I am very impressed with this location. I have been here before for little cracks in my windshield and they were fixed well. This time, I had an appointment earlier in the week that was cancelled due to the weather. They were able to squeeze me in to have my windshield replaced before leaving out of town. Everyone was very professional and kind - especially the manager, Sonya, both on the phone and in person.

Im very impressed with the service at Hagerstown Safelite. The entire experience went smoothly. They were quick but thorough. They called me to the back to check the replacement windshield. They found scratches on it and they wanted me to look at before beginning. They said they could order another one and I could come back. When they showed me the scratches, I didnt think they were that bad. They were almost unnoticeable to me, but I appreciate the fact that they pointed it out to me and gave me the opportunity to decide. Anyway, the staff was professional and efficient and the results are great. Very pleased with the entire process there. The only thing I would change would be the method of communication when scheduling the service. You have to go online and then through an 800 number in ordering to schedule or get information. I guess thats the way things are done everywhere, but I still dont like it. In any case, I didnt lower the rating because it has nothing to do with the service they performed.

I had to have a rear window replaced on my truck which presented some challenges to do so.Sonya and her techs made the necessary adjustments to have the glass replaced.I would highly recommend this location.

They Called and canceled the day of and then could not rebook for almost a week. Better off using someone local and not waiting weeks for a replacement to maybe show up.

Didnt get Safelite to do the job. I went with Mountaineer auto glass because they answered the phone and didnt direct me to go on line to set an appointment. They did a good job. Being able to speak with someone on the phone makes a difference.

Got a crack in my windshield,no problem. Went through my insurance company not a hitch. Well, I got another crack again, tractor trailer two weeks later went back to same place. I said Ill pay out of pocket, no insurance this time. I saw the first bill on a e-mail and know what the insurance company paid. They wanted to charge me $450 to install another,whattt!! They told me that the glass went up in price.250% mark up,please you boneheads.

Never came out! I scheduled weeks ago asking for an early bird appt. Called again to see a time the Friday before my appt on Monday. Said they didnt have time set, asked if again they could make a note to come as early as possible, 8am. Monday called 745am, to see what time they were coming. Could not get a hold of the tech. I called again at 8:20am, they could not get a hold of the tech. I personally called the tech, left a message, no call back until 9:30am, saying he just got to the shop to load up. I was 4th on the list. Unacceptable!!! I had to reschedule for another day

This location is a well managed store. The staff is friendly and helpful and does excellent quality work. Ive had several windshields replaced here and have had no issues with the work. They keep the vehicle clean during and after installation. Glass is not the same as factory glass, but still good quality. Waiting area has beverages and donuts for those waiting for their vehicle. Staff communicates well and the service is pretty quick. I recommend this location if you need glass on your vehicle repaired or replaced.

Outstanding Technician, Installation, and Price - Wayne, Technician 1850-257 out of Hagerstown, MD, did an outstanding installation on my Jeep, in less than 30 minutes. I was so impressed with his service and speed I gave him a nice tip. I wish all service technicians were as great as him. Definitely recommend Safelite to my family and friends!

Made an appointment-they couldn’t do it for FIVE DAYS. My vehicle was not drivable I asked to which location of the service from my work to my home, they told me it would be another FOUR DAYS. I cancelled my service went somewhere else that came that day for much cheaper and had excellent service with the technician who did the work as well when I was scheduling my appointment. I recommend to everyone I know to shop around and NOT go to SafeLite

Just picked up my car with a repaired windshield - one of those repairs you have to know existed in the first place in order to spot it now. The stone that caused it was large enough to startle a half-deaf guy (me) at 70 mph. When I got home and saw the damage I was almost certain that Id be shelling out for a replacement - it was a 1-2 inch spider web of fine cracks from the impact spot. I was at least lucky in that the person who saw it at Safelite was Shawn (the owner). I walked in without an appointment and interrupted his lunch which he laughed off and chalked up to said ownership. His candor regarding the possibility of repair was appreciated - he gave it a 50/50 shot at being fixable. He took the time to explain how to keep it from getting worse and advised promptness in taking care of it. 2 minutes later I was on the phone with my insurance company getting a claim started and a reference number to provide to Safelite as the go-ahead. The car was in the shop about a half-hour later and an hour after that I got the call from Yvonne (and a bit later, one from Shawn as well) telling me the car was fixed and ready. To say this made my day is rather an understatement. Anytime you can spend zero $ (I have comp. but the deductible is not exactly low) and walk out of a car repair situation with a repaired car either speaks to a warranty or to extreme competence on the part of the techs who render the service - the latter was true in this case. Shawn might not be able to repair extreme cases like mine all the time but the fact that he took this on himself and trained a co-staffer in the bargain speaks to his skill and expertise. From stoned to repaired in about 3 hours made it all the better. Thanks Shawn, Yvonne, and all hands at Safelite on Penn Ave. in Hagerstown - I highly recommend these people and the work they do!

The people here are very nice. The lobby and the area is very clean. I didnt have any issues while I was there. I really feel comfortable letting this location take care of my car and getting a new windshield. If I have to I get my windshield replaced again, I definitely will be back at this location.

Rewriting this because the owner acknowledged the complaint I had with the walk in front desk people. Since the owner was kind enough to do so we gave them a try. The employee showed up early for us, fixed the windshield very quickly and so far no issues with rain.

The entire experience was seamless. I contacted Safelite for a quote and scheduled the appointment all at the same time. I was kept informed regarding the process through email, and was pleasantly surprised that I received an email with the technicians photo and information the day of installation. The tech (Clifford) was very friendly and didnt mind explaining the process during the install. Very professional and had great attention to detail. The finished product looked better than the factory install in my opinion. Highly recommend.

They didnt reconnect my battery cable properly, which caused a dead battery the next morning and made me 2 hours late for work. They installed the wrong windshield (my car has different windshield options), so now my rear view mirror sits 6 inches lower, and their documentation doesnt match (so either they intentionally lied on paper or they are unaware... either way that concerns me). A week after the original quote, the final price was $60 higher. At the bottom driver corner, they messed up the seal which might cause a leak (Im going to try to fix this on my own because I dont trust Safelite any more). Needless to say, I dont recommend this location. I hope all Safelite locations arent this bad.

Service was good on site but customer service, to schedule initial repair, was just plan wierd to say the least. I still would recommend and use their services in the future but I will go through my insurance company next time.

It was stress free working with safelite to replace my back window. Made my appointment online and was actually able to be taken earlier in the day. Price quoted online was the actual final price! I love that! Will be returning here for any further glass needs!

They did a good job with two front windshield replacements for me; however, when the manual sliding glass broke on my rear truck window, both the corporate person on the phone and the receptionist at this location told me that they would need to replace the entire window, instead of just the sliding glass.However, a few minutes of googling later, I ordered a new sliding glass window from Ebay A week later it came in the mail and my friend and I had it installed in less than two minutes with nothing but a screwdriver. Im not sure if Safelite (corporate) are either crooks that will charge more to do extra work, too lazy to determine if just the sliding window can be replaced, or just plain incompetent. If I trusted Safelite, it would have costed over $500, but I fixed it for $80 and 5 minutes of my time.

Don’t go here if you have insurance!! Your insurance will send here to put aftermarket glass on your vehicle! However if you are like me have a new special edition car with specialized glass! Do not go here! Now I’m in the process of getting them to replace the windshield and window that they incorrectly and inaccurately put in my car! If they fix it immediately because my insurance has granted permission to fix it! Now I’m waiting for Safelite! Not only that they do not clean the window or vaccuum your car! Also the manager here is so rude!!! He yelled at me over phone and lied on me saying I left in handcuffs from his store! Liars

I am currently waiting now 50 minutes past my scheduled time from 8 a.m to 12 p.m and have not even received a phone call nor a text saying they will be late. I bet when they show they are still gonna make me pay that money. I just think its false advertisement from what they say on there t.v commercials just to get your business.

They sent a technician, Ben, to my house with a window replacement for my back windshield when I clearly stated the cap window attached to the truck. Ben told me he might be able to fix it and would call me back in an hour to confirm, then left. A day later, I called them to get an update and after sitting on hold for over 10 minutes they told me they never have done anything like that and couldnt help me. An apology would have been appreciated. As a local business owner, my vehicle is a necessity and their poor communication let our company down. I was lied to and then never informed of a final decision. I will never go back there unless it literally the ONLY option.

Very disappointed in Safelite. Had a crack in my windshield that needed replaced so I took my car to them. When I received my vehicle back, my headliner next to the windshield was destroyed and had black resin all over it. My A-pillars also had cuts all over them with the same black resin. Finally, to top it off there was a nice chunk cut out of my dash.

Kyle did an incredibly quick job. Quite impressive actually and the most notable thing I could comment on. I could not be happier. This past week he worked on my wifes 2017 VW Beetle which had a cracked windshield. I know VWs can be a bit difficult to work on but he managed to get through the job without issue. You couldnt even tell the glass had been replaced. Keep up the good work man! I would absolutely recommend giving them a shout out if you ever need a new windshield or a repair. Thank you so much!!

Admittedly was late for my appointment, but Safelite could not accommodate my requested dates and times. Glass America could, went the extra mile to ensure my service, and charged me less than Safelite quoted. Not saying you shouldnt use them, but check all your options first.

One windshield 3 trips to get it right. Not having great feelings about success.

Used them to get the windshield in my car replaced because Allstate has them as a preferred vendor. 1st windshield installed incorrectly, wipers not reinstalled properly, plastic retainers missing and a tool left under the hood. After a total of 4 visits over 2 weeks and a second windshield installed, my car was still not finished properly. Plastic panels not reinstalled properly, car left messy, and adhesive smeared onto my car. After speaking with the manager over 4 times he had told me multiple times his district manager would be in touch. I finally got in touch with the district manager only to find out he was never told to get in touch with me and he had not been informed of my situation. Last time Ill ever use this location.
