We needed a new heat pump and after painful experiences with our home warranty company, we reached out to Cumberland Valley and they were wonderful. Jeff was fantastic for quoting and knowledge. The installation was a breeze. Devon, Kyle, & Allen graciously completed the job in the midst of a snow/rain storm. They smiled the entire time, cleaned up after the job, and took the time to answer all questions. Our money was well spent. Months later & the unit is running great. Jeff was excellent in working with us for a new heat pump replacement. Jeff, and the company, are no-frills and no non-sense. On September 28, 2020, we had our oil furnace and air conditioning systems replaced with Trane units, and the duct work cleaned. The installation crew, Allen, Devin, and Tyler, arrived on time, and were very professional, polite, and treated our house as if it were their own. The duct work was cleaned by Jeff Holmes, and the AC unit was delivered by Chad, who then helped with anything that needed accomplished. We used Cumberland Valley Heating and Air and the entire process was a breeze . Our AC . Went out during the hottest part of summer . We called around and had other estimates but in the end you couldn’t find anyone to touch the pricing with the discounts and 0% financing they offered . Jeff Short came to our house with in one day from our phone call and explained everything and showed us everything with the pamphlets that showed the models he recommended. For once even if you do not know anything about about AC and Heating you were able to understand what you were getting and why he recommended it, which is hard to come by these days . The installers were on time and also very professional and polite . We like to keep our house clean and so did they . They always had on shoe coverings and there was never a mess or tools laying around during the job . They installed two units at our home and to be honest you could not even tell they were there . No trace of them even working in our home . They left No mess and explained everything before they left about the thermostat and filter .This was by far the most easiest decision as a home owner to make by going with Cumberland Heating and Air conditioning..

Cumberland Valley Heating & A/C has been exemplary. Two recent occasions:1) They sent a video that I recorded to Trane that helped diagnose an issue. They returned late Friday afternoon to complete the repair.2) They replaced an aging non-functioning Heat Pump; everything went smoothly. The quoting process was as simple as confirming the size of my existing unit. The installation was seamless. The installers were proficient, worked together, and left my home clean. They met with me before leaving, answered remaining questions, and confirmed that I was satisfied. The new Trane is quieter than the one it replaced, and it heats our home quickly.The person who answers the phone is terrific. She fit appointments around my schedule, connected me with service technicians, estimators, and confirmed availability and pricing of parts.In addition to writing this review, I have recommended Cumberland Valley to a co-worker.

I had Cumberland Valley install a 20XLi heat pump and a XV95 furnace in 2011 on my main floor, which has been running flawlessly. I had Jeff come back in Dec. 2020 and install a 20XV heat pump and a TAM9 air handler on my second floor. Cody and Tyler did a excellent job with the installation. Jeff from Cumberland Valley heating/AC came to my house and reviewed all my options for a new unit. I decided to go with a heat pump/AC unit. I previously had only an AC unit and it was 24 years old. He gave me a price and went over financing and I knew what my payment would be before he left. He emailed me a few days later and told me the installers could be there next week and it would take two days to complete the job . I needed additional air vents installed in the kitchen and bath. The installers made the cuts they needed, ran the new duct work for the new vents.The installers came to the house and did everything in one day. They cleaned up after themselves and had all the paperwork on the table for me when I got home from work. They left my house just as they found, clean.I am very satisfied with everyone from Cumberland Valley. Cumberland Valley was very professional, quick, and on time. However, the new heat pump runs so loud, we need to turn up the television every time it kicks on. We’re told the output motor is already set as low as it goes. I guess we’re stuck!Update to my review of a month ago. Cumberland Valley returned to my home and made a few adjustments to our ductwork and venting which improved our air flow immensely. I would recommend this company for all of your HVAC needs.

Well we just had a new furnace and air conditioning unit installed. So far so good. They s err not 3 guys to do the work. They knew what they doing, were professional about it. But this is only day 2 after the job. The air unit is working great, find it gets so much cooler quicker. Are old unit would take hours to drop 4 degrees, this new one about 30min. But I will come back if I have any problems.

We chose this vendor because their price was competitive and we are very pleased with our choice. The company gave us a quote; scheduled the work over a three-day period; arrived timely; completed the job on time; and, cleaned up after each days work. Thanks for a job well done! We had a problem with a 5 year old Mitsubishi mini-split that wouldnt cool. I was able to make an appointment with Cumberland Valley who came out two days later to accommodate my schedule. A faulty condenser coil was diagnosed and the technician was able to get the part ordered under warranty! Less than a week later I was notified that the part was in and we scheduled another visit to install. All good. Technician Cleverton was pleasant, professional, and experienced. Great service. All the 5 star reviews have to be paid for reviews and not real customers. This is by far the absolute worst business! We had a Trane system installed by them and have had nothing but problems. Any call to have things fixed ALWAYS results in multiple visits as they can never seem to fix it right the first time. The most recent issue was the service technician had just been out to service the system...still had problems, so husband called back. Tech comes back next day.Changes an electrical switch...now system wont stop running! Call again ...tech comes and puts a note on the door with my son right there! Tech claims he banged on both front and back doors. Interesting...we have a door bell...and a very large dog who would have barked. Worst of all is the attitudes--especially the women who schedule appointments (Melissa and Denise). Both are incredibly rude and hostile. When my son called, she accused him of lying about being there...so, husband calls. She was rude to him too! When my husband asked to speak with the service manager, she claimed he was out of the office. My husband asked for a return call from either the owner or the service manager (which he never received) and made it clear he was not attempting to reschedule with them again...she slammed the phone down in his ear! Oh, a competitor came out today (and actually knocked)...it was a bad fan. Bottom line, avoid this business like the plague!Update to co. response: the internet is not being used to resolve this dispute. That opportunity passed with multiple contacts with your staff. Its being used to provide an honest experience weve had with your company. Yes, the Service Manager eventually left a message for my husband, but by that point we had already decided to use another company. And,yes...a number was called that day too. For the record,my son is a working professional who had taken leave to be present for the service. Instead of asking me why would your tech show up not to do the service, maybe you need to ask your technician why he elected not to knock or use doorbell. However, your choice to provide the response below proves my point and demonstrates its a top down leadership issue. Thank you and good luck with that.

Cumberland Valley replaced my oil furnace and 20 year old AC unit with new Trane equipment. The natural gas furnace is much more efficient and is saving us a lot of money on fuel costs. The new AC unit is also more efficient and keeps the house much cooler at a lower cost than our old unit. Their workmanship was first class and they had our old furnace out and the new one installed in only 1 day. I highly recommend Cumberland Valley Heating & Air Conditioning.System has now been operating for 3 heating and cooling seasons with no issues. Very pleased.

Last week I had both a Trane heat pump and air handler installed and must say so far the system is living up to it reputation. The previous system was a Trane that came with the house. Unfortunately it seems with most heat pump systems that I have had in the past, the first thing that their is a problem with is the coil in the air handler. the coil was made with copper. This new system has a coil made of Aluminum. Hopefully I wont run into this problem again, at least if only in the far future. The people who did the work were very professional and new exactly how to get the job done. I would highly recommend this company for what they do. thank you for doing a great job

They were very professional; came promptly the day of the appointment I had for the installation of a new furnace and a/c. The job was finished more quickly than I was expecting. All that should have been removed was removed - no sign of any trash or old bits of things left behind. I was happy with their work and wouldnt hesitate to recommend Cumberland Valley.

Cumberland Valley Heating & Air Conditioning really came through for our family when our older furnace died. Not only did they arrive immediately to troubleshoot our furnace but discovered the heat exchange was cracked, potentially leaking deadly carbon monoxide back into our house. That makes them lifesavers in more ways than one by possibly saving our lives and saving us from freezing by replacing the furnace extremely fast. They also waived the emergency service call fee which really helped us financially. The cost of a new Trane furnace was much less expensive than I ever thought. They definitely have a customer for life.

I have had service calls in the past to repair my AC, and this winter I had a brand new Trane AC system installed by Cumberland Valley. They are always prompt, professional, and friendly. I had CVH&AC come out and quote on a mini-split system for my home and hands down they were my first choice. Not only was their price the most competitive for identical systems, they were significantly cheaper than some other non-Mitsubish systems I was quoted for. Jeff was quick to arrange a visit to come check the layout and provde the quote and specifications and then CVH&AC setup the appointment to install with no wasted time. The installers worked quickly and efficiently, took care to ensure that they kept the area clean both during and after install and it up and running very quickly.Additionally CVH&AC uses Mitsubishi, and if you do your homework, youll find that they are the best of breed for mini-split systems. Ive had mine installed for a couple of weeks now and its amazing. When people say that youll have difficulty detecting that its on because its so quiet, its 100% true. Unlike traditional forced air systems that distribute air from floor or ceiling vents, you never feel like youre getting a blast of cold air from time to time. Instead the system keeps the house pleasantly cool all the time, with no noisy spinning up and down. I can be quite unaware what the temperature is outside until I leave the house and suddenly find out its humid and hot. The unit I got also has heating too, so on the few cold mornings the house has also been the exact same temperature as I have the unit in auto-mode, itll warm or cool whenever is needed. The outside unit is silent as well, and so far does not appear to have spun up beyond a lazy spinning fan its so efficient.Very happy with the company, the service, the price and the product they sell!

They respond quickly and solve any problems I may have with my air conditioning and propane fueled furnace. They are friendly and professional and always leave the work area clean and free of any debris that may have been caused by the service. They fully explain what theyve done and offer advice on maintaining my HVAC systems. Their costs are not unreasonable. I will continue using CVH&AC without hesitation.

The motor of our heat pump burned out, and we needed to replace it. We decided to replace our 22-year-old propane furnace at the same time. Trane heat pumps have one of the best reputations for reliability, and the 5-year zero-percent finance plan offered by Trane at the time was too good to pass up. Cumberland Valley installed our new heat pump, furnace, and humidifier on April 30, 2015. We are very pleased at the quality of the installation and the performance of the new system. A very good experience, and I can highly recommend this company.

On Saturday February 14, 2015 (Valentines Day) one of the coldest days of the year. My furnace faild. A Cumberland Valley Heating & Air Conditioning technician was at my house and replaced the malfunctioning parts within an hour. He was very professional and understanding. Now my furnace is working better than ever. I strongly recommend C.V.H.A . because I was 100% completely satisfied and will have them service my air conditioners in mid Spring.
