If I ordered the items in advance, they would collect them and when I went to pick them up, I could receive them without waiting. I have already paid for the order, which saves time and is very helpful to me on weekdays because I have a job.

Good selection of stuff except every year the past two years weve come very early in the Fall for Halloween decorations and theyve either been mostly sold out or just not stocked much. Very disappointing. Otherwise its a good store. Long lines though so thats really annoying.

I love the selection, the prices and the self checkout process. Have also earned and redeemed Target Circle rewards.

They have everything. Including a fast food chain in many along with Starbucks. Eat, drink and enjoy the shopping experience with a grocery store within.

I did an order drive through, I was SO upset after I opened the package of my curtain to notice the design was different. I wanted that one design and they gave me a random curtain… also, when I went to pick it up. I clicked I was there like 1 minute before I got there. I saw the girl walking to the drive pick up, as I was pulling over. The girl very rudely told me “next time click that you’re here, when you’re here.” I didn’t say it 10 minutes before I arrived! Anyways…….

This used to be one of my favorite places to shop. Always organized, quick turn around after a Saturday, fully stocked and beautiful displays that would entice me to SHOP! But, lately, especially the past few months, the conditions of the store have gotten noticeably worse and It doesn’t seem to be improving. The clothing aisles are messy, (particularly the boys and shoe area), the home/seasonal decor display areas are being set up later than other stores and not 100% all the way. The Hearth and Home area has been a disaster (everything cluttered all over the place and on the floor, making it unappealing and uneasy to navigate) etc. I understand this store has high volume and can’t always be “clean and organized”, but this is not based on just a Monday morning or coming in once on a bad day -which I’d understand. This is on a consistent basis no matter the day. I hate leaving negative reviews, but coming from a retail background myself, I find it baffling how any GM would find this acceptable and take any pride in their store looking this way. I will say that the lovely woman I see frequently in the morning stocking and cleaning up the bullseye area has done a great job keeping that in tact. I forget her name (forgive me), but I know she’s been there for years. I’d love to see this store pick things up again. Please consider taking a look at your aisles/displays and seeing which areas really need re-focus. Care about your store because trust me, it shows when you dont. I’d love to shop there for the holidays and am hoping you once again create the beautifully stocked, organized displays you once had. I look forward to it.

Customer service was great!

Friendly, helpful & professional associates throughout the store. They were all actively following covid safety protocols (cleaning carts, wearing masks properly, 6ft social distancing). Store looked cleaned and welled stocked. Prices looked good. I was able to use a nice online coupon via target app.

Workers are nice and stores are usually organized and clean.

PROS: One of the biggest targets in the area this store has everything. A Starbucks, inventory, its clean, and loads of parking for a stand-alone store.CONS: Most of the workers make it seem like they never want to be there. Whether its the floor people, the customer service reps, or even the cashiers. I dont know if management is hard on them or overworks them, but they have to be nicer.OVERALL: I would still come here despite the employee issue. Its a little out of my way but they do have the best selection

Great products at prices cheaper than anywhere else.

Today I ordered a drive up... and I had the most lovely experience with Ashley & I usually have awful experiences with target drive ups.. but Ashley was a kind young lady she was respectful & understanding and helped me a lot with everything I needed, she proceeded with telling me to have a lovely night and to stay safe. Hands down my best experience at a drive up!

It was extremely busy, but the lines moved quickly and efficiently. And I found everything I needed.

So quick with getting my drive up order processed and to me. I ordered a few things online and within 40 mins I got the confirmation to come pick it up! Love it!

The gentleman, Mike, who delivered our order to the car went above and beyond. Had inadvertently placed in store pick up order. He was kind enough to bring it to the car. He didnt know but my husband who was with me is immunocompromised. He refused a tip for his services. Truly an asset to your organization. Thank you again, Mike

A consolidated shopping experience

I just like the Hackensack target. It’s not too busy. It’s clean. They are organized. They have a friendly staff.

A lot of selections and reasonable prices except the frozen products. Store is clean and staffs are friendly. I get to like shopping at Target in Hackensack, NJ during the Covid-19 pandemic. I used to shop at Shoprite in Palisades Park, NJ for groceries, like banana and avocado. Not anymore. I think the quality is better than the supermarket.

This store is clean, you can feel safe during this virus shopping there,I think theyre handling this situation very well compared to some stores, I see employees cleaning shopping carts etc.

This place is filthy and unsafe. If you have even the slightest Covid fears, stay the heck away from this location. Drive another 15 minutes to Closter where they take your safety seriously. There we?as a mob of about 50 people in sort of 2 lines. No flow directions in the aisles either. We left - which wasnt easy either. We had to work through the unsafe mob up front to exit.

I like the merchandise at Target stores very much, but everything is over priced. Therefore, I have to buy some items at Walmart for a much lower cost. I do like and prefer the atmosphere of the Target stores a hundred times more than the Walmart stores. It would be great if I could get all my shopping done in a Target store at the lower Walmart prices.

I always choose Target over that other store due to cleanliness and quality. This particular store didnt seem to have gone through the remodel that others are and i like it that way. Everything easy to find and the flow of the store made sense. The newer floor remodels, meh, does not appeal to me. I would rather go to Hackensack than shop the North Bergen one. Cleaner, better flow, and better product selection

I think that this target is good but if you’re ordering from drive up service. On a Saturday after 7 pm. Don’t expect to get your order in two hours.

I love target and its employees. Today a gentleman(employee) gave me a cart and indicated that he sanitized it for me. I told him thank you and i will wipe it down inside so my son can sit in there. He said sure i can do it for u if u like. So nice and kind!

I LOVE Target! Especially since they bring items to my trunk!

My order was delivered in my car incorrectly. I didnt know till I came back home and I had to make the trip back to the store again. Once at the store it took over 30 mins to figure out what went wrong. Ultimately, one of the items was sold out and they didnt know until I was back at the store for a second time. When I had called the store, the associate said I would be compensated for the mistake, but all I got was attitude.

They have everything!

In the end, even though I was told an Aspire modem/router combo would work with Optimum, which it did not, I got a refund after wasting much time going on the expertise of the sales guy. Lesson learned: do your own homework. Maybe the guy really thought his info was correct, or maybe he just wanted a sale. Who knows.

The cashier was excellent. While other registers were getting two people out the door she was more the ten people out the door with extreme proficiency and courtesy. I would hire her in a minute! She should be training the others to do as well as she does. Always a pleasure to get in her line at Target.

My wife and i have been going to this target for a few months now, we have never been more impressed with the cleanliness in the store and helpfulness of the staff ! Everyone we have dealt with has been amazing and always go above and beyond to help my wife and I. Special shout out to the my favorite cashier Ms. Alice had it not been for her I would not have known how much savings there is with target and their coupon, Thank you 😊. We love seeing her everytime we go.

Hard to pick one main reason for my review today, but EMPLOYEES will be my answer! Store was really well-staffed & that goes a LONG way. Employees were upbeat and helpful. While I stood in line for the HOPES of hand sanitzer (not the promise) and truck was unloaded, the staff was making thoughtful and calm announcements. I stopped a manager on my way out to compliment the staff on the overall care for the customer shown today. Even in the short, manageable lines the cashiers were directing shoppers to less-crowded registers!

Desmond in the Optical Department is the best!I would like to commend Desmond. I have been a regular client of his for close to ten years. Desmond is always upbeat, kind, and professional. He is the number one reason I keep coming back to Target Optical in Hackensack. If every business had employees like Desmond they would succeed in unimaginable ways, because you can’t beat the personal connection that a great employee develops with his or her customers.Target Optical helps me to see, but Desmond helps me to see the world in a better way.

The employee placed my bag in the back of my car. When I arrived at home I realized I was given the wrong order. It took me 40 minutes calling the store to finally get someone to answer. Only to be told that the order was found and they would have it there for me. Totally inconvinience by something that should have been very convinient.

Fast efficient great service

Target has great things and good prices most times. The best sales ever!

Good items, helpful staff in the floor, and better selection than Walmart.. But lines always seem to be long.. also confusing with the split they do at check out which separates self check out and cashier check out. This just makes lines even longer and have customers confused.

I had an excellent checkout experience at the Target in Hackensack today. Duquari was excellent. When I got up to the checkout counter he greeted me. I was very surprised because normally no one says anything. I just had to let him know I really appreciated that and told him, with that attitude he will get very far. Thank you for your excellent customer service.

Dont bother doing order pickup here. There are two separate areas for pickup vs exchanges, but youll still be made to wait in the long line of returns regardless.

Masks, hand sanitizer and disinfection solution are all in stock. One of the few department stores that are open during the lockdown.Staff are friendly. Some of the shelves for grocery are empty. It might be too early that merchandise are still been stock up.Staff are very tentative about sanitation. She disinfect the self check out register both before and after customers are done.

Target is great and a thousand times better than Walmart. I like going there for my iTunes cards. I used to use Google but now I have an iPhone so I don’t get Google Play Card anymore thank God.

Quick and Easy to pick up my order.

So I went to Target in Hackensack one morning last week and kept seeing signs for the Cartwheel app. I tried downloading it but I guess my phone wasn’t linking up to WiFi. I went to one of the associates at the self check-out area and met Toni. I’ve never met anyone so willing to help. She was so sweet and accommodating that I just had to write a review on her. She was completely going out of her way to try and help me any way she could... and she did. She truly made my day. I will always choose this Target over others because of her. Thank you Toni for your kind heart and generosity.

Good selection, friendly staff.At my last visit, David at checkout aisle 5 was especially helpful (kudos!). This is the Target I got to most often. It has a nice Starbucks within it, too, friendly staff there as well.

Disorganization during the outdoor lines to get in. It was clear 2nd line for online pickup/returns was set aside with constant verbal instructions which is what I wanted (online pickup). After that I stood 6th in line for online pickup. It moved and when it was my turn it stopped for 20-25 minute and inside it appeared the online pickup was empty but I couldnt tell. I waited and waited and the line behind me grew and grew. NOBODY was assigned my line and we stood there for 20 minutes until I had to motion to the employee managing the in store shopping line to check if I could go in? She then announced I can go in and it was empty the customer online pickup area. Terrible. Infuriating. Why advertise online pickup if Target doesnt care to make it easier or quicker and instead make us stand in the cold stormy winds?

I went Saturday morning 3/29/20 had a great shopping experience the employee (Kiana) got the vacuum from the back somewhere and even put it in my cart for me very helpful!!!

Target is going downhill. Used to be my happy place, now I leave frustrated and without half the things I needed due to inadequate stock. Ive noticed stores in general, especially this one, are understaffed and the staff that is there is busy putting merchandise out in the middle of the day - leaving grocery carts and heavy pallets in the middle of the aisles while they slowly stock the shelves. Clothing sections are messy and difficult to navigate as well. Once you get to check out - your options are to self check out which is inconvenient if you have a lot of items, or wait on enormous lines because only two people are working registers. I hope Target picks up the slack - or I will have to go elsewhere.
