Mickmans was hired to put rock boarders around all the houses in our association. They were supposed to move all the sprinklers out of the rock beds as well. Problem number one installed sprinklers under the edging of the rock, so when the sprinklers go off they can not fully come up or some get stuck up. Problem number two some sprinklers are still in the rock. Problem number 3 one of my sprinklers was buried under the rock and plastic causing two other heads to not work. Problem 4 rock is sinking in many areas as I do not believe they staked down the plastic underneath well enough. I talked to Mickmans they blamed R homes which is out of business but dont worry Paxmar stated a new company LGI homes dont buy unless you want to be disappointed. Mickmans stated that R homes pulled them off the project and our association is not investigating. So between R homes Mickmans and Associa I am getting the run around. Someone step up its not hard to move sprinkler heads. Stop by Parkside north in Blaine to see the work to the detached townhomes. I have attached some pics.

I had MIckman Brothers come to my house to perform service on my aging irrigation system that was installed by a different contractor. They did an outstanding job; replaced several bad heads, moved other heads and even went above and beyond to help investigate a wet area to rule out a leak in the system. The technicians were proficient, knowledgeable and friendly.I will definitely look to them in the future and recommend them to others as well.Reid R

Wonderful experience with Mickman Brothers - great customer service!

I was very disappointed with my order of two cases of Christmas wreaths. They did not have the lights and hanger as advertised and are very dry. They did not look as pictured. I understand that it is a natural product, and expected some variability, but they were not round and even. I ordered them for gifts. I contacted the company and no partial refund was offered. Buyer beware, especially if you order online! The reason I gave 2 stars is because the I received great service when I placed my order.

Have ordered Christmas wreaths from Mickman Brothers for the last 10 years. While the wreaths are very pretty, they dont arrive in a timely fashion in order to be able to enjoy them throughout the Christmas season. This year I had to try and locate the wreaths as one of the recipients still had not received it. Tried to cancel the order but was told that it was impossible. Needless to say I wont be a returning customer

Beautiful plants here. A bit higher on small Perennials, sometimes significantly higher on beautiful shrubs and things, but always quality plants. Staff has generally been helpful and kind. Great place to buy dirt, mulch - fairly easy to fill up a truck, etc. Appreciate service.

Didnt have what i wanted

I had come into Mickman brothers with some plants that didn’t survive the winter. Dennis was extremely helpful with finding replacement plants. I was very happy with the level of customer service and kindness shown by Dennis and the garden center team. I highly recommend Mickman Brothers.

Super expensive! Ill stick with Walmart and the grocery stores.

Mickmans just completed a landscape project for us including design plans, garden bed cutting, edging, trees and shrubs installed, and a nice load of mulch to finish things off. We could not have been happier with every aspect of the project - beautiful, interesting design, perfectionist installation, considerate and friendly project designer and workers, and a sincere desire to create exactly what we wanted, and within the budget. Be careful with their houseplants. Two snake plants and a Christmas cactus brought a fungus gnat infestation into our home.

Super helpful staff, very knowledgable. They have a great selection of plants. Very good with their covid plan and setup. On one visit (we go there often), my wife had a steep dive in blood sugar while we were looking around, the gentleman that was working with us ran inside and got a candy bar for her without hesitation.

Ordered a wreath for my 98 year old grandmother at a craft fair from the local Boy Scout troop. Very reasonably priced, delivered in plenty of time for the holidays. It was beautiful until after Christmas. I highly recommend Mickman Brothers.

Mickman Brothers is quite a drive for me, but they are worth it! They had perennials and roses available sooner than most other nurseries did last spring. I had hoped to get things planted into the landscape as soon as possible in preparation for our wedding last summer. Mickman Brothers plants were healthy, beautiful,and grew nicely. The sales people were knowledgeable, patient and very helpful. Ill be making a drive again this spring!

Waited 30 mins to get balck dirt. Asked a staff to help me and he said that wasnt his department. Called the manager and she went to tell the same guy i asked to come get the dirt for me.

Mickmans has a great selection of plants, trees and products well into the season. Their staff is knowledgeable and really cares. Also, I signed up for their garden club and I stay notified of their fun classes like straw-bale gardening and promotions throughout the year. I love the little swing set for the kids to play on to keep them busy. Thanks!

Mickman Brothers is a long standing, local and family owned nursery, garden center and landscaping business located in Ham Lake. It is currently in production of thousands of Christmas wreaths, sprays and center pieces being shipped across the country and for sale on site. Also many beautiful Holiday decorations and gifts on display in the Garden Center.

They have the best wreaths around, hands down. Our troop goes with Evergreen and Im so sad. Ill have to see about getting Mickman wreaths for myself (friends and family included of course) outside of the scouting fundraiser in the future.

We have called and stop here before. But stopped because of bad service. This year they had a display at the home & garden show, with brilliant blue potted flowers. Not realizing it was Mickman Brothers, we asked where we could purchase the flowers. We ere told the would be available in the spring at the nursery. Went there today to purchase before they were out of stock, to be told they did not & will not be carrying them, and the landscape side of the business was probably not aware they wouldn’t be carrying them. They manager justified the misinformation by saying how hard they are to grow, and only bloom once. Glad I drove 27 miles to be told, sorry we misspoke. Feel like this was a Black Friday Special - sorry we are out, but there is plenty other items you can purchase.

We spent $800 last year on perennials. Very helpful sales Rep and they had a great warranty if anything was to go wrong. One year later we had 5 dead out of 18 to exchange. No big deal we thought. We were told they would be covered since it was in the time frame of the warranty. After a long wait for a supervisor to assist, we could only exchange two. We had to find the new ones our selves. We went back to the counter to get help in the exchange. The new person at the counter let someone ahead of us because they were waiting for twenty minutes. (Weve been there for an hour). The new person was very rude and asked where our dead plants were(other supervisor already took them). She asked 3 times what we were exchanging even though the receipt and new plants were in front of her. My wife had $100 in extra stuff to buy. She put them all back. If you are buying one thing with no expectations of follow up, buy from here. If you think you may need to come back, dont expect much help. We wont be back.

I hired this company to blow out my sprinklers. They came and blew them out and left without closing my gate. My dogs got out and it took me an hour to find them. When I finally did find them I noticed my little one was limping. I took her to the vet and she fractured her hip.Then I was quoted a price and they billed me twice the quoted price and it took me many calls. They never called me back.This year I noticed my plug was missing from the pipe so my sprinklers did not work when I needed them.Never ever use this business.

Mickman Brothers has a fantastic fundraising opportunity and everyone there is so helpful. Any questions are answers within a day and they are very easy to work with!

I purchased 6 wreaths, 2 center pieces and 1 tree and they are all beautiful and were delivered via Fed Ex. in perfect condition. I just have one thing to say I received 9 e-mails and 9 chargers to my credit card instead of one for the total.

Used them for the first time and the last. They quoted me a price over the phone and when the bill came it was almost double. When I called to find out why they said it was because of the system I had. I wasnt told there could be additional charges and they had two opportunities to let me know. Then I was blamed for not informing them what type of system I had. And when I said the additional cost was awfully high for an extra ten minutes of work they told me that any other company would charge that much. I guess Ill find out.

This is such a lovely place! Brought my kids there just to walk around. I could spend a lot of money here!

The worst customer service I have ever experienced from any company. They essentially abandoned my project. Ive left multiple voicemails with multiple employees (Designer, Project Coordinator, Office Admin, etc.) over the course of 4 weeks and not a single person has returned a phone call. I would highly advise looking for another landscape service.

Suoer friendly and knowledgable staff outside in the greenhouse but the prices are wayyyyyyy too high. The same $12.99 perennial is $7.99 at Gertens. I was running short of time so I couldn’t make the trip to Gertens. The prices are the only thing keeping me from returning to Mickman.

The products arrived in a timely manner, but when I called customer service to inquire about the wreath bags, CSR was not pleasant or helpful. I spoke with her three times in approximately 1/2 hour and her attitude remained condescending. Hopefully this will be our last year with this company.

Love MIckmans. Quality goods and great customer service. When I am looking for a special gift, I start with Mickmans. They always have unusual and unique ideas for design and decorating.

Went in asking about a red maple... no one was willing to sell me one. either they didnt know what it was or they didnt know what they had in stock / what was going to be in stock. employees seemed absolutely clueless. will never go back and furthermore recommend against this to everyone i know for the rest of my life.
