Before reading this go to IH8MUD.com for detailed feedback from a well informed LandCruiser community about LandCruiser Heaven. Also, JoElla who is the administrative person at LCH is wonderful and unfortunately through no fault of her own is bombarded daily with the many issues created from the lack of attention to detail, non existent quality control and unreasonable long (if any) responses from the owner Frank Diaz.Cliff notes - car was dropped off September 2020 for restoration. After picking up my car almost a year later following endless delays and excuses there were multiple scratches in the brand new leather seats, headset to the new Bluetooth radio had not even been connected (I found it in the glove box) rendering the hands free option which most all states require- inoperable, there were missing bolts and screws (mostly decorative to hold footplates on) that had been reinstalled, grease all over the ceiling.Fast forward I get the ‘completed’ car back only to find more issues. I left a message for the owner weeks ago- no response. I paid for the halogen light upgrade however noticed a few of the bulbs were out. After closer inspection I found they were functioning however 3 of the 4 were not installed correctly (flush and locked in place) They had completely fallen out of place. See picture. Again, low attention to detail. I had to go behind them to fix what they had ‘fixed’. Not what I paid for. What else was completed with this same lack of quality control?Additionally the ARB Solis lights are not on their own unique switch but rather tied in with the high beams. Why is this an issue? 100% of the time you switch from low to high beams the off road ARB lights flicker - since these lights are not road legal even that slight flicker will get you a ticket. From my research there is no state where this would be legal.I did get an email from Frank’s assistant with the manual on how to wire / rewire the lights but again. this should have been done correctly, the first time, at their shop. Not what I paid for.Lastly, you will see many cool pictures on social media about the many cars being worked on there and the website is nice. Beware.My take- LandCruiser Heaven is ‘experimenting its way ’ and using past and current customers to figure it out. Perhaps one day it will be a well oiled machine. At present, without a massive dose of patience, blood pressure meds and the willingness to check and double check every aspect of their work, you will likely be very disappointed.Still awaiting return call from early Oct message to Frank

I had a fantastic experience at LCH in getting my ARB installed on an 80 series.Scheduling: Frank was extremely responsive via e-mail to the numerous questions I had. He was able to squeeze me in for an appointment on a very short notice, and provided me with a great quote.Reception: I was immediately greeted by one of the employees and was immediately let in to their garage. They were tracking the work needed. Very soon after, Frank oriented me to the shop and gave an overview of the various projects hes working on. He definitely made me feel welcomed to his shop.Service: There were some decisions I had to make during the install process, and Frank and his crew did a great job keeping me informed and getting my inputs. As a certified YouTube mechanic, I have learned time and time again, and something always pops up during a simple install, and having the experts at LCH do the work gave me the peace of mind that the work would be done correctly.Outcome: The bumper install came out very nicely resulting in perfect alignment of the new bumper (not too tight or loose), neat wiring job for the lights (well insulated and zip tied), and spare parts (I didnt go for the winch install yet) set aside nicely for future use.Bottom line: Its good to see a shop that does crazy big builds (saw a diesel transplant with manual swap and a full interior/exterior refresh) still look out for the little guys. If you need any work done on your cruiser, I highly recommend you give LCH a shot, and if you do, youll probably end up writing a review like this.

Land Cruiser Heaven was great! Joella was an amazing service person and the mechanic team was able to fix the issues I had on my 20 year old LX470. I highly recommend this place if you have a Land Cruiser.

Great place to bring your Toyota/Lexus for any type of mod. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff too. I brought my GX460 in to install an Ironman 4X4 lift and they did a great job. They even helped with a BMC and some fender trimming. Oh and they installed my snorkel. Glad I found them.

I have a first gen Tacoma and was looking for a shop that would go above and beyond in helping me maintain my truck to get the most out of it. After meeting Frank I knew Land Cruiser Heaven was the shop for me. Frank and his team are extremely knowledgeable and go the extra mile for their customers. Very lucky to have such a great Toyota shop in MD. I won’t take my truck to anyone else and look forward to being a loyal Land Cruiser Heaven customer for many years.

I took my 1994 Land Cruiser in for a thermostat replacement and steering repair. Frank was very helpful and was very quick to have the repairs done. I would highly recommend! I was drooling at all the options they have for Land Cruiser’s definitely will be back if my wife allows it :)

Land Cruiser Heaven saved our Land Cruiser Prado! Our truck sustained serious hood damage and LCH came through with an amazing repair. The vehicle is a very rare Japanese domestic market, right hand drive, custom color painted unicorn, which several local auto body repair shops wouldn’t touch. LCH was able to repair the damage, source the hard to find parts and match the custom paint for an amazing result. Highly recommend! Land Cruiser Heaven has lived up to its name. While I would have loved for Frank and his team to completely restore my 80 series, I simply cant afford all of that right now. Frank helped develop a priority list of repairs that needed to be made and restoration that could wait. Now, I have a truck that runs great and a plan of exactly how Im going to proceed with the remaining work Id like done on the truck. Throughout the process, he was fair and transparent. Frank himself provided daily updates of the work being done with pictures and descriptions. The icing on the cake was Frank lending me an awesome truck hes already restored while mine was in his shop for the week. As soon as its financially feasible, I will definitely bring my truck back to Frank for the remainder of the work.

My new-to-me, but previous owner-very neglected, 2000 LX470 was in need of its timing belt service, several leaks inspected and sorted out, suspension maintenance and a few other items. The folks at LCH did a very thorough inspection and put together a detailed condition report with options and recommendations. The online inspection with pictures, findings and estimates was really helpful and easy to use.I ended up having them complete almost all the open maintenance - they were thorough and performed really quality work. The trucks driven great since.While I just had maintenance work performed, they had some great builds in progress. Theyve got LCs from all over and can do a lot more for your rig than just maintenance, too.

My 1994 80 Series was overheating among other things but LCH come in for the win! Head gasket replaced, oil pump, water pump and seals, rebuild of knuckles, brakes and a few misc items. Still running strong since work done last summer 2020.

This was my first time at Land Cruiser Heaven. I expected good things and they delivered, plus some. My 2003 Land Cruiser had a rust problem that unknown to me was safety related. LCH obtained all the parts quickly and was able to complete the repairs one week sooner than expected. They also replaced some smaller but significant rubber and plastic parts that I was concerned about. They were more thorough than I had hoped. When I picked up my Land Cruiser they were very pleasant and explained in detail the repairs and part replacements. And they showed me the rusted old parts, which I highly appreciated. I also have a 1988 Land Cruiser and will definitely call Land Cruiser Heaven when either of my Land Cruisers need significant repairs or any modifications for off-road.

I was easily able to drop off and pick up my vehicle on the weekend. Able to pay over the phone. The actual price was nearly spot on with my quote, and we’ll under what the stealerships quoted me. Will be back for sure.

Frank and the whole crew at LCH were great to work with. We recently had our 80 series in the shop for what we though would be a lower engine rebuild after an engine knock developed prematurely for our truck. Our local shop had misdiagnosed this problem as a main bearing failure and said that the cost of repair was so high that a new engine would be the only way to go. We chose to take it to LCH, who found the problem to be the drivebelt and pulleys. After a front engine repair, the truck drives like new. We also received a comprehensive vehicle inspection and diagnostic that is trustworthy, as LCH only deals with Land Cruisers. We live 4 hours away but will be taking our truck to LCH for all major repairs and upgrades moving forward.

After doing a bit of research, i brought my 1996 4Runner for timing belt, engine oil leaks and cylinder head work. I was kept updated with pictures and text messages. The final price was reasonable and the final result top notch. Well worth the drive from Northern VA.Will definitely be backThanks Frank and team

Couldn’t be happier with the service experience with the Team at Land Cruiser Heaven. I was specific in what I wanted but didn’t know the exact resource that best suited the envisioned end-state and Frank and the team were able to work with me to make sure I got what I wanted in a way that I didn’t feel taken advantage of. They have exceeded my expectations repeatedly now with my second interaction with them!

Let me say I rarely leave negative reviews and always try to be understanding of different situations but this place is one of the worst businesses Ive ever dealt with. I ordered some Scheel Mann seats from them back on  August the 24th 2020 and wanted custom covers made to match the rest of the interior on my 80. I was told itd take 8 weeks to receive the seats I paid them in full and waited. 8 weeks went by and hadnt heard anything so I called them, was told it took longer then expected to get the seats what with covid so I understood and asked how much longer itd be, they said 2-3 weeks. 3 weeks went by so I called and asked whats up well apparently the molds had just arrived in Colombia and they were making the covers and sending them back so itd be 3-4 weeks before I got them, okay a phone call would be nice.... called back  middle of December and asked where my seats are and they said they received the covers but they didnt fit correctly so they sent the entire seats to Colombia and I would have them in my possession absolutely no later than January 15 2021 I agreed with Frank the owner that if they where not to me by the 15th hed refund me and Id be done with them. Well they finally did call me for the very first time to tell me itd be delayed yet another 2 weeks, the problem is they called me ON THE 15TH, nope Im done I want a refund. Im tired of the constant run around and no communication. They said theyd issue the refund and itd be back in my account in 5-7 business days so 8 business days went by and the money has not been returned to my account. I called them 3 different times throughout the day and it kept ringing and going to voice mail so after the 3rd attempt I immediately called from a different number (out-of-state) and they answered on the 1st ring. Funny how that happens.... The woman asked me if I was sure I wanted a refund since I had already waited this long... This leads me to believe they never had any intentions of refunding me. If someone has already started they want their money back, youve supposedly already processed the refund, youre not going to ask are you sure you dont want them? That means you havent processed anything. So she looks into it and says for some reason it didnt go through to return the funds back to my card so now theyre going to put a check in the mail I mean come on, thats the oldest line in the book. She started she would send me a tracking number and it would be sent out the following day before close of business. Never received a call or email so now Im going to have to go through my bank and dispute the charges to hopefully get a refund. Please please before you spend your money with this place go to ih8mud and just search for them Im not the only one that has had problems with this place. Im not impatient by any means but when you take someones money give them your word, your bond, then not follow though means you have no integrity. At least have the courtesy to call the customer and explain why there are delays.Poor communicationWill give you the run around for weeks on end and give you every excuse in the bookNot follow through on promisesTerrible turn around

“Great experience. Frank was amazing with helping us get our 200 series Land Cruiser in tiptop shape. Really friendly staff too (Juan Pablo). Going to Land Cruiser Heaven is like going to a toy store for me, they have a lot interesting Land Cruisers projects going on also upgrades and trims that we never had here in the US, like they 80 series LC Diesel Conversions using OEM engines and parts, another nice thing they do is the Auto to manual 6 Speed transmission. And if you want to get your interior to factory new check their 100% leather set cover replacements. For a Toyota enthusiast like me this is a one stop shop, no need to go somewhere else what you get here is quality and professionally installed.I will be back for sure!!!!

I needed to get work done quickly on my 2006 LX470 before an endless amount of upcoming road trips this year. They were extremely helpful in getting me scheduled and taken care of within 2 days for upper control arms, lower ball joints and a rebuild of the front hubs. Their flexibility with my rough schedule is a win win and I will surely come back for their business.Thanks again!

I took my Land Cruiser FJ to Land Cruiser Heaven for a pre purchase inspection ahead of buying the truck. The three hour inspection went fine and did not find any material issues. The next day the car wouldn’t start. I towed the car back to Land a cruiser Heaven and waited three weeks for a diagnosis. The company stated the issue was a starter motor. I paid for the labor and parts and picked up my truck. Took the car home and the next day it wouldnt Start again. Took it to another shop who quicklyfiguted out it was an electrical wiring issue and fixed it in two days. In addition to the motor issue I also had the company put my hard top on which literally almost came off the truck on my way home. Would highly recommend NOT using this company

The LCH Team is absolutely fabulous. Frank is great and communicates regularly to provide updates on progress. They performed an overall assessment of the vehicle, gave me a detailed plan of what I needed to focus on and completed the repairs over a few phases. Absolutely fabulous as it was a surprise for a family member and they were thrilled. Looking forward to LCH working on the interior and anything else I can think of.

They performed suspension upgrades along with recovering our front seats on our LC 100 series. The seat covers are theirs, great quality, look original.The staff was phenomenal to work with professional, our LC feels like new again and is ready for another 16 years of ownership.

After my transmission broke (90 BJ70) none one could fix it.I took my 70 series to 3 different shops in two different states. (Florida and TN) and no one had an answer. They took it apart but they could not put it back together. After almost 4 years dealing with the mechanics and wasting money on labor time a met Francisco and Juan Pablo during an Overland Expo East and they took the challenge and put my 70 back to live.The guys over in Land Cruiser Heaven rebuilt my trans and fixed some leaks and other problems due to the car being parked for so long.I drove from Knoxville, TN (400miles) to LCH not because there are not other places that could fix my 70 series, but because the reputation that LCH have. They are a small shop dedicated to Toyotas; everything from oil change to huge make overs. They do it all.Thank you Fran and Juan Pablo for taking care of my 70 series!See you soon!Oscar

Took my Toyota here after hearing a couple good things. Ended up being the biggest mistake. The mechanic Cory Sites got oil all over my cloth seats, my belt still squeaks, they installed a used starter not a new one like I was told and paid for.Cory could not tell the truth about these issues. Instead he lied right to my face and denied any wrong doing. Why a shop would hire such a dishonest and unprofessional employee is beyond me. Whatever you do avoid this place if you care about your vehicle.
