This is a very difficult review for me to write. I have no complaints with dining in as the service is impeccable, food is always good. If this was a review for dining at the Coach House the review would be 5 stars.BUT ......I say DO NOT order delivery from here. They are careless with getting the order correct. Examples:1. Western Burger had no bacon and no bbq sauce2. Chicken Fingers dinner - requested brown rice, steamed broccoli, matzoh ball soup. Did NOT receive the soup nor the rice. they gave us the house salad and it had rotting tomatoes in it. (see pic)This was not the first order I had delivered from them that was screwed up. I will eat in house again but NEVER order delivery again.
I really don’t enjoy leaving bad reviews however this is necessary. My friend and I were traveling home and were looking for a place to eat. Not many places are open at 1:30am but this place was. It wasn’t busy at all of course so we had high hopes. The bus boy who gave us water had an awful attitude and killed the beautiful vibe this restaurant has to offer. It took over half an hour to be served and it took another 45 minutes for food to come out. I’m not surprised that people were starting to walk out. A couple happened to walk out without paying and one of the employees started screaming and making a scene. Very unprofessional. Mind you only 2 other tables in the whole restaurant had people seated. Regardless, We finally received our food. I ordered a simple Belgian waffle. I had high hopes however when I took a bite it tasted like it was made with sour milk. I was so disappointed. The only welcoming thing was the hostess singing along to the music, she needs a raise, especially after consoling the screaming employee. I won’t be dining here again.
I think it was the best idea I had after leaving work I was on the way home and I saw Coach House restaurant and I decided to come to dinner at a stake to start my birthday, I was greeted by a young lady who was talking to another in Spanish and told a very funny anecdote and then I was attended by a woman with such a sweet, beautiful voice that transmitted an incredible peace, I think it was the best decision I have made to face my new year to live. Thank you for bring me that special night.
The ambience is awesome but the food was average. I ordered egg Benedict which came with homemade fries - which could have been better made. The bread was kinda hard. Worth one visit for ambience and location, not the food!
Very average tasting diner with prices that dont match. Inside is pretty and seating does look nice wood and stained glass all over and a traditional diner counter on one side. I got a spinach bacon and cheese omelet, it had everything advertised and not a single bit of seasoning or favor added all ingredients were clearly just dropped on to the omelet while it cooked. 3/4ths of the way through the cheese ended and i could clearly tell it was the only thing making the meal edible. Came with homefries, similarly unseasoned and dry, tasted like some boiled potatoes you slapped on the grill then flipped once.My friend got the French toast and a side of turkey bacon and a cranberry juice, considerably better nice brioche bread good amount of food nice flavor throughout. Her meal was good but the side was 3 slices for 6 dollars. Ive bought whole packs for that the cranberry juice was also 6 for a small size cup of what was probably oceanspray. Payed 40 with tip would not recommend there are many better diners with larger and more generous serving sizes for the same or better prices
I had to pick up an order for door dash here. Im not sure about their food but their customer service was horrible. Happened tonight. 10.15.2021. The gentleman kept telling me 2 minutes, 2 minutes turned into a half an hour. This restaurant clearly needs additional staff on Friday nights. There were people coming in after me, sitting down to eat and leaving before I even got the food. And he was unapologetic and did not care. Absolute horrible service. Ive never encountered that before as a dasher. Dashers beware!!
Service was fast. I ordered eggs and sausage with toast. They served coffee right away and only came around to freshen up the coffee. The eggs were good, the sausage was a bit overdone but not too bad. It was overall very good.
The service was great, and the prices were good. I had the chicken parmigiana with linguini, it was delicious! My compliments to the chef 😎👍
Spent almost $300 dollars last night there.Each dollar was worth it.The food was great,Customer service was great especially our server Nersisa was the best.Great ambience with a classy style.please reorganize or change the flowers by the fire place.You can also add some fall decor outside as well.Thank you very much for making our dinner great last night!!!!
Extremely rude and unprofessional service! I made an order for pick up and when I arrived I was told my order was given to the wrong person and there was nothing they could do. When making an online order, staff are supposed to check your phone for the proper credentials/info before handing out an order. Staff refused to take ownership of the issue and reimburse me for the money I spent at their restaurant. As a person who has worked in customer service and for several restaurants, there should have been no issue making the order again or reimbursing the paying customer.

Food has gone down hill. Family of 3 and we ordered:1.French Toast- no flavor, Just bread dipped in egg. soggy taste to it as if it was not cooked thoroughly. Disgusting.2. Scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon- home fries had ZERO seasoning and I counted 2 small specks of bell peppers. Potatoes tastes old like it was 2 days ago. Eggs and bacon were fine.3. Grilled cheese(kids menu)- No complaints.Coffee had burnt taste to it.Service was also lacking. I also noticed another table next to us pratically left half eaten food on thier plates. I guess they did not enjoy the meal neither.Never coming back to Coach Diner.
I love that place always my husband and I we go to eat I like the onion soup and the services is awesome we have a friend he is from Bangladesh make us to go the stress a way .he is the waiter .
The service is quick clean and the people that serve you very polite of course I got to be polite if they want a nice too but I truly light the coach so I give it 4 stars or five.
The food was at best okay but the service was terrible. The waitress seemed to have a bad attitude and missed several items that were supposed to come with our meals. When we asked for them she gave some of the lamest excuses. We also asked her about splitting the bill and she told us we could do it up front only for the front to tell us we couldn’t. Clearly the place needs some better communication...I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place. I just hope our tip went to the nice waiter who refilled our waters.
Coach House Diner is a great place for groups who cant decide where they want to eat. For one, they have a whole range of breakfast food, to burgers, and seafood choices, and a salad bar. This place has plenty of choices, it can be hard to choose. Theres no particular theme in terms of food honestly, its a great local New Jersey style diner. I really like the disco fries here. Second, one friend I was with ordered nachos and there was plenty to go around, and dish sizes really dont make sense. The portion sizes for meals do not make sense at this place and I cant really complain. Some people will have huge meals that they cant finish on their own, while others will end up with smaller sized meals for the same price. Its a great sharing type of restaurant for sure. Third, the service here is great too. Water is always refilled and were asked how we are doing. I enjoy this place for what it is. A fine Jersey diner at its best. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice group meal.

During covid-19 we stopped here after a full day of river tubing at the Delaware water gap we stopped here. No line no wait. I must admit I was a little hesitant at first but I thought hey its covid and they are trying so lets give it a go. Anywho there were only 2 servers that we saw and tables were spaced out so they were able to serve all 9 of us accordingly. The food was great but I wished I got my appetizers first but all in all they tried their best and did great.

This place was the bomb. The food here was really good along with great staff. The pancakes with chocolate chips on top of ice cream were beyond amazing. The waffle fired were better than Chick Filet. Their chocolate shakes are ordinary chocolate shakes. I will definitely come to this place again.

I ordered two Angus steaks today, but I couldnt eat them, so I almost threw them away.Steak is not even an Angus, but it seems like a mixture of meat and smells bad, so I couldnt eat it.The chicken noodle soup tasted worse than canned soup, so I threw it away.Ive always been writing good restaurant reviews, but this place is so terrible that I post them like this because I dont want other people to avoid it.

Good food but EXPENSIVE, We ordered a pasta and chicken dish a few months ago and it was 21 dollars. Maybe they didnt have it on the menu but overall the hamburgers are good and come with good portions just make sure to bring extra cash.

Bought Lemon Meringue slice. It was runny and didnt hold up as a typical slice would. Maybe the refrigerator wasnt cold enough but was disappointed. The service and food quality is generally very good. This is why four out of five stars.
They hosted my family for an event and handled a rather large crowd perfectly. The food was tasty and I find myself recommending the Calamari ( something I didnt expect to enjoy as much as I did).
The service is great and the food is AMAZING!! We hadnt been before but heard good things and they were right. Definitely recommend giving this place a try!!
My friend and I went there for the first time just for dessert. The lemon meringue pie tasted a few days old. We also asked if they had strawberry shortcake and what we got was a yellow layer cake with strawberry filling, and it tasted old as well. No intention of going back.

I would not eat here. The place is filthy (floor, bathroom, walls, booths, and menus, and the parking lot). If the front of the house is this filthy just imagine what the back looks like. I left without eating anything. Pretty sure I’ll never go back after what the employees said to me after I brought this to their attention. The woman said that there are plenty of restaurants in town to choose from. I told her I agree.
Tasty food bad service.our waiter literally stared at us and walked away on many occasions then complained that he had five tables...most waiters I know like to make the extra money. Any who, our bus boy was the best, and super attentive.

This place has really gone downhill. Food is not fresh or good at all. Had a chicken quesadilla and had a few pieces of chicken and a ton of onions. More like an onion quesadilla. Fries were not even fully cooked. One of the worst diners in this area.
Con:The food here isnt very good at all. Their fried chicken pieces are the worst. Mashed potatoes are watery AF. The chicken fingers look like long pieces of fried poo. The zucchini sticks and french fries are greasy and will give you upset stomach. Salads the size of mountains but no flavor. Chilly fries, buffalo fries and disco fries arent nearly as awesome as they sound.Pros:The burgers and omelette are good and so are the soups. Nice space, very comfy.I stopped coming to this place. Finding good food was like winning the lottery. And expensive.

Went here yesterday and had probably the worst dining experience of my life. To start the host did not say one word to us upon coming in or while paying our bill. Very rude. The service was horrendous. We sat for at least 20 mins before our drinks came. In between 2 other people asked us if we were being helped. Drinks finally came and they were wrong of course. Food took forever. Burgers were burned on the outside and so was the bun. Burgers were also tiny, not a diner burger more like a cheap frozen patty. No forks or napkins. Seems like no one knows what’s going on or cares.
The food was really good.... My only complaint is I felt like the waiter didnt come back to the table often enough... We mustve say there for about 5 maybe 10 minutes b4 he came to us to take a drink order. Then after we ordered everything we waited. And everything came out at once. Soup, foods and drinks. I know he was busy here seemed like he was the only one there waiting on everyone. Maybe he couldve used 1 more person to help? Cant say... Thats the only reason why I give it 4 stars & not 5.

This is the first diner that doesnt look like a diner. The interior looks like an old fashioned German beer house. Apart from the decor, food was ok. I ordered the reuben sandwhich with pastrami and surprisingly the pastrami was bland instead of the classic salty and meaty flavor you get. They were skimpy on the sauerkraut too. The disco fries which is basically gravy and cheese on fries was a disappointment. I was expecting a sort of poutine like fries but instead I got a bland gravy out of a can with mozzarella cheese. The only thing worth noting were the pickles and customer service. Wouldnt come back again for the food.
This is a great place! Waitress was polite and very attentive and you get more for your buck! Cant wait to revisit!
Two of us Stopped in for breakfast Sunday 3/21/21 at 8am. We were one of only 2 tables with plenty of staff present. We ordered eggs Benedict and the lumberjack special. The menus were dirty and greasy as well as the ketchup bottle. Food was ok but the service was horrible.I tried getting a 2nd cup of coffee from 2 different staff members and was ignored. Waved to my waiter and asked for more coffee and waited another 5 minutes. Asked him again nicely and he had the nerve respond in a condescending manner to say he was busy! We were the only customers in his section! I shot back How busy can you be? There’s no one else in your section and the restaurant is empty with only 2 tables. Good thing there weren’t more customersIf he couldn’t serve one table it would have been a disaster. Told him we weren’t coming back and he said that’s up to me. We also cancelled a take out order. When I paid at the cashier he didn’t even ask how everything was. But I proceeded to tell him what occurred and let him know we weren’t returning. He could care less. We try different diners every week and I have never experienced atrocious service as this morning. You can tell Coach House has deteriorated. The front entrance door was very dirty and the glass needed cleaning. Ownership needs a shift manager present to oversee the floor. Adios

Great service for a late night meal at this 24hr diner. I ordered the chicken and broccoli with fettuccini in garlic sauce - the flavor was great but the fettuccini was boiled too much. I always prefer my pasta al dente. My husband had the fettuccini and added spinach which was ok. The waiter offered us the option of soup or salad with our dinner and we also had garlic bread on the side. Eventhough our meals was just ok, I think that they still deserved the 4 stars for customer service. I will definitely go back.
When I visited, their food made my girlfriend puke. They gave me the wrong order of chicken, and it was uncooked. We had to ask 6-7 times about a drink we ordered before it arrived. Terrible place.
Omelettes are pricey.. they getting bit pricey overall for diner food.
My fries were soggy and my rueben had 1 layer of pastrami with less than full coverage of the sandwich.Coleslaw, bread, and swiss were really good, Russian dressing was sus, way too much sauerkraut, barely tasted the pastrami but it was decent, not spicy enough imo.Pickle was good.Im sure their other stuff is better, but a Pastrami Rueben is a Tri State diner classic and I wanted to warn my fellow rueben lovers.
So sorry to say but my visit yesterday on the 4th of July was absolutely 💯% awful, my roast beef sandwich was extremely small and dry tasted like sand, the mozzarella sticks tasted like cardboard, my wifes hamburger wasnt cooked the way she wanted it was just smacked together very upset about my visit !!!!

The server was very nice and prices are fair but Im not impressed with the food. The iced tea is not fresh brewed, the salad was nothing special (mostly lettuce) and the salmon was over cooked. Since theyve been there so long, I expected better.

My Indian waiter took a half hour to come to my table give me my Shirley Temple after I was finished ripped off the paper off the straw put his fingers in my drink and paper in my drink, after that he gave my brother is tiny sliver of chocolate cake and maybe pay full price!!!

Went here at like 12 in the morning..the place was nice & clean..food was okay but hey its a diner..im giving 3 stars because they gave me dirty cups multiple times..u guys need to learn how to clean your dishes properly & the waiter was saying that ppl give a certain amount for tips lol..like can I see my bill first & determine what kind of tip I would like to give !
