They force you to wear a mask here but not employees as 90% of them dont wear over noses so why the hell wear them????? Over the nose people who cares if u cant breath. The government controls us now make sure your life insurance is up to date.

Its really a hit-or-miss at this Walmart on what they have in stock. With that being said I have found some awesome clearance items and other items that were priced really well. Its so is worth checking an item at 1 of those price checkers to see if theres an additional discount. Youd be surprised at how many times something will be marked down 70 to 90% if you just check it.

The managers in this Walmart seem to care much more about the customer experience then the employees. Id say about around like 3/8 employees are pretty nice to customers or more relaxed speaking with them. Those few are so much more different then the rest which Ive seen many times refusing to tell customers where an item is at saying Im on break, or it should be around over there with an extremely aggressive tone like their going to fight the customer and then speedily walking off. I understand Walmart constantly changes things to make it more easy to sell and find for the customer but thats outrageous. Ive had to intervene and help out the customer in that store many times.Things seem to be more organized and easier to find in stock then in most other Walmarts so I give it a 3 Stars .If they attempt to fix the issue I can give a better score and have a good way to help : It seems youre very overwhelmed with this position based on your attitude Seems like we might (or your) have to find another position for you soon.

Hamden Walmart is convenient for Hamden residents but hands down is not the best,good enough if you need something quick.Its not a Super Walmart and has minimal food and you have better shopping finds farther out.

The Hamden store sucks compared the the Wallingford and Branford stores. Messy, nothing is marked with a price.

It had what I needed but... There were teens running around playing and throwing stuff around and rapping and there were NO Cashiers we had no choice but to self checkout.

I got to the store with around $283.00 in my credit card to buy ps card $59.00 I self paid and something went wrong with ps card teller trashes the receipt tells me to go to next teller tries again same problem receipt gets tossed in trash another teller comes and tries again I swipe my card again same problem go to the back and try that teller ok last teller tries same problem this was the fourth time, lets try another ps card ok swipe youre card sir ok o problem sir youre credit card has been denied not enough funds, what no its because u charged me 4 times now I dont have enough to even try to buy ps card and its monday all I was supposed to spend $59 ps card and rest of the money for the week guess what left the store with no ps card and like $47 to my name for the week till the money goes back in my account this was Aug 2 did not see no money till a month later and only got paid 3 of the four payments now I have to fight for the last $59 they owe me, like very disappointing 😞 still waiting

Ive been to a number of Walmart stores over the years, and this one is by far the worst...not only the worst Walmart, but the worst deparment store I have ever been in. Its small, so they have fewer things available. Dont bother checking to see if something in stock online-it probably isnt, contrary to what their website claims. The store is dirty, the service is non-existant, the employes are rude, and if you call them out on a mistake, they offer lame excuses as to why its not their fault. Oh, and if you ask for a manager, someone will eventually talk to you....just not the manager. The manager is ALWAYS busy, or not there (dependiing on who you ask...I was told both from different employees. The store is what one would expect IF it was located in the ghetto....and most of the employees act like the ghetto is their hood. Ive seen and heard them fighting amongst themselves IN THE STORE.While I patronize Walmart, I will drive to West Haven or Wallingford rather than go to this store.

Do not use the pharmacy!!! The lady who wrong me out was rude to me when I was trying to pick up medicine for my dog who was very sick! Actually don’t go to any associate their everyone was rude and not helpful!!!

NEVER AGAIN....Hands are full from purchase made. After putting my receipt away (staff actually watched me do this) staff asked I show my receipt. Not random. They were stopping every person purchasing anything. I got a swift quick attitude after stating that ITS OBVIOUS THEY DO NOT TRUST THEIR CUSTOMERS she couldnt even come up with a counter reason as to why... LIKE I SAID....ITS OBVIOUS THEY TRUST NOBODY. Id rather spend more someplace else than to be treated like a thief. Dont they have a lost prevention system or people to watch? Its SHAMEFUL 😧😧😧

I placed a grocery delivery order, the items arrived and i noticed they charged me for 7 items that i did not receive. i’ve tried calling multiple times to be refunded but they won’t even answer the phone.

This is for the Hamden store in CT only. In all the years Ive been buying blu rays and dvds movies never have I been harassed to show ID for a restricted movie. Im 44 years old with grey hairs in my beard and when asked to speak to the store manager was looked at like I was annoying her and no Im sorry. She told me I needed to go to my car and get my is. Ridiculous. No wonder that store has the smallest movie selection. Very annoyed by this.

Was hard to find what we need due to how the setup the store... isle are very scrambled in my opinion. The store was not a complete chaos yet we could barely found any staff to help us. Self checkout was staff was a bit slow but still better than the cashiers.

This is a older Walmart, not as big and spacious as the Super Walmarts. I stopped in just to load money to our Walmart Money Card. I did receive fast and friendly service which was very nice.

The young woman with the black bedazzled Dior face mask, that often works self check out has a serious attitude problem. Twice I’ve encountered this. Rude and extremely impersonal. Why spend your money in a store where you’re treated with no respect? There are also MUCH cleaner Walmart’s within 10 miles of almost every direction. Choose wisely.

Put place to shop just need stock stockmore items products a lot of times you go there they dont have what youre looking for because theyre out of stock or theyre just not putting them on the shows

The Walmart in Hamden had what we were looking for and we will most likely be going back at some point.

Found what I was looking with assistance from a military veteran (steve i believe his name is).

I was in the store around 5pm...pretty common time for people getting off work. Shelves in disarray. Pallets blocking aisles & walkways. Stockers scurrying all over (& expecting customers to get out of their way). Meanwhile, recording playing overhead saying theyve increased their overnight hours for stocking. App indicating things are in stock (which I check before going to store) when they are not, so trip wasted. Extremely long self check out lines. Zero cashiers.

Employees are pretty helpful

I’d call this place a mini-Walmart.It has about 6 aisles of nothing but snacks!! No real produce at all, and if there is it’s one aisle of frozen things like basic milk and eggs etc. the apparel selection for both men women and children are very small, so it’s near impossible to want any sort of variety. This goes for any other departments including electronics, toys, sports, outdoors, beauty, pharmacy etc. staff is never around to help but usually together in a pack. It just seems like they don’t want to be here, and not ready to help. I understand retail working is god awful, but I would at least treat it like a job, not an annoyance.

Tried to return a broken coffee pot without a box. Which I threw out with the old pot. Mr. Coffee pot filled with condensation and never worked. The manager couldn’t understand why I had an appointment with DMV to get a new license and as a result wouldn’t give me a new Mr. coffee pot. Because I had no valid ID. It’s unfortunate that Walmart would have a coffee pot on their shelves that doesn’t work. Next time I will go to Target.

Honestly worst customer service ever. I called to simply ask if they had an Xbox 1 remote controller and they hung up on me THREE times. If you don’t have the controller at least have the audacity to say so not hang up in the costumers face. So if any costumer needs to know if this Walmart carries the product your looking for, don’t bother calling.

This place is for convenience only. I needed frames for my upcoming vendor show & it had what I needed. I prefer the extra 20 miles to go to the one in Wallingford

I am not a huge fan of this particular Walmart. I have witnessed plenty of maskless customers and staff here. I do not feel they are being proactive.As for the store itself. Frequently the shelves are emptied of products and things are not being replaced quickly though there are boxes lining aisles from time to time. The shelf checkouts now outnumber the cashier stations and there are often lines with no social distancing and no one there to stop others from cutting in lines, or keeping back. When they do enforce rules, it is often arbitrary and the staff is incredibly rude and short with customers.If I didnt live close to the store I would not be going to this one.The pluses to this store is the pharmacy. Everyone at the pharmacy are nice and helpful. They greet you by name and Frequently talk to you while you wait. I also love the staff for the flu shots. Very professional, very nice and they go above and beyond to make children feel safe, understand the procedure if they need to be there when parents get their shots.

Clean, well lighted. Not enough cashiers. Managerial staff watching the lines get longer and does nothing to assist workers or customers. When I wxited rhe building, I saw a line wrapped around rhe building for people who wanted to entee.

This Walmart never has what you need. This is not a super center;if thats what you are looking for. Every time I go in saying they should have that they dont... and it be the simplest things.

Not a Super Center; thus, its limited in the food section. Small freezer and refrigerated food section. Ice cream, dairy, milk, cold cuts, etc.Normal sized home goods, hardware, health care, and clothing departments.Expect more self-checkout lanes and reduced number of staffed checkout.

Its okay but most employees are not very helpful. I do like the selection of glasses in the vision center.

Never stocked properly
