitude every time I spoke, I can only assume he thought that a woman should know their place. He was very rude to us and his unprofessional demeanor is the biggest reason we walked. If a staff is kind and friendly I have no problem paying a little more to deal with good people. But when you are rude and basically tell me Im an idiot, you can keep your car.

The sales manager and I use that term loosely, is by FAR the rudest, cockiest idiot on the planet. He should not be dealing with the public at ALL. The owner of this place better be reevaluating his manager bc hes losing business! He needs classes on how to talk to people in a professional or even civil way!! Maybe its little man syndrome, he needs to be fired!!!! Id give it negative stars but it doesnt allow that!!! And for the record, I already had my own financing but he makes the decisions on the sale prices!!! I wouldnt buy from this place if they sold me a car for $5 now!!! I tell you what, in my short life Ive bought 3 cars and every time i dreaded coming to the dealership to haggle and argue then leave unsatisfied. At Bill Hood customer satisfaction is absolutely on the top of the list. Mr. Scott and Mr. Rorry are the absolute best. I had been bugging them about their Veloster for about 2 month, the only issue is that I live in California and the car is in Louisana, they couldnt hold the car that long. About 3 weeks before I was due to arrive while they were still having their military Incentive going on I got the call they can press forward and sell me the car!!!! Mr. Scott kept in contact the whole time never felt pressured to buy. we handle all the paperwork before so all I had to do is show up with the check and buy, in and out in 30 minutes. Mr. Julian in finance already knew i was on the way i signed a few forms and was done. Mr. Scott and I missed each other by a day,(if Im ever in Hammond Ill definitely stop by to shake that mans hand, maybe even bring him a bottle) so I did not get to meet him in person, but best believe if i ever need another Hyundai Bill Hood will be on the top of my list. Upon delivery car was clean and tagged when I got there. Mr. Rorry actually sat in the car for about 20 mins and showed me all of the features of the car so i was not overwhelmed when i left. Honestly can not say enough about these people!!!! YALL ROCK!!!- Side note stay far far away from Allen Turner Hyundai in Fl, hot hot Garbage.

Very unprofessional...I will not return to this dealership. The service center is poor at best. I went to pick me car up this evening. The headliner inside the car had black marks appears to be grease sweat marks on my windows disgusting . No common courtesy for what does not belong to them!

In the last year and half, I have bought three brand new Elantra’s from Bill Hood Hyundai. One for me, one for my son for graduation in April and one for my daughter in November. They have the best prices and the best staff. I literally live right by a Hyundai dealership in Covington, but I drive to Hammond to buy from Bill Hood’s team! No pushy sales, they discuss every aspect with you in the process and take their time. Jerry was our sales guy and he sat in the car with my kids both times to review aspects of their new car and made sure we received everything we needed and answered any questions throughout the process. It is not easy buying two brand new cars for teenagers in one year, but Bill Hood Hyundai made it possible for us. Three time Elantra buyer, three time Bill Hood customer and I will always go to Bill Hood in Hammond!!

Have had terrible experiences with service work done on my 2016 Hyundai Veloster Turbo.The most recent was when I had the guide rails replaced on my sunroof the tech broke headliner retaining clips and didn’t replace them and even left some out. Also bent and damaged the headliner and thought that it was ok to let the car leave in that condition.

I was in town for a conference. Engine light was on in my elantra and took it to Bill Hood to check it out. Their service department is 5 star. Great guys. I waited while they ran diagnostics and took care of my issue. I was in and out in just over an hour! Thanks, yall keep up the great service!!
