I was greeted immediately upon entering the establishment, and taken care of right away. There was work being done on another car, but my car was taken In as well. Everyone was very professional, and work was done fast. Drove my car out shortly after in better condition than before. Of course I was told that I have to change my oil regularly because it was in bad condition. I will need to follow up on that advice. This is the place for transmission and other car repair servicing! My low-mileage VW GTI needed a new transmission. No other service provider wanted to work on a VW. These guys did not hesitate because they work on all makes of cars. After reviewing repair options, we decided to replace the transmission and repair the wheel bearings. The price was competitive and the warranty on the transmission was terrific. They have a highly trained professional mechanics and a very courteous front-end team. No problem they fixed it and within good timing! Finding a place that can safely repair your car has new meanings in the time of Covid. Not only did they fix my tire problem in under 20 minutes, but they were so conscientious about keeping the surfaces of my car germ free that, as a former medic, I was thoroughly impressed. Ada was especially courteous, professional and kind. She stopped me from getting into my car and wiped down every surface that could have been in contact with the tech. Took off all the plastic and paper guards they used during the repair. She greeted everyone with a smile and made it feel like a pleasure to be there. Having a 1 year old daughter, I feel extra nervous about having a working vehicle, especially in the winter. Because of Ada, I wont be going anywhere else from now on but here.

DO NOT GO HERE! I brought in my CR-V because I noticed the rpms were jumping around while my car was in park. They took it in the same day that I called which I thought was great, but called me back a few hours later stating they werent able to find anything wrong with my car. I left it like that because I needed my car to get to work and school but then a couple days later, my car started making some really bad noises under the hood in the morning so I called them again and brought the car in that same day. Apparently the first mechanic who took it out on a test ride didnt find anything wrong with my car. They had a second one do the same and finally he was able to hear the loud noises that my car was making. Apparently they changed the serpentine belt, and two other things on my car. I go and pick up my car two days later and I drive it around for a while. It sounds okay. Two days later my car starts making the same noises I went to get fixed. So im coming home from work, going down the highway and the noises get louder, until all of a sudden they stop. The battery light then turns on and Im suddenly afraid my cars battery is gonna die while Im on the highway. Luckily I made it all the way home and I pop open the hood to find that the serpentine belt completely came off. Now it made sense why the battery light came on. Now I have my car at the Honda dealership to fix, what was already supposedly fixed as well as hoping that the alternator wasnt also affected and in need of replacement. Do not go here unless you want a halfway done job that could result in more damages to your vehicle!

Great staff with a reasonable price

One of the cylinders in my car started misfiring due to a bad spark plug. I happened to be right by here so stopped in. Despite it being a busy Saturday they still squeezed me in and had the problem diagnosed, parts ordered, and cylinder fixed within a few hours and for a reasonable price.

I brought my vehicle in for a transmission issue, from the very beginning the customer service was friendly and helpful. They took my car in and diagnosed it within a day and kept me posted on everything. They replaced my transmission and got my car back to me in no time. I will definitely recommend this shop to all my friends and family if they have any issues with their transmission or any automotive needs. Expert, Professional, Fast & Affordable ServiceWe bought a Dodge Charger from Carvana. Right after the 7 day evaluation period, the check engine light came on with a code P3497. This AAMCO is an authorized CarvanaCare/SilverRock service provider. I had taken the car to a Dodge Dealer who failed to fix the problem. As soon as Juan saw the code, he told me, I know what this is! I can fix it. Look around the lot: you see those three Dodge HEMIs? I work on these cars all the time. In ONE DAY FLAT he opened up the engine, diagnosed two bad Selenoids and replaced them and the manifold gasket. I did a test drive of over 100 miles and the problem is fixed! Heida, pronounced Aydah, the manager is the most polite and professional and sweet person youll meet. You dont have to chase AAMCO: Heida called me to keep me informed. Plus their rates are highly competitive. I highly recommend this AAMCO.

Brought my car in to check transmission problem. They took time to check out thoroughly everything about car before deciding what was problem. I was very impressed with their results.

Great place, surprisingly clean for a grease shop, we towed our 4Runner about a year ago and Robert went far and beyond my expectations, he explained every step necessary to get the car right and explained cost up front and warned us of possible delays do to undercarriage rust. If they found an issue that wasn’t a part of the original quote, he called and sent us an image of the issue. He then asked for authorization. An extensive job and a little pricey but reasonable, Robert made us feel at ease with the repairs. I promised him a review back then and I never got to do it. We have a different car now and we just visited last week and we are so disappointed to find out he’s no longer at this local. Seriously, best Manager interaction I have ever had at any establishment.

I took my car in to get a transmission fluid change and my oil was so dark that they advise me not to change the oil because it would make it worse. I respect management for their honesty instead of trying to charge me knowing it would’ve made my car even worse. Thank you Nate and Natalie!!!!

I dont normally write reviews I go by word of mouth. Let me first say that the owners Hector and Aida both have great customer service skills. The problem is that one of their technicians has sticky fingers and stole something from my vehicle. I dropped my car off and explained the problem. When I called back for an update the information that I received made it seem as if my information was not passed correctly to the technician or he didnt really check the vehicle properly the first time because he was too busy going through my center console. When I finally received a quote I stopped by the shop to speak with the owner and discuss my options. Aida was very nice and although the quote did seem to be expensive I was likely going to have the work performed there. I paid the diagnostic fee and told her I needed to give it some thought. In actuality I was just going to park the car in my driveway until I had enough money to replace the transmission and bring it back. When I got in my vehicle I checked to make sure everything was in order and I noticed that something was missing. It was a pen flashlight that I specifically placed in the center console before leaving the vehicle. I know this because I always keep it in my cup holder and I placed it in the center console so it would not be out in the open and grow legs. I immediately went back in and spoke to the other owner Hector. I asked who the technician that worked on my car was and if I can speak to him. Conveniently, he had just left. I explained the situation to Hector and he both went back to my vehicle to check. He offered to pay for the missing item which was only about 20 bucks but the point is that it should not be missing. This is a major problem for me and as a result I will never do business with them. I was going to pay the $3,800 hundred for a new transmission but because someone there stole my $20 flashlight now they lose out on a customer. I still feel cheated as I paid a $57 service fee for there technician to steal my property. If you are considering this shop PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY VALUABLES IN THE VEHICLE!Reply: Hector did give me $20 for the flashlight that was stolen but like I told him in person, I dont care about the $20. Someone there stole my property from my vehicle. I didnt want to write this review but I felt obligated to share my experience as I would have done if I received a positive experience. I understand you trying to save face for your business but someone there stole my property. Essentially what I paid for was for someone to help themselves to my property. Not to diagnose anything. I knew my transmission needed to be rebuilt. The technicians initial assessment was that I had too much trans fluid. I told you that my hose came off on the turnpike and the fluid spilled all over the engine bay. I told you it was slipping. What exactly did he do besides drive around and take something from my center console? If you would like to speak about this further you have my number. If you want to continue to go back and forth via google reviews I suggest you reconsider. If you want to remedy the situation then lets speak in person with the technician and any one else that you allowed into my vehicle.

First, I drove from NY just to get an opinion on my 04’ Armada truck. After speaking with the boss/owner he told me that what I wanted to do was doable at his shop. I can’t forget the fact that I called late Friday afternoon and was given an 8:30AM appointment. I was there maybe a little over 1 hour but, it was well worth it, and I left there satisfied. I will be taking all three of my Nissan vehicles to this shop. I really felt they went above and beyond

I have been to location several times. I went to get a tire checked and coolant added. They were honest enough to tell me that despite the coolant a/c was still not cold. There was no pressure/ trying to sell service etc. they also spent the time to tell me where the leak was coming from - and to take it to an expert tire place. I have also gotten motor mounts replaced and compressor replaced at this location. I was able to drop off car early and got the car back at the end of the day. I was told of price of parts before I agreed to have service done which is extremely important. I am definitely going back.

At the Toyota dealership they wanted to charge me 3x as much and take 3x as long! So I went to AAMCO after seeing these stellar reviews and because of the great service when I was just asking for a quote. This place is super transparent on the work that need to be done, educates you so you can make the right decision on your car. They will print out a quote for you to evaluate if you want to which makes it super clear. No hidden fees! I ordered new tires and they shipped it from Jersey City the same night to do the replacement. I was able to have my car totally inspected and tires replaced within 24 hours of discovering nails in 2 of them.

This AAmco service center, is above and beyond great. Customer respect, advice given, listening and attention to detail is way above average. Highly recommended.

This visit on today was exquisite. I had a bit of a attitude because my vehicle was supposed to be done around 12pm ready for pick up but die to a late drop off of my car parts, I had to wait. Informed to come at around 5:30-6:00pm as per another phone call. I decided to leave my house at 4:07pm. I walked in and a woman whom i spoke within the phone earlier greeted me at the front desk and her comment immediately remind me of the phone call earlier and she turned my dissatisfaction into comfort. We chatted about our birth names had a few laughs and my visit just became a beautiful dose of joy. Thank you Heida I truly appreciated your customer service both on the phone and face to face. I was recently in for transmission issues. Went in and had I complete within 1 week. And got an amazing price for great service. Would highly recommend. I go out my way to go to them and I always leave satisfied.

This was my first time at this AAMCO location. I had initially scheduled an appointment online the night before. The following morning I received a call from the manager Robert about my appointment. I brought my vehicle in that afternoon. Because I am not from the area (I work in the area), it would have been difficult for me to just drop my car off. Heida (at the front desk), was very understanding of my situation and went above and beyond to get my car serviced. They were forthcoming and honest with what they felt the issue was and I was able to repair my car that day. This particular location it’s fairly new, with plenty of seating. There was bottled water for the customers, a flat screen TV, and air conditioning, They also have a pick up service for customers and are able to assist customers with receiving rental cars. Heida and staff was very personable and really wanted to get to know and help me. She even asked that I call back within a week to inform her if the issue has been resolved. I will definitely get my car serviced at this location again.

Let me just share that not only do I service my vehicle here, but, I also take my wifes and daughters cars to be fixed and back on the road. My experience with Hector has been nothing short of phenomenal! He goes above and beyond in every aspect of customer service, works with you, is accommodating and most importantly, trustworthy! I was having trouble with a leak in my transmission cooler hose lines, and I was worried that my trans was damaged as a result. I am safe to say that I made the right choice in coming to this shop. These guy are incredibly nice. Got stuck in jersey from Philly and got looked off by 4 different auto shops. My linkage cable had some issue and they all told me to try another shop or it would take days to fix. Aamco was the last shop the tow truck driver said he would take me too and they immediately help. They got my car up and running in less then an hour. Definitely appreciate them.

I was recommended by Firestone I had it towed to this place Amoco where I had an estimate left the car .I was told they did an diagnostic & codes, and set a price of$$$ . I paid upon picking up my car .Three days later same engine light appears I returned the car and was told they didn’t do codes and need to pay more money $$$. I’m writing this now because I only got my refund do to placing a comment how horrible this place really is I hope someone don’t go they this it’s NOT CORRECT ! I still have the letter you wrote and the text message Sad company!!

Got here my ac repaired were very satisfied. Later i thought i need brakes replaced and my choice was Aamco because i like how they do their job. Aamco of Hackensack checked my brakes and told that brakes are still good no need to replace it. I was very happy to hear that and I appreciate the honesty of Aamco personnel. Highly recommended!

WOOOOW...Cant say enough great things about this location. Omar and Jennifer guided us thru the process of replacing the transmission on our 2012 FORD Explorer. Replacing transmissions are expensive and they offered companies that assisted in paying for the repair which we would not have been aware of without their guidance. They were less expensive than the other places we visited. The work on our vehicle was stellar. Our vehicle feels brand new. Whenever we have a question the staff at this location is always available. Thank God we found an honest repair shop that takes pride in their work and satisfying the customer. I HIGHLY recommend this location for auto repairs or transmission replacements.

My 2006 Toyota Tacoma has 200k on it, the check engine light has been on for 7 years. I have been to several shops who would get it off long enough for me to squeeze it through inspection for it only to come on again. Earlier this year Hackensack AAMCO fixed it the first time and it has not come on since.In addition the Toyota Dealership that is literally across the parking lot told me that there were too many codes and that they could spend all day trying to solve the problems and this would cost a lot of money. And they said I needed a new transmission.Hackensack AAMCO fixed this too!!!!!!! HONEST PEOPLE AT HACKENSACK AAMCO.

I went to Hackensack Aamco for some car work since Aamco in Lyndhurst has closed. Nate was very helpful in getting my car ready for my car repairs and explained everything. Hector the owner was very friendly and offering anyone who need ride home so they didn’t have to hang around for their car. Danny was the mechanic that worked on my car and he was very good and very knowledgeable in answering all my questions. They do have payment plans. I was very pleased with the service I received. I recommend anyone to go.

I brought my old SUV in on this past Veterans Day to have a couple O2 Sensors replaced.While the mechanical was finishing the repair, he had mistakingly caused another part to break. They ordered the part on Tuesday, arrived Wednesday and was repaired free of charge.Since my suv was not available for use on Veterans Day, Hector, the owner, showed his honor to me as a 10 yr Navy Veteran, volunteered to drive me on some errands to enjoy my holiday.Aamco went above and beyond their duty resolve the problem their mechanic had caused.After all is said and done, this Aamco does fantastic work, promptly.Job well done guys!!
