My first time at this shop. The staff member told about the most asked for flavor. I forgot the name, but the name had Whiskey in it. I sat outside WOW THIS FLAVOR is KRAZAH. I now have a new favorite flavorShe said they run out of it a lot

I went here with my Fiancé and thought it would be nice and sweet, but it was by means very far from it. The customer service was disappointing and rude, Im not asking for a fake smile and how do you do?, but it was uncomfortable when I greeted the cashier, how are you and blatantly ignored my question then proceeded to ask me WhaT dO you waNt? The ice cream was good and I love supporting local business whenever possible, but GP Sweeties does not truly value their customers.

The Exhausted Parent ice cream they get in at times is one of my favorites of all time! I went there recently with friends to try it and they had a sign on the door saying they were closed even though FB & Google Maps hours said open. That was very frustrating. The next time I called to check their hours and the lady who answered the phone was not very friendly. I would only go here if Im in the area. I wont make a special trip again.

This is a great establishment. The store is fun and eclectic and appeals to both adults and children. Everything weve tried has been a hit. Neither my children nor I have ever felt disrespected or ignored in this establishment, to the contrary, we have always felt welcomed and appreciated with every visit and the kids always want to come back. They serve excellent products with a smile and a winning attitude.

Wonderful establishment and excellent product...I had the pleasure of being served by a friendly employee who welcomed me and provided superb service. As a resident of GPP over the last 17 years this is the type of service that I’ve come to expect and have always received from all 5 Grosse pointe community establishments.

Nice place they have ice cream and candies vintage place they changed the store front name to gp sweets which is kind of annoying but fine great place would recommend.

Love this shop!! Use to come here for book reading as a kid! So very nostalgic!

Wall to wall candy (I love Australian licorice), chocolates of every kind, cookies (my fave being English shortbread), a dozen ice creams (Zanzibar chocolate rules them all), gourmet coffee, tea and cold drinks. Add in local jams, jellies and honey, literally every 80s board game and toy you can remember (all for sale) and gift baskets. We love sitting in their library watching our kids discover everything but my fave spot is out front under the sun. Lol, with my Zanzibar chocolate ice cream in a sugar cone!

I’m trying to get some answers from the owners because some people posted that they were denied service and they were black .. yet a white couple entered the location and were served .. they arrived at 647 pm the same time . Are we truly facing this with your business too !!!

Im a vegan and they have vegan ice cream! I love that they care enough to do this. This is a cute little place that was formerly a book store and they have wisely kept some of the books and the built in book shelves. Its also an old fashioned candy store. A nice place for a sweet treat after dining at the Park Grill in downtown Grosse Pointe Park.

They do not believe in equality and denies service to minorities when convenient.

One of the best freshly made full of flavor icecream I have had. Make sure to get the FAT ELVIS, its banana heaven with caramel and chocolate and nuts. The only complaint I have is they seem to close sooner than their hours in the summer sometimes. They also have nice candies.

This neighborly sweets store also has good, cheap coffee. Free wifi is awesome plus they have a large library of books to read (none for my tastes but may appeal to literary geeks). Overall selection of sweet treats is quite large, my personal favorites is the ice cream and pop corn. Extremely friendly service and great prices!

As a self proclaimed ice cream connoisseur and book reader this place is amazing. The owner was there at let us stay and read a few minutes past closing. Delicious ice cream, a good cup of coffee and good book. Who could ask for more?

Absolutely amazing place! When we have family visit we always manage to stop by to see all of the candy and sodas. But the ice cream shop is what I really look forward to. Super clean, really nice staff and the best Peanut Butter Parfait Ive ever had.

An amazing ice cream and candy store.. Wait coffee as well.Their ice cream comes from Wisconsin... Its crazy delicious. My favorite over there is the zanzibar chocolate ice cream and dark chocolate covered coffee beans. Yum yum.. They have complementary coffee after 7 on weekends.The place is amazing, it has an small old book store kind of sitting area.. Ads to the vibe.

This is one yummy little ice cream shop! Love the library theme. Good flavors from all around, friendly folks, perfect place for the tiny town that its in! Highly recommended!

Denied black family but allowed white family inside. Locked the doors at 6:45 when the white family walked in but they dont close until 7, though their hours show 8.

They carry penny candy in bulk! They have $1 bags for kids that have a fun toy in them. And, they serve ice cream. The owner is so lovely!
