Love going to this dealership for service. Customer service is always top notch and the service providers are well versed and knowledgeable in their craft. The techs are awesome too and have no problem explaining an issue or describing what failed or why this piece needs replaced due to that, etc... Happy to have found a service shop that I can trust to do good work not too far from home. Definitely will be back in the future for all my dealer/ maintenance needs.

This is the worse place you could ever take your car my friend took their car their 3 weeks later finally finished. Everytime they called them no response wouldnt answer even service manager wouldnt respond. Never would I recommend them to anyone plus charge 1000.00 and some dollars when you wait 3 weeks without a vehicle and always a excuse rude to customer and just a big excuse one after another not even enough respect to call they text you only when its at their convenience.. Buying cars may be ok I dont know but never take your car to be fixed.

Absolutely awful service. We bought a VW Atlas and loved it, but it had a very minor manufacturer defect that prevented us from driving it. No big deal, figured itd be easy. Im on day 3 of it not being easy. They have over a week out to fix the vehicle, so I figured a loan vehicle would be an option. Nope. They cant even confirm if they have any. On top of all this, Im now concerned about my kids safety and my wifes while driving this car around because we have no other option.
After several rounds of shady dealings in the DC area (eg., bait and switch, price gouging due to the car shortage), I luckily found Dennis who got me a fair deal on an Atlas with no nonsense. I was able to set a price for a lease over email, and after a long drive from Northern VA I was welcomed with a quick and painless closing process. Everyone there was as nice and accommodating as could be and it was well worth the trip.
We recently worked with Dennis Shank at Sheehy to purchase a new vehicle. Dennis, along with all of the rest of the staff were absolutely AMAZING. They worked with us to meet our needs and did so within the best of their ability; all while facing issues with networking that were outside of their control and created delays in the process. However, they made it work and were also transparent! We never felt that we were being led on, bullied, overlooked, or like we werent the only customers of the day. They addressed our needs seriously and were incredibly pleasant to work with. Hands down, the best car buying experience we have had. Terrible service department, lacks on communication with customers and getting things done the first time. Shouldnt need to schedule a covered oil change 30+ days out or take 8 months and 3 trips to get a sunglass holder replaced. Im not one to complain much but every trip becomes more difficult than it ever should be.
I was about to put down a deposit on a new vehicle until I had the misfortune of being directed to the manager John Flowers for a simple question. He was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. If this is how you treat a customer then I’m more than happy to buy a car from a different dealer.

Don’t take your car here for service. Awful communication. I called and texted at least 5 times over the course of 8 days and never received a straight answer. They didn’t inform me of all the things they were doing on the car, and then they hit me with a $1000 bill when I picked it up. Charged me nearly $400 in labor to fix a steering column lock.

My wife and I purchased a 2021 Atlas from Sheehy about a month ago. Our salesperson, Noah, was great. He was patient and very informative about explaining all the options on our vehicle. We had found the vehicle of our choice online, which was to be delivered to their lot in Springfield, Va. Diako, the sales manager, text them and said the vehicle was in transit and would be in Hagerstown as soon as it came in. We drove one that was similar to the one we found. We went with the 6 cylinder, SEL Premium Atlas. The specs on fuel mileage kinda scared me, but I couldnt be happier. We get back from little trips and it reads anywhere from 22-27 mpg, Im very happy. Im anxious to take it on a road trip. Our whole buying experience, overall was great, with only one hiccup, and Noah and Diako know what that was. Again, these two were great to work with, along with Janet in finance. They made the whole process go smoothly. Thanks again.

We came into the show room on a rainy Saturday morning to look and compare a WV Tiguan to a GMC Terrain. After looking around on my own, I approached a sales person by the name of Dennis to ask him some simple questions. He was very easy to get information from and had no traditional pushy car sales tactics.More than anything, I appreciate that he was not brand loyal and understood that my wife and I were looking for a vehicle that fit our needs and it was possible that neither of the vehicles we looked at would work.We advised Dennis that the vehicle was pretty close to what we wanted but we wanted to look at other models at other dealerships. He wished us luck and said he hopes we end up coming back if the other vehicle did not meet our needs. It turns out, the other vehicle was not what we wanted so we came back to Dennis to purchase the GMC terrain.The sales process was absolutely fluid and Dennis did a fantastic job keeping us informed throughout the process. He was open and honest about each step and never did we feel “let on” as most people do in this scenario. It was a busy day for the dealership and we did have to wait a substantial amount of time to eventually go into the finance office. We came preapproved so the finance portion of the day went very fast.I can highly recommend anybody visit Dennis for their car needs, used or new. He has been with the dealership for over 10 years and you will not feel like you are at a traditional car sales setting with him.I look forward to purchasing my future vehicles with him!
Over the last two weeks I have called Sheehy VW 10 times, all within their business hours, and no one has answered the phone. I have left multiple voicemails with my contact information. All I want is to bring my car in to get serviced but it is kind of hard when no one will answer the phone.
I walked in looking for a VW Atlas 2.0 SE and finally purchased a 3.6 SE. Sales representative and Manager professionalism were awesome. They made the buying process smooth and quite efficient.
I left here absolutely speechless. I walked into the VW showroom with my young 8 year old daughter wanting to look at a Tiguan I saw online. There was one salesperson in the showroom but he was busy helping other customers so I figured I’d just look around until someone came out to help me. What I heard was absolutely disgusting and has no place for a place of business. The derogatory language used by the sales people and what I assume their manager was revolting. Not a place to be acting the way they were. Never coming back.
Love coming here for oil change or for any problems I’m having with my atlas. As soon as I arrived to the place I get greeted with a smile and positive attitude also they know how to work fast and give you options when it come to paying because of COVID 19.

This is the worst vw dealership in the country, they are unprofessional rude all they care is about selling you a car and after that you are on your own, I had a really bad experience on Monday September 21 2020 the manager dont have the BALLS to solve a problem, they were going to charge me 1000.00 to submit a credit application......I went to Fitzgerald VW at Frederick Maryland and totally different they care they are professional i dont have to pay anything to summit my credit application, I will call VW Corp to report thi sheehy VW dealer!!! BEWARE!!

I requested quotes for a new Tiguan via PenFed and got an email from this dealership. I never even knew Sheehy was out here! Anyway, we traded some emails and agreed on a sale, and we attempted to do most of our paperwork remotely for the purchase but it turned out to be a bit more of a hassle than expected. Besides the paperwork issue, everything else was pleasant. Dennis was our sales guy and he was great, and the manager (not sure we got his name) made sure we were comfortable. We had to bring our dog as we were staying overnight in Hagerstown and it turned out that the dealership is dog friendly! There was hand sanitizer available and everyone was masked which my wife (an MD) appreciated. If you’re in the market for a new VW (or Subaru or Mazda), i recommend checking this place out!

Horrible customer service. I traded my 2015 Mercedes Benz on a 2016 Volkswagen Golf R at another dealership out of town. My golf is still under factory warranty. I called about an issue with the AC and made an appointment to get it looked at. First day I take it and drop it off at 7:30am and was told I would be called when it was finished, around 6pm I thought I would go ahead and give a call and I was told (oh yeah its done and did I want to come get it?!) As I go to pick it up Im told that they had to special order the part and it would take 2 days to come in and I would be called when it came in. 1 week later no call, so I call to see whats going on (Im told oh yeah the part is here do you want to bring it in tomorrow?! So I take it in once again at 7:30am and told it takes an hour and they would call when its done. 4pm rolls around and Ive heard nothing once again, so I call to find out whats going on and Im not treated very well on the phone to start with and then told (oh yeah your car is done and did I want to.xome get it?!) Go to pick it up and not greeted, people in the service area walk around me for about 10 minutes as Im trying to figure out whats going on and who do I need to talk to....a guy walks up and says I can help you....are you here to pick your car up? Yup, basically got a heres your keys and over there is the cashier. (Seriously disappointed in the customer service at this dealership. Whose is running the show out here??? (I think Ill be calling the corporate office this coming week) Thanks for the welcoming customer service for a first time Volkswagen buyer.

Their service centers customer service is some of the worst Ive ever seen. Not only do they not return phone calls, 9 times out of 10 you will wait on hold for 20+ minutes, why isnt this locations customer service on par with almost every other Volkswagen dealership, I shouldnt have to wait a few hours to talk to someone in service. I will not be making another purchase from this dealership.

Went on a Tuesday around 5 and walked around the lot for 20 minutes. No salesperson ever came out to greet us. So we went inside and waited at the front desk for 5 minutes until we were finally helped. Mind you, we were the ONLY customers. We should have left after this, but lessons learned. The experience just got worse from there. The salespersons didnt know VWs rebates and exactly what qualified. Theystraight up told me a 911 operator didnt qualify for the first responder discount when I was able to prove otherwise on VWs website. The salesperson pulled credit report but never came back with payment options or loan terms until we sat down with the finance manager who had chosen a loan term and interest rate for us. He then proceeded to yellll at me that this was only his second sale of the day and he was ready to go home and seemed flustered when the process wasnt going how he liked . The car was never brought around front after the purchase was finalized. Just a horrible experience. From someone who knows how the car buying process is supposed to go and someone who had previously bought from Sharrett. Unfortunately we will not be returning to this dealership for sales. Hopefully the service department is much better
Recently bought a new VW GSW 4motion 6m. Walked into the showroom and was greeted by Max Crocetta. I purchase cars more often than I would like with the mileage I put on them for work, so I have had a lot of car sales interactions. It’s rare I run into someone that actually knows his product line like Max. Most of the time I feel I know more than the sales person. Had a good experience and this is why I’ve now bought 3 cars from Sharrett in the past 5 years.
I had swore I would NEVER go back to Sharret after a bad experience a few years ago, however I went to just look at a Tiguan since they are local. The sales lady, Wanda, was so helpful and nice. They really worked with me on numbers and I had a great experience. I also really liked the service after I bought my car explaining all the techy stuff, I have a completely different opinion! Ask for Wanda she is wonderful!
If I could leave less than one star I would. In April of this year I had my 2015 Golfwagen towed to their service center where I called everyday for an update. Three days later they finally got around to looking at our car. I understand that you are short staffed on diesel mechanics and that youre busy, but the least I ask from customer service departments is regular communication which you failed to do. When we were finally given an update on our car we were given hope that the catastrophic engine failure due to a bad timing belt would be covered under the TDI Warranty. It wasnt and yet again we had to call multiple times to get a status on our claim. Though we did bring our car in multiple times for service, no one ever looked a the timing belt because oh you know its not something they inspect until 100k miles... fine whatever. I made my complaints to the service manager and went on my way to sell my car for parts because VW said it was irreparable, a car mind you that I am still paying. As a young family we can hardly afford it and it is a huge burden on us financially. The final straw and the impetus to writing this review is that today I received a mailer saying that my car is due for 100k mile service and that if I really want to expert service and to maintain my cars value and safety I should bring it in... Really? You guys continue to suck and it blows my mind at how thoughtless and careless you are. I would never buy another VW much less patron any of your dealerships again.
They couldnt diagnose the radio on a 2016 Passat, I had to go back there twice until they got someone from sale who was able to do it. Service department closes at 5:30pm, not open on Saturday..., really. They dont listen the customer.
Their technicians are ok, prices are high. Whats upsetting is the negligence of the customer service on the phone, the lady who answered the phone was not helpful, she didnt`t care that i needed help, at 4.15 she was talking about that the technicians leave at 5. I went to Spanky`s used cars and they helped me and get me a new part and fixed my car in 20 minutes. That money could be yours if your associate had a little bit of enthusiasm for her job, and when i said thank you, have a good night, she said u-hum what a jerk...Never, ever go back to that place, shame on you.
My wife and I were visiting family in W.Va.and had to get back to Fla.for doctors appointment. Just as we were about to get on I 81 we experienced trouble with our VW Passat. Called Sharrett VW and talked with J who had us fixed a back on the road within an hour. I don’t normally like to go to dealerships for service due to cost but luckily found this one. Great customer service.
Absolutely Great Service! I took my 2007 GTI there to service a noise coming from the belt. I was moving within 2 days of taking it there. I had them replace timing belt kit, all within a day!

I bought by 2011 Jetta TDI here and have always serviced it at this dealership. purchasing was not the most pleasant experience, the sales person acted like he was always busy with something else. He did not have time for us. However once we bought the car servicing at this dealership has been very pleasant. service customer support are very professional, prices are very reasonable and often they would do small work for free which is nice. Specifically I would like to mention that Jay at customer service has been very helpful and provided top notch quality service. They also always follow up with phone calls and emails. I would gladly deal with them in the future again.

I purchased a 2009 Jetta Sport wagon, 30d/1000mile warranty. At 31 days the A?C would not work properly, I called the dealership talked to Jay the service manager to see if they (the dealer) would work with me on fixing my a/c. after waiting 2 days Jay called back and said they will work with me and to bring it in, I had the dealership look at the A/C and they discovered the cooling fans going bad. They said not covered, and will not work with me, the cost to replace the fans $900.00 and they charged me $105.00 to diagnose the problem, how is that working with me? Ill never go to this dealership!!!

Well I got my car elsewhere but I have a 06 VW Jetta Tdi. Jay Corbett handled everything for me. Very knowledgeable,efficient, and honest. He checked on my car for free bc I was worried about where I had my car previously checked. He gave me the details and estimate and knew exactly the issue. Which was different then what the previous mechanic said. If you want top of the line knowledge along with oem parts most of the time goto sharret. Yes dealers are pricier but that security is worth it I assure you. Ill gladly continue to goto sharret all that I can.

A service of the lowest quality there can be, always ... there is always something new after they finish. First it takes more than 2 hours for an oil change.Then the car is always left with something loose, badly adjusted, etc ... never more flight.I came back after a long time because they changed owners but it is seen that they have the same inefficient employees as always.
