I knew I had some kind of muffler issue and my mechanic could not deal with it so he sent me over to Mufflex, I drove in and spoke to Jeff, he saw the issue right away and in less than one hour my Trailblazer was all done, the price was about spot on, I actually expected more !After Jeff put the truck on the lift he glanced over at my rotors and said to me you live on the beach ? He could tell immediately that I was close to the beach by looking at my rotors, Now I have to say he did not tell me anything I did not know. I knew I needed new front rotors, I just was not expecting to do it today. So he wrapped up the muffler, priced out the front brakes and I will be back in 10 days to 2 weeks to have him do that work. Actually as long as Mufflex is there I found a new place for my 2004 Trailblazer !

I have owned cars for 50+ years and I can say unequivocally that Jeff and his team are the most honest, competent and customer service oriented automobile repair business I have ever met. In August, I had some work done on my car and in January a part failed causing serious damage to my car. Although the part failure was not due to anything that Jeff and his team did, Jeff stepped up and repaired all of the damage (thousands of dollars) at no cost to me. As he explained, the damage was due to a manufacturers defect, I was his customer and he wanted to do right by me. I only wish that more businesses were run with this code of ethics.

Having recently moved here from a city 10 times smaller than Hallandale, I was anxious about trusting someone to make repairs on my car. I prayed about it and took the chance and pulled up at Mufflex Auto. Upon arriving, the place was just as clean as it appears from the street. Even the workers were clean and neatly dressed. I went inside to get information about what was going on with my truck and to figure out costs. Jeff, the owner was very polite and courteous. After my truck was checked out, Jeff took my to see everything that was wrong with it. He explained how those particular things needed to work together and at that time they werent. What he was saying made sense and I understood everything he explained to me. Overall, the service was fast, clean and friendly. I missed my old mechanic but I have definitely found a new one in this area. I trust Jeff to be fair and honest and I will be getting my services from here moving forward. I will also be recommending him to everyone I know who needs car repair services.

I was lucky to be near this place. I had a malfunction in my Volvo 940, 25 years old and fortunately Mr. Jeff immediately found out that the fuel pump was in bad shape. I left the car since they had to order the part and picked it up next day. Everything worked perfectly. He even fixed for free a rattle that was coming from the muffler. Great people, honest and experienced!

HORRIBLE! Took advantage of me...I am from out of state and needed work done. Went there because my car was overheating. He said it was the water pump that cost $800. I got the work done and my car continued to overheat so I took it back. The guy then says it could be my radiator or my motor. He prints me out a price for radiator repair. Went to get a second opinion, it turns out it was my motor and the mechanic recommended me that its not worth fixing. Mufflex didnt even bother to help/fix the problem. DO NOT. I REPEAT DO NOT WASTE OUR TIME OR MONEY HERE.

I may know a little about a lot of things but I know absolutely nothing about transmissions, radiators, etc. After being involved in a car accident, my car was repaired. after driving it a day or so I realized there was something definitely wrong with my transmission based on my limited knowledge of RPMs and knowing how to drive a manual car. (Thanks Dad!). My car has a CVT, which means it is more difficult to diagnose if there is a transmission. I was told by my auto repair person to go to Mufflex for them to try to diagnose what the problem was. Apparently you need a special tool on these types of vehicles which they had. Unfortunately, they still were not able to measure it because there was no dipstick. instead of giving up and sending me on my way they put my vehicle on a full lift went underneath and saw there was a transmission fluid leak coming from somewhere. they were able to get me by with a quart of fluid and sent me on my way back to the body shop, who then sent it off to repair and its now as good as new. Special thanks to Mike very patient with me and to Jeff who helped will the dx.

Whent in to this place to fix a noisy exhaust, sure they fixed it. But then the guy decides to tell us we have a strange noise from the balancer then he lifts the car up checks the balancer and starts trying to screw the bolt that is there in place with the drill.. he then breaks the bolt and starts claiming its not his fault. My father changed that balancer a year go and everything was all fine before the guy whent ahead and broke that bolt. THESE GUYS DONT WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS!. He then tries to charge us for his mistakes which both me and my father clearly saw was his mistake. Please everyone i urge you to go some place else. Save your money. Check other reviewers and alot had similar problems.

I needed a new horn and brakes. I was able to go in and get this done in a matter of hours. Fair price.

They were indifferent and dismissive. All I know is my car worked fine before we took it there for a diagnostic; after they looked at it we barely limped into our driveway. How the heck does a mechanic miss a frayed fan belt? Avoid this place!

Im not sure about the other reviews complaining of a rude owner because he was nice when I met him today, and so was his staff. I showed him a picture of my flex hose that was broken and he gave me an estimate. He then got my car lifted to take a closer look for a free estimate and gave me the same price. There was no arguing or hassles. I only stopped in for a question and ended up leaving 25 minutes later with a fixed flex pipe that I had put off for a year. I would go there again for any other problem I have on my car.

I paid $400.00 for a new water pump but all they did was change the gasket on the pump and charged me for a new one. I would not take my car there ever again!

This place is the worse! I cant believe theyre still in business. Every review on here is horrific. They have a reputation in Hallandale. They are so rude. They didnt fix my waterpump and charged me. When I called them on their lies, he blew up and exploded. It was an obvious scam and instead of trying to get it right, he threatened to impound the car. He assumed I was an idiot to automobile care. I could see the same waterpump I came in to the shop with. What was he trying to pull? This is WILD!

Thus guy knows nothing about engines. He destroyed my car and I had to buy a new one. He purposely destroys your car to keep you coming back. He will turn the computer screen in your direction and talk your ear off about the inner workings of the engine and then ruin your engine on purpose. This place should be reported to the authorities. If you argue or contest what he says, he blows up. This is the biggest scam. Do not trust him. Do not leave your car there. This guy will destroy it. Hello Mufflex!Cutting corners and shoddy work seems to be the normal at Mufflex.I took my Toyota to Mufflex because of a small oil leak from the valve cover gasket. It took them 3 times to get it done correctly and for which I was billed 2 times. The problem didnt stop here as oil was still dripping under the car. Jeff(the owner) told me he thought it was coming from the oil pan gasket. I agreed to have it repaired. When I went to pick up my car Jeff told me that eventhough he had replaced the oil pan gasket the engine was still leaking. He added there was nothing more he could do, he was done with the car and he was not going to spend more time to identify the source of the persistent leak. To his credit he didnt bill me for the oil pan gasket repair. The next day the car was leaking more than ever before. I took the car to another shop down the road Bill and Dicks auto repair1. The oil pan gasket job had to be redone because at Mufflex they had use the Form a gasket sealant instead of ordering the readily available gasket from Toyota. Cost for undoing Mufflex bad work $ 350.002. However the mysterious and persistent oil leak was still here. So it wasnt coming from the oil pan gasket after all.The leak was coming from the crank and oil pump seal. WHAT THE F...! Was I surprised? Yes I was because 6 months earlier I had Mufflex change the timing belt and pump on my car. It turned out that once again Mufflex failed to do the repair properly by not replacing the small rubber seals which is routine maintenance when installing a new timing belt and pump. Had they done so there wouldnt have been an oil leak to start with. Cost for undoing Mufflex sloppy work $ 300.00.If I add the time I spent dealing with this problem + the cost of having the oil stains cleaned from my driveway the total amount of money Mufflex unnecessarily cost me is about $ 800.00.The old adage remains true a happy customer will tell 10 people, an unhappy customer will tell 100. I am highly recommending that you take your car problems to a more competent repair center. Fortunately for me I found Honest Abe at Bill and Dicks auto repair. Oh! by the way not only are they honest they are substantially less expensive than Mufflex.

Everyone saying that the owner is rude is right. They did the job, but the guy who I talked to (short muscular guy) just seemed to be rude. You ask him questions and he just gets angry like you did something wrong. I am the customer, let me ask what I need to. I prefer Hallandale Auto Electric.
