My garage door opener slowly started shutting down week by week. After a month of replacing batteries, the keypad & remotes I started calling around. The first company I called never answered, sat on hold 15 min but couldn’t handle the terrible hold commentary as it sounded like blown out speakers so called A1 who was 2nd on my list. They answered after about a 15-20 min hold & was able to get me an appt within 3 days. I had a feeling we’d need to upgrade so was prepared for the sales pitch. Kyle did an amazing job explaining what was wrong & showing me why he suggested the replacements. He offered 3 different choices for each of my products & explained each one in detail, plus had an explanation for all my questions. Jessie came to install our new garage door yesterday. He was absolutely wonderful! Jessie was helpful and knowledgeable, taking out the old door and installing the new one with efficiency.We had wanted a new door for awhile, but the sudden damage to the existing door when our RV backed into the door, made this install an immediate necessity for both safety and security. We were scheduled to leave in the RV the following day, and contemplated cancelling our trip due to this breech. When the first technician (Finn) came out to assess the damage and secure the door, we were told that a new door would not be available until next February due to supply chain issues. Finn was able to brace the door panels and secure them so we could go off in the motor home knowing the house was secure from unwanted entry.A few days into our vacation excursion, I received a text message and several phone messages stating a door was available and could be installed upon our return home. We had terrible WiFi and cell service at our location, and we’re unable to speak to anyone directly to schedule an installation. I was able to send a text message after repeated attempts, and let Finn know when we would be home and requested they schedule anytime after that date. The new door was in place three days after our return!When Jessie arrived, we had been unable to remove the items inside the garage door to provide him the best access. This did not faze Jessie; he helped us move the items out of the way once the door was removed.The technicians and office staff at A-1 Garage Doors are superb. I recommend their services to everyone.

Amazing service provided by the company when I called and amazing service done by the repairman Kyle. The garage door broke and did not open. I was stuck at home. Kyle fully repaired it and now it opens and closes just like new. As a matter of fact, I lived at my house for 9 years and the garage door never operated as quiet and smooth as it does now. I contacted another company I totally. That company ended up taking over 2.5 hours to call me back when we got disconnected, so I called A1. I called because of the stellar ratings on Google. I am glad that the 1st company did not work out because Kyle came and fixed/replaced what was needed and saved us from the hassle of manually opening and closing our garage door, all the while being careful that it didn’t fall down with too much force.Although, the replacement was a bit more than we anticipated (it usually always is) we are super happy about the decision to scrap the late 90’s model for a new one. Kyle answered all questions, thoroughly, and put me at ease with my decision (I prob would have done it anyways though).We actually have a garage door that opens and is so quiet, it’s amazing. Technician Conner installed a brand new lift master motor and it runs so much better than our old motor from 1994. Much more quiet. Very efficient and pricing was great. Cleaned up afterwards and hauled away old materials. I will never use another garage door company besides A1 Garage Door Service.

Started by calling a number and they sent Dean out that week. I wasn’t aware there was a charge for this and explained that I shared the garage with someone but he was more than understanding and waived the fee for us to pay at the end as we needed approval from our HOA before service could be completed. Our HOA took a very long time to approve and he checked in on this process which was appreciated. Once we got things set he was able to come within a week and get us set up. Our garage doors and openers were about 30 years old and were not functioning well at all. I called and Kyle came out and repaired a broken spring and gave me information about replacing the doors. We decided to go ahead with replacing all 3 doors and openers.The day of install, they let me know they were on their way, 3 guys showed up and worked all day (one of the warmest days we’ve had this year) until the job was complete. I LOVE these doors. I feel like we moved into a new house. The openers are SO quiet compared to our old ones . The doors run smoothly. They don’t get hung up anywhere! Kyle, Rico and Troy were awesome. Polite, efficient and professional. They all 3 seemed to really enjoy their work and did an amazing job.I highly recommend this company. Excellent customer service and got the job done in a quick manner.Technicians are paid by commission which probably explains why I was quoted $450 for the job and in 30 min I was than quoted over $600. Only paid cause it needed to be done . Not happy about that is my only negative .

Friday, at about 3:45 pm I backed into my garage door when it abruptly stopped opening, and the shadows on the door made it difficult to tell it was unopened. As a result, I bent the track on the left and pulled a roller off the track, on the right. The door opened all the way at that point, but could not shut. We live in a great neighborhood in Ridgefield, but still have items that we dont want vulnerable to mischief makers and thieves. My first call I was able to.make an appointment for Monday of the coming week. That felt uncomfortable. I confirmed the appointment, with a caveat to cancel if I could arrange a sooner service call.I then called A-1 and was able to schedule an emergency appointment. Dean was out in nearly 1.5 hours and completed both the repair of the track and replacement of the worn and failing rollers, not only on my car door, but the loudly complaining rollers on my husbands side of the garage as well. In the time Dean was here, he appraised the good and needy parts of our doors, clearly and courteously explained what needed to be done and different levels of service available. He came with a mask on to protect our health. Dean worked professionally, communicated explicitly and made me confident I had made a great choice. 👍

Purchased a townhome only to realize that the garage door needed “maintenance”. If I could give Nothamyell J six stars, I would. He quickly assess the issues in my 23 year old garage door, and gave me the options for how they could be corrected. All the parts were in his truck, so within a couple of hours, he had refurbished everything back to better than new.

A1 came out for an estimate when my garage door stopped working. The technician Kyle was able to come out 2 days after I called. He was informative and easy to work with. He walked me through the issues he found as well as his recommendations and discussed options for extending my old garage door openers life or replacing it. I ended up having to use a different company due to my home warranty restrictions. Its my own fault for not going that route first but I would definitely use A1 again in the future after my warranty expires.

I had recently moved into the house and found the garage was opening randomly during the day as well as in the middle of the night and was missing the safety sensors. Our garage door suddenly would not open. we are in the midst of Covid and Smoke from fires. I called the company who was here 2 years ago and was told it would be a week before they could come. I had a quote given to us the first week of November for 2 garage door to be installed. The gentleman said it would take about 30-60 days to get it installed. We excepted the bid. Never could get In touch with him. I called the office after 2 months had past and I was able to get a hold him. the bidder said he tried calling but never revived a voice message or email from him. We talked finally after the office asked him to call me and he said he would call me back to take payment before doing the work. It’s been months and I still no call back.

Called A1 Garage Door Service as my 27 year old door had hinges that were worn and sagging. Tech Conner came out the very next day & did a complete inspection of my door. After talking with him I decided it would be best to have the door replaced. I received a quote within minutes with a very good price. Better than the big box stores. Can’t wait for it to be installed.New door was installed yesterday. WOW what a great new look it gave my home. Those springs are huge compared to the old ones.
