Love this place. The staff are very helpful and will always assist you if you need help finding something specific! Many dried foods/ sauces/ frozen food selection is fantastic and always have beautiful fresh asian vegetables!

While visiting family, I decided to make Tom Yum. After a valiant attempt searching both high-&-low for one of the main ingredients “kaffir lime leaves”. The only local store in the area that carried it was Food Star Market.After walking around inside, I noticed several main Asian ingredients you wouldn’t be able to find at your local Stop & Shop. Over-all place was clean and people were very helpful. They also had a small restaurant inside; which I didn’t try.My advice, if you are searching for particular Asian ingredients, this store might be your best shot in the area. Worth calling or stopping-by to exam what you can use to produce some delicious Asian meals.

Mostly dried and canned/bottled Chinese goods with an aisle for home goods. Limited produce section but from what I could see, looked pretty fresh. Prices seem reasonable, but I wish they had meat, fish and fruit.

I take my family to this great spot many times a year! This is my favorite spot to grab a bite. I go there at least once a month. The meals are of high quality, the staff is friendly and the cost is good. I enjoy meeting in this spot for a nice dinner.

Awesome place! Has all the essentials for Asian cooking and good prices. Staff is real helpful too. They have a credit card minimum.

The market has a decent selection of products from various Asian cuisines. The prices are slightly high on certain products, including single-serve ramen noodles. They do not have meats, but there are some frozen fish. The vegetables seem pretty fresh as well

This is one of the best Asian Markets in CT. Super clean, ALWAYS stocked with the essentials, and even have items that are hard to find elsewhere! Plus their prices are really good! And if you decide to order food there, their dinner boxes are phenomenal! They are inexpensive, and you get a LOT of food! Definitely give this place a visit!

This is my favorite local Asian food market and I go frequently. The prices are great. They have a huge selection of Asian staples, spices, and a large frozen food section. I can always find what I need. Best of all, they even have a great fresh Asian produce section with quality items that can be hard to find elsewhere. Another good find is they sell bubbles and tea powder so you can make your own Bubble tea at home.

I get my sushi making stuff here. Everything except the fish. The prices are great, its usually quiet & clean.

Ordered curry onion chicken 90% onions and 10% chicken. Terriable.

I found some expired cans, however other than that they carry good unique items. They also have an adjoining Chinese restaurant where you can order Chinese food and soups. 👌👍😋

I think this is the best Asian market and restaurant in town. The food is always great and portions good sized for the price. Its always very clean inside and QVH is always giving them an A rating. Best take out in town for sure.

Great variety of Asians Products today I tried their restaurant for crab Ragun. It was basically just cream cheese no crab no chives tasteless. Very Disappointed since they have all the ingredients at their facilities I would go back there for their products but not for the restaurant food

Nice Asian market with plenty of items to choose from. Theres also a restaurant attached, I did not go to it but it is inside.

Food Star has a great variety of food for very good prices. I especially enjoy the variety of snacks, the inexpensive frozen dumplings, and the fact that this is the only grocery store Ive found in the area that stocks egg roll wrappers.

Moved from Australia and cant find a lot of the Asian food I like in walmart etc. This place has a lot of the Asian food for good prices.
